Review of Bell-CHSH type and entropic inequalities in composite quantum correlated systems in the probability representation of states is presented. The upper bounds for some new Bell-CHSH type inequalities within the framework of classical probability theory and in quantum tomography are compared. Violation of Bell-CHSH type inequalities are shown explicitly using the method of averaging in tomographic picture of quantum states. Joint tomographic entropies of multiqubit systems are studied. Limitations on inequalities for tomographic entropies are obtained. A negative result of possible connection between the violation of entropic and Bell-CHSH type inequalities in multi-partite states is reported.  相似文献

We introduce inequalities for multipartite entanglement, derived from the geometry of spin vectors. The criteria are constructed iteratively from cross and dot products between the spins of individual subsystems, each of which may have arbitrary dimension. For qubit ensembles the maximum violation for our inequalities is larger than that for the Mermin-Klyshko Bell inequalities, and the maximally violating states are different from Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states. Our inequalities are violated by certain bound entangled states for which no Bell-type violation has yet been found.  相似文献

Generalized trio coherent states are made by superposing a number of trio coherent states. They possess inherent nonclassical properties such as sub-Poissonian distribution and violation of Cauchy-Schwarz inequalities. Their phase distribution in the framework of the Pegg and Barnett theory is discussed. We study the interaction of the radiation field prepared in a generalized trio coherent state with an atom in a superposition coherent state in the rotating wave approximation. We investigate the time dependence of the sub-Poissonian distribution and the violation of Cauchy-Schwarz inequalities for such a system. General conclusions reached are illustrated by numerical results.  相似文献

When elliptically polarized maximally entangled states are considered, i.e., states having a non random phase factor between the two bipartite polarization components, the standard settings used for optimal violation of Bell inequalities are no longer adapted. One way to retrieve the maximal amount of violation is to compensate for this phase while keeping the standard Bell inequality analysis settings. We propose in this paper a general theoretical approach that allows determining and adjusting the phase of elliptically polarized maximally entangled states in order to optimize the violation of Bell inequalities. The formalism is also applied to several suggested experimental phase compensation schemes. In order to emphasize the simplicity and relevance of our approach, we also describe an experimental implementation using a standard Soleil-Babinet phase compensator. This device is employed to correct the phase that appears in the maximally entangled state generated from a type-II nonlinear photon-pair source after the photons are created and distributed over fiber channels.  相似文献

We investigate the nonlocality of Schmidt-correlated (SC) states, and present analytical expressions of the maximum violation value of Bell inequalities. It is shown that the violation of Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt (CHSH) inequality is necessary and sufficient for the nonlocality of two-qubit SC states, whereas the violation of the Svetlichny inequality is only a sufficient condition for the genuine nonlocality of three-qubit SC states. Furthermore, the relations among the maximum violation values, concurrence, and relative entropy entanglement are discussed.  相似文献

Tomographic entropies of multiqudit systems are studied. A comparison of Shannon and von Neumann entropic inequalities with analogous inequalities for tomographic entropies is presented. An attempt to associate the violation of these and Bell-type inequalities of multipartite states is done within the framework of tomographic probability theory.  相似文献

We investigate the nonlocal properties of graph states. To this aim, we derive a family of Bell inequalities which require three measurement settings for each party and are maximally violated by graph states. In turn, for each graph state there is an inequality maximally violated only by that state. We show that for certain types of graph states the violation of these inequalities increases exponentially with the number of qubits. We also discuss connections to other entanglement properties such as the positivity of the partial transpose or the geometric measure of entanglement.  相似文献

We show that the quantum state of a multiverse made up of classically disconnected regions of the space-time, whose dynamical evolution is dominated by a homogeneous and isotropic fluid, is given by a squeezed state. These are typical quantum states that have no classical counterpart and therefore allow analyzing the violation of classical inequalities as well as the EPR argument in the context of the quantum multiverse. The thermodynamical properties of entanglement are calculated for a composite quantum state of two universes whose states are quantum-mechanically correlated. The energy of entanglement between the positive and negative modes of a scalar field, which correspond to the expanding and contracting branches of a phantom universe, are also computed.  相似文献

Bell's theorem without inequalities is applied for some general Greenberger-Horn-Zeilinger (GHZ) states and W states and a wide range of such states can exhibit all-versus-nothing conflict between local realism and quantum theory. The case of standard GHZ state is contained in our proposal. For some generalized GHZ states more intensive violation on local realism is manifested.  相似文献

Dynamics of disentanglement as measured by the tripartite negativity and Bell nonlocality as measured by the extent of violation of the multipartite Bell-type inequalities are investigated in this work. It is shown definitively that for the initial three-qubit Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) or W class state preparation, the Bell nonlocality suffers sudden death under the influence of thermal reservoirs. Moreover, all the Bell-nonlocal states are useful for nonclassical teleportation, while there are entangled states that do not violate any Bell-type inequalities, but still yield nonclassical teleportation fidelity.  相似文献

Intermediate states of electromagnetic field are reviewed. It is a type of the correlated two-mode states (converter state). Based on the resonant ion-cavity interaction, we propose a scheme to generate these states revealing their connection with the converter state. The practical feasibility of this method is also discussed. We discuss nonclassicality of a finite dimensional pair coherent states in terms of sub-Poissonian photon statistics as well as the negativity of the Wigner function after deriving the analytic expression for the Wigner function. We explore a superposition of two finite dimensional pair coherent states. We show that such states possess inherent nonclassical properties such as sub-Poissonian distribution, anti-correlation between the two modes and violation of Cauchy-Schwarz inequalities. The s-parameterized characteristic function (CF) is considered. The phase distribution in the framework of Pegg and Barnett formalism, W-function and Q-function are discussed. Furthermore, a two-level atom in interaction with a two-mode quantized electromagnetic fields besides a frequency converter interaction initially prepared in an entangled two-mode coherent state is presented. Exact solution of the wave function in the Schrödinger picture is obtained. Some statistical aspects of this model are presented. The results are employed to perform a careful investigation of the temporal evolution of the atomic inversion, entropy squeezing and variance squeezing. General conclusions reached are illustrated by numerical results.  相似文献

We discuss the relations between the violation of the Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt (CHSH) Bell inequality for systems of two qubits on the one side and entanglement of formation, local filtering operations, and the entropy and purity on the other. We calculate the extremal Bell violations for a given amount of entanglement of formation and characterize the respective states, which turn out to have extremal properties also with respect to the entropy, purity, and several entanglement monotones. The optimal local filtering operations leading to the maximal Bell violation for a given state are provided, and the special role of the resulting Bell diagonal states in the context of Bell inequalities is discussed.  相似文献

We derive N-particle Bell-type inequalities under the assumption of partial separability, i.e., that the N-particle system is composed of subsystems which may be correlated in any way (e.g., entangled) but which are uncorrelated with respect to each other. These inequalities provide, upon violation, experi-mentally accessible sufficient conditions for full N-particle entanglement, i.e., for N-particle entanglement that cannot be reduced to mixtures of states in which a smaller number of particles are entangled. The inequalities are shown to be maximally violated by the N-particle Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states.  相似文献

We derive two classes of multimode Bell inequalities under local realistic assumptions, which are violated only by the entangled states negative under partial transposition in accordance with the Peres conjecture. Remarkably, the failure of local realism can be manifested by exploiting wave and particle correlations of readily accessible continuous-variable states, with very large violation of inequalities insensitive to detector efficiency, which makes a strong case for a loophole-free test.  相似文献

We show that Bell inequalities can be violated in the macroscopic world. The macroworld violation is illustrated using an example involving connected vessels of water. We show that whether the violation of inequalities occurs in the microworld or the macroworld, it is the identification of nonidentical events that plays a crucial role. Specifically, we prove that if nonidentical events are consistently differentiated, Bell-type Pitowsky inequalities are no longer violated, even for Bohm's example of two entangled spin 1/2 quantum particles. We show how Bell inequalities can be violated in cognition, specifically in the relationship between abstract concepts and specific instances of these concepts. This supports the hypothesis that genuine quantum structure exists in the mind. We introduce a model where the amount of nonlocality and the degree of quantum uncertainty are parameterized, and demonstrate that increasing nonlocality increases the degree of violation, while increasing quantum uncertainty decreases the degree of violation.  相似文献

Quantum weak energy inequalities have recently been extensively discussed as a condition on the dynamical stability of quantum field states, particularly on curved spacetimes. We formulate the notion of a quantum weak energy inequality for general dynamical systems on static background spacetimes and establish a connection between quantum weak energy inequalities and thermodynamics. Namely, for such a dynamical system, we show that the existence of a class of states satisfying a quantum weak inequality implies that passive states (e.g., mixtures of ground- and thermal equilibrium states) exist for the time-evolution of the system and, therefore, that the second law of thermodynamics holds. As a model system, we consider the free scalar quantum field on a static spacetime. Although the Weyl algebra does not satisfy our general assumptions, our abstract results do apply to a related algebra which we construct, following a general method which we carefully describe, in Hilbert-space representations induced by quasifree Hadamard states. We discuss the problem of reconstructing states on the Weyl algebra from states on the new algebra and give conditions under which this may be accomplished. Previous results for linear quantum fields show that, on one hand, quantum weak energy inequalities follow from the Hadamard condition (or microlocal spectrum condition) imposed on the states, and on the other hand, that the existence of passive states implies that there is a class of states fulfilling the microlocal spectrum condition. Thus, the results of this paper indicate that these three conditions of dynamical stability are essentially equivalent. This observation is significant because the three conditions become effective at different length scales: The microlocal spectrum condition constrains the short-distance behaviour of quantum states (microscopic stability), quantum weak energy inequalities impose conditions at finite distance (mesoscopic stability), and the existence of passive states is a statement on the global thermodynamic stability of the system (macroscopic stability).Max-Planck-Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences, Inselstr. 22, 04103 Leipzig, Germany. verch@mis.mpg.de  相似文献

We show that, for a continuous set of entangled four-partite states, the task of maximizing the payoff in the symmetric-strategy four-player quantum Minority game is equivalent to maximizing the violation of a four-particle Bell inequality. We conclude the existence of direct correspondences between (i) the payoff rule and Bell inequalities, and (ii) the strategy and the choice of measured observables in evaluating these Bell inequalities. We also show that such a correspondence is unique to minority-like games.  相似文献

Recent experiments have renewed interest in nonlocal interpretations of quantum mechanics. The experimental observation of the violation of Bell's inequalities implies the existence of nonlocality. Bohm expressed the nonlocal connection between quantum particles through the wave function and the quantum potential. This paper shows that a similar connection exists in a relativistic dynamical theory known as parametrized relativistic quantum theory (PRQT). We present an introduction to PRQT, derive the quantum potential for a system of relativistic scalar particles, and discuss alternative interpretations of nonlocality.  相似文献
