Twenty-four normal adult women read part of the Rainbow Passage and sustained vowels three trials each. Utterances were assessed for selected parameters measured by Visi-Pitch (average and SD of fundamental frequency (F0), average and SD of dBA, perturbation, and percent voiced/unvoiced/pause). Assessment of each parameter included measures of central tendency, dispersion, and distribution characteristics (skewness and kurtosis) of the data and of the ranges of values that would include 95% of the scores (95% fiduciary limits). Generally, differences for the group between the three trials were not significant. Intersubject variability for only a few parameters was less than 20% of the parameter's mean. For vowels, variability of jitter was 30–48% of the mean. Eight subjects provided performances 2 months later to obtain an estimate of intrasubject variability over time. There were desirable intrasubject correlations between performances for mean F0, jitter in reading and on vowels /i/ and /a/, and percent of voicing. Inter- and intrasubject variability seems restricted and the data appear to resemble a normally distributed function for mean F0 on reading, jitter on /i/, and percent of voicing. Thus, these parameters may have statistical merit for use in vocal testing.  相似文献

Effect of temporal jitter on the performance of copper vapor laser (CVL) master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) chain using Monte-Carlo techniques was studied. The MOPA chain comprised an oscillator and five amplification stages. Amplification of CVL signal in each amplifier stage was modeled using rate equation based optical model. The effect of temporal jitter on the pulse energy stability in CVL MOPA chain was estimated for various jitter values. Our studies show that the pulse energy spread and the pulse energy instability increases with increase in jitter which in turn depends on the gain pulse width and the jitter considered. Pulse to pulse gain variation in CVL MOPA chain was studied along with temporal jitter. The acceptable tolerance limit on temporal jitter is ±4 ns for a pulse energy stability of 5% of CVL MOPA chain.  相似文献

Timing jitter performance in binary optical preamplifier direct detection system is investigated through both the analytical method and computer simulation method. The presented analytical method is based on the moment generating function (MGF) and has taken into account the influence of optical filter on the optical pulse shape. It can be used to optimize the timing jitter performance for linear clock extraction scheme for any type of optical filter and narrow bandpass electrical filter. The presented computer simulation method is capable of dealing with any nonlinear clock extraction scheme and also the impact of laser phase noise on timing jitter performance.  相似文献

利用变分法研究了时域和频域的控制技术同步幅度调制器和固定频率滤波器对色散管理孤子系统的作用.得到了计算定时抖动的解析表达式,利用得到的公式,可以计算不同控制参量时,孤子系统定时抖动的大小,从而优化同步幅度调制器和固定频率滤波器的设计.结果也证明了滤波器对喇曼效应引起的时间抖动的抑制作用.  相似文献

提出一种新型40 Gb/s全光3R再生器方案。采用高精细度法布里-珀罗滤波器进行时钟提取。时钟提取前,通过高稳定光源对输入信号光波长变换实现信号光波长和法布里-珀罗滤波器梳状窗口对准;时钟提取后,接半导体光放大器(SOA)进一步消除时钟信号噪声。全光判决中,采用双半导体光放大器串联增大非线性性能,提高了判决门的响应速度。判决输出接窄带滤波器去除脉冲啁啾拖尾,减小码型效应。实验中,恶化40 Gb/s光脉冲信号通过全光3R再生器可以得到再生脉冲。输入恶化信号时间抖动大于5 ps,脉冲宽度大于16 ps,再生得到的信号时间抖动小于1.5 ps。再生信号相对于输入信噪比改善14 dB。连续稳定工作记录大于15 h。通过实验验证,这种全光3R再生器方案成功地实现了40 Gb/s信号的再生。  相似文献

针对某型号光电吊舱大速率跟踪时的不平稳现象,提出了一种改进的滤波滞后超前补偿网络。运用MATLAB软件建立了系统机械传动装置的数学模型,分析了该滤波网络对系统动态性能的改进效果。相对于常规滤波器,该滤波网络既考虑了中心谐振频率对系统动态性能的影响,又兼顾了其他谐振点对系统性能的影响。实验结果表明:采用该滤波网络能显著提高系统的动态性能,有效抑制抖动幅度,且数字滤波更易于实现。  相似文献

This study compared acoustic and electroglottographic (EGG) jitter from [a] vowels of 103 dysphonic speakers. The EGG recordings were chosen according to their intensity, signal-to-noise ratio, and percentage of unvoiced intervals, while acoustic signals were selected based on voicing detection and the reliability of jitter extraction. The agreement between jitter measures was expressed numerically as a normalized difference. In 63.1% (65/103) of the cases the differences fell within +/-22.5%. Positive differences above +22.5% were associated with increased acoustic jitter and occurred in 12.6% (13/103) of the speakers. These were, typically, cases of small nodular lesions without problems in the posterior larynx. On the other hand, substantial rises in EGG jitter leading to differences below -22.5% took place in 24.3% (25/103) of the speakers and were related to hyperfunctional voices, creaky-like voices, small laryngeal asymmetries affecting the arytenoids, or small-to-moderate glottal chinks. A clinically relevant outcome of the study was the possibility of detecting gentle laryngeal asymmetries among cases of large unilateral increase in EGG jitter. These asymmetries can be linked with vocal problems that are often overlooked in endoscopic examinations.  相似文献

In this paper, the dispersion managed soliton (DMS) transmission equation is built on considering the effects of polarization mode dispersion (PMD) and filter control. The DMS transmission of filtering control in constant birefringence fibers is firstly analyzed by varitional method, from which the evolving rules of characteristical DMS parameters are obtained. Secondly, the stability of DMS transmission and its timing jitter are investigated in the random varying birefringence fibers with the conventional model of PMD. The results reveal that filter control DMS system has powerful robustness to PMD effects and DMS's timing jitter can be decreased considerably with the help of filters.  相似文献

超导纳米线单光子探测(SNSPD)器件具有较低的时间抖动特性,可以实现低误码率的QKD和高精度的激光测距。文中对超导纳米线单光子探测系统的时间抖动进行了详细的分析和测量,分析了SNSPD系统各部分对系统抖动的贡献。使用时间相关的单光子计数技术(TCSPC)和示波器的抖动分析软件,分别测量了SNSPD系统的时间抖动,比较了两种方法的优劣。在两种测量方法下,系统总的时间抖动分别约为42ps和31ps,计算后得到单光子探测器件的抖动约为25ps。发现放大器的性能对系统时间抖动影响明显。通过使用不同放大器比较分析了测量得到的时间抖动。  相似文献

The influence of in-line filters on the phase jitter of chirped optical pulses propagating in arbitrary dispersion-managed systems is studied with a semianalytic moment method. Because of its stabilizing effect on the amplitude, filtering reduces the nonlinear phase jitter that accumulates through self-phase modulation. As in the case of constant-dispersion soliton links, we observe that the phase variance grows only linearly with distance in the presence of filtering. Phase jitter reduction is observed and accurately predicted by the moment method in two dispersion-managed systems with different levels of nonlinearity and filter strength.  相似文献

This paper analyzes the random phenomenon of 3D positions when tracking moving objects using the infrared (IR) stereo camera, and proposes a probability model of 3D positions. The proposed probability model integrates two random error phenomena. One is the pixel quantization error which is caused by discrete sampling pixels in estimating disparity values of stereo camera. The other is the timing jitter which results from the irregular acquisition-timing in the uncooled IR cameras. This paper derives a probability distribution function by combining jitter model with pixel quantization error. To verify the proposed probability function of 3D positions, the experiments on tracking fast moving objects are performed using IR stereo camera system. The 3D depths of moving object are estimated by stereo matching, and be compared with the ground truth obtained by laser scanner system. According to the experiments, the 3D depths of moving object are estimated within the statistically reliable range which is well derived by the proposed probability distribution. It is expected that the proposed probability model of 3D positions can be applied to various IR stereo camera systems that deal with fast moving objects.  相似文献

Two mode-locked Ti:sapphire lasers of different wavelengths were precisely synchronized by a simple feedback system employing sum-frequency generation (cross correlation). When the timing error exceeded the pulse duration, the periodic bunch of the sum-frequency pulse was used for rough timing adjustment. Using cross correlation with a stretched pulse, we struck a balance between wide locking range and sensitive timing detection. When the two lasers were well-synchronized, we obtained a continuous cross-correlation pulse train for 3 min. The holding time of the laser synchronization was extended to over one hour by adding a motorized stage to the PZT-mounted cavity mirror. We estimated the rms timing jitter between the two lasers by a scanning cross-correlation measurement. We confirmed that the rms timing jitter of the two lasers during 1.8 s was 28 fs. We propose and demonstrate all-optical clock recovery (OR) from nonreturn-to-zero differential phase-shift- keying (NRZ-DPSK) signals at different bit rates theoretically and experimentally. By pre-processing with a single optical filter, clock component can be enhanced significantly and thus clock signal can be extracted from the preprocessed signals, by cascading a OR unit with a semiconductor optical amplifier based fibre ring laser. Compared with the previous preprocessing schemes, the single filter is simple and suitable for different bit rates. The clock signals can be achieved with extinction ratio over lOdB and rms timing jitter of 0.86 and 0.9 at 10 and 20 Gb/s, respectively. The output performances related to the bandwidth and the detuning of the filter are analysed. By simply using a filter with larger bandwidth, much higher operation can be achieved easily.  相似文献

An optical filter is employed to transport a 15-ns light pulse from a high power ruby laser for precise triggering of a gas filed high voltage spark gap. The maximum power density that can be transmitted by the fiber is limited to 6 × 1012 W/m2 above which laser induced damage occurs on the fiber entrance face. The overall throughput efficiency of the optical system was measured as 62 percent. Results are presented for the switching delay time and associated jitter for various mixtures of A and N2 gas, and as a function of the voltage across a pulse-charged Blumlein generator gap. Pulse charging of the Blumlein generator was accomplished by a three-stage Marx generator, resulting in output voltages up to 250 kV. It was conclusively demonstrated that an optical fiber will transport a sufficiently intense laser pulse to evince subnanosecond jitter in the triggering of a pressurized gas switch under the conditions studied.  相似文献

The timing jitter of 78-GHz optical time-division multiplexed pulses has been evaluated over nine decades of Fourier frequency by the time-domain demodulation technique. For downconverting the 78-GHz pulse intensity into a low-frequency i.f. signal, an optoelectronic harmonic mixing scheme with a Mach-Zehnder intensity modulator was employed. The rms timing jitter has been estimated to be 3.74 ps for 2.5 mHz-18 MHz bandwidth.  相似文献

Though some clinicians believe chronic sinusitis is associated with dysphonia, studies confirming such a relationship are not available. This pilot study investigated vocal characteristics of chronic sinusitis patients compared to those of nonsinusitis patients. Nineteen male patients were evaluated in a single-blind, nonrandomized, prospective study at a Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. After candidates for the experimental and control groups were thoroughly screened [nasal and laryngology examinations, sinus computed tomography (CT) scan, history], 10 chronic sinusitis patients were assigned to the experimental group, nine patients without chronic sinusitis were assigned to the control group. Visi-Pitch analysis of their speech evaluated fundamental frequency, intensity, and perturbation. The evaluator described voice quality and vowel prolongation. Videostroboscopic examination evaluated glottic closure, supraglottic activity, vocal fold edge, amplitude, mucosal wave, and nonvibrating portion. Visi-Pitch analysis and vowel prolongation for each group was compared using an independent t-test. The average fundamental frequency mean was 113.43+/-32.75 Hz for the control group and 112.29+/-19.71 for the experimental group. This study established methods and parameters to determine if a relationship between chronic sinusitis and dysphonia actually exists. It did not establish a relationship between these entities, possibly due to the small sample size enrolled in the study, but determined that 126 subjects would be necessary to achieve significant results.  相似文献

在时间--频率域中,啁啾脉冲被淹没在放大自发辐射等噪声中,且其瞬时频率线性分布,基于此,提出采用光谱扫描滤波的办法来提升高功率飞秒激光系统的信噪比,并以法布里--珀罗干涉仪作为光谱扫描滤波器,对该法提升信噪比的效果进行了详细的理论分析.采用短时傅里叶变换方法,研究了光谱扫描滤波器对自发辐射放大(ASE)的滤波效果,数值分析表明,在时间抖动为-2 ps到2 ps之间、光谱扫描滤波器的通带宽度为0.4 nm条件下,该法能将飞秒激光系统的信噪比提升2个量级,而啁啾信号光以超过90%的透光率通过光谱扫描滤波器;级联光谱扫描滤波方式能进一步提升飞秒激光信噪比.  相似文献
