It is desired that the same imaging functional modules such as beamformation, envelope detection, and digital scan conversion (DSC) are employed for the efficient development of a cross-sectional photoacoustic (PA) and ultrasound (US) dual-modality imaging system. The beamformation can be implemented using either delay-and-sum beamforming (DAS-BF) or adaptive beamforming methods, each with their own advantages and disadvantages for the dual-modality imaging. However, the DSC is always problematic because it causes blurring the fine details of an image, e.g., edges. This paper demonstrates that the pixel based focusing method is suitable for the dual-modality imaging; beamformation is directly conducted on each display pixel and thus DSC is not necessary. As a result, the artifacts by DSC are no longer a problem, so that the proposed method is capable of providing the maximum spatial resolution achievable by DAS-BF. The performance of the proposed method was evaluated through simulation and ex vivo experiments with a microcalcification-contained breast specimen, and the results were compared with those from DAS-BF and adaptive beamforming methods with DSC. The comparison demonstrated that the proposed method effectively overcomes the disadvantages of each beamforming method.  相似文献

In order to utilize the space of an input plane efficiently and make the optical structure more flexible, an image displacement measurement based on phase-encoded reference joint fractional transform correlator (PER-JFrTC) is proposed. We use a random phase mask to encode the reference image and overlay it with the target image forming the input image. Joint power spectrum (JPS) of the input image is obtained by Fourier transform and the resultant is encoded by the same phase mask. Then a fractional Fourier transform with an order p is applied to the phase-encoded JPS (PJPS), resulting in a correlation output with a sharp cross-correlation peak, which includes the displacement information between the reference and the target image. Contrast to displacement measurement based on traditional joint transform correlator (JTC), PER-JFrTC can use the space of the input plane efficiently and reduces the influence of the auto-correlation. Also the position of cross-correlation peak can be fixed arbitrarily according to the fractional order p as well as the optical set-up can be more flexible and easier to implement. Results based on digital computation show that PER-JFrTC could detect the displacement accurately and verify our proposal. A possible optical set-up is suggested.  相似文献

In a color-to-gray conversion, which only considers lightness components, difference of colors are not appropriately reflected in monochrome images. Gooch et al. have proposed a color removal method that considers the differences of colors. Although the method can obtain good results in many cases, there is room for improvement. In this paper, a new color removal method that introduces a weight to Gooch’s algorithm is proposed. In the proposed method, for combinations of colors of each pixel in an input image, weights are determined by distance in color space. In the proposed method, unimportant color combinations are not considered by weight and color information in an input image is appropriately reflected in a monochrome image. The validity of the proposed method is shown by experiments using some images.  相似文献

In order to convert a color image into a monochrome one, the lightness components of pixels have to date been used as gray-levels for the representation of the monochrome image. However, saliencies of an image embedded only in the chrominance components are eliminated in such conversion. To cope with this problem, “Color2Gray” algorithm, which excels in the color removal of digital images, has been proposed by Gooch et al. [ACM Trans. Graphics 24 (2005) 634]. In this paper, the algorithm is first analyzed and its mathematical property is revealed. Then a fast Color2Gray algorithm is proposed by using the mathematical property. Finally, the validity and the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm are proven by some experiments.  相似文献

In this paper we propose an encryption/decryption technique of gray-level image information using an on-axis 2-f digital holographic optical encrypting system with two-step phase-shifting method. This technique reduces the number of holograms in phase-shifting digital holography and minimizes the setup of the encryption system more than multistep phase-shifting technique. We are able to get the complete decrypted image by controlling the K-ratio which is defined as the reference beam intensity versus the object beam intensity. We remove the DC-term of the phase-shifting digital hologram to reconstruct and decrypt the original image information. Simulation results show that the proposed method can be used for encryption and decryption of a 256 gray-level image. Also, the result shows some errors of the decrypted image according to K-ratio.  相似文献

With increasing demands of three-dimensional (3D) contents, the conversion of many two-dimensional (2D) contents to 3D contents has become a focus in 3D image processing. The most important and difficult problem in 2D-to-3D conversion is the estimation of the depth map using only a single-view image. Therefore, a novel method for estimating a depth map for stereoscopic conversion is proposed in this paper. A simulated haze image generated by adding a haze veil on the input image is used to represent salient region segmentation. The 3D stereoscopic image is generated on the basis of the depth map estimated by the haze removal algorithm without any heuristic cues or user interaction. A comparative study and quantitative evaluation with some other state of the art conversion methods are carried out, which demonstrate that using the proposed approach, similar or better-quality results may be obtained.  相似文献

In this work an optical-digital correlator for pattern recognition and input scene restoration is described. Main features of the described correlator are portability and ability of multi-element input scenes processing. The correlator consists of a consumer grade digital photo camera with a diffractive optical element (DOE) inserted as a correlation filter. Correlation of an input scene with a reference image recorded on the DOE are provided optically and registered by the digital photo camera for further processing. Using obtained correlation signals and DOE’s point spread function (PSF), one can restore the image of the input scene from the image of correlation signals by digital deconvolution algorithms.The construction of the correlator based on the consumer grade digital photo camera is presented. The software procedure that is necessary for images linearization of correlation signals is described. Experimental results on optical correlation are compared with numerical simulation. The results of images restoration from conventionally and specially processed correlation signals are reported. Quantitative estimations of accuracy of correlation signals as well as restored images of the input scene are presented.  相似文献

Color transfer originally proposed by Reinhard et al. is a method to change the color appearance of an input image by using the color information of a reference image. The purpose of this study is to modify color transfer so that it works well even when the scenes of the input and reference images are not similar. Concretely, a color transfer method with lightness correction and color gamut adjustment is proposed. The lightness correction is applied to preserve the perceived lightness which is explained by the Helmholtz–Kohlrausch (H–K) effect. This effect is the phenomenon that vivid colors are perceived as brighter than dull colors with the same lightness. Hence, when the chroma is changed by image processing, the perceived lightness is also changed even if the physical lightness is preserved after the image processing. In the proposed method, by considering the H–K effect, color transfer that preserves the perceived lightness after processing is realized. Furthermore, color gamut adjustment is introduced to address the color gamut problem, which is caused by color space conversion. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by performing some experiments.  相似文献

为了提高人脸检测的准确性及检测速度,需要对基于数字图像处理技术的人脸检测算法进行研究。使用当前方法进行人脸检测时,需要提取脸部特征数目较多、检测速度过慢,降低人脸检测效率。为此,提出一种基于数字图像处理技术的人脸检测算法。该方法首先获取人脸数字图像,通过拉开数字图像的灰度间距,使数字图像灰度均匀分布,进而提高数字图像对比度,使图像更加清晰,再通过Wiener维纳滤算法对处理后的数字图像进行图像平滑去噪,在此基础上使用Robert边缘检测算子方法对数字图像人脸边缘每个像素点检测,得到数字图像中人脸边缘的基本图像,将其输入到计算机数字图像处理系统中进行识别检测。实验仿真证明,所提算法在检测速度及准确性等方面具有明显的优势。  相似文献

We present an experimental setup useful for complex amplitude evaluation and phase image quantification of three-dimensional (3-D) samples in digital holographic microscopy (DHM). It is based on a common-path interferometric configuration performed by dividing the input plane in two contiguous regions and by placing a translation grating near to the Fourier plane. Then, complex amplitude distribution of the sample under test is recovered with phase-shifting standard method obtained by moving the grating using a linear motion stage. Some experimental results of an USAF resolution test are presented for different numerical aperture (NA) microscope lenses. In a second part, the proposed setup is tested under superresolution purposes. Based on the object’s spectrum shift produced by off-axis illumination, we use time multiplexing to generate a synthetic aperture enlargement that improves the final image resolution. Experimental results for the case of a biosample (human red blood cells) and a commercial low NA microscope lens validates the suggested superresolution approach.  相似文献

Manipulation in image has been in practice since centuries. These manipulated images are intended to alter facts — facts of ethics, morality, politics, sex, celebrity or chaos. Image forensic science is used to detect these manipulations in a digital image. There are several standard ways to analyze an image for manipulation. Each one has some limitation. Also very rarely any method tried to capitalize on the way image was taken by the camera. We propose a new method that is based on light and its shade as light and shade are the fundamental input resources that may carry all the information of the image. The proposed method measures the direction of light source and uses the light based technique for identification of any intentional partial manipulation in the said digital image. The method is tested for known manipulated images to correctly identify the light sources. The light source of an image is measured in terms of angle. The experimental results show the robustness of the methodology.  相似文献

Shape measurement is a significant application of digital image correlation (DIC). An improved method that combines a rotatable plane mirror is proposed to measure the shape of an immovable object. In this method, two images, one before and the other after rotating the plane mirror, are obtained and then in-plane translation which related to the shape of the detected object can be calculated by the use of two-dimensional digital image correlation (2D DIC). The relationship between the in-plane translation and the shape of the object is described. Experimental results show that the proposed method is feasible for shape and distance measurement with high accuracy.  相似文献

We propose a method for the encryption of twin color images using fractional Fourier transform (FRT). The color images to be encrypted are converted into the indexed image formats before being processed through twin image encryption algorithm based on the FRT. The proposed algorithm uses one random code in the image domain and one random phase code in the FRT domain to perform double image encryption. The conversion of both the input RGB images into their indexed formats facilitates single-channel processing for each image, and is more compact and robust as compared to multichannel techniques. Different fractional orders, the random masks in image- and FRT domain are the keys to enhance the security of the proposed system. The algorithms to implement the proposed encryption and decryption schemes are discussed, and results of digital simulation are presented. We examine sensitivity of the proposed scheme against the use of unauthorized keys (e.g. incorrect fractional orders, incorrect random phase mask etc.). Robustness of the method against occlusion and noise has also been discussed.  相似文献

In accordance with the problems in test for scale factor of resonant micro optical gyro (RMOG) by turntable, a new method based on equivalent input is proposed, and this is by adding sawtooth waveform to the RMOG's phase modulator, the scale factor experimental setup is constructed, the closed-loop transfer functions under turntable input and equivalent input are analyzed, relationship between parameters of the sawtooth waveform and equivalent input is derived, the scale factor and nonlinearity are obtained by the scale factor experimental setup, the scale factor is basically identical to the test result on the turntable, but the nonlinearity also to raise from 0.98% to 0.53%, the results of test demostrate that the method can not only accurately measure the scale factor, but also effectively eliminate the measurement errors due to the vibration and imperfect precision of the turntable.  相似文献

A fast signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) digital test method for a CCD camera is presented in this study. The proposed method employs the conventionally used differential operations of two sequential images to determine the noise. However, the technique focuses on two features to improve the SNR evaluation: the noise is separated from the differential image by a specially designed digital high-pass filter that does not affect the noise intensity; and the additional quantization noise introduced into the digital image by the frame grabber is corrected for in the final calculation. The method can produce an objective measurement that offers high repeatability. The results obtained are consistent with those produced by industry standard instruments.  相似文献
