A novel route has been developed to synthesize sub-micron Zinc Selenide semiconductor particles through elemental solvothermal process. Transparent polyvinyl alcohol matrix was chosen as host material for embedding these ZnSe particles in order to stop agglomeration of the particles as well as to facilitate optical characterization. Structural and morphological characterizations were carried out through high resolution electron microscopy and UV-vis spectroscopy. In order to understand light scattering phenomena of these particles, they were investigated by a custom made set up which uses a He-Ne laser of wavelength 632.8nm and an array of Silicon photodetectors. An attempt was made to experimentally determine the most significant element of the Mueller scattering matrix. Novel computational technique, involving single scattering for spherical particles using T-matrix theory was applied. The analysis of the experimental data was done by the method of comparison with theoretically generated data. The theoretical prediction was found to agree well qualitatively with the experimental data. Our results validitate that within an acceptable margin of error of the experimental results, the combination of experimental setup and associated computational method is an efficient and reliable in-situ system for size quantification of sub- micron semiconductor particles in the laboratory.  相似文献

悬浊液光谱透射法测量烟尘粒子的复折射率   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
光谱复折射率是计算烟尘粒子散射特性的重要参数。该文在光谱透射法反演烟尘粒子复折射率理论的基础上,将烟尘粒子弥散于水中形成烟尘粒子悬浊液,通过可见光分光光度计测量该悬浊液的光谱透射率,通过激光粒度仪获得烟尘粒子的粒径分布,利用悬浊液光谱透射法对烟尘粒子的复折射率进行了反演。研究结果表明,烟尘粒子在可见光波长范围内没有明显吸收带,但随着波长的增加,透过率逐渐降低。烟尘粒子复折射率的反演结果与KBr样片法的反演结果吻合较好。利用悬浊液光谱透射法测量烟尘粒子的复折射率,实验过程简单,约束条件少,并可利用红外分光光度计测量透射率后,拓展至红外波段。  相似文献

A model for the direct problem of calculating the forward scattering signature of a multiple scattering medium is presented. The new formulation is optimized for integration into schemes for reconstructing the particle size distribution from laser diffraction (forward scattering) signatures obtained from optically thick media. The analysis is valid for media where the particle sizes and interparticle spacings are large (relative to the wavelength and the particle size, respectively) such that Fraunhofer diffraction theory adequately describes the properties of the forward scattered light from individual scattering events. The simulated performance of laser diffraction particle sizing instruments was then studied using predictions of the scattered light signatures which would be measured by laser diffraction instrument under multiple scattering conditions. The results were compared with experimental data and theoretical calculations based on other models.  相似文献

The laser light scattering pattern in a wide angle is measured using a system designed and constructed to employ a linear 512-photodiode array for the morphological investigation of single microscopic particles and biological cells. The experimental intensity distribution exhibits a fairly good correlation with the size and structure of the microscopic object. The method is applicable to the real-time morphological analysis of individual biological cells in a flow system.  相似文献

 对液体抛撒的液滴尺寸进行研究在军事和民用上是很重要的,国内刚开始使用激光散射仪开展此项研究工作。利用R. A. Dobbins等人的液体颗粒测量技术,研制了一套既简单又实用的测量液体抛撒过程中液滴尺寸的实验装置——激光散射仪。对于激光与液体微粒的相互作用,当微粒的反射与折射和吸收效应可被忽略时,可导出液体微粒对激光散射的光强公式。只要测量激光被微粒散射的光强,就可推算出微粒的Sauter平均直径。在使用激光散射仪测量液体抛撒液滴尺寸的实验中,用水代替爆炸抛撒液体,测量结果表明:液体抛撒二次破碎中,在固定位置测量到的云雾区液滴Sauter平均直径随测量时间的增加呈现出减小的趋势;而云雾区的宽度则随着与抛撒中心距离的增大而呈现出增加的趋势;云雾区前沿的液滴Sauter平均直径随着与抛撒中心距离的增加而呈现出先逐渐增大然后迅速减小的趋势。为便于比较,对燃料抛撒二次破碎进行了回收法测量和数值模拟计算,其测量与计算结果与用激光散射仪测量的结果有较好的一致性。  相似文献

详细介绍了气溶胶大气粒子经过两个激光束后通过雪崩二极管(APD)探测其形成的双峰信号,从而得到气溶胶粒子飞行时间的方法,利用标准粒子对飞行时间进行校准后,实现了对大气气溶胶粒子直径的实时监测.通过不同粒径多组的实验数据进行分析组成专家模式,代入系统进行空气测量或标准粒子测量,得到的实验值与理论值一致.  相似文献

In this paper the electromagnetic similitudes for lossy and dispersive system are discussed. If both the geometric size of an object and incident wavelength are scaling-down simultaneously by analogy with microwave band, the inconsistencies exist for laser scattering in visible and near infrared bands. Another method of measurements and simulation for laser scattering in the geometric model is analyzed. That is, the geometric size of the object is only scaled down but the incident wavelength, material and configuration are keeping to not change. Although this way does not satisfy the principles of the electrodynamic similitude, it can overcome the electromagnetic inconsistencies for laser scattering. It is possible that the LRCS of the full-scale tested object are evaluated by those of the corresponding scaling-down model at identical frequency to establish theoretical models and data basis for LRCS of objects.  相似文献

We have investigated the influence of scatterer size changes on the laser light diffusion, induced by collimated monochromatic laser irradiation, in tissue-like optical phantoms using diffuse-reflectance imaging. For that purpose, three-layer optical phantoms were prepared, in which nano- and microsphere size varied in order to simulate the scattering properties of healthy and cancerous urinary bladder walls. The informative areas of the surface diffuse-reflected light distributions were about 15×18 pixels for the smallest scattering particles of 0.05 μm, about 21×25 pixels for the medium-size particles of 0.53 μm, and about 25×30 pixels for the largest particles of 5.09 μm. The computation of the laser spot areas provided useful information for the analysis of the light distribution with high measurement accuracy of up to 92%. The minimal stability of 78% accuracy was observed for superficial scattering signals on the phantoms with the largest particles. The experimental results showed a good agreement with the results obtained by the Monte Carlo simulations. The presented method shows a good potential to be useful for a tissue-state diagnosis of the urinary bladder.  相似文献

The transmission of very slow neutrons through a colloidal dispersion of silica particles was investigated at the FRM reactor, Munich. The experimental transmission shows a characteristic wavelength dependence which permits one to deduce several characteristic parameters of the scattering zones, in particular their size and number. The experimental results obtained are consistent with the known data for the substance chosen. This indicates that the simple method of very slow neutron transmission may be applied in certain cases as an alternative to the well-established techniques of X-ray or neutron small-angle scattering.Work supported by the Bundesministerium für Forschung und Technologie  相似文献

为实现利用光学方式对微纳尺度粒子性质的研究,探讨了亚微米线及亚微米球对光电磁波的散射效应.微纳米尺度粒子的光学散射,散射粒子尺寸与入射光波长尺寸可满足米氏(Mie)散射条件.利用Matlab数值模拟的方式,将分析结果以模拟图的形式清晰地展现出来.满足尺寸条件的层状粒子以及任意多个散射粒子存在时对电磁波的散射都可采用Mie散射分析方法,并且针对多粒子散射,分析了散射体位于不同位置时对散射造成的影响.通过分析光学散射光场相关的微分散射截面及近场散射电磁场分布,可得出散射光场随散射角度的变化趋势,以及散射光场受各类因素的影响,包括入射光偏振态、散射粒子尺寸、散射粒子结构及粒子构成层数、散射粒子数量等的影响,也包括一些隐含因素对散射光场的影响,如散射粒子与周围介质的相对折射率.本文的科学意义体现在:与入射光波长尺寸可比的亚微米尺度的粒子,可用作传感器,对于其位移的探测可通过光学方式来实现,而由于粒子本身特性对散射光的影响具有一定的参考价值,从而使通过光学方式对机械位移的读出具有更高准确度.研究结果对于光学方式探测亚微米线机械振动具有指导意义.  相似文献

用时域有限差分法研究了同一材质的颗粒在不同填充密度下的随机介质中光局域化问题. 依据随机介质激光的实验参数,模拟了颗粒填充密度不同的随机介质中光场的空间分布. 结果表明:当散射颗粒的散射平均自由程与波长相当时,随机介质中的光场分布呈现局域化的特征,而且随着颗粒填充密度增大,光场的局域化程度增强. 因此,在同样的抽运激励下,颗粒填充密度越大的随机增益介质越容易产生激光辐射. 数值模拟结果与实验定性符合. 关键词: 随机激光 时域有限差分法 颗粒填充密度 局域化  相似文献

The concept of a pulsed bistatic lidar for measuring water cloud particle size is presented. The method uses a two-color laser and a receiver with a polarization analyzer located at a suitable scattering angle. The dependence of Mie scattering on scattering angle, wavelength, and polarization is used to derive water cloud droplet size. The measurement was simulated for the C1 and C2 clouds, and the technique for determining mode radius was studied. The result shows the lidar system with a two-wavelength laser (1064 nm and 532 nm) and a dual-polarization receiver fixed at a scattering angle of around 178 deg can be used to measure a cloud particle size (mode radius) of 4 to 12 μm. Evaluation of the effect of multiple scattering showed that the method can be applied not only for the measurement at the cloud base but also in the cloud where multiple scattering is not negligible.  相似文献

采用蒙特卡罗方法根据团簇—团簇凝聚(CCA)模型对由球形原始微粒凝聚而成的烟尘团簇粒子进行了模拟,利用离散偶极子近似(DDA)方法数值计算了不同原始微粒粒径和数目组成的随机取向的烟尘团簇粒子的总消光截面、吸收截面及散射截面等光学特性参数,研究了原始微粒粒径及数目对随机取向烟尘团簇粒子光学特性的影响。结果表明:当入射波长一定时,随机取向烟尘団簇粒子的光学特性主要取决于原始微粒的粒径和数目;烟尘团簇粒子对不同波段激光的吸收和散射存在差别,这种差别随原始微粒粒径及数目变化而变化。这一工作为研究电磁波在烟尘中的传输特性提供重要参考数据。  相似文献

Dynamic light scattering signals from particles, exhibit fractal characteristics. This feature can be used to determine the particle size. The use of the fractal dimension, as a quantitative method to analyze the properties of dynamic light scattering signals from submicron particles, is presented. The analysis is performed directly on the time‐resolved scattered intensity, and the Box Dimensions of light scattering signals of particles with diameters 100, 200, 500 and 1000 nm. The experimental results show that the fractal dimensions of light scattering signals correlate well with particle size. In the submicron size range, the smaller the particles, the larger their fractal dimensions. Compared with the PCS technique, only several hundreds of samples are required in the fractal method. Therefore, the data processing is easily accomplished. However, this method only provides the mean particle size, but not the particle size distribution.  相似文献

Optical characteristics, namely, dispersion and absorption spectra of an ensemble of spherical particles randomly oriented inside an optical cavity are investigated. The study is based on the self-consistent matching of new data from the inhomogeneous optical cavity with data from the scattering of an ensemble of spherical particles of different size, randomly oriented in free space. As a result, a new model, which self-consistently accounts for multiple scattering in the optical cavity, has been developed to predict absorption and dispersion of ensembles of spherical particles. This model is supposed to enhance potentiality of the intracavity method for plotting wavelength dependences of optical characteristics of media. A specific calculation of dispersion and absorption dependences on the wavelength shows that this method can be used for investigation of biological media consisting of spherical particles, in particular, erythrocyte suspension.  相似文献

Theoretical and experimental results on the heating process of gold nanoparticles irradiated by nanosecond laser pulses are presented. The efficiency of particle heating is demonstrated by in-vitro photothermal therapy of human tumor cells. Gold nanoparticles with diameters of 40 and 100 nm are added as colloid in the cell culture and the samples are irradiated by nanosecond pulses at wavelength of 532 nm delivered by Nd:YAG laser system. The results indicate clear cytotoxic effect of application of nanoparticle as more efficient is the case of using particles with diameter of 100 nm. The theoretical analysis of the heating process of nanoparticle interacting with laser radiation is based on the Mie scattering theory, which is used for calculation of the particle absorption coefficient, and two-dimensional heat diffusion model, which describes the particle and the surrounding medium temperature evolution. Using this model the dependence of the achieved maximal temperature in the particles on the applied laser fluence and time evolution of the particle temperature is obtained.  相似文献

基于T矩阵法, 选取双波长入射光, 对火灾烟颗粒与非火灾烟雾颗粒的光散射矩阵进行了详细的数值计算和比较分析. 结果表明, 入射光波长改变时, 烟颗粒光散射矩阵元素的变化明显不同于非火灾烟雾颗粒. 选用双波长脉冲激光入射, 通过检测合适的光散射矩阵元, 结合异或逻辑运算, 可区分火灾烟雾颗粒和非火灾烟雾颗粒, 降低非火灾烟雾颗粒引起的误报.  相似文献

Different methods for characterizing the morphology of multiphase blends were applied to a blend of thermoplastic polyurethane with 20 wt% polypropylene as the dispersed phase. Optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and light scattering were compared. The microscopy methods were evaluated with respect to their suitability for quantitative image analysis for determination of the particle size distribution. Comparison of the particle size distributions revealed that the dependence of the measured particle size on the method of preparation and technique was not very pronounced. The main difference resulted from cutting the particles outside their maximum diameter. The measured particle sizes determined with methods that analyze the whole particles, such as SEM on separated particles and laser light scattering, are larger than those measured on cut specimens. The factor 4/π valid in monodisperse systems for the ratio between the real particle size and that measured on sections was found also to be applicable to this polydisperse blend system. Although light micros-copy requires the least preparation efforts, it is a reliable method for this blend system.  相似文献

针对激光散射法测量0.1 m~10 m微小球形颗粒过程中,Mie散射理论各参数的分析、计算、最优化选取比较复杂和繁琐,通过收敛速度、折射率和尺度参数测量范围、叠加次数的比较,采用球形粒子Mie散射参量的MATLAB改进算法, 结合MATLAB较强的计算能力和LabVIEW良好的图形化界面,进行LabVIEW和MATLAB混合编程。设计了Mie散射理论参数分析系统,系统实现散射系数的计算,并分别对散射系数与颗粒直径关系曲线、散射强度分布曲线、入射光波长与散射光强关系曲线、颗粒直径与散射光强关系曲线、入射光偏振角与散射光强关系曲线进行分析。通过实验结果和结论对比验证系统可行,且散射系数、消光系数和散射光强的计算结果可精确到小数点后17位,从而达到减少大量计算和编程工作的目的。  相似文献
