We study the proton magic O, Ca, Ni, Zr, Sn, and Pb isotope chains from the proton drip line to the neutron drip line with the relativistic continuum Hartree-Bogoliubov (RCHB) theory. Particulary, we study in detail the properties of even-even Ca isotopes due to the appearance of giant halos in neutron rich Ca nuclei near the neutron drip line. The RCHB theory is able to reproduce the experimental binding energiesE b and two neutron separation energiesS 2n very well. The predicted neutron drip line nuclei are28O,72Ca,98Ni,136Zr,176Sn, and266Pb. Halo and giant halo properties predicted in Ca isotopes withA>60 are investigated in detail through analysis of two neutron separation energies, nucleon density distributions, single particle energy levels, and the occupation probabilities of energy levels including continuum states. The spin-orbit splitting and the diffuseness of nuclear potential in these Ca isotopes, as well as the neighboring lighter isotopes in the drip line Ca region and find certain possibilities of giant halo nuclei in the Ne−Na−Mg drip line nuclei are also studied.  相似文献

Nuclear masses of even-even nuclei with the proton number 8≤Z≤50(O to Sn isotopes)from the proton drip line to neutron drip line are investigated using the triaxial relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov theory with the relativistic density functional PC-PK1.Further,the dynamical correlation energies(DCEs)associated with the rotational motion and quadrupole-shaped vibrational motion are taken into account by the five-dimensional collective Hamiltonian(5DCH)method.The root-mean-square deviation with respect to the experimental masses reduces from 2.50 to 1.59 MeV after the consideration of DCEs.The inclusion of DCEs has little influence on the position of drip lines, and the predicted numbers of bound even-even nuclei between proton and neutron drip lines from O to Sn isotopes are 569 and 564 with and without DCEs,respectively.  相似文献

Nuclear masses ranging from O to Ti isotopes are systematically investigated with relativistic continuum Hartree-Bogoliubov (RCHB) theory, which can provide a proper treatment of pairing correlations in the presence of the continuum. From O to Ti isotopes, there are 402 nuclei predicted to be bound by the density functional PC-PK1. For the 234 nuclei with mass measured, the root mean square (rms) deviation is 2.23 MeV. It is found that the proton drip-lines predicted with various mass models are roughly the same and basically agree with the observation. The neutron drip-lines predicted, however, are quite different. Due to the continuum couplings, the neutron drip-line nuclei predicted are extended further neutron-rich than other mass models. By comparison with finite-range droplet model (FRDM), the neutron drip-line nucleus predicted by RCHB theory has respectively 2(O), 10(Ne), 10(Na), 6(Mg), 8(Al), 6(Si), 8(P), 6(S), 14(K), 10(Ca), 10(Sc), and 12(Ti) more neutrons.  相似文献

We have made a detailed study of the ground-state properties of nuclei in the light-mass region with atomic numbers Z = 10–22 in the framework of the relativistic mean-field (RMF) theory. The nonlinear σω model with scalar self-interaction has been employed. The RMF calculations have been performed in an axially deformed configuration using the force NL-SH. We have considered nuclei about the stability line as well as those close to proton and neutron drip lines. It is shown that the RMF results provide good agreement with the available empirical data. The RMF predictions also show reasonably good agreement with those of the mass models. It is observed that nuclei in this mass region are found to possess strong deformations and exhibit shape changes all along the isotopic chains. The phenomenon of shape coexistence is found to persist near the stability line as well as near the drip lines. It is shown that the magic number N = 28 is quenched strongly, thus enabling the corresponding nuclei to assume strong deformations. Nuclei near the neutron and proton drip lines in this region are also shown to be strongly deformed.  相似文献

On the basis of the Hartree-Fock method with Skyrme forces of the Ska, SkM*, and Sly4 type, the position of the neutron drip line and the properties of neutron-rich lead isotopes are studied with allowance for deformations. It is shown that, in extremely neutron-rich nuclei, the neutron and proton density distributions are characterized by an anomalously large deformation parameter of β ~ 0.6. Also, nuclei of superdeformed lead isotopes have anomalously large root-mean-square radii. The existence of the isotopes 266–288Pb, which are stable to the emission of one neutron, is predicted.  相似文献

The N = 28 shell gap in sulfur, argon, calcium and titanium isotopes is investigated in the framework of relativistic continuum Hartree-Bogoliubov(RCHB) theory. The evolutions of neutron shell gap, separation energy, single particle energy and pairing energy are analyzed, and it is found that the N = 28 shell gap is quenched in sulfur isotopes but persists in argon, calcium and titanium isotopes. The evolution of the N = 28 shell gap in the N = 28 isotonic chain is discussed, and the erosion of the N = 28 shell gap is understood with the evolution of potential with proton number.  相似文献

The evolution of the low-lying E1 strength in proton-rich nuclei is analyzed in the framework of the self-consistent relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov model and the relativistic quasiparticle random-phase approximation (RQRPA). Model calculations are performed for a series of N=20 isotones and Z=18 isotopes. For nuclei close to the proton drip line, the occurrence of pronounced dipole peaks is predicted in the low-energy region below 10 MeV excitation energy. From the analysis of the proton and neutron transition densities and the structure of the RQRPA amplitudes, it is shown that these states correspond to the proton pygmy dipole resonance.  相似文献

The radial distributions of proton and neutron densities in the even–even isotopes 40?70Cа and 48?78Ni and the analogous distributions of neutron densities in the even–even isotopes 92?138Mo were calculated on the basis of the mean-fieldmodel involving a dispersive optical potential. The respective root-mean-square radii and neutron-skin thicknesses were determined for the nuclei under study. In N > 40 calcium isotopes, the calculated neutron root-mean-square radius exhibits a fast growth with increasing N, and this is consistent with the prediction of the neutron-halo structure in calcium isotopes near the neutron drip line.  相似文献

The properties of neutron-rich boron isotopes are studied in the relativistic continuum Hartree-Bogoliubov theory in coordinate space with NL-SH, PK1 and TM2 effective interactions. Pairing corrections are taken into account by a density dependent force of zero range. The binding energies calculated for these nuclei agree with the experimental data quite well. The neutron-rich nucleus 17B has been predicted to have a two-neutron halo structure in its ground state. The halo structure of 17B is reproduced in a self-consistent way, and this halo is shown to be formed by the valence neutron level 2s1/2.  相似文献

Positions of the proton and neutron drip lines and characteristics of the neutron-deficient and neutron-rich Fe and Ni isotopes have been studied by the Hartree-Fock method with the Skyrme forces (Ska, SkM*, Sly4) with allowance for deformation. Pairing was taken into account on the basis of the BCS approximation with the pairing constant G = (19.5/2)[1 ± 0.51(N ? Z)/A]. Manifestation of magic numbers for the nickel isotopes 48Ni, 56Ni, and 78Ni and for the nucleon-stable isotope 110Ni which is beyond the drip line is discussed.  相似文献

Ground-state properties of even-even nuclei were calculated over a broad region of mass numbers, including nuclei that contain a neutron excess in the vicinity of the neutron drip line. The calculation of the properties of such nuclei relied on the method of the relativistic and the nonrelativistic mean field and took into account the axial deformation of nuclei. Particular attention was given to nuclei beyond the theoretical neutron drip line, which form a peninsula of nuclei in the (N, Z) space at N = 184 that are stable against the emission of one or two neutrons.

The properties of neutron-rich Zr isotopes up to the neutron drip line and beyond it have been investigated on the basis of the Hartree-Fock method with the Skyrme forces (Ska, Sly4), taking into account the deformation. By the example of chains of Zr isotopes, good agreement is shown for the two-neutron separation energies and mean-square radii with the known results of Hartree-Fock-Bogolyubov calculations with the Sly4 forces. For the extremely neutron-rich Zr isotopes, states with very large deformation parameters (β ≈ 0.4?0.45) of neutron and proton density distributions can be realized. Beyond the neutron drip line with respect to emission of two neutrons, the existence of 150,152Zr isotopes, which are stable with respect to one-neutron emission, is predicted.  相似文献

The neutron and proton dispersive optical potential for the 208Pb nucleus has been determined for the energy region from–70 to +60 MeV and used to calculate the differential elastic scattering, the total interaction and reaction cross sections, as well as the single-particle characteristics, the neutron and charge densities, rms radii, and the thickness of the nucleus skin. The calculated results are in good agreement with the experimental data. The proton dispersive optical model potential for the spherical and close to spherical Pb isotopes within the neutron and proton drip lines has been obtained by a similar method. The calculation predicts a trend towards the growth of the proton particle-hole gap, which corresponds to Z = 82 shell closure as Z approaches the proton drip line.  相似文献

Based on the systematic investigation of the data available for nuclei with A≥ 40, a Z 1/3-dependence for the nuclear charge radii is shown to be superior to the generally accepted A 1/3 law. A delicate scattering of data around R c/Z 1/3 is inferred as owing to the isospin effect and a linear dependence of R c/Z 1/3 on N/Z (or (N - Z)/2) is found. This inference is well supported by the microscopic Relativistic Continuum Hartree-Bogoliubov (RCHB) calculation conducted for the proton magic Ca, Ni, Zr, Sn and Pb isotopes including the exotic nuclei close to the neutron drip line. With the linear isospin dependence provided by the data and RCHB theory, a new isospin-dependent Z 1/3 formula for the nuclear charge radii is proposed.
The ground state properties of even even O, Ne, Mg, Si, S, Ar, Ca and Ni isotopes were studied with the self consistent deformed relativistic mean field theory with NL3 parameter set. The calculated results of O and Mg isotopes were presented in detail. The calculated binding energies and the two neutron separation energies were in good agreement with experimental values. By examining the two neutron separation energies, it was suggested that 30O, 38Ne, 42Mg, 52Si, 54S, 60Ar, 80Ca and 98Ni are the two neutron drip line nuclei. We also briefly discussed the possible changes of neutron magic numbers in Ca and Ni isotopes. Key words: relativistic mean field; drip line nucleus; two neutron separation energy  相似文献

Properties of single- Λ and double- Λ hypernuclei for even-N Ca isotopes ranging from the proton dripline to the neutron dripline are studied using the relativistic continuum Hartree-Bogoliubov theory with a zero-range pairing interaction. Compared with ordinary nuclei, the addition of one or two Λ-hyperons lowers the Fermi level. The predicted neutron dripline nuclei are, respectively, 75 ΛCa and 76 Ca, as the additional attractive force provided by the Λ-N interaction shifts nuclei from outside to inside the dripline. Therefore, the last bound hypernuclei have two more neutrons than the corresponding ordinary nuclei. Based on the analysis of two-neutron separation energies, neutron single-particle energy levels, the contribution of continuum and nucleon density distribution, giant halo phenomena due to the pairing correlation, and the contribution from the continuum are suggested to exist in Ca hypernuclei similar to those that appear in ordinary Ca isotopes. The proton and neutron radii of even-even β-stable nuclei with A ⩾ 40 and a few chains of isotopes with Z = 50, 56, 82, 94 protons and isotones with N = 50, 82, 126 neutrons are analyzed. The average isospin dependence of the radii evaluated within the relativistic mean field theory is studied. A simple, phenomenological formula for neutron radii is proposed.  相似文献
