The fractional composition of the polar lipids and also the fatty-acid composition of the main components of the phospholipids of the Chinese tallow tree have been studied. It has been established that in the seeds of the Chinese tallow tree there are 11 phospholipids, two glycolipids, and two phosphonolipids. The phospholipids of the polar lipids of the seeds of the Judas tree and the fatty-acid composition of the N-acylphosphatidylethanolamines, the phosphatidylcholines, and the phosphatidylethanolamines, and also the molecular-species types of the fatty acids of the phosphatidylcholines and the phosphatidylethanolamines have been studied. By chromatographic methods, about 30 groups of various lipid compounds belonging to the classes of neutral lipids, glycolipids, and phospholipids have been identified from the fruit of the fig tree. The main groups are triacylglycerols, free and esterified sterols, mono- and digalactosyldiglycerides, ceramide oligosides, cerebrosides, esterified sterol glycosides, and phosphatidylglycerols. Summary The fatty-acid composition of the combined phospholipids and also of the main and two minor components of the phospholipids have been studied. On the basis of the results of acid hydrolysis and also IR spectroscopy, the glycerophospholipid structure of the main components of the total material has been confirmed. These main components have been subjected to enzymatic hydrolysis: the position distribution of the fatty acids have been determined and, from these, the possible diglyceride compositions of the phosphatidylcholines, phosphatidylethanolamines, and phosphatidylinositols have been calculated. The composition of the fatty acids and phospholipids of 16 species of lichens collected in the basin of the river Volga has been studied. The main phospholipid was phosphatidylcholine the amount of which ranged in the various species from 33.3 to 85.5% of the total phospholipids. Other phospholipids were also found: phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylinositol, and phosphatidylglycerol. The total phospholipids of kenaf of variety Opytnyi-1847 and homogeneous fractions of them have been studied. The acyl-containing classes of neutral lipids have been studied and the amounts of phospholipids and their fatty acid composition have been determined in the pericarps and seeds ofZizyphus jujuba. The fatty oil of the seeds contains oleic acid while in the neutral lipids of the pericarps the main acid is the biologically active palmitoleic. In the qualitative respect, the set of phospholipids in the seeds is more diverse, while the main classes quantitatively in both parts of the fruit are phosphatidylcholines and phosphatidylglycerols. The composition of the fruiting body ofPleurotus ostreatus has been studied. The total neutral lipids and phospholipids have been isolated. The compositions of the neutral lipids, glycolipids, phospholipids and fatty acids of the brown algaeLaminaria japonica andLaminaria cichoriodes have been studied. It has been found that the glycolipids are the main lipid classes in these algae. Palmitic, oleic, and polyunsaturated acids with 18 and 20 carbon atoms form the group of main acids.
