In this paper, we study a class of nonlinear operator equations x = Ax + x 0 on ordered Banach spaces, where A is a monotone generalized concave operator. Using the properties of cones and monotone iterative technique, we establish the existence and uniqueness of solutions for such equations. In particular, we do not demand the existence of upper-lower solutions and compactness and continuity conditions. As applications, we study first-order initial value problems and two-point boundary value problems with the nonlinear term is required to be monotone in its second argument. In the end, applications to nonlinear systems of equations and to nonlinear matrix equations are also considered.  相似文献

The paper studies the global existence, asymptotic behavior and blowup of solutions to the initial boundary value problem for a class of nonlinear wave equations with dissipative term. It proves that under rather mild conditions on nonlinear terms and initial data the above-mentioned problem admits a global weak solution and the solution decays exponentially to zero as t→+∞, respectively, in the states of large initial data and small initial energy. In particular, in the case of space dimension N=1, the weak solution is regularized to be a unique generalized solution. And if the conditions guaranteeing the global existence of weak solutions are not valid, then under the opposite conditions, the solutions of above-mentioned problem blow up in finite time. And an example is given.  相似文献

This is the third part of an article that is devoted to the theory of non‐linear initial boundary value problems. We consider coupled systems where each system is of higher order and of hyperbolic or parabolic type. Our goal is to characterize systematically all admissible couplings between systems of higher order and different type. By an admissible coupling we mean a condition that guarantees the existence, uniqueness and regularity of solutions to the respective initial boundary value problem. In part 1, we develop the underlying theory of linear hyperbolic and parabolic initial boundary value problems. Testing the PDEs with suitable functions we obtain a priori estimates for the respective solutions. In particular, we make use of the regularity theory for linear elliptic boundary value problems that was previously developed by the author. In part 2, we prove the local in time existence, uniqueness and regularity of solutions to quasilinear initial boundary value problems using the so‐called energy method. In the above sense the regularity assumptions about the coefficients and right‐hand sides define the admissible couplings. In part 3 at hand, we extend the results of part 2 to the nonlinear initial boundary value problem (4.2). In particular, assumptions (B8) and (B9) about the respective parameters correspond to the previous regularity assumptions and hence define the admissible couplings now. Moreover, we exploit assumptions (B8) and (B9) for the case of two coupled systems. Copyright © 2002 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We investigate nonlinear pseudodifferential equations with infinitely many derivatives. These are equations of a new class, and they originally appeared in p-adic string theory. Their investigation is of interest in mathematical physics and its applications, in particular, in string theory and cosmology. We undertake a systematic mathematical investigation of the properties of these equations and prove the main uniqueness theorem for the solution in an algebra of generalized functions. We discuss boundary problems for bounded solutions and prove the existence theorem for spatially homogeneous solutions for odd p. For even p, we prove the absence of a continuous nonnegative solution interpolating between two vacuums and indicate the possible existence of discontinuous solutions. We also consider the multidimensional equation and discuss soliton and q-brane solutions.  相似文献

The exhaustive group classification of a class of variable coefficient generalized KdV equations is presented, which completes and enhances results existing in the literature. Lie symmetries are used for solving an initial and boundary value problem for certain subclasses of the above class. Namely, the found Lie symmetries are applied in order to reduce the initial and boundary value problem for the generalized KdV equations (which are PDEs) to an initial value problem for nonlinear third-order ODEs. The latter problem is solved numerically using the finite difference method. Numerical solutions are computed and the vast parameter space is studied.  相似文献

Orbits of charged particles under the effect of a magnetic field are mathematically described by magnetic geodesics. They appear as solutions to a system of (nonlinear) ordinary differential equations of second order. But we are only interested in periodic solutions. To this end, we study the corresponding system of (nonlinear) parabolic equations for closed magnetic geodesics and, as a main result, eventually prove the existence of long time solutions. As generalization one can consider a system of elliptic nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) whose solutions describe the orbits of closed p-branes under the effect of a “generalized physical force”. For the corresponding evolution equation, which is a system of parabolic nonlinear PDEs associated to the elliptic PDE, we can establish existence of short time solutions.  相似文献

The method of simplest equation is powerful tool for obtaining exact and approximate solutions of nonlinear PDEs. Here we extend the class of equations which can be treated by the method in such a way that the classes of equations considered in our previous work are particular cases of the extended class of equations. As examples for application of the methodology we obtain exact traveling-wave solutions of the generalized Degasperis–Processi equation and of the b-equation. As simplest equations we use the equations of Bernoulli and Riccati. We investigate the possibility for obtaining these solutions also by means of the exp-function method. This lead us to propose a generalized version of the exp-function method in Section 5.  相似文献

In this article, the second-order nonlinear impulsive evolution differential equations with time-varying generating operators is considered. Constructing evolution systems generated by time-varying operator matrix, we introduce suitable mild solution of the second-order nonlinear impulsive evolution differential equations. The existence and uniqueness of the mild solutions and the continuous dependence on initial value are proved. The existence of the optimal controls for a Lagrange problem of the systems governed by the second-order nonlinear impulsive evolution equations is also presented. An example is given for demonstration.  相似文献

This paper presents a partial classification for C type-changing symplectic Monge-Ampère partial differential equations (PDEs) that possess an infinite set of first-order intermediate PDEs. The normal forms will be quasi-linear evolution equations whose types change from hyperbolic to either parabolic or to zero. The zero points can be viewed as analogous to singular points in ordinary differential equations. In some cases, intermediate PDEs can be used to establish existence of solutions for ill-posed initial value problems.  相似文献

In this paper, we apply new results on variational relation problems obtained by D. T. Luc (J Optim Theory Appl 138:65–76, 2008) to generalized quasi-equilibrium problems. Some sufficient conditions on the existence of its solutions of generalized quasi-equilibrium problems are shown. As special cases, we obtain several results on the existence of solutions of generalized Pareto and weak quasi-equilibrium problems concerning C-pseudomonotone multivalued mappings. We deduce also some results on the existence of solutions to generalized vector Pareto and weakly quasivariational inequality and vector Pareto quasi-optimization problems with multivalued mappings.  相似文献

Abstract

In this article, we derive the existence and uniqueness of the solution for a class of generalized reflected backward stochastic differential equation involving the integral with respect to a continuous process, which is the local time of the diffusion on the boundary, in using the penalization method. We also give a characterization of the solution as the value function of an optimal stopping time problem. Then we give a probabilistic formula for the viscosity solution of an obstacle problem for PDEs with a nonlinear Neumann boundary condition.  相似文献

With the aid of symbolic computation, some algorithms are presented for the rational expansion methods, which lead to closed-form solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs). The new algorithms are given to find exact rational formal polynomial solutions of PDEs in terms of Jacobi elliptic functions, solutions of the Riccati equation and solutions of the generalized Riccati equation. They can be implemented in symbolic computation system Maple. As applications of the methods, we choose some nonlinear PDEs to illustrate the methods. As a result, we not only can successfully obtain the solutions found by most existing Jacobi elliptic function methods and Tanh-methods, but also find other new and more general solutions at the same time.  相似文献

Summary We study a large class of second order linear abstract differential equations, whose coefficients can be singular. In the framework of suitable « weighted » spaces, we prove some existence and uniqueness results for generalized and ordinary solutions of initial value problems for such equations. This work was partially supported by the G.N.A.F.A. and the Istituto di Analisi Numerica of the C.N.R. By using the Nash inequality and a monotonicity approximation argument, existence and uniqueness of strong solutions are proved for a class of non-monotone stochastic generalized porous media equations. Moreover, we prove for a large class of stochastic PDE that the solutions stay in the smaller L2-space provided the initial value does, so that some recent results in the literature are considerably strengthened.  相似文献

In this paper we discuss continuation properties and asymptotic behavior of -regular solutions to abstract semilinear parabolic problems in case when the nonlinear term satisfies critical growth conditions. A necessary and sufficient condition for global in time existence of -regular solutions is given. We also formulate sufficient conditions to construct a piecewise -regular solutions (continuation beyond maximal time of existence for -regular solutions). Applications to strongly damped wave equations and to higher order semilinear parabolic equations are finally discussed. In particular global solvability and the existence of a global attractor for in is achieved in case when a nonlinear term f satisfies a critical growth condition and a dissipativeness condition. Similar result is obtained for a 2mth order semilinear parabolic initial boundary value problem in a Hilbert space .  相似文献

In this paper we consider the well-posedness for a class of nonlinear integrodifferential equations of parabolic type. We use integral estimates to deduce an a priori estimate in the classical space C^{2+α,1+\frac{α}{2}}. The existence of the solution is established by means of the continuity method which is similar to a parabolic initial and boundary value problem. Moreover, the continuous dependence upon the data and the uniqueness of the solution are obtained. Finally, the results are generalized into a class of nonlinear integrodifferential systems.  相似文献

In this paper we study the initial boundary value problem for fourth order wave equations with nonlinear strain and source terms. First we introduce a family of potential wells and prove the invariance of some sets and vacuum isolating of solutions. Then we obtain a threshold result of global existence and nonexistence. Finally we discuss the global existence of solutions for the problem with critical initial condition I(u0)?0, E(0)=d. So the Esquivel-Avila's results are generalized and improved.  相似文献

In the half-strip 0 ≤ xh, t ≤ 0 we consider a mixed problem for an almost linear system of three first order PDEs, one of which does not involve derivatives with respect to t. We prove the existence and uniqueness of a generalized Holder continuous solution and generalized piecewise smooth and smooth solutions. For the piecewise smooth solution we prove the stabilization of some functionals as t → ∞.  相似文献
