It is observed that low-temperature magnetic properties (dependence of the magnetization on the cooling conditions and the presence of a maximum in the initial magnetic susceptibility) of Eu1− x AxMnO3 (A=Ca, Sr; x=0,0.3) samples are similar to those of spin glasses. However, there are also substantial differences: The magnetization depends on the cooling conditions right up to the maximum measurement fields H=45 kOe, and the temperature of T N of the maximum of the initial magnetic susceptibility is independent of the frequency of the ac magnetic field in which the susceptibility is measured. The magnetization isotherms for T<T N are a superposition of a linear part, characteristic for an antiferromagnet, and a small spontaneous part. For compositions containing Sr a maximum of the resistivity ρ (ρmax∼108 Ω ·cm) is observed near T N; in a 120 kOe magnetic field this maximum is lowered by four orders of magnitude and the temperature of the maximum is two times higher. In compositions with x=0.3 the paramagnetic Curie point is much higher than for the composition with x=0: θ=110 K (A=Ca), 175 K (A=Sr), and −100 K (x=0). These characteristic features of the magnetic and electric properties are explained by the existence of a magnetically two-phase state in this system, consisting of ferromagnetic clusters, in which the charge carriers are concentrated, embedded in an insulating antiferromagnetic matrix. The magnetic and electrical properties of polycrystalline Pr1?xAxCoO3 cobaltites with A=Ca, Sr and 0≤x≤0.5 were studied in the temperature range 4 K≤T≤1000 K and field up to 7 T. The X-ray analyses show the presence of only one phase having monoclinic or orthorhombic symmetry. The magnetic measurements indicate that the Ca-doped samples have at low temperatures, similar properties to the frustrated magnetic materials. PrCoO3 is a paramagnetic insulator in the range from 4 to 1000 K. The Sr-doped cobaltites exhibit two phase transitions: a paramagnetic–ferromagnetic (or magnetic phase separated state) phase transition at about 240 K and a second one at about 100 K. The magnetic measurements suggest the presence of magnetic clusters and a change in the nature of magnetic coupling between Co ions at low temperatures. A semiconducting type behavior and high negative magnetoresistance was found for the Ca-doped samples, while the Sr-doped ones were metallic and with negligible magnetoresistance. The results are analyzed in the frame of a phase separation scenario in the presence of the spin-state transitions of Co ions.  相似文献

研究了M3La(BO3)3(M=Ca,Sr,Ba)基质中Eu3+的激发光谱和发射光谱.结果表明,最强激发峰均为394nm,并均有λ<300nm的较强电荷迁移带;按Ca-Sr-Ba的顺序,各发射峰峰值逐渐红移;Eu3+的最佳发射浓度分别为xEu3+=0.10、0.09、0.20;Eu3+的5D0→7F2跃迁发射的浓度猝灭机理分别为电偶极-四极、电偶极-偶极和电偶极-偶极相互作用.  相似文献

The white light-emitting diode has recently attracted great attention as a promising candidate for next generation lighting. The solid solution of Sr1.80Eu0.10Li0.10MgMoxW1?xO6 was synthesized via high-temperature solid-state reaction and this solid solution is treated as a promising red emitting phosphor for white light-emitting diodes. In our cases, the X-ray diffraction, excitation spectra, emission spectra and decay curves of these solid solutions were measured as a function of the Mo/W ratio to characterize the structural and luminescent properties. The excitation bands of the series of phosphors are consistent well with the region of near ultraviolet light, and the phosphors present better color purity than the commercial phosphor Y2O2S:Eu3+ in current use. Taking these properties into consideration, this kind of material may find a great potential application as a red phosphor for near-ultraviolet excited white light-emitting diodes.  相似文献

An experimental study is reported on the temperature dependences of the magnetic susceptibility, electrical resistivity, magnetoresistance, thermo-and magnetothermopower, and on the Hall effect of the polycrystalline lanthanum manganites La0.67?x R x Sr0.33MnO3 (x=0 and 0.07, R=Eu, Gd) within the 77-to 430-K temperature range. Replacement of a small amount of lanthanum by europium or gadolinium was found to result in a considerable decrease in the resistivity and in a change in the pattern of its temperature dependence. The temperature dependence of both the ordinary and anomalous Hall coefficients near the Curie temperature is shown to be determined by the change in the number of carriers in delocalized states. A method is proposed for separation of the hole and electronic contributions to thermopower in the ferromagnetic region. The conduction mechanisms are discussed in terms of the concept of mobility edge motion.  相似文献

We study experimentally and theoretically the effect of Eu doping and partial oxygen isotope substitution on the transport and magnetic characteristics and spin-state transitions in (Pr1 ? y Eu y )0.7Ca0.3CoO3 cobaltites. The Eu doping level y is chosen in the range of the phase diagram near the crossover between the ferromagnetic and spin-state transitions (0.10 < y < 0.20). We prepared a series of samples with different degrees of enrichment by the heavy oxygen isotope 18O, namely, with 90, 67, 43, 17, and 0% of 18O. Based on the measurements of the ac magnetic susceptibility χ(T) and electrical resistivity ρ(T), we analyze the evolution of the sample properties with a change of the Eu and 18O content. It is demonstrated that the effect of increasing the 18O content on the system is similar to that of increasing the Eu content. The band structure calculations of the energy gap between t 2g and e g bands including the renormalization of this gap due to the electron-phonon interaction reveals the physical mechanisms underlying this similarity.  相似文献

The ‘simple’ perovskites ACr(IV)O3 (A=Sr, Ca, Pb) have been synthesized at high pressure and temperature. Their microstructure and properties are discussed. Specific heat and susceptibility measurements indicate an antiferromagnetic ordering at low temperature in CaCrO3, which is confirmed to be of the C-type by neutron diffraction.  相似文献

X-ray diffraction,151Eu Mössbauer effect (ME) and magnetic susceptibility measurements have been performed to investigate the valence behavior and the magnetic interactions of the Eu ions in the intermetallic series Eu(Pd1–x Au x )2Si2 (0x1) as a Forx>0.4 all experimental techniques are in agreement with each other and suggest a divalent 4f 7 ground state of the Eu ion. Belowx=0.4 the different methods lead to different results: while the lattice parameters and the ME isomer shift suggest an instable behavior of the valence the magnetic susceptibility proves a pure divalent 4f 7 ground state. These differences can be explained by assuming a partial extension of the 4f-shell radius such that the localized character of the 4f-electrons is preserved.Dedicated to B. 采用固相法制备了红色LiM(M=Ca,Sr,Ba)BO3∶Re3+(Re=Eu,Sm)发光材料,研究了材料的发光性能。研究发现LiM(M=Ca,Sr,Ba)BO3∶Eu3+材料呈现多峰发射,最强发射分别位于610,615,613 nm处,分别监测这三个最强峰,所得激发光谱峰值位于369,400,470 nm。LiM(M=Ca,Sr,Ba)BO3∶Sm3+材料也呈多峰发射,分别对应Sm3+的4G5/2→6H5/2、4G5/2→6H7/2和4G5/2→6H9/2跃迁发射;分别监测602,599,597 nm三个最强发射峰,所得激发光谱峰值位于374,405 nm。研究了激活剂浓度对材料发射强度的影响,结果随激活剂浓度的增大,发射强度先增强后减弱,即,存在浓度猝灭效应。实验表明,加入电荷补偿剂Li+、Na+或K+均可提高LiM(M=Ca,Sr,Ba)BO3∶Re3+(Re=Eu,Sm)材料的发射强度。  相似文献

Preparation of (B1−xCx)(Sr1−yBay)2Ca2Cu3Oz has been studied using high-pressure synthesis technique to improve sample quality. Samples were prepared from various starting compositions of 0.2≤x≤0.8 and 0≤y≤1. Nearly single-phased samples were obtained for (B0.6C0.4)(Sr1−yBay)2Ca2Cu3Oz (0≤y≤0.75) and (B1−xCx)-(Sr0.25Ba0.75)2Ca2Cu3Oz (0.3≤x≤0.6). We have found that the partial substitution of Ba is effective to improve the sample quality as well as to enhance the Tc. The C substitution was also demonstrated to affect the sample preparation and the physical properties. Based on the substitution study, a maximum Tc of 120 K was observed for the sample with a starting composition of (B0.65C0.35)(Sr0.3Ba0.7)2Ca2Cu3O9+δ. Critical current density (Jc) and irreversibility field (Hirr) were estimated from magnetization measurements. The Jc at 77 K in a field of 1 T was about 1.1×104 A/cm3 and the Hirr at 77 K was about 2.5 T. The Hirr was well-described by Hirr=a(1−T/Tc)n with a=39.1 and n=2.38.  相似文献

The temperature dependences of the velocities of transverse and longitudinal hypersound in lanthanum strontium manganites of the composition La1−x Sr x MnO3 (x = 0.125, 0.150, 0.175) have been measured at frequencies of 0.5–0.7 GHz. The structural phase transitions have been revealed, and their positions have been confirmed by data on the electrical resistance and magnetic measurements performed using the same samples. The results obtained have been analyzed in the framework of the model of competing Jahn-Teller distortions and magnetic ordering. The anomalies observed in the behavior of the velocities of longitudinal hypersound have been attributed to the local Jahn-Teller distortions, and their suppression due to the magnetic ordering has been considered a possible factor responsible for the colossal magnetoresistance.  相似文献

This paper presents an experimental study of the temperature dependences of the electrical resistivity, thermopower, and magnetoresistance of single-crystal manganite Pr1 ? x Sr x MnO3 (x = 0.22, 0.24). The results obtained have been analyzed in terms of the theory of hopping electrical conductivity of manganites in the phase-separation state and the main postulates of percolation theory. In the 2–400-K interval, hopping conductivity with temperature-dependent activation energy has been observed. Near the Curie temperature, the monotonic exponential growth of electrical resistivity with decreasing temperature becomes distorted by formation of finite metallic clusters. For T ≤ 36 K, the conductivity of Pr0.8Sr0.22MnO3 follows the Mott law.  相似文献

With Nd3+ doping and Ca2+, Sr2+ modulating in the sol–gel technique, a series of polycrystalline perovskite samples La0.7?xNdx(Ca,Sr)0.3MnO3 (x = 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.20, 0.25) was prepared, their maximum magnetic entropy changes were tuned to room temperature (ΔSH = ?1.47 J/kg K at 298 k for La0.45Nd0.25(Ca,Sr)0.3MnO3), an enhancement of the maximum magnetic entropy change (ΔSH = ?1.89 J/kg K at 315 k) and its refrigerant capacity (about 45.3 J/kg) had also been obtained under 9 kOe magnetic field variation for La0.55Nd0.15(Ca,Sr)0.3MnO3 contrast to La0.7(Ca,Sr)0.3MnO3.  相似文献

The frequency response (10?1–10?7 Hz) of the ionic conductivity σ of R 1 ? y M y F3 ? y single crystals (R is a rare-earth element, and M stands for an alkaline-earth element and Cd) with a tysonite structure is studied over a wide temperature range (114–410 K), which includes (for the first time for these phases) the interval below room temperature. The dependences σ(ν) obtained are discussed within the hopping relaxation model.
