Truncation Error on Wavelet Sampling Expansions

We estimate the truncation error of sampling expansions on translationinvariant spaces, generated by integer translations of a single functionand on wavelet subspaces of L ₂(R). As a byproduct of themain result, we get the classical Jagerman's bound for Shannon's samplingexpansions. We also examine this error on certain wavelet sampling expansions.     

On Sampling Stationary Stochastic Processes

A quasi Fourier-type duality associated with a bandlimited stationary stochastic process can be established. It comes from the spectral representation of the process and a compact support assumption for its spectral density. In this way, for essentially bounded spectral densities we have an isometry between a weightedL²space and the Hilbert space spanned by the process. We can transfer converging expansions for the exponential complex e^itw in the :L²-space into a sampling expansion for the process converging in the mean square sense.     

On the Reproducing Kernel Hilbert Spaces Associated with the Fractional and Bi-Fractional Brownian Motions

We present decompositions of various positive kernels as integrals or sums of positive kernels. Within this framework we study the reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces associated with the fractional and bi-fractional Brownian motions. As a tool, we define a new function of two complex variables, which is a natural generalization of the classical Gamma function for the setting we consider. D. On the Airy Reproducing Kernel, Sampling Series, and Quadrature Formula

We determine the class of entire functions for which the Airy kernel (of random matrix theory) is a reproducing kernel. We deduce an Airy sampling series and quadrature formula. Our results are analogues of well known ones for the Bessel kernel. The need for these arises in investigating universality limits for random matrices at the soft edge of the spectrum. Generalized sampling in shift invariant spaces with frames

Generalized sampling in a shift invariant subspace V of L2 (R) is considered. A function f in V is processed with different filters Lm and then one tries to reconstruct f from the samples Lmf (j'k). We develop a theory of how to do this in the case when V possesses a shift invariant frame. Special attention is paid to the question: How to obtain dual frames with compact support?

Necessary and Sufficient Conditions for the Boundedness of the Riesz Potential in Local Morrey-type Spaces

The problem of the boundedness of the Riesz potential I _α , 0 < α < n, in local Morrey-type spaces is reduced to the boundedness of the Hardy operator in weighted L _p -spaces on the cone of non-negative non-increasing functions. This allows obtaining sufficient conditions for the boundedness in local Morrey-type spaces for all admissible values of the parameters.
