Let \(\mathfrak{X}\) =〈X;R〉 be a relational system.X is a non-empty set andR is a collection of subsets ofX α, α an ordinal. The system of equivalence relations onX having the substitution property with respect to members ofR form a complete latticeC( \(\mathfrak{X}\) ) containing the identity but not necessarilyX×X. It is shown that for any relational system (X;R) there is a groupoid definable onX whose congruence lattice isC( \(\mathfrak{X}\) )U{X×X} . Theorem 2 and Corollary 2 contain some interesting combinatorial pecularities associated with oriented complete graphs and simple groupoids.  相似文献

It has been conjectured that strongly pseudoconvex manifoldsX such that its exceptional setS is an irreducible curve can be embedded biholomorphically into some ? N ×P m . In this paper we show that this is true, with one exception, namely when dim? X = 3 and its first Chern classc 1 (K X ¦S) = 0 whereS ?P 1 andK X is the canonical bundle ofX. On the other hand, we explicitly exhibit such a 3-foldX that is not Kahlerian; also we construct non-Kahlerian strongly pseudoconvex 3-foldX whose exceptional setS is a ruled surface; those concrete examples naturally raise the possibility of classifying non-Kahlerian strongly pseudoconvex 3-folds.  相似文献

A class K of rings has the GADS property (i.e., generalized ADS property) if wheneverX&;ltri; I&;ltri; R with X&;isin; K, then there exists B &;ltri; R with B &;isin; K such that X &;sube; B &;sube; I. Radicals whose semisimple classes have the GADS property are called g-radicals. In this paper, we fully characterize the class of g -radicals. We show that ? is a g-radical if and only if either ? &;sube; I or S? &;sube; I , whereI denotes the class of idempotent rings and S? denotes the semisimple class of ?. It is also shown that the (hereditary) g-radicals form an (atomic) sublattice of the lattice of all radicals.  相似文献

Given a convex body ${K\subset\mathbb{R}^n}$ (n??? 1) which contains o in its interior and ${{\bf u} \in S^{n-1}}$ , we introduce conic volume ratio r(K, u) of K in the direction of u by $$r(K, {\bf u})=\frac{vol(cone(K,{\bf u})\cap B_2^n)}{vol(B_2^n)},$$ where cone(K, u) is the packing cone of K in the direction of u. We prove that if K is an o-symmetric convex body in ${\mathbb{R}^n}$ and r(K, u) is a constant function of u, then K must be a Euclidean ball.  相似文献

The nonabelian Jacobian J(X;L,d) of a smooth projective surface X is inspired by the classical theory of Jacobian of curves. It is built as a natural scheme interpolating between the Hilbert scheme X [d] of subschemes of length d of X and the stack M X(2,L,d) of torsion free sheaves of rank 2 on X having the determinant OX(L) and the second Chern class(= number) d.It relates to such influential ideas as variations of Hodge structures, period maps, nonabelian Hodge theory,Homological mirror symmetry, perverse sheaves, geometric Langlands program. These relations manifest themselves by the appearance of the following structures on J(X;L,d):1) a sheaf of reductive Lie algebras;2)(singular) Fano toric varieties whose hyperplane sections are(singular) Calabi-Yau varieties;3) trivalent graphs. This is an expository paper giving an account of most of the main properties of J(X;L,d) uncovered in Reider 2006 and ArXiv:1103.4794v1.  相似文献

Let k be a field of positive characteristic and K = k(V) a function field of a variety V over k and let A K be the ring of adèles of K with respect to the places on K corresponding to the divisors on V. Given a Drinfeld module $\Phi :\mathbb{F}[t] \to End_K (\mathbb{G}_a )$ over K and a positive integer g we regard both K g and A K g as $\Phi \left( {\mathbb{F}_p [t]} \right)$ -modules under the diagonal action induced by Φ. For Γ ? K g a finitely generated $\Phi \left( {\mathbb{F}_p [t]} \right)$ -submodule and an affine subvariety $X \subseteq \mathbb{G}_a^g$ defined over K, we study the intersection of X(A K ), the adèlic points of X, with $\bar \Gamma$ , the closure of Γ with respect to the adèlic topology, showing under various hypotheses that this intersection is no more than X(K) ∩ Γ.  相似文献

We characterize the additive operators preserving rank-additivity on symmetry matrix spaces. LetS n(F) be the space of alln×n symmetry matrices over a fieldF with 2,3 ∈F *, thenT is an additive injective operator preserving rank-additivity onS n(F) if and only if there exists an invertible matrixU∈M n(F) and an injective field homomorphism ? ofF to itself such thatT(X)=cUX ?UT, ?X=(xij)∈Sn(F) wherecF *,X ?=(?(x ij)). As applications, we determine the additive operators preserving minus-order onS n(F) over the fieldF.  相似文献

Let (X/Z,B+A) be a Q-factorial dlt pair where B,A??0 are Q-divisors and K X +B+A?? Q 0/Z. We prove that any LMMP/Z on K X +B with scaling of an ample/Z divisor terminates with a good log minimal model or a Mori fibre space. We show that a more general statement follows from the ACC for lc thresholds. An immediate corollary of these results is that log flips exist for log canonical pairs.  相似文献

Let ${{\bf D}_{\bf x} := \sum_{i=1}^n \frac{\partial}{\partial x_i} e_i}$ be the Euclidean Dirac operator in ${\mathbb{R}^n}$ and let P(X) = a m X m + . . . + a 1 Xa 0 be a polynomial with real coefficients. Differential equations of the form P(D x )u(x) = 0 are called homogeneous polynomial Dirac equations with real coefficients. In this paper we treat Dirichlet type problems of the a slightly less general form P(D x )u(x) = f(x) (where the roots are exclusively real) with prescribed boundary conditions that avoid blow-ups inside the domain. We set up analytic representation formulas for the solutions in terms of hypercomplex integral operators and give exact formulas for the integral kernels in the particular cases dealing with spherical and concentric annular domains. The Maxwell and the Klein–Gordon equation are included as special subcases in this context.  相似文献

Let X be a topological space upon which a compact connected Lie group G acts. It is well known that the equivariant cohomology H * G (X; Q) is isomorphic to the subalgebra of Weyl group invariants of the equivariant cohomology H * T (X; Q), where T is a maximal torus of G. This relationship breaks down for coefficient rings k other than Q. Instead, we prove that under a mild condition on k the algebra H * G (X; k) is isomorphic to the subalgebra of H * T (X; k) annihilated by the divided difference operators.  相似文献

Let Z, H be spaces. In previous work, we introduced the direct system X induced by the set of maps between the spaces Z and H. Now we will consider the case that X is induced by possibly a proper subset of the maps of Z to H. Our objective is to explore conditions under which X = dirlim X will be T1, Hausdorff, regular, completely regular, pseudo-compact, normal, an absolute co-extensor for some space K, or will enjoy some combination of these properties.  相似文献

Any (measurable) function K from Rn to R defines an operator K acting on random variables X by K(X) = K(X1,..., Xn), where the Xj are independent copies of X. The main result of this paper concerns continuous selectors H, continuous functions defined in Rn and such that H(x1, x2,..., xn) ∈ {x1, x2,..., xn}. For each such continuous selector H (except for projections onto a single coordinate) there is a unique point ωH in the interval (0, 1) so that, for any random variable X, the iterates H(N) acting on X converge in distribution as N → ∞ to the ωH-quantile of X.  相似文献

LetX 1,X 2, ...,X n be independent and identically distributed random vectors inR d , and letY=(Y 1,Y 2, ...,Y n )′ be a random coefficient vector inR n , independent ofX j /′ . We characterize the multivariate stable distributions by considering the independence of the random linear statistic $$U = Y_1 X_1 + Y_2 X_2 + \cdot \cdot \cdot + Y_n X_n $$ and the random coefficient vectorY.  相似文献

LetK be an algebraic number field,S?S \t8 a finite set of valuations andC a non-singular algebraic curve overK. LetxK(C) be non-constant. A pointPC(K) isS-integral if it is not a pole ofx and |x(P)| v >1 impliesvS. It is proved that allS-integral points can be effectively determined if the pair (C, x) satisfies certain conditions. In particular, this is the case if
  1. x:CP 1 is a Galois covering andg(C)≥1;
  2. the integral closure of $\bar Q$ [x] in $\bar Q$ (C) has at least two units multiplicatively independent mod $\bar Q$ *.
This generalizes famous results of A. Baker and other authors on the effective solution of Diophantine equations.  相似文献

Let T be an ordered ring without divisors of zero, and letA be the set of archimedean subgroups of T generated by a Banaschewski functionτ. LetXΠΔ R be the power series ring of the real numbers ? over the totally ordered semigroup Δ of archimedean classes of T, and letχ be the usual Banaschewski function onXΠΔ R. The following are equivalent:
  1. τ satisfies the additional condition; for convex subgroups P,Q of T, where
  2. There exists a one-to-one homomorphism Γ:T→XΠΔ R of ordered rings such that for every convex subgroup Q ofXΠΔ R, there exists a convex subgroup P of T such that \(\Gamma (P) \subseteq Q\) and \(\Gamma (\tau (P)) \subseteq \chi (Q)\) .

In this paper we consider a (p × q)-matrix X = (X 1, ..., X q ), where a pq-vector vec (X) = (X 1 T , ...,X q T ) T is assumed to be distributed normally with mean vector vec (M) = (M 1 T , ...,M q T ) T and a positive definite covariance matrix Λ. Suppose that Λ follows a Kronecker product covariance structure, that is Λ = Φ?Σ, where Φ = (? ij ) is a (q × q)-matrix and Σ = (σ ij ) is a (p × p)-matrix and the matrices Φ, Σ are positive definite. Such a model is considered in [4], where the maximum likelihood estimates of the parameters M, Φ, Σ are obtained. Using S. N. Roy’s technique (see, e.g., [3]) of the multivariate statistical analysis, we obtain consistent and unbiased estimates of M, Φ, Σ as in [4], but with less calculations.  相似文献

Let ${\mathbf{K} \subset \mathbb{R}^n}$ be a compact basic semi-algebraic set. We provide a necessary and sufficient condition (with no à priori bounding parameter) for a real sequence y = (y α), ${\alpha \in \mathbb{N}^n}$ , to have a finite representing Borel measure absolutely continuous w.r.t. the Lebesgue measure on K, and with a density in ${\cap_{p \geq 1} L_p(\mathbf{K})}$ . With an additional condition involving a bounding parameter, the condition is necessary and sufficient for the existence of a density in L (K). Moreover, nonexistence of such a density can be detected by solving finitely many of a hierarchy of semidefinite programs. In particular, if the semidefinite program at step d of the hierarchy has no solution, then the sequence cannot have a representing measure on K with a density in L p (K) for any p ≥ 2d.  相似文献

Letf(X; T 1, ...,T n) be an irreducible polynomial overQ. LetB be the set ofb teZ n such thatf(X;b) is of lesser degree or reducible overQ. We prove inequalities which give lower bounds for the Lebesgue measures of setsE +K whereK is a certain kind of Cantor set. For example, ifC is the Cantor middle-thirds subset of the circle groupT, then $$m(E)^{1 - log2/log3} \leqq m(E + C)$$ for every BorelE ?T.  相似文献
