The CuO-CeO2/Al2O3 catalysts for the selective oxidation of CO in hydrogen-containing mixtures were prepared by surface self-propagating thermal synthesis (SSTS) with the use of cerium nitrate Ce(NO3)3, the ammonia complex of copper acetate [Cu(NH3)4](CH3COO)2, and citric acid C6H8O7 as a fuel additive. The effect of the C6H8O7/Ce(NO3)3 molar ratio on the catalyst activity and selectivity for oxygen was studied. The catalyst samples were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, temperature-programmed reduction (TPR-H2), IR spectroscopy of adsorbed CO, and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). It was found that an increase in the C6H8O7/Ce(NO3)3 ratio resulted in an increase in the degree of dispersion of the resulting CeO2 phase. The greatest amount of dispersed CuO particles, which are responsible for catalytic activity in the oxidation of CO, was formed at C6H8O7/Ce(NO3)3 = 1.  相似文献

In order to explore the influence of CeO2 on the structure and surface characteristics of molybdena, an investigation was undertaken by using N2 adsorption (BET method), thermal analysis and in-situ diffuse reflectance infrared (DRIFT) techniques. In this work, the Mo/CeO2 and Ce-Mo/Al2O3 samples were prepared by impregnation and co-precipitation methods with high Mo loadings. Combining the results one may notice that the presence of ceria led to the increase of polymerized surface Mo species so as to forming Mo-O-Ce linkages besides the formation of coupled O=Mo=O bonds indicative of polymeric MoO3. From thermal analysis, it can be inferred that Mo/Al2O3 is the thermally most stable material in the temperature range used in the experiment (up to 900°C), whereas Ce-Mo/Al2O3 and Mo/CeO2 samples undergo morphological modifications above 700°C resulting in lattice defects, which motivate the mobility of Mo and Ce ions and thus enhance the possibility of interaction between them. Additionally, their activity towards CO adsorption needs reduced ceria and molybdena containing coordinatively unsaturated sites (CUS), oxygen vacancies and hydroxyl groups to form various carbonate species.  相似文献

We have established that introducing a promoter (Pd) and modifying additives (La2O3, CeO2) into the composition of a Co3O4/cordierite catalyst leads to an increase in its activity and selectivity during reduction of oxygen by hydrogen in the presence of nitrogen(II) oxide.  相似文献

It has been established that oxides of the rare-earth elements with moderate redox potentials (La2O3, CeO2) increased the activity and working stability of Ni-Al2O3/cordierite catalysts in the reactions of deep and partial oxidation of methane. In the presence of the (NiO + La2O3 + Al2O3)/cordierite catalyst the process of carbon dioxide conversion of methane can be intensified by introduction of oxygen into the reaction gas mixture which decreases the temperature to achieve high conversion to 75–100 °C and has practically no effect on selectivity with respect to H2. Ag/Al2O3 is a promising catalyst for the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) by hydrocarbons (HC) of NO x in both laboratory and diesel engine bench tests. New developments of the HC-SCR of NO x over a Ag/Al2O3 catalyst are reviewed, including the efficiencies and sulfur tolerances of different Ag/Al2O3-reductant systems for the SCR of NO x ; the low-temperature activity improvement of H2-assisted HC-SCR of NO x over Ag/Al2O3; and the application of a Ag/Al2O3-ethanol SCR system with a heavy-duty diesel engine. The discussions are focused on the reaction mechanisms of different Ag/Al2O3-reductant systems and H2-assisted HC-SCR of NO x over Ag/Al2O3. A SO2-resistant surface structure in situ synthesized on Ag/Al2O3 by using ethanol as a reductant is proposed based on the study of the sulfate formation. These results provide new insight into the design of a high-efficiency NO x reduction system. The diesel engine bench test results showed that a Ag/Al2O3-ethanol system is promising for catalytic cleaning of NO x in diesel exhaust.  相似文献

Macro-/mesoporous Al2O3 supports were prepared by using monodisperse polystyrene (PS) microspheres as a template. The pore volume and BET surface area of the Al2O3 supports increased considerably with increasing amounts of the PS microspheres; further investigation showed that PS template only increased the volume of macro-pores but did not change the volume of meso-pores or micro-pores. Macro-/mesoporous Re2O7/Al2O3 metathesis catalysts were prepared through loading Re2O7 onto the as-prepared macro-/mesoporous Al2O3 supports, and their catalytic performance was tested in a fixed-bed tubular reactor using the metathesis of normal butylenes as a probe reaction. The results showed that the prepared macro-/mesoporous Re2O7/Al2O3 catalyst had high activity with consistent selectivity; propylene and pentene accounted for more than 90 wt% of the metathesis products, while the amount of ethylene plus hexane was less than 10 wt%, the majority of which was hexane. These Re2O7/Al2O3 catalysts had not only higher activity, but also longer working life span and higher tolerance to carbon residues than conventional Re2O7/Al2O3 catalysts.  相似文献

(1.2–8.3)%FeOх/Al2O3 monolith catalysts have been prepared by impregnating alumina with aqueous solutions of iron(III) nitrate and oxalate and have been tested in NH3 oxidation and in the selective decomposition of N2O in mixtures resulting from ammonia oxidation over a Pt–Rh gauze pack under conditions of nitric acid synthesis (800–900°C). In the case of the support calcined at 1200°C, the catalyst is dominated by bulk Fe2O3 particles localized on the Al2O3 surface. The activity of these samples in both reactions decreases with a decreasing active component content, thus limiting the potential of Fe2(C2O4)3 · 5H2O, an environmentally friendlier but poorly soluble compound, as a substitute for Fe(NO3)3 · 9H2O. Decreasing the support calcination temperature to 1000°C or below leads to the formation of a highly defective Fe–Al–O solid solution in the (1.2–2.7)%FeOх/Al2O3 catalysts. The surface layers of the solid solution are enriched with iron ions or stabilize ultrafine FeOх particles. The catalytic activity of these samples in both reactions is close to the activities measured for ~8%FeOх/Al2O3 samples prepared using iron nitrate.  相似文献

Liquid-phase reduction NO 3 using monometallic and bimetallic catalysts (5% Rh/Al2O3, 5% Rh-0.5% Cu/Al2O3, 5% Rh-1.5% Cu/Al2O3, 5% Rh-5% Cu/Al2O3 and a physical mixture of 5% Rh/Al2O3 and 1.5% Cu/Al2O3) was studied in a slurry reactor operating at atmospheric pressure. Kinetic measurements were performed for a low concentration of nitrate (0.4 × 10−3−3.2 × 10−3 mol dm−3) and the temperature range 293–313 K. From the experimental data, it was found that the reduction of nitrate is first order with respect to nitrate. On the basis of the rate constants, the apparent activation energy was established using a graphic method. Published in Russian in Kinetika i Kataliz, 2007, Vol. 48, No. 6, pp. 881–886. The effect of CeO2 on the properties of the Pd/Co3O4-CeO2/cordierite catalyst is a function of the method of its preparation. The catalyst obtained by the simultaneous deposition of cerium oxide and cobalt oxide showed high activity in the oxidation of CO (CO + O2, CO + NO) and extensive oxidation of hexane (C6H14 + O2). This behavior is due to the increased mobility of surface oxygen and increased dispersion of the catalyst components.  相似文献

Glass formation boundaries in the Al2(SO4)3-Al(NO3)3-H2O system were determined. IR spectra were studied. Schemes of structural rearrangements within the boundaries of a second glass formation region in the Al(NO3)3-H2O binary subsystem are suggested. A structure is suggested for glassy Al(NO3)3H2O.  相似文献

Gold catalysts with loadings ranging from 0.5 to 7.0 wt% on a ZnO/Al2O3 support were prepared by the deposition–precipitation method (Au/ZnO/Al2O3) with ammonium bicarbonate as the precipitation agent and were evaluated for performance in CO oxidation. These catalysts were characterized by inductively coupled plasma-atom emission spectrometry, temperature programmed reduction, and scanning transmission electron microscopy. The catalytic activity for CO oxidation was measured using a flow reactor under atmospheric pressure. Catalytic activity was found to be strongly dependent on the reduction property of oxygen adsorbed on the gold surface, which related to gold particle size. Higher catalytic activity was found when the gold particles had an average diameter of 3–5 nm; in this range, gold catalysts were more active than the Pt/ZnO/Al2O3 catalyst in CO oxidation. Au/ZnO/Al2O3 catalyst with small amount of ZnO is more active than Au/Al2O3 catalyst due to higher dispersion of gold particles.  相似文献

Dissolution of vanadium in anhydrous HNO3 followed by exposure of the solution in a dessicator over P2O5 gave liquid vanadyl trinitrate (I). The X-ray diffraction analysis of I was carried out for a single crystal grown on cooling the liquid in a sealed capillary. The structure is composed of VO(NO)3 molecules in which the V atom has an unusually high C.N. 7; it coordinates the terminal O atom and three bidentate nitrate groups to form a distorted pentagonal bipyramid as the coordination polyhedron with the terminal O atom occupying one axial vertex. Using the GAMESS program package, ab initio calculation of the structure of VO (NO3)3 in the liquid phase was carried out. It was shown that in all three physical states, vanadyl trinitrate retains its molecular structure almost invariable. Toluene and naphthalene nitration using I and (NO2)[Fe(NO3)4], NO[Cu(NO3)3], (NO)3/4(NO2)1/4[Zr(NO3)5], and MoO2(NO3)2 proceeds at high rates at low temperatures to give an unusually high para-nitrotoluene percentage in the products as compared with the ortho-isomer. The activity of the studied compounds in the nitration of naphthalene decreases in the series VO(NO3)3 > (NO)3/4(NO2)1/4[Zr(NO3)5] > MoO2(NO3)2.  相似文献

Trimetallic NiMoW/Al2O3 catalyst was prepared using mixed H4SiMo3W9O40 heteropoly acid of Keggin structure and nickel citrate. Bimetallic NiMo/Al2O3 and NiW/Al2O3 catalysts based on H4SiMo12O40 and H4SiW12O40, respectively, were synthesized as reference samples. The use of mixed H4SiMo3W9O40 heteropoly acid as an oxide precursor allows the tungsten sulfidation degree and the degree of promotion of active phase particles to be increased. The hydrodesulfurization activity is enhanced as compared to NiW/Al2O3 catalyst. The synergistic enhancement of the activity of the NiMo3W9/Al2O3 catalyst relative to the bimetallic analogs is probably caused by formation of new mixed promoted active sites for direct desulfurization.  相似文献

Global warming, fossil fuel depletion and fuel price increases have motivated scientists to search for methods for the storage and reduction of the amount of greenhouse gases, especially CO2. The hydrogenation process has been introduced as an emerging method of CO2 capture and convertion into value-added products. In this study, new types of catalysts are introduced for CO2 hydrogenation and are compared based on catalytic activity and product selectivity. The physical properties of the samples are specified using BET. Iron catalysts supported on γ-Al2O3 with different metal promoters (X = Ni, K, Mn, Cu) are prepared through the impregnation method. Moreover, Fe–Ni catalysts supported on HZSM5-Al2O3 and Ce–Al2O3 are synthesized. Samples are reduced by pure H2 and involved in hydrogenation reaction in a fixed bed reactor (H2/CO2 = 3, total pressure = 10 MPa, temperature = 523 K, GHSV = 2000, 1250 nml/min). All catalysts provide high conversion in hydrogenation reactions and the results illustrate that the selectivity of light hydrocarbons is higher than that of methane and CO. It is found that Ni has a promoting effect on the conversion fluctuations throughout the reaction with 66.13% conversion. Using combined supported catalysts leads to enhancing catalytic performance. When Fe–Ni/γ–Al2O3—HZSM5 is utilized, CO2 conversion is 81.66% and the stability of the Fe–Ni catalyst supported on Al2O3 and Ce–Al2O3 furthey improves.  相似文献

Changes in the chemical composition of the surface of a Pt/(BaCO3 + CeO2) model NO x storage-reduction catalyst upon its interaction with SO x (SO2 (260 Pa) + O2 (2600 Pa) + H2O (525 Pa)) followed by regeneration in a mixture of CO (2100 Pa) with H2O (525 Pa) were studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Model catalyst samples were prepared as a thin film (about several hundreds of angstrom units in thickness) on the surface of tantalum foil coated with a layer of aluminum oxide (~100 Å). It was found that the Pt/BaCO3 and Pt/CeO2 catalyst constituents acquired different surface charges (differential charging) in the course of photoelectron emission; because of this, it was possible to determine the nature of surface compounds formed as a result of the interaction of the catalyst with a reaction atmosphere. It was found that barium carbonate was converted into barium sulfate as a result of reaction with SO x on the surface of BaCO3 at 150°C. As the treatment temperature in SO x was increased to 300°C, the formation of sulfate on the surface of CeO2 was observed. The sulfatization of CeO2 was accompanied by the reduction of Ce(IV) to Ce(III). The regeneration reaction of the catalyst treated in SO x at 300°C resulted in the consecutive decomposition of cerium(III) sulfate at ≤500°C and then barium sulfate at 600–700°C. Upon the decomposition of BaSO4, a portion of sulfur was converted into a sulfide state, probably, because of the formation of BaS.  相似文献

A series of cobalt-containing granulated and structured catalysts based on zirconium and aluminum oxides has been studied. The optimum composition of binary oxide samples (80% ZrO2 − 20% Al2O3) for the selective reduction of nitrogen monoxide with methane (84% conversion of NO achieved at 320 °C) has been determined. The activity of the structured catalysts depends on both the composition of the secondary carrier (ZrO2, Al2O3, and their mixture) and on the nature of the skeleton of the cellular structure (cordierite, kaolin-aerosil). __________ Translated from Teoreticheskaya i éksperimental’naya Khimiya, Vol. 43, No. 4, pp. 237–241, July–August, 2007.  相似文献

The comparative study of the role of binary oxide support on catalyst physico-chemical properties and performance in methanol synthesis were undertaken and the spinel like type structures (ZnAl2O4, FeAlO3, CrAl3O6) were prepared and used as the supports for 5% metal (Cu, Ag, Au, Ru) dispersed catalysts. The monometallic 5% Cu/support and bimetallic 1% Au (or 1% Ru)-5% Cu/support (Al2O3, ZnAl2O4, FeAlO3, CrAl3O6) catalysts were investigated by BET, XRD and TPR methods. Activity tests in methanol synthesis of CO and CO2 mixture hydrogenation were carried out. The order of Cu/support catalysts activity in methanol synthesis: CrAl3O{ia6} > FeAlO3 > ZnAl2O4 is conditioned by their reducibility in hydrogen at low temperature. Gold appeared more efficient than ruthenium in promotion of Cu/support catalysts. Published in Russian in Kinetika i Kataliz, 2009, Vol. 50, No. 2, pp. 242–248. Со-Мо/Al2O3 and Ni-W/Al2O3 catalysts were tested in hydrotreating of light cycle oil from catalytic cracking, of the straight-run gasoil, and of their mixture under typical hydrotreating conditions used in industry. The catalysts prepared using PMo12 and PW12 heteropoly acids exhibit high catalytic activity. The Со-Мо/Al2O3 catalyst is more active in hydrodesulfurization and hydrogenation of olefin and diene hydrocarbons, whereas the Ni-W/Al2O3 catalysts are more active in hydrogenation of mono- and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Comparison of the quality characteristics of the hydrogenizates obtained with the requirements of the technical regulations shows that the required levels of the sulfur content and cetane number of the hydrogenizates at practically accessible process parameters can be reached for mixtures of the straight-run gasoil and light cycle oil from catalytic cracking with high content of the latter component only when the process with the Со-Мо/Al2O3 system and Ni-W/Al2O3 catalysts is performed in two steps.  相似文献

Glasses have been synthesized in the system SiO2–Al2O3–Na2O–AlF3–LaF3–Er2O3. A base glass (in mol% 67SiO2–9Al2O3–20Na2O–Al2F6–3La2F6) was modified by 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.25, 1.5, 2 and 5 mol% Er2O3, respectively. Glasses were prepared by conventional fusion method from 20 g batches. The glass transition temperature (T g), the jump-like changes of the specific heat (ΔC p) accompanying the glass transition and the enthalpy of crystallization (ΔH) were calculated. DTA measurements clearly reveal that the increase of the Er2O3 content in the glass changes the effects of crystallization and diminishes the thermal stability of the glassy network. In the same time the changes in the transition temperature are observed. The formation of NaLaF4 and Na1.45La9.31(SiO4)6(F0.9O1.1) as a main phase was confirmed. The diminishing of the thermal stability was connected with erbium which incorporated into Na1.45La9.31(SiO4)6(F0.9O1.1) structure.  相似文献
