The solid-state IR spectrum of Me(3)PAuSCN shows two signals in the range of the C-N stretching vibrations at 2075 and 2113 cm(-1). On the basis of thoroughly tested quantum chemical ab initio calculations (MP2 level of theory) these signals have been assigned to the two isomeric forms Me(3)PAuNCS and Me(3)PAuSCN. The molecular structures, the vibrational frequencies, and the relative energies of the two species have been calculated and the results compared with the experimental IR data. Treatment of Me(3)PAuSCN with equimolar quantities of [(Me(3)P)Au](+)[SbF(6)](-) in CH(2)Cl(2) at -78 degrees C gives the dinuclear reaction product [C(7)H(9)Au(2)NP(2)S](+)[SbF(6)](-) in high yields. A comparison of results of ab initio calculations and IR data suggest that at least three isomeric cationic species [(R(3)PAu)(2)NCS](+), [(R(3)PAu)(2)SCN](+) and [(R(3)PAu)SCN(AuPR(3))](+) are present, the second and third being the predominant components. The structures and vibrational frequencies of all three species have been calculated. The relative energies in the gas phase and in solution are discussed and compared with the corresponding data of the experimental IR spectra.  相似文献

The complex (dielectric) permittivity has been measured as a function of frequency between 1 MHz and 40 GHz for aqueous solutions of pyridine, 2- and 3-methylpyridine, as well as 2,4- and 2,6-dimethylpyridine at various temperatures and solute concentrations. Different relaxation spectral functions are used to analytically represent the data, in particular the Cole-Cole function. The solute contribution to the extrapolated static permittivity has been calculated to show that, in correspondence with other aqueous solutions of organic molecules and ions, the permittivity of the solvent seems to be enhanced with respect to the pure water value. Also in accordance with other aqueous systems it is found that the principal dielectric relaxation time for equimolar solutions of stereo isomers at the same temperature may significantly differ from one another. A further result is the finding of an unusually strong temperature dependence in the relaxation time of the 1 molar solution of 2,6-dimethylpyridine.  相似文献

Titanium and zirconium complexes with a pyridine diamide ligand, [2,6-(RNCH2)2NC5H3]2− (PDMP; R = 2,6-dimethylphenyl) have been synthesized and their catalytic behaviors investigated for ethylene polymerization. It was found that the zirconium complexes, [PDMP]ZrCl2 (7) and [PDMP][ZrCl3 × THF]2 (8), gave higher activities than the titanium complexes, [PDMP]TiCl2 (5) and [PDMP][TiCl3]2 (6). The bimetallic complexes (6, 8) gave higher activities than the corresponding monometallic complexes (5, 7). The titanium complexes gave polymers with higher molecular weight (Mw) than the zirconium complexes. The molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of the polymers obtained from the pyridine diamide complexes were much broader than that of the normal metallocene catalysts. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. A series of metal complexes with a tripodal ligand, TMPzA, have been synthesized and characterized, and their single crystal structures have been determined by X-ray diffraction techniques. It has been found that when pyridyl derivatives as auxiliary ligands are added to the reaction mixture, the tripodal ligand TMPzA loses a pendant arm and coordinates with the metal centers to form the complexes: [Cu(DMPzA)(2,2′-bipy)]·(ClO4)2 (1), [(DMPzA)Cu(μ-4,4′-bipy)Cu(DMPzA)]·(ClO4)4 (2), [(TMPzA)Cu(μ-H2DPC)Cu(DMPzA)]·(ClO4)2 (3), [(DMPzA)Co(μ-H2DPC)Co(TMPzA)]·(ClO4)2 (4) [TMPzA = tris(3,5-bimethyl-pyrazolymethyl)amine; bipy = bipyridine; H2DPC = pyridyl-2,6-bicarboxylate; DMPzA = bis(3,5-bimethyl-pyrazolmethyl)amine]. In order to investigate the effect of the pyridyl ring on the cleavage of the pendant arm in the tripodal ligand, a fifth complex, [(TMPzA)Co(μ-HZPC)Co(TMPzA)·(H2O)2]·(ClO4)3 (5), has been prepared by using pyrazole-carboxylate (HZPC) instead of pyridyl derivatives, and its crystal structure has been determined. It has been found that the pendant arm in TMPzA ligand has not been removed in complex 5. The results show that the complexes with TMPzA have a strong ability to recognize pyridine compounds in methanol solvent, and they have potential application for molecular devices in the future. The cleavage mechanism has been studied by DFT calculations and ESI-MS spectra.  相似文献

Abstract

The present study describes L-hydroxy proline catalyzed unpredicted formation of 4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridines instead of expected 4,7-dihydro-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridines in aqueous ethanol at ambient temperature through one-pot three-component reaction. Furthermore, this protocol was evaluated using green chemistry metrics indicating green relevance of the present synthetic methodology. Most of the synthesized compounds were evaluated for their antitubercular activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37RV strain, showing excellent results based on minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC). Among the screened derivatives 4f, 4i, and 4j exhibited antitubercular activity with promising MIC value of 1.6?μg/mL.  相似文献

[RuHCl(CO)(PPh3)2(py)], [RuHCl(CO)(PPh3)2(pyIm)] and [RuCl(CO)(PPh3)2(pyoh)]·2CH3OH complexes (where py = pyridine, pyIm = imidazo[1,2-α]pyridine, pyoh = 2-hydroxy-6-methylpyridine) have been prepared and studied by IR, NMR, UV-Vis spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. Electronic structures and bonding of the complexes were defined on the basis of DFT method, and the pyridine derivative ligands were compared on the basis of their donor-acceptor properties. Values of the ligand field parameter 10Dq and Racah’s parameters were estimated for the studied compounds, and the luminescence properties were determined.  相似文献

Six new gold(III) complexes [Au(bzpam)Cl2] (1, bzpamH = N‐benzyl picolinamide), [Au(hetpam)Cl2] (2, hetpamH = N‐(2‐hydroxyethyl) picolinamide), [Au(pypam)Cl]AuCl4 (3, pypamH = N‐(pyridin‐2‐ylmethyl) picolinamide), [Au(dmepam)Cl]AuCl4 (4, dmepamH = N‐(2‐(dimethylamino)ethyl) picolinamide), [Au(bhetpydam)Cl] (5, bhetpydamH2 = N,N′‐bis(2‐hydroxyethyl) pyridine‐ 2,6‐dicarboxamide) and [Au2(hedam)Cl4] (6, hedamH2 = N,N′‐(hexane‐1,6‐diyl) dipicolinamide) with deprotonated pyridyl carboxamide were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity, IR, H1 NMR and C13 NMR techniques. The analytical data showed that deprotonated pyridyl carboxamide coordinated with gold(III) ions through a nitrogen atom. The cytotoxicity against Bel‐7402 and HL‐60 cell lines was tested by MTT (3‐(4,5‐Dimethylthiazol‐2‐yl)‐2,5‐diphenyltetrazolium bromide) and SRB (sulforhodamine B) assays. The results indicated that the complexes exerted cytotoxic effects against Bel‐7402 and HL‐60 cell lines, complex 6 had better cytotoxicity than cisplatin, and complex 3 displayed similar cytotoxicity to cisplatin against Bel‐7402 cell line. The results suggested that the characteristics of ligands had an important effect on cytotoxicity of complexes. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We present a comparative Density Functional Theory (DFT) study based on two different implementations of relativistic effects within the Kohn-Sham (KS) approach, to describe the metal-ligand interaction in I(3)M-L complexes (L = NH(3), NCCH(3), CO and M = La, Nd, U). In the first model, the scalar corrections were included by a quasi-relativistic approach (QR) via the so-called ZORA or Pauli Hamiltonians, while in the second, these effects are taken into account in a quasi-Relativistic Effective Core Potential (RECP). These relativistic approaches were used in conjunction with various gradient corrected (GGA) or hybrid (SCH) functionals. The structural parameters obtained from geometry optimizations have been compared to experimental structural trends, and rationalized by a KS orbital analysis. Both approaches provide similar results for mainly ionic metal-ligand bonds (e.g., for the sigma-donor ligand L = NH(3)). For the pi-acceptor ligands (NCCH(3), CO), the QR approach is in agreement with experimental trends and consistent with the presence of a backbonding interaction between U(III) and the neutral ligand, which does not exist in the lanthanide homologues. The GGA/RECP methods also reproduce this phenomenon, while the SCH/RECP scheme fails to describe this interaction. The role of the RECP, of its size, and of additional polarization functions has also been examined. Finally, the failure of the SCH/RECP approach was interpreted as a consequence of a bad estimation of frontier orbital energy levels in the uranium and ligand species.  相似文献

We study the adsorption of a variety of small molecules on helical gold nanorods using relativistic density functional theory. We focus on Au40 which consists of a central linear strand of five gold atoms with seven helical strands of five gold atoms on a coaxial tube. All molecules preferentially adsorb at a single low‐coordinated gold atom on the coaxial tube at an end of Au40. In most cases, there is significant charge transfer (CT) between Au40 and the adsorbate, for CO and NO2, there is CT from the Au40 to adsorbate while for all other molecules there is CT from the adsorbate to Au40. Thus, Au40‐adsorbate can be described as a donor–accepter complex and we use charge decomposition analysis to better understand the adsorption process. We determine the adsorption energy order to be C5H5N >NO2 > CO > NH3 > CH2?CH2 > CH2?CH? CHO > NO > HC?CH > H2S > SO2 > HCN > CH3OH > H2C?O > O2 > H2O > CH4 > N2. We find that the Au? C, Au? N, Au? S, and Au? O bonds are surprisingly strong, with clear implications for reactivity enhancement of the adsorbate. The Au? H bond is relatively weak but, for interactions via an H atom that is bonded to a carbon atom (e.g., CH4), we find that there is large charge polarization of the Au? H? C moiety and partial activation of the inert C? H bond. Although the Au? S and Au? O bonds are generally weaker than the Au? C and Au? N bonds, we find that adsorption of H2S or H2O causes greater distortion of Au40 in the binding region. However, the degree of distortion is small and the helical structure is retained, demonstrating the stability of the helical Au40 nanorod under perturbations. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

The geometry, frequency, and intensity of the vibrational bands of imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine (which is abbreviated as impy) were obtained by the density functional theory (DFT) calculations with BLYP, B3LYP, and B3PW91 functionals and 6-31G(d) basis set. The optimized geometric bond lengths and bond angles are in good agreement with the available X-ray data. The infrared spectrum of imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine was computed by the DFT method in order to reproduce the vibrational wavenumbers and intensities with an accuracy, which allows reliable vibrational assignments. Total energy distribution and isotopic shifts have been calculated in order to help for the perfect assignment of the vibrational modes. The zinc halide complexes Zn(impy)2X2 [X = Cl, Br, and I] have also been synthesized. The compounds were characterized using the elemental analysis, FT-IR spectra, and quantum chemical calculations. The geometry optimization of Zn(impy)2X2 yields distorted tetrahedral environment around Zn ion.  相似文献

Histamine-copper(II) complexes have been studied using experimental methods and density functional theory. Preferred coordination centres and possible structures of aqua complexes have been determined. On the basis of equilibrium and spectroscopic studies the endocyclic nitrogen atom has been confirmed to as a coordinating centre in the CuH(Hist), Cu(Hist) and Cu(Hist)(OH) complexes. The involvement of the amino group linked to the aliphatic chain in the Cu(II) coordination has been additionally proven by the detection of the Cu(Hist) and Cu(Hist)(OH) complexes. The computed stabilisation energies demonstrate that the Cu(H2O)4(Hist) and Cu(OH)(Hist)(H2O)3 chelates as well as the CuH(H2O)5(Hist) compounds are the most energetically stable in the media studied. The most stable conformers of the neutral form of the histamine molecule are in the Cu(Hist) and Cu(Hist)(OH) species. These complexes have a gauche structure stabilized by an intramolecular hydrogen bond. The electronic Jahn-Teller effect is mainly responsible for the tetragonal distortion of the octahedral MHL-(H2O)5 complex. Strong electrostatic interactions and polarisation effects contribute to the enhanced stability for all of the complexes studied. The results of the computations confirm that histamine is effective in coordinating to the Cu(II) ions in biological systems. The theoretical results fully confirm the coordination modes proposed in the experiment and predict the most reliable geometry and energetic stability of the aqua complexes.  相似文献

Reaction of benzotriazole with 2,6-bis(bromomethyl)pyridine and 2,6-pyridinedicarbonyl dichloride yields the tridentate ligands 2,6-bis(benzotriazol-1-ylmethyl)pyridine (1) and 2,6-bis(benzotriazol-1-ylcarbonyl) pyridine (2). The molecular structures of the ligands were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. These ligands react with CrCl3(THF)3 in THF to form neutral complexes, [CrCl3{2,6-bis(benzotriazolyl)pyridine-N,N,N}] (3, 4), which are isolated in high yields as air stable green solids and characterized by mass spectra (ESI), FTIR spectroscopy, UV–Visible, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and magnetic measurements. After reaction with methylaluminoxane (MAO), the chromium(III) complexes are active in the polymerization of ethylene showing a bimodal molecular weight distribution. A DFT computational investigation of the polymerization reaction mechanism shows that the most likely reaction pathway originates from the mer configuration when the spacer is CH2 (complex 3) and from the fac configuration when the spacer is CO (complex 4).  相似文献

A series of Pd and Pt chloride complexes with pyridine (py), 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy) and 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), of general formulae trans-/cis-[M(py)2Cl2], [M(py)4]Cl2, trans-/cis-[M(py)2Cl4], [M(bpy)Cl2], [M(bpy)Cl4], [M(phen)Cl2], [M(phen)Cl4], where M = Pd, Pt, was studied by 1H, 195Pt, and 15N NMR. The 90-140 ppm low-frequency 15N coordination shifts are discussed in terms of such structural features of the complexes as the type of platinide metal, oxidation state, coordination sphere geometry and the type of ligand. The results of quantum-chemical NMR calculations were compared with the experimental 15N coordination shifts, well reproducing their magnitude and correlation with the molecular structure.  相似文献

Density functional theory methods correctly describe some properties of nitrosooxides. Electronic spectral data have been calculated for seven para-substituted aromatic nitrosooxides in different solvents using the UB3LYP/6-311+G(d,p) approximation. The calculated positions of maxima in UV spectra correlate with experimental data with high coefficient. Equations are suggested for predicting the positions of absorption maxima for the para-R-C6H4-NOO under study.  相似文献

Three new mononuclear copper(II) complexes, [CuL(2-fca)(CH3OH)]ClO4?·?CH3OH (1), [CuL(m-nba)(CH3OH)]ClO4 (2), and [CuL(pic)(ClO4)]?·?CH3OH (3), were synthesized and structurally characterized, where L is 2,6-bis(benzimidazol-2-yl)pyridine, while 2-fca, m-nba, and pic are the anions of 2-furoic acid, m-nitrobenzoic acid, and picolinic acid, respectively. All of them were characterized by elemental analysis, infrared, UV-Vis, and X-ray crystallography. In 1 and 2, the Cu(II) resides within a distorted square-pyramidal N3O2 coordination sphere with three nitrogens of L, one carboxylate oxygen, and one methanol. In 3, Cu(II) is coordinated with three nitrogens of L, one nitrogen and one oxygen of picolinate, and one oxygen of perchlorate in a distorted octahedral geometry. Two molecules of 1, 2, and 3 are interacted by intermolecular hydrogen-bonding interactions and strong π–π stacking interactions to form a dinuclear structural unit. The dinuclear units are further connected by H-bonds via perchlorate or lattice methanol to form a 1-D chain for 1 and 2-D network structures for 2 and 3. Hydrogen-bonding and π–π stacking interactions are important for the stabilization of the final supramolecular structures of the three complexes.  相似文献

Coordination of the ligands derived from benzimidazole with Cr(III) led to the formation of new fluorescent Cr (III) complexes. The structures of the new complexes were established by spectral, analytical data and Job’s method and an octahedral geometry was proposed for the complexes. Also, the DFT methods were employed to gain a deeper insight into geometry and spectral properties of the new Cr (III) complexes. The DFT-calculated vibrational modes of Cr(III) complexes are in good agreement with the experimental values, confirming suitability of the optimized geometries for the complexes. Fluorescent ligands and chromium complexes were spectrally characterized by UV–Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy. Results revealed that Cr(III) complexes generate fluorescence in dilute solution of DMSO. Calculated electronic absorption spectra were also provided by time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) method. The new complexes exhibited potent antibacterial activity against a panel of strains of Gram negative bacterial and Gram positive species and their MIC was also determined.
