Cheng-type inequality, Cheeger-type inequality and Faber-Krahn-type inequality are generalized to Finsler manifolds. For a compact Finsler manifold with the weighted Ricci curvature bounded from below by a negative constant, Li-Yau’s estimation of the first eigenvalue is also given.  相似文献

This paper proves that the first eigenfunctions of the Finsler p-Lapalcian are C~(1,α). Using a gradient comparison theorem and one-dimensional model, we obtain the sharp lower bound of the first Neumann and closed eigenvalue of the p-Laplacian on a compact Finsler manifold with nonnegative weighted Ricci curvature,on which a lower bound of the first Dirichlet eigenvalue of the p-Laplacian is also obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove the almost Schur theorem, introduced by De Lellis and Topping, for the Riemannian manifold M of nonnegative Ricci curvature with totally geodesic boundary. Examples are given to show that it is optimal when the dimension of M is at least 5. We also prove that the almost Schur theorem is true when M is a 4-dimensional manifold of nonnegative scalar curvature with totally geodesic boundary. Finally we obtain a generalization of the almost Schur theorem in all dimensions only by assuming the Ricci curvature is bounded below.  相似文献

Finsler空间上的Weyl曲率   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The Weyl curvature of a Finsler metric is investigated. This curvature constructed from Riemannain curvature. It is an important projective invariant of Finsler metrics. The author gives the necessary conditions on Weyl curvature for a Finsler metric to be Randers metric and presents examples of Randers metrics with non-scalar curvature. A global rigidity theorem for compact Finsler manifolds satisfying such conditions is proved. It is showed that for such a Finsler manifold,if Ricci scalar is negative, then Finsler metric is of Randers type.  相似文献

We study the geometry of complete Riemannian manifolds endowed with a weighted measure, where the weight function is of quadratic growth. Assuming the associated Bakry–Émery curvature is bounded from below, we derive a new Laplacian comparison theorem and establish various sharp volume upper and lower bounds. We also obtain some splitting type results by analyzing the Busemann functions. In particular, we show that a complete manifold with nonnegative Bakry–Émery curvature must split off a line if it is not connected at infinity and its weighted volume entropy is of maximal value among linear growth weight functions.  相似文献

We show that a complete Riemannian manifold has finite topological type (i.e., homeomorphic to the interior of a compact manifold with boundary), provided its Bakry–Émery Ricci tensor has a positive lower bound, and either of the following conditions:(i) the Ricci curvature is bounded from above;(ii) the Ricci curvature is bounded from below and injectivity radius is bounded away from zero. Moreover, a complete shrinking Ricci soliton has finite topological type if its scalar curvature is bounded. In this paper, we give some Liouville-type theorems for LpLp(p∈R)(pR) harmonic (resp. subharmonic, superharmonic) functions on forward complete Finsler manifolds. Moreover, we derive a gradient estimate for harmonic functions on a closed Finsler manifold. As an application, one obtains that any harmonic function on a closed Finsler manifold with nonnegative weighted Ricci curvature RicNRicN(N∈(n,∞))(N(n,)) must be constant.  相似文献

We show that assuming lower bounds on the Ricci curvature and the injectivity radius the absolute value of certain characteristic numbers of a Riemannian manifold, including all Pontryagin and Chern numbers, is bounded proportionally to the volume. The proof relies on Chern–Weil theory applied to a connection constructed from Euclidean connections on charts in which the metric tensor is harmonic and has bounded Hölder norm. We generalize this theorem to a Gromov–Hausdorff closed class of rough Riemannian manifolds defined in terms of Hölder regularity. Assuming an additional upper Ricci curvature bound, we show that also the Euler characteristic is bounded proportionally to the volume. Additionally, we remark on a volume comparison theorem for Betti numbers of manifolds with an additional upper bound on sectional curvature. It is a consequence of a result by Bowen.

The notion of exponentially harmonic maps was introduced by Eells and Lemaire (Proceedings of the Banach Center Semester on PDE, pp. 1990–1991, 1990). In this note, by using the maximum principle we get the gradient estimate of exponentially harmonic functions, and then derive a Liouville type theorem for bounded exponentially harmonic functions on a complete Riemannian manifold with nonnegative Ricci curvature and sectional curvature bounded below.  相似文献

We prove a Liouville-type theorem for biharmonic maps from a complete Riemannian manifold of dimension \(n\) that has a lower bound on its Ricci curvature and positive injectivity radius into a Riemannian manifold whose sectional curvature is bounded from above. Under these geometric assumptions we show that if the \(L^p\)-norm of the tension field is bounded and the n-energy of the map is sufficiently small, then every biharmonic map must be harmonic, where \(2<p<n\).  相似文献

We establish existence and uniqueness theorems for V-harmonic maps from complete noncompact manifolds. This class of maps includes Hermitian harmonic maps, Weyl harmonic maps, affine harmonic maps, and Finsler harmonic maps from a Finsler manifold into a Riemannian manifold. We also obtain a Liouville type theorem for V-harmonic maps. In addition, we prove a V-Laplacian comparison theorem under the Bakry-Emery Ricci condition.  相似文献

We derive the integral inequality of a Randers metric with isotropic S-curvature in terms of its navigation representation. Using the obtained inequality we give some rigidity results under the condition of Ricci curvature. In particular, we show the following result: Assume that an n-dimensional compact Randers manifold (M, F) has constant S-curvature c. Then (M, F) must be Riemannian if its Ricci curvature satisfies that Ric 〈 -(n - 1)c^2.  相似文献

The flag curvature is a natural extension of the sectional curvature in Riemannian geometry, and the S-curvature is a non-Riemannian quantity which vanishes for Riemannian metrics. There are (incomplete) non-Riemannian Finsler metrics on an open subset in Rn with negative flag curvature and constant S-curvature. In this paper, we are going to show a global rigidity theorem that every Finsler metric with negative flag curvature and constant S-curvature must be Riemannian if the manifold is compact. We also study the nonpositive flag curvature case.supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (10371138).  相似文献

In this paper, we study complete noncompact Riemannian manifolds with Ricci curvature bounded from below. When the Ricci curvature is nonnegative, we show that this kind of manifolds are diffeomorphic to a Euclidean space, by assuming an upper bound on the radial curvature and a volume growth condition of their geodesic balls. When the Ricci curvature only has a lower bound, we also prove that such a manifold is diffeomorphic to a Euclidean space if the radial curvature is bounded from below. Moreover, by assuming different conditions and applying different methods, we shall prove more results on Riemannian manifolds with large volume growth.  相似文献

Every Finsler metric induces a spray on a manifold. With a volume form on a manifold, every spray can be deformed to a projective spray. The Ricci curvature of a projective spray is called the projective Ricci curvature. The projective Ricci curvature is an important projective invariant in Finsler geometry. In this paper, we study and characterize projectively Ricci-flat square metrics. Moreover, we construct some nontrivial examples on such Finsler metrics.  相似文献

We prove that the integral of the Ricci curvature on the unit tangent bundle SM of a complete Finsler manifold M without conjugate points is nonpositive and vanishes only if M is flat, provided that the Ricci curvature on SM has an integrable positive or negative part.  相似文献

We investigate the differentiable pinching problem for compact immersed submanifolds of positive k-th Ricci curvature, and prove that if M n is simply connected and the k-th Ricci curvature of M n is bounded below by a quantity involving the mean curvature of M n and the curvature of the ambient manifold, then M n is diffeomorphic to the standard sphere ${\mathbb{S}^n}$ . For the case where the ambient manifold is a space form with nonnegative constant curvature, we prove a differentiable sphere theorem without the assumption that the submanifold M n is simply connected. Motivated by a geometric rigidity theorem due to S. T. Yau and U. Simon, we prove a topological rigidity theorem for submanifolds in a space form.  相似文献

We prove that for a compact Finsler manifold M with nonnegative weighted Ricci curvature,if its first closed(resp.Neumann)eigenvalue of Finsler-Laplacian attains the sharp lower bound, then M is isometric to a circle(resp.a segment). Moreover,a lower bound of the first eigenvalue of Finsler-Laplacian with Dirichlet boundary condition is also estimated. These generalize the corresponding results in recent literature.  相似文献

In this note, we obtain a sharp volume estimate for complete gradient Ricci solitons with scalar curvature bounded below by a positive constant. Using Chen-Yokota’s argument we obtain a local lower bound estimate of the scalar curvature for the Ricci flow on complete manifolds. Consequently, one has a sharp estimate of the scalar curvature for expanding Ricci solitons; we also provide a direct (elliptic) proof of this sharp estimate. Moreover, if the scalar curvature attains its minimum value at some point, then the manifold is Einstein.  相似文献

In this work,we study the convergence of evolving Finslerian metrics first in a general flow and next under Finslerian Ricci flow.More intuitively it is proved that a family of Finslerian metrics g(t)which are solutions to the Finslerian Ricci flow converges in C~∞ to a smooth limit Finslerian metric as t approaches the finite time T.As a consequence of this result one can show that in a compact Finsler manifold the curvature tensor along the Ricci flow blows up in a short time.  相似文献
