The transmissivity of a variable aperture fracture for flow of a non-Newtonian, purely viscous power-law fluid with behavior index n is studied. The natural logarithm of the fracture aperture is considered to be a two-dimensional, spatially homogeneous and correlated Gaussian random field. We derive an equivalent fracture aperture for three flow geometries: (1) flow perpendicular to aperture variation; (2) flow parallel to aperture variation; (3) flow in an isotropic aperture field. Under ergodicity, results are obtained for cases 1 and 2 by discretizing the fracture into elements of equal aperture and assuming that the resistances due to each aperture element are, respectively, in parallel and in series; for case 3, the equivalent aperture is derived as the geometric mean of cases 1 and 2. When n=1 all our expressions for the equivalent aperture reduce to those derived in the past for Newtonian flow and lognormal aperture distribution. As log-aperture variance increases, the equivalent aperture is found to increase for case 1, to decrease for case 2, and to be a function of flow behavior index n for case 3.  相似文献

在近年来关于流体切应力与细胞力学行为之间关系的研究中,流体切应力梯度被认为是诱发动脉粥样硬化和内膜增生的重要因素之一.本文探讨如何利用常用的离体细胞力学实验工具--平行平板流动腔模拟具有梯度的定常流切应力环境.结果表明,根据Hele-Shaw流的原理和常用复势W(Z)=AZn(n>1)的特性,可构造出具有各种切应力梯度分布的流动腔.与其它模拟切应力梯度的方法比较,本文的方法更加简洁、可行.  相似文献

本文通过数值方法求解均匀动脉中的非平稳脉动流,给出了通过测量非平稳脉动血流量确定壁面切应力的方法.作为算例,采用实测的大鼠颈总动脉流量信号,求出了均匀动脉壁面切应力波形.进一步对求得的切应力波形进行经验模态分解(EMD),得到了切应力波形的各内在模态(IMF),以及Hilbert幅值谱.从切应力波形经Hilbert-Huang变换得到的IMF和Hilbert谱图可以明显地看出切应力各频率成分的物理意义.所得结果为进一步深入研究非平稳脉动切应力与血管重建的关系提供了一种方法学基础.  相似文献

The influence of the shear number on the turbulence evolution in a stably stratified fluid is investigated using direct numerical simulations on grids with up to 512 × 256 × 256 points. The shear number SK/ε is the ratio of a turbulence time scale K/ε to the shear time scale 1/S. Simulations are performed at two initial values of the Reynolds number Re Λ= 44.72 and Re Λ= 89.44. When the shear number is increased from small to moderate values, the nondimensional growth rate γ= (1/SK)dK/dt of the turbulent kinetic energy K increases since the shear forcing and its associated turbulence production is larger. However, a further increase of the shear number from moderate to large values results in a reduction of the growth rate γ and the turbulent kinetic energy K shows long-time decay for sufficiently large values of the shear number. The inhibition of turbulence growth at large shear numbers occurs for both initial values of the Reynolds number and can be explained with the predominance of linear effects over nonlinear effects when the shear number is sufficiently high. It is found that, at the higher initial value of the Reynolds number, the reduction of the growth rate occurs at a higher value of the shear number. An anisotropy-resolving subgrid-scale (SGS) model for large eddy simulation was investigated. Primary attention was given to the predictive performance of the SGS model in the case of complex turbulence with flow impingement and/or flow separation. The SGS model was constructed by combining an isotropic linear eddy-viscosity model with an extra anisotropic term. Since the extra anisotropic term was modeled to prevent undesirable energy transfer between the grid-scale and SGS parts, the model is expected not to seriously affect computational stability. To validate the model performance for complex turbulent flow fields, the SGS model was applied to numerical simulations of a plane impinging jet and 3-D diffuser flow as well as fundamental plane channel flows. The SGS model provided reasonable predictions for these test cases. Furthermore, the predicted SGS stress components were decomposed into linear and anisotropic parts and their roles were investigated in detail. The usefulness of the present anisotropy-resolving SGS model in practical engineering applications was thus described.  相似文献

本文求解局部缓慢扩张动脉管中血液振荡流的基本方程,得到血管内血液的流速与压力梯度的关系。通过导出压力梯度沿局部扩张管轴向的变化特性。建立利用扩张段上游血管均匀段中心流速波形确定局部扩张管中血液流的速度和切应力分布的方法,文章以人体颈动脉余弦扩张为例进行分析。详细讨论了局部扩张对血管壁切应力及其梯度分布的影响。数值结果表明,在与刚性均匀管中管壁切应力沿轴向保持不变不同,在局部扩张段,管壁切应力将随着血管半径的增大而减小,因而管壁切应力梯度一般不为零,甚至在某些位置达到相当大的数值。另外,随着血管扩张程度的增加,管壁切应力还将进一步减小,而且管壁切应力梯度也将进一步增大,血管扩张导致管壁切应力的这些变化将直接影响血管壁的结构和功能,使其产生适应性的变化。  相似文献

本文建立一种分析局部缓慢狭窄血管中血液振荡流的数学模型,给出了血液的轴向流速,径向流速和切应力的包含压力梯度项的解析表达式,并讨论了血管内由局部狭窄引起的压力梯度沿轴向变化的规律。文章以局部余弦狭窄为例进行数值计算,详细讨论上游均匀管段压力梯度的定常部分和不同次谐波对狭窄管段内流速和切应力的影响。数值结果表明,与均匀管情况相比,在狭窄段内,血液振荡流轴向流速无论平均值还是脉动幅值均明显增大,且径向流速不再为零。但径向流速仍远小于轴向流速。同时,切应力也不再仅由轴向流速梯度提供,径向流速梯度也将产生切应力,但是在计算管壁切向上的切应力时,径向流速梯度的贡献仍相当大。与均匀管管壁切应力沿流运方向保持恒定不同。狭窄管管壁切应力(平均值和脉动值)将随着狭窄高度的增大而增大,在狭窄最大高度处达到最大,因而沿流动方向产生了较大的切应力梯度。  相似文献

We report on the effect of stress-state triaxiality on damage accumulation leading to fracture at ambient temperature in magnesium alloy AZ31. We find that the strain to failure is weakly sensitive to triaxiality for the conditions investigated, at variance with the behavior of most alloy systems. Using plastic anisotropy measurements, post-mortem fractography and transverse cross-sectioning of specimens at incipient cracking, we discuss the contributions of plastic anisotropy, shear failure and coalescence-controlled cracking to limiting the net effect of stress triaxiality.  相似文献

Direct numerical simulations of homogeneous turbulence in stably stratified shear flow have been performed to aid the understanding of turbulence and turbulent mixing in geophysical flow. Two cases are compared. In the first case, which has been studied in the past, the mean velocity has vertical shear and the mean density is vertically stably stratified. In the second case, which has not been studied systematically before, the mean velocity has horizontal shear and the mean density is again vertically stably stratified. The critical value of the gradient Richardson number, for which a constant turbulence level is obtained, is found to be an order of magnitude larger in the horizontal shear case. The turbulent transport coefficients of momentum and vertical mass transfer are also an order of magnitude larger in the horizontal shear case. The anisotropy of the turbulence intensities are found to be in the range expected of flows with mean shear with no major qualitative change in the range of Richardson numbers studied here. However, the anisotropy of the turbulent dissipation rate is strongly affected by stratification with the vertical component dominating the others. Two different shear sample geometries were employed to investigate the failure behaviour of two automotive alloy rolled sheets; a highly anisotropic magnesium alloy (ZEK100) and a relatively isotropic dual phase steel (DP780) at room temperature. The performance of the butterfly type specimen (Mohr and Henn Exp Mech 47:805–820, 16; Dunand and Mohr Eng Fract Mech 78:2919-2934, 17) was evaluated at quasi-static conditions along with that of the shear geometry of Peirs et al Exp Mech 52:729-741, (27) using in situ digital image correlation (DIC) strain measurement techniques. It was shown that both test geometries resulted in similar strain-paths; however, the fracture strains obtained using the butterfly specimen were lower for both alloys. It is demonstrated that ZEK100 exhibits strong anisotropy in terms of failure strain. In addition, the strain rate sensitivity of fracture for ZEK100 was studied in shear tests with strain rates from quasi-static (0.01 s?1) to elevated strain rates of 10 and 100 s?1, for which a reduction in fracture strain was observed with increasing strain rate.  相似文献

This note presents results of a laboratory test program that examines the influence of pore volumes on soil water coefficient of permeability in different saturation conditions. Comparing the results, it is observed that the dependency of water coefficient of permeability to void spaces in unsaturated soils follow a different trend than associated in saturated state. The shift of the soil?Cwater characteristic curve within the change of pore spaces is utilized to qualify the opposite detected response of unsaturated water permeability to the change of pore spaces.  相似文献

本文通过求解圆管内血液振荡流的基本方程,求得圆管内血液流的压力梯度与切应力之间的关系式。在此基础上,详细讲座了圆管中轴向流速和切变率谐波的变化规律,指出流速谐波和切变率谐波的幅值都将随着谐波次数的增大而逐渐减小。为了使所得结果便于应用。文章通过管轴向中心线流速与压力梯度之间的关系式,进一步给出一种利用管轴向中心线流速计算管内切应力分布的简便方法。该方法用于检测活体血管内血液振荡流的切应力分布,具有操作简单,精度较高的优点。最后,以人体颈动脉为例,讨论血液周期振荡流的切应力的分布特性。发现在任意时刻,除了邻近管壁处切应力急剧增大到一定数值之外,沿管截面切应力分布相当均匀且接近于零,呈现出与定常流不同的切应力分布特征。  相似文献

Production simulation from fractured shale reservoirs is often performed by simplifying the hydraulic fractures as rectangular planes with homogeneous aperture. This study investigates the effects of heterogeneous fracture aperture and proppant distribution in realistic, non-rectangular fractures on the multi-phase production from shales. The heterogeneous hydraulic fractures are generated with the GEOS multiphysics simulator under realistic 3D stress field. These fractures are embedded into the TOUGH+ multi-phase flow simulator for production simulation. The results emphasize the importance of flow barriers within the hydraulic fractures, due both to low-aperture regions caused by the stress-shadow effect and the settling of proppant. The production rate is particularly sensitive to aperture heterogeneity if the flow barriers are close to the wellbore such that a great portion of fracture volume is isolated from the well. A stage-to-stage comparison reveals that production from different stages could vary significantly because the local stress field leads to different fracture area and aperture. The use of proppant prevents fracture closure, but if the propped regions are far from the well, they do not enhance production because flow barriers between these regions and the well act as bottlenecks. The present study highlights the importance of incorporating aperture heterogeneity into production simulation, provides insights on the relationship between flow barriers, proppant concentration, and well production, and proposes a practical method to mitigate numerical difficulties when modeling heterogeneous fractures.

针对含有初始应力的压电压磁板中的水平剪切振动问题,从基本的线弹性理论出发,经过适当的变量代换,推导出了精确的解析解,得到了电磁学开路、电学开路磁学短路、电学短路磁学开路、电磁学短路四种情况下的频率控制方程;进一步应用二分法对方程进行求解,并数值模拟了初始应力以及不同的电磁学边界条件对振动频率、位移模态的影响.研究结果表明:初始应力和电磁学边界条件对压电压磁板的水平剪切振动频率都具有显著的影响,且当初始应力变化范围较小时(初始应力与有效刚度系数之比在5%以内),振动频率与初始应力之间呈线性关系;电磁学边界条件能显著改变压电压磁板内振动位移的分布,但初始应力对其影响不大.  相似文献

An integrated experimental and numerical analysis is carried out to study the interfacial shear strength of bonded materials. Two types of shear tests, namely the Iosipescu shear test, and the short-beam shear test are employed to understand the effect of interfacial stress on the interfacial shear strength measurements. The measured average shear strengths are very close, even though the interfacial shear stress distributions of these two kinds of specimens are very different. Therefore, we conclude that the interfacial stress distribution has the least effect on the interfacial strength measurement if the interfacial shear stress is non-singular.  相似文献

The paper studies simple waves of the shallowwater equations describing threedimensional wave motions of a rotational liquid in a freeboundary layer. Simple wave equations are derived for the general case. The existence of unsteady or steady simple waves adjacent continuously to a given steady shear flow along a characteristic surface is proved. Exact solutions of the equations describing steady simple waves were found. These solutions can be treated as extension of Prandtl–Mayer waves for sheared flows. 三向应力Mohr圆的构成在传统上是借助公式推证而得,并以平面图形来表示,缺乏三维的真实感和直观性。在应力应变分析中,对于平面应力问题,可以通过平面应力摩尔圆确定过一点不同斜面上的应力分量及其作用方向。对于三维问题,利用摩尔圆图解法可以确定某一斜面上的正应力和剪应力的数值,但不能表示剪应力的作用方向。剪应力的作用方向需要通过另外的图解方法来确定。本文分别从坐标系旋转和数值计算的角度解释了三向应力Mohr圆的构成过程,形象地说明了Mohr圆的物理本质。针对三向应力Mohr圆不能表示剪应力作用方向的问题,通过矢量运算,给出了剪应力作用方向的确定公式。  相似文献
