Numerical calculations are carried out within the framework of the ideal compressible gas model for the unsteady flows in rectangular cavities exposed to a supersonic external stream. The Euler equations are integrated by means of Godunov's finite-difference method [6]. On the basis of an analysis of the calculation results an expression is proposed for determining the possible frequencies of the flow rate oscillations in the cavity as a function of the free-stream Mach number M and the geometry of the cavity. The results obtained are compared with the experimental data and calculations of other authors.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 121–127, March–April, 1990.  相似文献

The results of an experimental investigation of supersonic flow at the Mach number M1=3 past a transverse gas jet flowing from an orifice in the edge of a dihedral with a linear angle of 90° are presented. The Mach number of the jet was varied from 1 to 3, and the ratio of the total pressure in the jet to the free stream pressure from 90 to 760. Visualization of the flow near the faces of the dihedral revealed the existence of internal lines of flow convergence and divergence in the region of three-dimensional separated flow, which indicates the presence of complex vortex structures. The dependence of the dimensions of the separated flow zone and the characteristic pressures in it on the jet parameters is explored.Moscow. The article gives the results of an experimental investigation of the geometric structure of an opposing unexpanded jet. It discusses flow conditions with interaction between the jet and sub- and supersonic flows. It is shown that, with the outflow of an unexpanded jet counter to a supersonic flow, there are unstable flow conditions. For stable flow conditions with one roll, dependences are proposed determining the form of a jet in a supersonic opposing flow. A generalized dependence is obtained for the distribution of the pressure at the surface of a body with a jet, flowing out counter to a subsonic flow. The range of change in the determining parameters are the following: Mach numbers at outlet cross section of nozzle, M a = 1 and 3; Mach numbers of opposing flow, M = 0.6–0.9 and 2.9; degree of effectiveness of jet, n = p a /p = 0.5–800 (p a and p are the static pressures at the outlet cross section of the nozzle and in the opposing flow); the ratios of the specific heat capacities, a = = 1.4; the drag temperatures of the jet and the flow, To = Toa = 290°K.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 89–96, January–February, 1977.  相似文献

Turbulent supersonic submerged air jets have been investigated on the Mach number interval Ma = 1.5–3.4 and on the interval of ratios of the total enthalpies in the external medium and the jet i0 = 0.01 – 1. Oxyhydrogen jets with oxidizer ratios = 0.3–5 flowing from a nozzle at Mach numbers Ma = 1 and 2.4 have also been investigated. When < 1 the excess hydrogen in the jet burns up on mixing with the air. Special attention has been paid to obtaining experimental data free of the influence on the level of turbulence in the jet of the initial turbulence in the nozzle forechamber, shock waves occurring in the nozzle or in the jet at the nozzle exit, and the external acoustic field. The jet can be divided into two parts: an initial part and a main part. The initial part extends from the nozzle exit from the section x, in which the dimensionless velocity on the jet axis um = ux/ud = 0.75. Here, ux is the velocity on the jet axis at distance x from the nozzle exit, and ua is the nozzle exit velocity. The main part of the jet extends downstream from the section x. For the dimensionless length of the initial part xm = x/da, where da is the diameter of the nozzle outlet section, empirical dependences on Ma and i0 are obtained. It is shown, that in the main part of the jet the parameters on the flow axis — the dimensionless velocity and temperature — vary in inverse proportion to the distance, measured in units of length x, and do not depend on the flow characteristics which determine the length of the initial part of the jet. The angles of expansion of the viscous turbulent mixing layer in the submerged heated or burning jet increase with decrease in i0 and Ma and are practically independent of the afterburning process.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza. The problem of profiling supersonic nozzles with a central body in order to achieve uniform supersonic flow with Mach number M e >1 in the annular exit section is studied. Equal lengths of the profiled inner (central body) and outer nozzle walls can be achieved by displacing downstream the initial bend in the inner contour, i.e., in the central body wall. A displacement of this kind was proposed and tested in [1, 2] for annular nozzles with circular exit sections.Moscow. Laminar-turbulent transition on the surface of a delta wing has been experimentally investigated in a supersonic wind tunnel at Mach numbers Mt8=3–5. It is shown that when M,=3, ReL=6.5·106, and =–5.5° much of the upper surface of the wing in the neighborhood of the line of symmetry is occupied by a wedge-shaped region of turbulent flow. In this region the heat fluxes reach the same values as at the heat transfer maxima induced here by separated flows and may exceed the turbulent heat flux level on the windward surface of the wing. Changing the shape of the under surface of the wing from plane to pyramidal leads to acceleration of the boundary layer transition on the under surface.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 87–92, May–June, 1989.  相似文献

Infinitely thin wings weakly perturbing a supersonic flow of perfect gas are investigated. The flow problem is solved in a linear formulation [1]. The shape of the wing in plan and the Mach number M of the oncoming flow are specified. The optimal wing surface is determined as a result of finding the function of the local angles of attack M(x, z) which ensures a minimum of the drag coefficient cx when there are limitations in the form of equalities on the lift coefficient cy and the pitching moment mz. A separationless flow regime is realized on the optimal wing for the given number M, and its subsonic leading edge does not experience a load [2].Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 154–160, November–December, 1985.  相似文献

The vibrational temperature of the antisymmetrical type of vibrations (v 3) of the CO2 molecule at the exit of a supersonic nozzle is measured in the present work using the method of recording the infrared emission. Freezing in of thev 3-type vibrations was observed during the flow of undiluted carbon dioxide in a nozzle. In this case the vibrational temperature T3 considerably exceeded the translational temperature. On the basis of a comparison of the experimental results with calculation it can be concluded that vibrational deactivation of CO2 molecules occurs three to five times faster than the excitation of the vibrations during heating in a shock wave. All the experiments were conducted under the following conditions: maximum expansion of gas in nozzle A/A* = 115, temperature range 1900–2400 °K, pressure range 1–17.5 atm.Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Mekhaniki i Tekhnicheskoi Fiziki, No. 6, pp. 32–40, November–December, 1973.The authors are grateful to U. Results are presented of a calculation of the flow around a sphere of a two-phase supersonic jet, discharging into a vacuum. Calculations were performed by the determination method with use of a difference grid constructed on the basis of characteristic ratios [1], The parameters of the unperturbed jet were determined with the two-velocity and two-temperature model of mutually penetrating flows of continuous media (gas and particles) [2, 3] by the network method [4]. In calculating the flow around the sphere, as in [5–7], it was assumed that the particles do not affect the gas flow in the shock layer. An analysis of the effect of particles on gasdynamic parameters in a shock layer was performed in [8].Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 171–176, November–December, 1978.The authors are grateful to A. The results are given of an experimental investigation of the flow in the initial section of a turbulent underexpanded jet exhausting from a profiled nozzle with Mach number M a = 2.56 at the exit into a parallel stream with Mach number M = 3.1. Analysis of the results of measurement of the fields of the total head p0 and the stagnation temperature T0 in conjunction with results of calculation of a jet of an ideal gas make it possible to construct the velocity profile in the mixing layer of the underexpanded jet in the parallel supersonic flow.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 161–163, January–February, 1981.  相似文献

The geometrical characteristics of jets injected through an opening in a flat plate into an oncoming supersonic flow have been studied on a number of occasions [1, 3]. However, the results were analyzed under different suppositions about the important dimensionless parameters. In [1], the degree of underexpansion of the jet, characterized by n = p a /p, was regarded as decisive; in [3], the experimental points were plotted against the relative dynamic head a u2 a /(u2 ) of the jet. In the present paper, dimensional considerations are used to determine the dimensionless parameters which influence the flow field when an injected jet interacts with an oncoming supersonic gas flow. The influence of these determining dimensionless parameters on the depth of penetration of injected jets into a flow was investigated experimentally. It is shown that the relative depth of penetration is determined basically by the relative specific impulse of the jet, the injection angle, and the shape of the blowing nozzle section.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 151–154, July–August, 1980.  相似文献

The character of flow over a body, structure of the perturbed zone, and flow resistance in a supersonic flow of rarefied partially ionized gas are determined by the intrinsic magnetic field and surface potential of the body. The effects of intrinsic magnetic field and surface potential were studied in [1–4]. There have been practically no experimental studies of the effect of intrinsic magnetic field on flow of a rarefied plasma. Studies of the effect of surface potential have been limited to the case R/d<50 [1, 3]; this is due to the difficulty of realization of flowover regimes at R/d>102 (where R is the characteristic dimension of the body and X is the Debye radius). At the same time R/d>102, the regime of flow over a large body, is of the greatest practical interest. The present study will consider the effect of potential and intrinsic magnetic field on resistance of a large (R/d>102) axisymmetric body (disk, sphere) in a supersonic flow of rarefied partially ionized gas.Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Mekhaniki i Tekhnicheskoi Fiziki, No. 3, pp. 41–47, May–June, 1986.  相似文献

Within the framework of the ideal, i.e., inviscid and non-heat conducting, gas model we consider the problem of designing the supersonic section of a two-dimensional or axisymmetric nozzle realizing a uniform supersonic flow limitingly similar with a sonic flow when the choked flow involves a curvilinear sonic line. Emphasis is placed on nozzles with abruptly or steeply converging subsonic sections and a strongly curved sonic line formed by the C -characteristics of the expansion fan with the focus at the lower bend point of the vertical section of the subsonic contour. In the two-dimensional case, the least possible greater-than-unity Mach number M em at the nozzle exit corresponds to the flow in which the first intersection of the C +-characteristics originated at the closing C -characteristic of the expansion fan falls on the unknown contour of its supersonic part. For a uniform flow with M e < M em the intersection of C +-characteristics beneath the unknown contour make impossible its construction. A part of the contour realizing a uniform flow with M em > 1 ensures a limitingly rapid flow acceleration and forms the initial region of the supersonic generator of a maximum-thrust nozzle. For this reason, in the case of a curvilinear sonic line the supersonic generators of these nozzles have two, rather than one, bends, which, however, is interesting only for the theory. At least, in the calculated examples the thrusts of the nozzles with one and two bends differ only by a hundredth or even thousandth fractions of per cent.  相似文献

The spatio-temporal dynamics of small disturbances in viscous supersonic flow over a blunt flat plate at freestream Mach number M=2.5 is numerically simulated using a spectral approximation to the Navier–Stokes equations. The unsteady solutions are computed by imposing weak acoustic waves onto the steady base flow. In addition, the unsteady response of the flow to velocity perturbations introduced by local suction and blowing through a slot in the body surface is investigated. The results indicate distinct disturbance/shock-wave interactions in the subsonic region around the leading edge for both types of forcing. While the disturbance amplitudes on the wall retain a constant level for the acoustic perturbation, those generated by local suction and blowing experience a strong decay downstream of the slot. Furthermore, the results prove the importance of the shock in the distribution of perturbations, which have their origin in the leading-edge region. These disturbance waves may enter the boundary layer further downstream to excite instability modes.  相似文献

The heat transfer taking place between the gas and the surface of the plate in the zone of three-dimensional separation of the turbulent boundary layer in front of a set of supersonic jets injected perpendicularly to a subsonic carrier flow is considered. The aim of this investigation is to establish the main physical characteristics of heat transfer in the separation zones in front of jet obstacles and to obtain the distributions of the local heat-transfer coefficients and the temperature of the thermally insulating wall as functions of the parameters of the carrier flow and the injected jets. Analysis of the experimental results yields certain approximating relationships for the distribution of the local heat-transfer coefficients as functions of the Mach number of the carrier flow M, the Mach number of the jet Mj, the relative boundary-layer displacement thickness s= s * /d, and the degree of jet superheating TojTo relative to the separation zones in front of supersonic jet obstacles.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 68–72, July–August, 1975.  相似文献

Slender axisymmetric cavities in a subsonic flow of compressible fluid were investigated in [1–4]. In [5] a finite-difference method was used to calculate the drag coefficient of a circular cone, near which the shape of the cavity was determined for subsonic, transonic, and supersonic water flows; however, in the supersonic case the entire shape of the cavity was not determined. Here, on the basis of slender body theory an integrodifferential equation is obtained for the profile of the cavity in a supersonic flow. The dependence of the cavity elongation on the cavitation number and the Mach number is determined.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 179–181, January–February, 1989.  相似文献

The axisymmetric flow in the near wake of spherically blunted cones exposed to a supersonic stream of viscous perfect heat-conducting gas is numerically investigated on the basis of the complete Navier-Stokes equations. The free-stream Mach numbers considered M = 2.3 and 4 were such that the gas can be assumed to be perfect, and the Reynolds numbers such that for these Mach numbers the flow in the wake is laminar but close to laminar-turbulent transition [1–4]. The flow structure in the near wake is described in detail and the effect of the Mach and Reynolds numbers on the base pressure, the total drag and the wake geometry is investigated. The results of calculating the flow in the wake of spherically blunted cones are compared with the experimental data [4].Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 42–47, July–August, 1988.  相似文献

The numerical method of calculating the supersonic three-dimensional flow about blunt bodies with detached shock wave presented in [1–3] is applied to the case of unsteady flow. The formulation of the unsteady problem is analogous to that of [4], which assumes smallness of the unsteady disturbances. The paper presents some results of a study of the unsteady flow about blunt bodies over a wide range of variation of the Mach number M=1.50– and dimensionless oscillation frequency l/V=0–1.0. A comparison is made with the results obtained from the Newton theory.  相似文献

Results are presented of a numerical investigation of the axisymmetric flow around a family of bodies with a pointing angle for which the shock is detached. It is shown that the supersonic part of the stream remains the same for all bodies of the family for a fixed value of M despite the fact that the shaper of the subsonic zone is related quite strongly to the pointing angle *. The dependence of the shock standoff and its radius of curvature on the spreading line on the body shape is studied. Effects inherent in flows around sharply pointing bodies are discussed. A dimensionless parameter characterizing each body of the family under consideration is introduced and used to establish general flow regularities. Data illustrating the possibility of applying such parametrization are analyzed for a wider class of pointing bodies.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 111–115, July–August, 1975.  相似文献

Features of the ignition kinetics of an H2/air mixture in the supersonic flow behind an inclined shock front are analyzed when asymmetric vibrations of a small amount (<1%) of O3 molecules specially introduced into the initial mixture are excited by 9.7 μm wavelength radiation. It is shown that this radiation leads to intensification of the chain reactions and makes it possible to organize combustion at small distances from the front (of the order of 1 m) of even relatively weak shocks at small values of the laser radiation energies absorbed by the gas. This method of initiating combustion in a supersonic flow is 10–100 times more efficient than the thermal method.__________Translated from Izvestiya Rossiiskoi Academii Nauk, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, 2005, pp. 157–167.Original Russian Text Copyright © 2005 by Lukhovitskii, Starik, and Titova.  相似文献
