The reflection and absorption spectra and the resistivity data for La0.93Sr0.07MnO3, La0.9Sr0.1MnO3, La0.85Sr0.15MnO3, La0.92Ca0.08MnO3 and La0.85Ba0.15MnO3 single crystals have been collected and analyzed by using small lattice polaron theory. The activation energies of the polaron hop are determined. The lattice polarons are found to be dominated in the electronic transport and optical properties in the paramagnetic state in La0.93Sr0.07MnO3, La0.92Ca0.08MnO3 and La0.85Ba0.15MnO3 crystals. It is shown that lattice polaron involves more than one Mn site.  相似文献

钙钛矿锰氧化物(以下简称锰氧化物,如La1-xSrxMnO3等,x为掺杂浓度)因其优异的电、磁性质受到人们广泛的关注,但是对于其材料内部载流子性质的认识至今仍没有统一定论.本文基于锰氧化物内Mn—O链的特点,建立一维紧束缚模型,对锰氧化物载流子的性质展开研究.发现在掺杂浓度x=0.5时,系统处于铁磁态,自旋能级完全劈裂,价带和导带之间存在带隙,所有电子态呈现扩展行为.进一步掺杂,将出现局域电子态,同时伴随着晶格的局域畸变,形成所谓的极化子.伴随着极化子的出现,带隙中出现极化子深能级.极化子携带的电荷量越多,形成的晶格缺陷越深,局域能级也越深.当极化子的电荷量继续增加时,极化子解离,载流子倾向于形成能量更低的正反"孤子"对.  相似文献

In the present study we report the precise resistivity measurements for the polycrystalline bulk sample as well as highly oriented thin-films of La0.8Ca0.2MnO3. The poly crystalline sample was prepared by standard solid-state reaction route and the oriented thin film was prepared by pulsed laser deposition (PLD). The phase purity of these samples was confirmed by X-ray diffraction and the back-scattered electron imaging using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The oxygen stoichiometry analysis was done by iodimetry titration. The resistivities of these samples were carried out with four-probe resistivity measurement setup. The observed temperature dependence of resistivity data for both the samples was fitted using the polaron model. We have found that polaronic model fits well with the experimental data of both polycrystalline and single crystal samples. A new phenomenological model is proposed and used to estimate contribution to the resistivity due to grain boundary in the ferromagnetic state of polycrystalline manganites and it has been shown that the scattering of electrons from the grain boundary (grain surface) is a function of temperature and controlled by the effective grain resistance at that temperature.  相似文献

The one-orbital model for manganites with cooperative phonons and superexchange coupling JAF is investigated via large-scale Monte Carlo simulations. The results for two orbitals are also briefly discussed. Focusing on the electron density n=0.75, a regime of competition between ferromagnetic metallic and charge-ordered (CO) insulating states is identified. In the vicinity of the associated bicritical point, colossal magnetoresistance (CMR) effects are observed. The CMR is associated with the development of short-distance correlations among polarons, above the spin ordering temperatures, resembling the charge arrangement of the low-temperature CO state.  相似文献

Magnon excitation in a ferromagnetic state of Sm(0.55)Sr(0.45)MnO(3) located on the verge of the metal-insulator transition has been studied in terms of the neutron scattering experiment. The anomalous magnon dispersion with the zone-boundary softening is well described by the Heisenberg model with extended exchange coupling constants J(s). In particular the fourth neighbor coupling J(4) is as large as 0.6 times the nearest neighbor one J(1). Theoretical analysis based on the local density approximation + Hubbard U band calculation reveals that this one-dimensional exchange path is due to the (3z(2)-r(2))-type orbital correlation, in sharp contrast to previous proposals.  相似文献

Neutron scattering results are presented for spin-wave excitations of three ferromagnetic metallic A1-xA'xMnO3 manganites (where A and A' are rare- and alkaline-earth-metal ions), which when combined with previous work elucidate the systematics of the interactions as a function of carrier concentration x, on-site disorder, and strength of the lattice distortion. The long-wavelength spin dynamics show only a very weak dependence across the series. The ratio of fourth to first neighbor exchange (J4/J1) that controls the zone boundary magnon softening changes systematically with x, but does not depend on the other parameters. None of the prevailing models can account for these behaviors.  相似文献

The temperature dependences of the residual magnetization in narrow-band manganites (Pr0.67Ca0.33MnO3, Sm0.55Sr0.45Mn18O3, Sm0.55Sr0.45Mn16O3, and (NdEu)0.55Sr0.45Mn18O3) have been studied. All compounds studied are characterized by a fairly high residual magnetization M R (about 0.5 μB/Mn) at 4.2 K, which vanishes upon sample heating to the temperature T RE ≈ 30–35 K, which is much lower than the temperature T C of the ferromagnetic transition. However, upon magnetization of the samples at T RE < T < T C , the residual magnetization (smaller in magnitude) remains up to T C . For the composition (NdEu)0.55Sr0.45Mn18O3, the residual magnetization remains at T < T C , independent of the temperature of magnetization. The disappearance of the residual magnetization found at intermediate temperatures is apparently related to the destruction of the magnetic field-induced ferromagnetic ordering (which contains an additional contribution of the rare-earth sublattice).  相似文献

使用飞秒时间分辨抽运-探测磁光Kerr光谱技术,实验研究了圆偏振光抽运面内磁化FePt和垂直磁化GdFeCo薄膜的磁化演化动力学,发现在时间延迟零点处均出现瞬态Kerr峰.分析了此Kerr峰的起源,指出此瞬态Kerr峰与铁磁性无关,可能起源于自由电子的顺磁磁化,而顺磁磁化的外磁场来自圆偏振抽运光的逆Faraday效应.基于顺磁磁化模型的计算结果支持此观点.基于此观点,逆Faraday效应感应的磁场脉冲宽度应该与激光脉冲宽度一致.  相似文献

The low temperature magnetic and transport properties of the Pr0.5Ca0.5Mn1-xNixO3 manganites ( 0≤ x ≤0.1) have been investigated. The presence of Ni hinders the charge and orbital ordering observed in Pr0.5Ca0.5MnO3 and favors the creation of ferromagnetic regions, leading to phase separation. The ferromagnetic fractions induced by the Ni substitution have been estimated from magnetization measurements, they are large and reach 40% for 4% of Ni. Steps are observed in the M ( H ) and ρ( H ) curves of all the samples at T < 5 K. They are similar to the steps observed in Pr0.5Ca0.5Mn1-xMxO3, where M is a non magnetic cation (Mg2+, Ga3+,...), and for which the ferromagnetic fractions are very small (less than 2%), however, their appearance is restricted to lower temperatures (T < 5 K) with Ni dopant than with non magnetic cations. This study shows that steps can be observed in a wide range of phase-separated systems, even when the ferromagnetic fraction is very large. The nature of the electrical resistivity for low-doped lanthanum manganites is elucidated. The electrical resistivity is described by the Efros-Shklovskii law (lnρ √ (T 0/T)−1/2, where T 0 √ 1/R ls) in the temperature range from T* ≈ 300 K ≈ T C (T C is the Curie temperature for conducting manganites) to their T C and is explained by the tunneling of carriers between localized states. The magnetoresistance is explained by a change in the size of localized states R ls in a magnetic field. The patterns of change in R ls with temperature and magnetic field strength determined from magnetotransport properties are satisfactorily described in the model of phase separation into small-radius metallic droplets in a paramagnetic matrix. The sizes R ls and their temperature dependence have been estimated through magnetic measurements. The results confirm the existence of a Griffith phase. The intrinsic inhomogeneities produced by thermodynamic phase separation determine the electrical resistivity and magnetoresistance of lanthanum manganites.  相似文献

We present experimental data of magnetization and magneto-resistance of nanostructured La2/3B1/3MnO3 with B=Ca, Sr, which present difference between the coercive field in the magnetization loop with their corresponding maximum value in the magneto-resistance. This difference is described by a model that include, size distribution of magnetic particles, randomly oriented anisotropy axis and electronic transfer between the particles, which is mediated by spin-polarized tunneling process. Also, the model predicts that the maximum magneto-resistance can be, in the magnetic disorder state, two times larger than the experimental value. The model results can be used to estimate the size dispersion of nanoparticles in similar systems.  相似文献

Spin dynamics is calculated in the ferromagnetic (FM) state of the generalized Kondo lattice model taking into account strong on-site correlations between eg electrons and antiferromagnetic (AFM) exchange among t2g spins. Our study suggests that competing FM double-exchange and AFM super-exchange interaction lead to a rather nontrivial spin-wave spectrum. While spin excitations have a conventional Dq2 spectrum in the long-wavelength limit, there is a strong deviation from the spin-wave spectrum of the isotropic Heisenberg model close to the zone boundary. The relevance of our results to the experimental data are discussed.  相似文献

Optical manipulation of the magnetic anisotropy is demonstrated for bilayered manganites, La2-2xSr1+2xMn2O7, by means of femtosecond Kerr-rotation measurements. Upon the photoexcitation on the x=0.32 crystal, the magnetization exhibits the precessional motion for about 1 ns, revealing the directional change of the magnetocrystalline anisotropy from the c axis to the ab plane. This change of the anisotropy induces the nonthermal decrease of the c-axis magnetization component for about 1 ns.  相似文献

At large charge carrier densities the resistivity peak close to the Curie point and colossal negative magnetoresistance common for degenerate ferromagnetic semiconductors disappear. Instead of them a conductivity peak and positive magnetoresistance may appear. Necessary conditions for this are an incomplete spin polarisation of charge carriers and a dominating role of the magnetoimpurity scattering.  相似文献

The damping coefficient of magnons interacting with carriers in ferromagnetic semiconductors subjected to a temperature gradient is calculated. It is shown that the spin waves may be amplified by the carriers when the temperature gradient exceeds a critical value.  相似文献
