Generalized B-vex functions and generalized B-vex programming

A class of functions called pseudo B-vex and quasi B-vex functions is introduced by relaxing the definitions of B-vex, pseudoconvex, and quasiconvex functions. Similarly, the class of B-invex, pseudo B-invex, and quasi B-invex functions is defined as a generalization of B-vex, pseudo B-vex, and quasi B-vex functions. The sufficient optimality conditions and duality results are obtained for a nonlinear programming problem involving B-vex and B-invex functions.The first author is thankful to the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada for financial support through Grant A-5319. Generalization of preinvex and B-vex functions

A class of functions called B-preinvex functions is introduced by relaxing the definitions of preinvex and B-vex functions. Examples are given to show that there exist functions which are B-preinvex but not preinvex or B-vex or quasipreinvex. Some of the properties of B-preinvex functions are obtained.The contribution of this author was made partially at University of Manitoba and partially at St. Lawrence University during the summer of 1990. Support for the visit to St. Lawrence University was made possible under the GTE/SLU Visiting Scholars Grant.     

Lipschitz B-Vex Functions and Nonsmooth Programming

In this paper, the equivalence between the class of B-vex functions and that of quasiconvex functions is proved. Necessary and sufficient conditions, under which a locally Lipschitz function is B-vex, are established in terms of the Clarke subdifferential. Regularity of locally Lipschitz B-vex functions is discussed. Furthermore, under appropriate conditions, a necessary optimality condition of the Slater type and a sufficient optimality condition are obtained for a nonsmooth programming problem involving B-vex functions.     

Nonconvex functions and variational inequalities

In this paper, we study some properties of a class of nonconvex functions, called semipreinvex functions, which includes the classes of preinvex functions and arc-connected convex functions. It is shown that the minimum of an arcwise directionally differentiable semi-invex functions on a semi-invex set can be characterized by a class of variational inequalities, known as variational-like inequalities. We use the auxiliary principle technique to prove the existence of a solution of a variational-like inequality and suggest a novel iterative algorithm.

A class of <Emphasis Type="Italic">r</Emphasis>-semipreinvex functions and optimality in nonlinear programming

In this paper, a class of functions, named as r-semipreinvex functions, which is generalization of semipreinvex functions and r-preinvex functions, is introduced. Example is given to show that there exists function which is r-semipreinvex function, but is not semipreinvex function. Furthermore, some basic characterizations of r-semipreinvex functions are established. At the same time, some optimality results are obtained in nonlinear programming problems.

Optimality conditions and duality for semi-infinite programming involving B-arcwise connected functions

In this paper, a class of functions called B-arcwise connected (BCN) and strictly B-arcwise connected (STBCN) functions are introduced by relaxing definitions of arcwise connected function (CN) and B-vex function. The differential properties of B-arcwise connected function (BCN) are studied. Their two extreme properties are proved. The necessary and sufficient optimality conditions are obtained for the nondifferentiable nonlinear semi-infinite programming involving B-arcwise connected (BCN) and strictly B-arcwise connected (STBCN) functions. Mond-Weir type duality results have also been established.     

Generalization of preinvex and B-vex fuzzy mappings

A class of fuzzy mappings, called B-preinvex, and strictly B-preinvex fuzzy mappings, is introduced by relaxing the definition of preinvexity of a fuzzy mapping. Similarly, based on a notion of differentiability of fuzzy mappings different from the usual one, the class of pseudo-B-vex, B-invex, and pseudo-B-invex fuzzy mappings is defined as a generalization of pseudo-convex, invex, and pseudo-invex fuzzy mappings. We prove that a strictly B-vex, or B-preinvex fuzzy mapping has at most one global minimum point, and that the class of B-vex fuzzy mappings forms a subset of the class of quasi-convex fuzzy mappings. B-vex (resp. B-preinvex) fuzzy mappings satisfy most of the basic properties of convex (resp. preinvex) fuzzy mappings. In addition characterizations and sufficient optimality conditions are obtained for B-vex and B-preinvex fuzzy mappings.

提出B-E-凸模糊映射的概念,并讨论了其一些性质,得到了这一类广义B-凸模糊映射的若干刻划定理,还讨论了这一类广义B-凸模糊映射在模糊优化中的应用,并得到了和最优解有关的一些结果。     

亚纯函数与其微分多项式的分担函数与正规族

设${\cal F}$为开平面内的区域$D$上的亚纯函数族, ${\cal F}$中任何函数$f(z)\in{\cal F}$, $f$的零点竽数至少为$k+1$.对于$D$内不等于零的解析函数$a(z)$.若$f(z)$与其微分多项式$D(f)$ IM分担$a(z)$,本文不仅得到${\cal F}$在$D$上正规, 而且得到相应于正规函数的结果.     

Indefinite integrals of products of special functions

A method is given for deriving indefinite integrals involving squares and other products of functions which are solutions of second-order linear differential equations. Several variations of the method are presented, which applies directly to functions which obey homogeneous differential equations. However, functions which obey inhomogeneous equations can be incorporated into the products and examples are given of integrals involving products of Bessel functions combined with Lommel, Anger and Weber functions. Many new integrals are derived for a selection of special functions, including Bessel functions, associated Legendre functions, and elliptic integrals. A number of integrals of products of Gauss hypergeometric functions are also presented, which seem to be the first integrals of this type. All results presented have been numerically checked with Mathematica.     

Lagrange multipliers and generalized differentiable functions in vector extremum problems

In this paper, we establish a necessary optimality condition for a nondifferentiable vector extremum problem which involves a generalized vector-valued Lagrangian function. Such a condition is stated for a wide class of functions, which embraces the differentiable ones and a subclass of locally Lipschitzian functions. The condition embodies the classic theorem of F. John in multiobjective optimization.This research was partially supported by the Ministry of Public Education, Rome, Italy.

分担函数集的正规定则

本文将亚纯函数正规性与分担函数集相结合,探讨了亚纯函数族F正规与F中任意两个函数f与g分担函数的个数,f与其导数f'分担函数的个数及函数f的重值的个数三者之间的关系,给出了一个综合判定亚纯函数族正规的充分条件.     

关于杨乐及Schwick的一结果

设ψ■0为复平面区域D内的只有单零点的全纯函数,k为正整数,F为区域D内的亚纯函数族.如果每个f∈F满足f≠0且只有重极点;对F内任一组函数f与g,f(k)与g(k)在D内分担ψ(z),则F在D内正规.     

Montel正规定则的推广(英文)

用简单的方法证明了全纯函数族的一个正规定则,推广了Montel正规定则.设F为区域D上的一个全纯函数族,其零点是重级的,a为有限复数.如果f,g∈F,有(f-1)f′与(g-1)g′分担a,则F正规.     

涉及分担函数的正规定则

设k为正整数,M为正数;F为区域D内的亚纯函数族,且其零点重级至少为k;h为D内的亚纯函数(h(z)≠0,∞),且h(z)的极点重级至多为k.若对任意给定的函数f∈F,f与f~((k))分担0,且f~((k))(z)-h(z)=0?|f(z)|≥M,则F在D内正规.
