We investigate extremal Reissner-Nordström-AdS black holes in fourdimensional \( \mathcal{N} = 2 \) abelian gauged supergravity. We find a new attractor equation which is not reduced to the one in the asymptotically flat spacetime. We also argue a formula which is available even in the presence of the scalar potential. We apply them to the T3-model and the STU-model in generic black hole charge distributions. In addition, focusing on the so-called T3-model with a single neutral vector multiplet, we obtain non-supersymmetric extremal Reissner-Nordström-AdS black hole solutions with regular event horizons in the D0-D4 and the D2-D6 black hole charge configurations. The negative cosmological constant emerges even without the Fayet-Iliopoulos parameters.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the gravitational quasi-normal modes(QNMs) for a static R~2 black hole(BH) in Anti-de Sitter(AdS) spacetime. The corresponding master equation of odd parity is derived and the QNMs are evaluated by the Horowitz and Hubeny method. Meanwhile the stability of such BH is also discussed through the temporal evolution of the perturbation field. Here we mainly consider the coefficient λ, which is related to the radius of AdS black hole, on the QNMs of the R~2 AdS BH. The results show that the Re(ω) and |Im(ω)| of the QNMs increase together as |λ| increases for a given angular momentum number l. That indicates with a larger value of |λ| the corresponding R~2 AdS BH returns to stable much more quickly. The dynamic evolution of the perturbation field is consistent with the results derived by the Horowitz and Hubeny method. Since in the conformal field theory the QNMs can reflect its approach to equilibrium, so our related results could be referential to studies of the AdS/CFT conjecture. The relationship between λ and the properties of the static R~2 BH might be helpful for the development of R~2 gravitational theory.  相似文献

We construct the general solution for nonextremal charged rotating black holes in five-dimensional minimal gauged supergravity. They are characterized by four nontrivial parameters: namely, the mass, the charge, and the two independent rotation parameters. The metrics in general describe regular rotating black holes, providing the parameters lie in appropriate ranges so that naked singularities and closed timelike curves (CTCs) are avoided. We calculate the conserved energy, angular momenta, and charge for the solutions, and show how supersymmetric solutions arise in a Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield limit. These have naked CTCs in general, but for special choices of the parameters we obtain new regular supersymmetric black holes or smooth topological solitons.  相似文献

We study a five-dimensional spacetime admitting, in the presence of torsion, a non-degenerate conformal Killing–Yano 2-form which is closed with respect to both the usual exterior differentiation and the exterior differentiation with torsion. Furthermore, assuming that the torsion is closed and co-closed with respect to the exterior differentiation with torsion, we prove that such a spacetime is the only spacetime given by the Chong–Cvetič–Lü–Pope solution for stationary, rotating charged black holes with two independent angular momenta in five-dimensional minimal gauged supergravity.  相似文献

In 3+1 dimensions there are anti-de Sitter quotients which are black holes with toroidal event horizons. By analytic continuation of the Schwarzschild-anti-de Sitter solution (and appropriate identifications) one finds two one parameter families of spacetimes that contain these quotient black holes. One of these families consists of B-metrics (“bubbles of nothing”), the other of black hole spacetimes. All of them have vanishing conserved charges. I. Bengtsson was supported by VR.  相似文献

We study the maximally supersymmetric AdS backgrounds of matter-coupled N=3 gauged supergravity in four dimensions. We find that to admit supersymmetric AdS vacua, the gauge group can only be of the form G_0×H?SO(3,n) with G_0 =SO(3),SO(3,1) or SL(3,R) and H a compact group of dimension n+3-dim(G_0). We also show that these AdS vacua have no moduli, namely they correspond to critical points in field space.  相似文献

We construct the solution for non-extremal charged rotating black holes in seven-dimensional gauged supergravity, in the case with only one rotation parameter and two independent charges. Using the Boyer-Lindquist coordinates, the metric is expressed in a generalized form of the ansatz previously presented in [S.Q. Wu, Phys. Rev. D 83 (2011) 121502(R)], which may be helpful to find the most general non-extremal two-charged rotating black hole with three unequal rotation parameters. We investigate the massive particle’s tunneling radiation from Schwarzchild black holes in higher-dimensional de Sitter and Anti-de Sitter space-times. Difference from the mass-less particle, the geodesics of the massive particle is not light-like, but decided by the phase velocity. We focus on s-waves, extend Parikh and Wilczek’s semi-classical tunneling method, and calculate the massive particle’s emission rate. It is shown that the emission rate is relevant to the change of the black hole’s entropy respectively, and the result takes the same functional form as that of the mass-less particle.  相似文献

N=8 supergravity can contain a large negative cosmological constant. If this supergravity was induced on a four-dimensional space-time submanifold of a ten-dimensional space by a superstring moving in the latter manifold then there exists the possibility of a mutual cancellation of the constant mentioned and a positive one arising on the given submanifold due to quantum effects from the superstring. After this the evolution of the submanifold will depend essentially on its topological properties.  相似文献

A two-parameter family of supersymmetric background field solutions of the recently formulated version of gauged N = 4 supergravity is found. This constitutes strong evidence that the theory has stable vacua, despite energy densities that are unbounded below. The background geometries are metric products of (AdS)2 × S2, and there are covariantly constant magnetic and electric fields. For a special choice of parameters the (AdS)2 factor becomes a flat Minkowski space and electric fields vanish.  相似文献

A physical interpretation of theC-metric with a negative cosmological constantΛ is suggested. Using a convenient coordinate system it is demonstrated that this class of exact solutions of Einstein’s equations describes uniformly accelerating (possibly charged) black holes in anti-de Sitter universe. In this paper D-brane boundary states constructed in Gepner models are used to analyze some aspects of the dynamics of DO-branes in Calabi-Yau compactifications of type II theories to four dimensions. It is shown that the boundary states correspond to BPS objects carrying dyonic charges. By analyzing the couplings to closed string fields a correspondence between the DO-branes and extremal charged black holes in N = 2 supergravity is found.  相似文献
