The statistical properties of the 165Ho(α,2nγ) 167Tm reaction were investigated. It was found that both the slopes of the excitation functions and the side-feeding intensities are independent of the K quantum number. Regular behaviour of these quantities as a function of the spin I and of the excitation energies of the observed levels provide a means for spin assignments, just as for spherical nuclei. We continue the discussion on the respective roles of individual and collective motion in the angular momentum distribution in fission fragments. As in our prior publications on the subject, the role of individual nucleon motion in fragments in the postscission configuration is underlined, and the central part in the discussion concerns phenomena observed in the spontaneous fission of even-even nuclei. The angular distribution of long-range alpha particles emitted in keV-neutron induced fission of235U has been measured using a technique which employs only a particle telescope to derive the angular information. The neutron

The one-nucleon transfer reaction on deformed nuclei has been computed with the inclusion of indirect inelastic transitions that go through intermediate rotational states. The specific examples considered are171Yb(d, p), 172Yb(p, d) and 186W(p, d). Anomalies in the shapes of of experimental angular distributions with respect to predictions of the distorted-wave Born approximation are shown to be reproduced when these higher-order inelastic processes are taken into account. Consideration is also given to the deuteron optical potential needed for these studies. 相似文献

It is shown that the height of the barrier and its position, as well the depth of the capture well, are highly sensitive to
the relative orientation of colliding strongly deformed nuclei. It is found that the fusion/capture cross sections and the
nucleus-nucleus potential for heavy nuclear systems depend greatly on the magnitude and sign of the quadrupole deformation
of nuclear surfaces. In order to describe correctly the cross section for the capture of heavy strongly deformed nuclei, it
is necessary to perform averaging over all three angles that describe their relative orientation. Allowance for a hexadecapole
deformation leads to a significant increase in the capture cross section for very heavy nucleus-nucleus systems. 相似文献

We carry out a systematic study on the fusion-fission and evaporation residue excitation functions for the reactions of 6,7Li, 9Be, 10,11B + 209Bi and 6,9Li, 9Be + 208Pb, in which the projectiles are loosely bound and have low threshold energies against breakup. The fusion cross sections are calculated by the coupled-channel model. The compound nuclei decay are analyzed with the standard statistical model. The fission and evaporation residue excitation functions are well reproduced by our calculations, proving the validity of the standard statistical model in describing the compound nuclei decay in these characteristic reactions. For the compound nuclei with A=215-220 and Z=86-88, the liquid drop fission barriers need to be scaled by 0.80-1.02 to reproduce the experimental data. And a decreasing trend of the scaling factor with increasing fissionability parameter Z2/(50A) is found. 相似文献

We describe the spontaneous ternary cold fission of 252Cf, accompanied by 4He, 10Be and 14C. The light cluster decays from the first resonant eigenstate in the Coulomb potential plus a harmonic oscillator potential. We have shown that the angular distribution of the emitted light particle is strongly connected with its deformation and the equatorial distance. 相似文献

It is demonstrated that the formation of the fissile nucleus prescission configuration with two fission prefragments connected
by a neck is possible only with the simultaneous appearance of high values of relative orbital moments [(L)\vec]\vec L of the abovementioned prefragments, independently of their form. It is found that conservation of the fissile nucleus spin
when its values are low leads to the formation of high values of prefragment spins [(J)\vec]1\vec J_1, [(J)\vec]2\vec J_2 that are oriented antiparallel to the moment [(L)\vec]\vec L and perpendicular to the fissile nucleus symmetry axis. It is shown that for two deformed fission prefragments, the pumping
mechanism of high values of their relative moments [(L)\vec]\vec L and spins [(J)\vec]1\vec J_1, [(J)\vec]2\vec J_2 is due to the combined influence of bending- and wriggling- vibrations, the latter predominating. It is found that the high
values of spherical fission prefragments are not related to thermal excitations but is determined by the excitation of the
initial high-spin double quasiparticle states, due to the nonadiabatic collective deformation motion of the fissile nucleus

For the first time, average angular momenta of the ternary fission fragments 100, 102Zr, 106Mo, 144, 146Ba and 138, 140, 142Xe from the α-accompanied fission of 252Cf were obtained from relative intensities of prompt γ-ray transitions with the use of the statistical model calculation. Average values of the angular momenta were compared with the corresponding values for the same fission fragments from the binary fission of 252Cf. Results indicate the presence of a decreasing trend in the average values of angular momenta induced in ternary fission fragments compared to the same binary fission fragments. On the average, the total angular momentum extracted for ternary fission fragments is ∼1.4 ℏ lower than in binary fission. Consequently, results indicate that the mechanism of the ternary α-particles emission may directly effect an induction of angular momenta of fission fragments, and possible scenarios of such mechanisms are discussed. Further, the dependence of the angular momenta of 106Mo and 140Xe on the number of emitted neutrons from correlated pairs of primary fragments was obtained also showing a decreasing dependence of average angular momenta with increasing number of emitted neutrons. Two-dimensional mass-energy distributions of fission fragments are calculated for the first time on the basis of three-dimensional stochastic Langevin equations. In these calculations, the emission of light prescission particles is taken into account within the statistical model. The results demonstrate that calculations within three-dimensional Langevin dynamics make it possible to describe most compre-hensively the properties of the mass-energy distribution of fission fragments and the mean multiplicity of prescission neutrons. 相似文献

Finite-range DWBA calculations have been done for the reaction 154Sm(p, t)152Sm. The results have been compared with those of the zero-range DWBA calculations. It is found that the finite-range effects are considerably large to the shapes of the angular distributions, but are small to the relative magnitude of the cross section for the 2+ and 4+ ground-band members to the ground-state transition. 相似文献

The charge distribution of fragments originatingfrom the fission of the 236U compound nucleus is calculated within a stochastic approach based on Langevin equations. The elongation coordinate, the neck-thickness coordinate, and the charge-asymmetry coordinate are chosen as collective variables. The friction parameter of the charge mode is calculated on the basis of two nuclear-viscosity mechanisms, that of one-body and that of two-body dissipation. It is shown that the Langevin approach is applicable to studying isobaric distributions. In addition, the charge distribution in question is studied as a function of the excitation energy of the compound nucleus and as a function of the coefficient of two-body viscosity. 相似文献

Formation and evolution of dinuclear systems in reactions of complete fusion are considered. Based on the dinuclear system concept, the process of compound nucleus formation is studied. Arguments confirming the validity of this concept are given. The main problems of describing the complete fusion in adiabatic approximation are listed. The angular distributions of fragments originating from the binary fission of odd and odd-odd nuclei capable of undergoing spontaneous fission that are polarized by a strong magnetic field at ultralow temperatures and from the low-energy photofission of even-even nuclei that is induced by dipole and quadrupole photons are investigated. It is shown that the deviations of these angular distributions from those that are obtained on the basis of the A. Bohr formula make it possible to estimate the maximum relative orbital angular momentum of fission fragments, this estimate providing important information about the relative orientation of the fragment spins. The angular distributions of fragments originating from subthreshold fission are analyzed for the case of the 238U nucleus. A comparison of the resulting angular distributions with their experimental counterparts leads to the conclusion that the maximum relative orbital angular momentum of binary-fission fragments exceeds 20, the fragment spins having predominantly a parallel orientation. The possibility is considered for performing an experiment aimed at measuring the angular distributions of fragments of the spontaneous fission of polarized nuclei in order to determine both the spins of such nuclei and the maximum values of the relative orbital angular momenta of fission fragments. 相似文献

Yields of the 101Mo, 135I, and 135m Cs isotopes from the photofission of the actinide nuclei 232Th 238U, and 237Np are measured. These fission fragments have specific nuclear structure features or are of practical use. The measurements are performed in the bremsstrahlung from the microtron of the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions, Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) at an electron energy of 22 MeV. Production of the heaviest nuclei in complete fusion reactions
induced by heavy ions has been considered in a systematic way in the framework
of the conventional barrier passing model coupled with the statistical model.
Available data on excitation functions for fission and production of
evaporation residues (ER) in very asymmetric combinations induced by ions
lighter than Ne on actinide target nuclei are described rather well in the
framework of these models. The data allow one to adjust model parameters and to
reveal the quasi-fission effect caused by the interaction with deformed target
nuclei, which is manifested in the suppression of the ER production at
sub-barrier energies. For reactions induced by Mg and heavier projectiles,
quasi-fission is starting to suppress fusion (ER production) at energies above
the Coulomb barrier. One has to introduce empirically the quantity of the
fusion probability Pfus to reproduce the ER excitation functions
in the framework of the conventional approach. The exponential dependence of
Pfus on the combined fissility parameter (a similar parameter
that was introduced for the extra-push energy scaling) was found in search for
scaling for the Pfus values resulting from the data analysis. 相似文献
