The joint continuity of Gaussian local times is investigated under conditions strictly weaker than the local nondeterminism. Our conditions are given in terms of the interpolation variances only and they cover the class of Gaussian Markov processes. A new order of infinitesimal in the tail probability of the local time at the origin is obtained.  相似文献

Two different measures of the local accuracy of a linear multistep method — the local error and the local trunction error — appear in the literature. It is shown that the principal parts of these errors are not identical for general linear multistep methods, but that they are so for a sub-class which contains all methods of Adams type. We investigate the connection between conditional local limit theorems and the local time of integer-valued stationary processes. We show that a conditional local limit theorem (at 0) implies the convergence of local times to Mittag-Leffler distributions, both in the weak topology of distributions and a.s. in the space of distributions.  相似文献

Let x(t), 0 ≦ t ≦ 1, be a real measurable function having a local time α(x, t) which is a continuous function of t for almost all x. It is also assumed that, for some m ≧ 2 and some real interval B, αm(x, 1) is integrable over B. The modulator is a function Mm(t, B), t > 0, denned in terms of α. It is shown that the modulator serves as a measure of the smoothness of the Lm(B)-valued function α(., t) with respect to t. Then it is shown that the modulator plays a central role in precisely describing certain irregularity properties of x(t). The results are applied to the case where x(t) is the sample function of a real stochastic process. In this way new results are obtained for large classes of Gaussian and Markov processes.  相似文献

By means of the proposed new variants of the local strains theory it is possible to solve a broad class of complex loading problems for initially isotropic materials. The basic equations for a series of variants of incompressible and compressible materials are derived. In this paper, we focus on a local superconvergence analysis of the finite element method for the Stokes equations by local projections. The local and global superconvergence results of finite element solutions are provided for the Stokes problem under some corresponding regularity assumptions. Conclusion can be drawn that the local superconvergence has advantages over the global superconvergence in two important aspects. On the one hand, it offsets theoretical limitation in practical applications. On the other hand, interior estimates are derived on the base of local properties of the domain without global smoothness for the exact solution and prior regularity of the problem globally over the whole domain.  相似文献

In his book SGA2, A. Grothendieck developed Lefschetz theorems for the Picard group, the aim being to compare the Picard group of a projective variety with the one of a hyperplane section. An intermediate object is the Picard group of the formal completion along the hyperplane section. Here we proceed similarly but in the local complex analytic context.
