We review the recent progress of the theoretical understanding of spin polarizabilities of the hyperon in the framework of SU(3) heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory (HBChPT). We present the results of a systematic leading-order calculation of hyperon Compton scattering and extract the forward spin polarizability (γ 0) of hyperons. The results obtained for γ 0 in the case of nucleons agree with the known results of SU(2) HBChPT when kaon loops are not considered.  相似文献

We will give a short introduction to the one-nucleon sector of chiral perturbation theory and will address the issue of a consistent power counting and renormalization. We will discuss the infrared regularization and the extended on-mass-shell scheme. Both allow for the inclusion of further degrees of freedom beyond pions and nucleons and the application to higher-loop calculations. As applications we consider the chiral expansion of the nucleon mass to order O(q6) and the inclusion of vector and axial-vector mesons in the calculation of nucleon form factors.  相似文献

Using the Ward-Takahashi identity, on-shell condition, bound Dirac equation and off-shell expansion, a reduced version of half off-shell virtual photon nucleon vertex has been suggested. The vertex are decomposed into several different order terms: the on-shell terms, first and second off-shell terms. The off-shell behaviour of the form factors is discussed in the one meson loop model. Using the reduced vertex and parametrized off-shell form factors the quasielastic response functions are calculated for several nuclei at ¦q¦–kf and for56Fe at large ¦q¦ up to 1.14 GeV/c and at ?q2=0.9 (GeV/c)2. The Coulomb sums are evaluated and a comparison of the theoretical prediction with data is given. The off-shell electron nucleon cross section is calculated and compared with the “cc1” off-shell extrapolation.  相似文献

We study electromagnetic form factors of nucleons within a relativistic three-quark model with a Gaussian shape for the nucleon-quark vertex. The allowed regions for two adjustable parameters, the range parameter Λ N in the Gaussian and the constituent quark mass m q , are obtained from fitting the data for magnetic moments and electromagnetic radii of nucleons. It is found that these observables, when calculated with m q = 420 MeV and Λ N = 1.25 GeV, agree very well with the experimental data. For these parameter values, however, our model underestimates the electromagnetic form factors of the nucleon at high momentum transfers for the calculated range O ≤ Q2≤ 1 GeV2. We point out that the recent data obtained by the NA35 collaboration at the CERN SPS on ET distributions in 16O + Pb collisions can be understood within the wounded nucleon model with a simple geometrical calculation of the number of interacting nucleons in 16O. Although the large ET trigger increases the average ET per final state hadron, we are unable to explain in this way the observed rather large value of this quantity.  相似文献

The electromagnetic form factors for pions and nucleons are considered within the model of quark-gluon strings, where the momentum-transfer dependence of hadronic form factors is determined by the intercepts of the corresponding Regge trajectories and by the Sudakov form factor. Analytic expressions found for form factors in the timelike region admit an analytic continuation to the spacelike region. The resulting form factors for pions and nucleons comply well with experimental data both for positive and for negative values of the squared momentum transfer q 2. It is shown that the distinctions between the absolute values of the pion and nucleon form factors F π(q 2), G m (q 2), and F 2(q 2) at positive values of q 2 and those at negative values of this variable are associated with the analytic properties of the double-logarithmic term in the exponent of the Sudakov form factor. The spin structure of the amplitudes for quark transitions into hadrons that is proposed in the present study makes it possible to describe fairly well available experimental data on the Pauli form factor F 2 and on the ratio G e /G m .  相似文献

We present arguments that QCD at low momenta is reduced to a simple theory given by a path integral over pion fields and quarks which obtain dynamical mass owing to chiral symmetry breaking. The dimensional quantities of this low-momenta theory are fixed through the ΛQCD parameter. The effective chiral lagrangian is given by a quark determinant in a background chiral field. Its properties are investigated both for slowly and rapidly varying pion fields. Though it satisfies requirements known from theory and phenomenology, it does not possess non-trivial soliton solutions. However we show that, at large Nc, nucleons correspond not to the local minimum of the effective chiral lagrangian but to a minimum of a more subtle quantity. In general, different functionals of the chiral field should be minimized, depending on the baryon charge of the system. We obtain a quantitative picture of nucleons as localized states of “constituent” quarks bound by a self-consistent pion field. Its properties, such as electromagnetic form factors, etc., are investigated in detail. We get very reasonable numerical values for the nucleon static properties.  相似文献

Two possible ways of extending Symanzik's improvement programme to lattice fermions namely improvement to first and second order in the lattice sppacing a are discussed. The corresponding lattice actions for fermions are constructed and tree-level improvement conditions are derived by considering “classical” improvement. The concept of “on-shell” improvement is generalized to the lattice fermions studied here and the free parameters are determined for O(a) and O(a2) on-shell improved actions to all orders of perturbation theory. No evidence is found that the complicated structure of the O(a2) on-shell improved action, especially thearising fermion contact terms can be removed beyond tree level. The effect of terms in the action that explicitly break chiral symmetry and therefore remove the phenomenon of species doubling are investigated by considering the energy-momentum relations of the arising tree-level improved actions. Our main result is that the O(a) improved action is a slightly modified Wilson fermion action can still be written with only nearest-neighbour fermion interactions.  相似文献

We first present a summary of the evidence from various sources for the existence in nucleon and deuteron optical potentials of a region of unexpectedly small imaginary potential or actual flux emission (negative imaginary potential) near the nuclear centre. For the case of nucleons scattering from 16O near 30 MeV we present a detailed analysis in terms of (a) an empirical Slj search followed by S-matrix to potential inversion, (b) simulation by l-dependence and (c) simulation by pickup coupling. We argue that, in the absence of precise measurements of spin-rotation observables, the best interpretation of the data based on a full exploitation of its information content implies strong l-dependence.  相似文献

The interaction of non-relativistic nucleons with relativistic electrons can be expressed by a Hamiltonian expanded in a power series of the recoil nucleon velocity. In this paper third- and fourth-order terms are calculated. Free electron-nucleon-scattering and quasi-free electron scattering on 12C are studied and results through various orders are compared with the relativistic formulae. A different off-shell behaviour of the relativistic approach is found, which is independent of the higher-order terms and seems responsible for the different results of knock-out reactions.  相似文献

Combining the spin-dependent dispersion GDH-sum rule, the isotopic-spin-dependent Cabibbo-Radicati sum rule, and the relativistic dipole-moment-fluctuation (i.e. generalized Gottfried) sum rule with the three valence quark configuration of nucleons taken into account for the composition of the ground and the excited states of the nucleon, the relevant moments of the distribution and correlation functions of the quark electric dipole moment operators in the nucleon ground state are expressed via the experimentally measurable nucleon resonance photo-excitation amplitudes. These functions are of interest for checking detailed quark-configuration structure of the nucleon state vector. Within the non-relativistic approach to photo-absorption sum rules for the 3N-nuclei a new σ–1 sum rule proposed which is based on general charge-symmetry (CS) consequences for the “CS-conjugated” triton and 3He.  相似文献

We discuss the implications of gauge invariance in the problem of the on-shell extrapolation of the electroproduction low-energy theorems. We show that there is an invariant amplitude which can be evaluated at the Breit threshold either using gauge invariance and on-shell dispersion relations or following the Fubini and Furlan [5] extrapolation method starting from the current-algebra low-energy value of the amplitude. Comparing the two expressions, we find a relation between the electromagnetic pion form factor, Fπ (k2), and the axial-vector nucleon form factors, gA (k2) and hA (k2).  相似文献

The self-consistent theory of the finite Fermi systems is outlined. This approach is based on the same Fermi liquid theory principles as the familiar theory for finite Fermi systems (FFS) by Migdal. We show that the basic Fermi system properties can be evaluated in terms of the quasiparticle Lagrangian Lq which incorporates the energy dependency effects. This Lagrangian is defined so that the corresponding Lagrange equations should coincide with the FFS theory equations of motion of the quasiparticles. The quasiparticle energy Eq defined in the terms of t he quasiparticle Lagrangian Lq according to the usual canonical rules is shown to be equal to the binding energy Eo of the system. For a given Lagrangian Lq the particle densities in nuclei, the nuclear single-particle spectra, the low-lying collective states (LCS) properties, and the amplitude of the interquasiparticle interaction are also evaluated. The suggested approach is compared with the Hartree-Fock theory with effective forces.  相似文献

The projectile-like fragments emitted in the40Ar +68Zn reaction performed at 14.6, 19.6, 27.6 and 35 MeV/nucleon are studied. Their energy spectra and angular distributions have been measured. Velocities, widths of the linear momentum distributions and cross sections have been deduced. The results are discussedi) in terms of transfer of a few nucleons and analysed with a diffractional model. They are consistent, for stripping reactions, with a direct transfer of nucleons and a target excitation yielding multiparticlemultihole configurations,ii) In terms of projectile fragmentation-like process with a modified abrasion model taking into account the energy separation of the participant nucleons. The projectile fragmentation-like process appears above 20 MeV/nucleon and strongly competes with transfer of nucleons at 35 MeV/nucleon. The evolution of the mechanisms with incident energy is discussed on the basis of the reduced widths of the linear momentum distributions and on those of velocities and cross sections.  相似文献

Effects related to the possible admixture of multiquark (mainly 12q) clusters (bags) in nuclei are discussed. In particular the differencies in theu- andd-quark distributions inNZnuclei are considered. The quark distribution function is assumed to consist of two components: the nucleon component and the bag one (mainly the 12q-bag). The yields ofπ-mesons and nucleons into the backward hemisphere are governed mainly by the contribution of the bag component. It comes from the available data on theπ +/π ? andn/p ratios that thed-quarks in the bag component of nuclei withN>Z are “more soft” than theu-quarks in contrast to the situation in the nucleon component. The manifestation of the latter effect in theA-dependence of the ratio of structure functionsR=F 2A(x)/F 2D(x) is also discussed.  相似文献

Recently (Efros et?al. in Phys Rev C81:034001, 2010) we have computed the 3He transverse response in the quasielastic region for momentum transfers up to 700?MeV/c using the AV18 potential with the UrbanaIX three body potential. These calculations were carried out in the active nucleon Breit (ANB) frame. Owing to the use of the ANB frame the disagreement of the conventional non-relativistic calculations with experiment has been removed for q values up to 500?MeV/c. However, for higher q values some disagreement still persists. In order to further study the issue we present here results for R T (q, ??) computed in the Breit and Lab frames with the use of the two-fragment model.  相似文献

We study the chiral behavior of the nucleon and Δ-isobar masses within a manifestly covariant chiral effective-field theory, consistent with the analyticity principle. We compute the πN and πΔ one-loop contributions to the mass and field-normalization constant, and find that they can be described in terms of universal relativistic loop functions, multiplied by appropriate spin, isospin and coupling constants. We show that these manifestly relativistic one-loop corrections, when properly renormalized, obey the chiral power-counting and vanish in the chiral limit. The results including only the πN-loop corrections compare favorably with the lattice QCD data for the pion-mass dependence of the nucleon and Δ masses, while inclusion of the πΔ loops tends to spoil this agreement.  相似文献

The amplitudes for elastic and inelastic proton scattering on the neutron-rich nucleus 15C (to its J ?? = 5/2+ level in the latter case) in inverse kinematics were calculated within Glauber diffraction theory. First- and second-order terms were taken into account in the multiple-scattering operator. The 15C wave function in the multiparticle shell model was used. This made it possible to calculate not only respective differential cross sections but also the contribution of proton scattering on nucleons occurring in different shells. The differential cross sections for elastic and inelastic scattering were calculated at the energies of 0.2, 0.6, and 1 GeV per nucleon.  相似文献

Using the interquark potential due to Bhaduri et al., the properties ofq 2 q ?2 systems are studied within a non-relativistic quark model. A systematics over the various flavorsu, d, s, c, b, over the total spinS and over the orbital angular momentumL=0, 1, 2, 3 is carried out, while the parity is taken as the natural one. Not only the spectrum, but also the decay properties of each state are evaluated and the wave functions are analyzed in term of dumbbell structure. We propose a number of new resonances which could have a very narrow width.  相似文献
