Using an external couple cavity and a pump beam compression system, efficient 1.5 μm eye-safe Raman laser is obtained based on BaWO4 crystal. The largest output energy is 8.5mJ, corresponding to an electric-optical conversion efficiency of 47%.  相似文献

Correlated photon pairs at 1.5 μm are generated in a silicon wire waveguide (SWW) with a length of only 1.6 mm. Experimental results show that the single-side count rates on both sides increase quadratically with pump light, indicating that photons are generated from the spontaneous four-wave mixing (SFWM) processes. The quantum correlation property of the generated photons is demonstrated by the ratio between coincident and accidental coincident count rates. The highest ratio measured at room temperature is to be about 19, showing that generated photon pairs have strong quantum correlation property and low noise. What is more, the wavelength correlation property of the coincident count is also measured to demonstrate the correlated photon pair generation. The experimental results demonstrate that SWWs have great potential in on-chip integrated low-noise correlated photon pair sources at 1.5 μm.  相似文献

用高温熔融法制备了Er3+单掺和Er3+ /Yb3+共掺铋酸盐玻璃,测量了上述玻璃样品的吸收光谱、荧光光谱、荧光半高宽和荧光寿命.对高浓度掺杂Er3+时的浓度猝灭现象给出了解释.分析了Er3+ /Yb3+双掺样品中Yb3+对Er3+的敏化过程.在对Er3+ /Yb3+共掺时的研究结果发现, Er3+浓度的变化对荧光半高宽和荧光寿命有显著影响,而Yb3+浓度的变化则对吸收光谱和荧光光谱的强度影响显著.实验获得了Er3+ /Yb3+共掺铋酸盐玻璃在1. 54μm处荧光半高宽达76nm,荧光寿命为0. 55ms.  相似文献

We report here a single-pass 1.56 μm fiber gas Raman laser in a deuterium-filled hollow-core fiber and a 2.86 μm cascade fiber gas Raman laser with methane in the second stage. The maximum output powers at 1.56 and 2.86 μm are 27 and 8.5 m W with Raman conversion efficiency of 30% and 42%, respectively. The results offer a new method to produce a 1.5 μm fiber source and prove the potential of the cascade fiber gas Raman laser in extending the available wavelength.  相似文献

An efficient high-energy eye-safe optical parametric oscillator (OPO) based on a type-Ⅱ non-critically phasematched KTP crystal is demonstrated. The KTP OPO is pumped by a quasi-cw diode side-pumped electrooptic Q-switched Nd:YAG laser in a compound-cavity configuration. The maximum output energy of the signal wavelength at 1.57 μm b 66.5 m J, corresponding to an electrical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 4.47% and an optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 12.1%. The pulse width (FWHM) is about 3.6 ns with a peak power of 18.5 MW. The output energy is insensitive to repetition rate and demonstrates good stability.  相似文献

In this article we present experimental data for line parameters measurements of several transition lines of overtone bands of C2H2 at 1540 nm. The measurements were done with a spectrometer based on a semiconductor diode laser and a direct absorption spectroscopy scheme. The free running and Q-switched operation of 2 μm Tm:YAG lasers side-pumped by pulse laser diodes were reported. In the free running mode the maximum output energies were 102.5 mJ at 1 Hz and 94.6 mJ at 10 Hz, respectively. With an acousto-optic modulator in the laser resonator, 21 mJ 2 μm Q-switched pulse was obtained, with a pulse width of about 330 ns. The dependences of the output energy and the efficiency on the laser resonator parameters were investigated.  相似文献

This paper describes the growth and device performance of electroabsorption modulators on GaAs substrates operating near 1.3 m, the dispersion minimum for silica fibres. The key to the successful molecular beam epitaxial (MBE) growth of these devices was the incorporation of a linearly-graded buffer layer beneath the InGaAs/AlGaAs multi-quantum-well active layer. Both transmission and reflection modulators are produced. For transmission devices, larger modulation is achieved when the buffer is graded more slowly: The maximum modulation reported was 22% for T/T O corresponding to a 0.86 dB contrast ratio with an insertion loss of roughly 5 dB at 1.34 m. Antireflection coating a transmission modulator yields a reasonable reflection modulator. However, improved performance is reported for a reflection modulator using a novel technique of integrating the bottom quarter-wave mirror into a buffer with linearly-graded In composition. At 1.33 m, a normally-off reflection modulator with an integrated mirror exhibited a R/R O of 73%, a constrast ratio of 2.38 dB, and an insertion loss of 4 dB.  相似文献

Optical ring-resonator-based modulators are fabricated on the silicon-on-insulator material through the mature commercial 0.8μm complementary metal oxide semiconductor foundry. The device configuration is based on a single ring resonator coupled to one bus waveguide. The waveguide widths are about 1 μm. The p-i-n junctions are employed to inject currents. The experimental result shows that the ring resonators with the quality factor of above 40000 are obtained. The maximum extinction ratio of the modulators is larger than 10dB. The speed is tens of nanoseconds, and the corresponding injected current is smaller than 10 mA.  相似文献

A 1.8 ??m optical parametric oscillator pumped by a diode end-pumped acousto-optically Q-switched Nd:YAG is demonstrated. A 30-mm-long KTiOPO4 crystal cut with an angle of ?? = 59.4°, ?? = 0° is employed as the OPO crystal. 685 mW signal laser at 1.8 ??m is obtained at the diode pump power of 13 W and the pulse repetition rate of 25 kHz. Simultaneously, 265 mW idler emission at 2.6 ??m is obtained. The corresponded diode-to-OPO conversion efficiency is 7.3%. The pulse width of the signal and idler wave are measured to be 4.5 and 2.5 ns, respectively. This gives a peak power of 6.1 and 4.2 kW, respectively.  相似文献

We report on experiments performed with a cladding-pumped single-mode Er:Yb-codoped single-frequency fiber amplifier simultaneously seeded by a distributed-feedback diode at 1556 nm and a tunable external-cavity diode laser emitting at a wavelength of about 1 μm wavelength. The influence of the output wavelength of the external-cavity laser on amplification and reabsorption behavior of the Yb emission as well as the amplifier performance at a wavelength of 1556 nm is examined experimentally.  相似文献

Results of the numerical modeling of lidar sounding of meteorological parameters of the atmosphere by the differential absorption method in the spectral region of 2 m are reported. A choice of the steam absorption lines suitable for sounding temperature and moisture content profiles in the lower troposphere is made. Systematic errors in reconstruction of temperature profiles are analyzed. It is shown that the errors in reconstruction of temperature and moisture content profiles have acceptable values within the entire range of heights 0–2 km.  相似文献

We report a wavelength swept fiber laser at the 1 μm region based on an actively mode-locked dispersion-tuning technique. The ring-cavity laser uses a 70 cm ytterbium-doped fiber as a gain medium. Mode locking is achieved by the direct modulation of the amplitude modulator, and a ~1000 m single-mode fiber is used to provide the desired intracavity dispersion. By sine-modulating the modulation frequency, a wavelength swept laser with a range of ~30 nm can be achieved at a sweeping rate of 50 Hz. The characteristics of the laser, such as its singlewavelength tuning range, tuning sensitivity, static linewidth and sweeping rate, are also studied experimentally.  相似文献

We describe a tunable broadband mid-IR laser source based on difference-frequency mixing of a 100?MHz femtosecond Yb:fiber laser oscillator and a Raman-shifted soliton generated with the same laser. The resulting light is tunable over 3.0?μm to 4.4?μm, with a FWHM bandwidth of 170?nm and maximum average output power up to 125?mW. Compared with the extensively studied MoS2 and WS2, WTe_2 owns a smaller bandgap, which is applicable to a near-infrared system in photodetectors, communications, and ultrafast optics. In this work, the WTe_2 saturable absorber(SA) with the tapered fiber structure is prepared by the magnetron-sputtering technology, which enables the prepared SA to be low in cost and have strong nonlinearity. The modulation depth of the prepared WTe_2 SA is measured as 31.06%. The Q-switched fiber laser operating at 1.5 μm is successfully investigated by incorporating the proposed SA into the prepared ring cavity. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first attempt of WTe_2 in the Q-switched fiber laser at 1.5 μm.  相似文献

Double-layer graphene epitaxially grown on silicon carbide was used to Q-switch a Tm:YAG laser. Stable Q-switched laser pulses at the central wavelength of 2.01 μm were obtained. The maximum average output power, pulse repetition rate, and single pulse energy were 38 mW, 27.9 kHz, and 1.74 μJ, respectively. Our results illustrate that graphene can be used as a saturable absorber at the 2 μm region.  相似文献

Top-illuminated metamorphic InGaAs p-i-n photodetectors (PDs) with 50% cut-off wavelength of 1.75 μm at room temperature are fabricated on GaAs substrates. The PDs are grown by a solid-source molecular beam epitaxy system. The large lattice mismatch strain is accommodated by growth of a linearly graded buffer layer to create a high quality virtual InP substrate indium content in the metamorphic buffer layer linearly changes from 2% to 60%. The dark current densities are typically 5 × 10^-6 A/cm^2 at 0 V bias and 2.24 × 10^-4 A/cm^2 at a reverse bias of 5 V. At a wavelength of 1.55 μm, the PDs have an optical responsivity of 0.48 A/W, a linear photoresponse up to 5 mW optical power at -4 V bias. The measured -3 dB bandwidth of a 32 μm diameter device is 7 GHz. This work proves that InGaAs buffer layers grown by solid source MBE are promising candidates for GaAs-based long wavelength devices.  相似文献

利用脉冲激光沉积的方法制备掺铒 Si/Al2O3多层结构薄膜,获得了由纳米结构的Si作为感光剂增强的Er3+在1.54 μm高效发光.利用拉曼散射、高分辨透射电镜和光致发光测量研究了在不同退火温度下(600-1000 ℃)纳米结构Si层的结晶形态变化,及对Er3+在1.54 μm的发光的影响特征.研究发现最佳发光是在退火温度600-700 ℃.在这个条件下纳米Si的尺寸和密度,Si和Er的作用距离以及Er3+发光的化学环境得到了优化.进一步,光致发光瞬态衰减谱研究表明,当纳米Si尺寸小时,衰减遵循单指数模式(慢过程),当纳米Si尺寸大时,衰减遵循双指数模式(快过程和慢过程),其中衰减中快过程来自类体Si的对激发态Er3+去激发过程,慢过程对应典型的纳米Si体系衰减过程.  相似文献

A cycle of experimental investigations was carried out on radiation-gasdynamic processes that evolve when high-power (1.5 GW) pulses from an electron-beamcontrolled CO2 laser act on a target in air or in inert gases at pressures 0.1–760 torr and flux densities 5·106 to 5·108 W/cm2. It is shown that at pressures above several torr a laser-radiation absorption wave is produced in the gas surrounding the target and determines the evolution of the interaction. The laser-stimulated-detonation, subsonic, and supersonic radiative regimes of absorption-wave propagation in gases are investigated under conditions of planar one-dimensional geometry of the experiment and at large (up to 20 cm2) area of the irradiated spot.Translated from Trudy Ordena Lenina Fizicheskogo Instituta im.
