Neutron transition densities for the 2 + -8 + levels in 90Zr were extracted in the process of analyzing scattering at 400 MeV. They were compared with the calculated neutron transition densities and with the experimental proton transition densities. Radial distributions of the experimental neutron and proton transition densities for each state were found to be different.Received: 9 January 2004, Revised: 4 April 2004, Published online: 14 September 2004PACS: 25.40.Ep Inelastic proton scattering - 21.10.-k Properties of nuclei; nuclear energy levels  相似文献

We investigate the properties of a global optical potential, which describes the 12C + 12C elastic-scattering data between 70 and 130 MeV, within the nearside/farside and barrier-wave/internal-wave decomposition techniques. Particular emphasis is laid on the discussion of the incomplete absorption features of this system, and especially on the properties of the Airy minima which are observed in the experimental excitation function. The complicated angular and energy evolution of the data is explained in terms of the interference of a small set of scattering subamplitudes with a much simpler behavior.Received: 2 September 2003, Revised: 25 September 2003, Published online: 5 February 2004PACS: 24.10.-i Nuclear reaction models and methods - 24.10.Ht Optical and diffraction models - 25.70.Bc Elastic and quasielastic scattering  相似文献

With a view to study complete- and incomplete-fusion components in 159Tb , 169Tm ( 16O , x reactions, experiments have been carried out at the Inter-University Accelerator Center, New Delhi, India using the 15UD Pelletron accelerator facilities. The forward mean recoil ranges for some radio-nuclides; 168m Lu , 167Lu , 167Yb , 166Tm produced in the 16O$ + $159Tb system at ≈ 90 MeV, and 179Re , 177Re , 177W , 178Ta and 177Hf produced in the 16O$ + $169Tm system at ≈ 87 MeV have been measured. The recoil-catcher activation technique followed by off-line γ -spectrometry has been employed in the present work. The analysis of forward mean ranges for different radio-nuclides has been done in the framework of the degree of linear momentum transfer from projectile to target nucleus by adopting break-up fusion model considerations. Different complete- and incomplete-fusion components, which may be attributed to the fusion of 16O and/or 12C and 8Be transfer from the 16O projectile to the target nucleus have been observed. An attempt has also been made to separate out the relative percentage contributions of complete- and incomplete-fusion components using experimentally measured forward recoil ranges. The complete-fusion contributions deduced from recoil range distribution are found to be consistent with the prediction of the theoretical model code PACE. The analysis of data indicates the complete- and incomplete-fusion competition for both the systems at the given energies.  相似文献

Data on the proton and neutron channels of the 90Zr photodisintegration were analyzed in detail, basic parameters of the isospin splitting of the giant dipole resonance in 90Zr being determined by the properties of these channels. New data concerning the cross sections for the partial photoneutron reactions 90Zr(γ, n)89Zr and 90Zr(γ, 2n)88Zr and resulting from a simultaneous correction of data from experiments performed in Livermore (USA) and Saclay (France) by using beams of quasimonoenergetic annihilation photons were invoked. Use was made of information about the positions on the energy scale of states characterized by different isospin values in the 90Zr nucleus and nuclei neighboring it, which are members of the respective isospin multiplet. New data on the parameters of the isospin splitting of the giant dipole resonance in the 90Zr nucleus were obtained on the basis of a global analysis of data on the giant-dipole-resonance states of the 90Zr nucleus, which are manifested in the respective photoneutron and photoproton cross sections and in their decay channels involving states of different isospin in neighboring nuclei.  相似文献

The energy dependence of the one- and two-particle transfer reactions90Zr(16O,17O)89Zr,90Zr(16O,15N)91Nb and90Zr(16O,14C)92Mo was studied at bombarding energies of 80MeV, 138.2 MeV and 194.4 MeV. A comparison with one-step DWBA calculations shows good agreement for the one-particle transfers over the whole energy range. For the two-proton transfer reaction (16O,14C) the discrepancies between experiment and theory are large with an exponential decrease towards higher energies. Current theories are unable to describe this behavior.  相似文献

The structure of 17C has been investigated using the three-neutron transfer reaction (12C,9C) on a 14C target at 231MeV incident energy, the reaction Q-value is Q 0 = - 46.930MeV. Eleven new states up to 16.3MeV excitation energy were identified. The same reaction has also been used on a 12C target ( Q 0 = - 38.787MeV), and excited states in 15C up to 19MeV were observed. In 17C the three transferred neutrons populate (sd )3 configurations on the 14C core. The comparison of levels populated by the (12C,9C) reaction in 17C, 16C and 15C reveals a strong similarity of their properties. This concerns especially nine states in each of the three carbon isotopes, which show practically the same excitation energies except a constant mean shift of +5.82MeV for 16C and +6.65MeV for 15C with respect to 17C. The triples of states from the three isotopes, which correspond to each other, have also similar widths and cross-section ratios. It is concluded that the same (sd )3 structures are populated in the three carbon isotopes. The observed levels of 17C are also compared to the levels of 19O with known assignments and to shell model calculations, and their decay properties are discussed.  相似文献

The main aim of this work was to describe the reactions of elastic scattering of 16O + 12C over a wide range of energies in an optical model with an l-dependent core. We obtained a value for the compressibility coefficient that agreed with the one found from data on the giant monopole resonance. We considered the elastic transfer of an α particle to reproduce the cross section in the reverse hemisphere.  相似文献

Doubly differential electron velocity spectra induced by 36Ar18 + (95 MeV/u) from thin target foils (C, Ni, Ag, Au) were measured at GANIL (Caen, France) by means of the ARGOS multidetector and the time-of-flight technique. The main features observed in the forward spectra are convoy electrons, binary-encounter electrons, and (for the Au target only) a high-velocity tail which we attribute to a Fermi shuttle acceleration mechanism. Backward spectra do not show distinct structures. The spectra allow us to determine absolute singly differential cross-sections as a function of the target material and the emission angle. The convoy electron yield increases with the target atomic number, but for C their yield is so small that our experiment is not able to detect them. Absolute doubly differential cross-sections for binary-encounter electron ejection from C targets are well described by a transport theory which is based on the relativistic electron impact approximation (EIA) for electron production and which accounts for angular deflection, energy loss and energy straggling of the transmitted electrons.Received: 1 July 2003, Revised: 15 December 2003, Published online: 13 July 2004PACS: 34.50.Fa Electronic excitation and ionization of atoms (including beam-foil excitation and ionization) - 79.20.Rf Atomic, molecular, and ion beam impact and interactions with surfaces - 25.70.-z Low and intermediate energy heavy-ion reactions  相似文献

Correlations between folding angular distributions of fission fragments and the gamma-ray multiplicity are studied for 18O + 208Pb interactions at energies of the beam of 18O ions in the range E lab = 78–198.5 MeV. The probabilities are determined for complete-and incomplete-fusion processes inevitably followed by the fission of nuclei formed in these processes. It is found that the probability of incomplete fusion followed by fission increases with increasing energy of bombarding ions. It is shown that, for the incomplete-fusion process, folding angular distributions of fission fragments have a two-component structure. The width of folding angular distributions (FWHM) for complete fusion grows linearly with increasing energy of 18O ions. The multiplicity of gamma rays from fission fragments as a function of the linear-momentum transfer behaves differently for different energies of projectile ions. This circumstance is explained here by the distinction between the average angular momenta of participant nuclei in the fusion and fission channels, which is due to the difference in the probabilities of fission in the cases where different numbers of nucleons are captured by the target nucleus.  相似文献

The 130-MeV primary tritium beam of the AGOR facility with an intensity of up to 108 pps and the Big Bite Spectrometer experimental setup have been used to study the (t, 3He) reaction between 0° and 5° lab angles on 12C and 90Zr targets. The standard ray-tracing procedure has allowed us to obtain excitation-energy spectra up to 30 MeV in six angular bins for each residual nucleus, with an average energy resolution of 350 keV. We have used the DWBA reaction mechanism model to reproduce those spectra and their angular distributions. In this approximation, the form factor was treated as a folding of an effective projectile-nucleon interaction with a transition density. The effective projectile-nucleon interaction has been adjusted to reproduce the 0° cross section of the 1+ ground state of 12B populated in the 12C(t, 3He) reaction. We have employed RPA wave functions of excited states to construct the form factors. This DWBA+RPA analysis is used to compare calculated and experimental cross sections directly and to discuss the giant resonance excitations in the 90Y nucleus. In this talk, we give some details on this analysis. We show that there are important contributions of L = 2 transitions in the observed cross sections for the 1+ final states that explain the previous difficulties in clearly identifying the monopole strength distributions. We then have a better indication of where the L = 0 part is located with this reaction and its microscopic analysis. The text was submitted by the author in English.  相似文献

The excitation functions for both the evaporation residue and fission have been calculated for 10B + 209Bi and 11B + 209Bi reactions forming compound systems 219, 220Ra* , using the dynamical cluster-decay model (DCM) with effects of deformations and orientations of the nuclei included in it. In addition to this, the excitation functions for complete fusion (CF) are obtained by summing the fission cross-sections, neutron evaporation and charged particle evaporation residue cross-sections produced through the axn\ensuremath \alpha xn and pxn\ensuremath pxn (x = 2, 3, 4) emission channels for the 219Ra system at various incident centre-of-mass energies. Experimentally the CF cross-sections are suppressed and the observed suppression is attributed to the low binding energy of 10, 11B which breaks up into charged fragments. The reported complete fusion (CF) and incomplete fusion (ICF) excitation functions for the 219Ra system are found to be nicely fitted by the calculations performed in the framework of DCM, without invoking a significant contribution from quasi-fission. Although DCM has been applied for a number of compound nucleus decay studies in the recent past, the same is being used here in reference to ICF and subsequent decay processes along with the CF process. Interestingly the main contribution to complete fusion cross-section comes from the fission cross-section at higher incident energies, which in DCM is found to consist of an asymmetric fission window, shown to arise due to the deformation and orientation effects of formation and decay fragments.  相似文献

Kinetic-energy spectra and angular distribution of projectile-like fragments have been measured in the reaction of 84 MeV 12C on 169Tm, using the surface barrier silicon-based ΔE-E telescopes. The fragments close to the projectile show typical spectra of quasi-elastic transfer reactions, which were found to be in agreement with the calculations based on the direct surface transfer reaction model. A significant cross-section of fast alpha-particles was found at forward angles, reminiscent of incomplete fusion reactions, which could be explained in terms of the direct surface transfer reaction model after taking into account the level density of continuum states in the heavy reaction product. The results have been explained in terms of the continuous evolution of the reaction mechanism as a function of the mass transfer. Received: 13 March 2002 / Accepted: 3 May 2002  相似文献

The effects of sequential transfer of a pair of neutrons in the reactions 18O(p, t)16O, 48Ca(t, p)50Ca and 90Zr(t, p)92Zr are found to be sizeable. Channel spin-orbit distortion is an important feature of the calculations of the 18O and the 48Ca reactions.  相似文献

The objective of the present study was to describe more precisely experimental data on elastic scattering in the 16O + 16O system at E lab = 124, 145, 250, 350, and 480 MeV and in the 16O + 12C system at E lab = 132, 170, 181, 200, 230, 260, and 281 MeV. The role of exchange interaction in the region of backward angles is investigated. The coefficient of incompressibility of nuclear matter is estimated at K = 205 MeV ± 15%.  相似文献

The excitation function of elastic α-particle scattering on 14C has been measured in the laboratory energy range 16.3–19.2 MeV using a backscattering technique with a thick target. These data were analyzed together with the old low-energy data of G.L. Morgan et al. in the framework of the R-matrix formalism. Spin-parity assignments were made for 32 states in 18O in the excitation range 9–20 MeV. The estimates of the widths of the states are also presented. The 0+ and 0?α-cluster bands appeared to be well separated by 5.6 MeV (as in 16O and 20Ne). We have not found a confirmation of existence of the negative-parity molecular states proposed by M. Gai et al. We observed an effect of a doubling of α-cluster levels in 18O similar to that found in 22Ne.  相似文献

Excited states of 68Ga have been investigated through the 55Mn(16O, 2pn) reaction at projectile energy 55 MeV. The level scheme has been extended up to 7.8 MeV. Altogether six new excited levels could be identified and twelve previously unobserved γ-transitions have been placed in the modified level scheme.
