A mathematical rigorous definition of EPR states has been introduced by Arens and Varadarajan for finite dimensional systems, and extended by Werner to general systems. In the present paper we follow a definition of EPR states due to Werner. Then we show that an EPR state for incommensurable pairs is Bell correlated, and that the set of EPR states for incommensurable pairs is norm dense between two strictly space-like separated regions in algebraic quantum field theory.  相似文献

Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen(EPR) steering is one of important quantum correlations of a composite quantum system, which was observed firstly by Schrödinger in the context of the famous EPR paradox and has been discussed recently. In this paper, we give some characterizations of EPR steerability of bipartite states by proving some necessary and sufficient conditions for a state to be unsteerable with a measurement assemblage of Alice. Based on one of the obtained characterizations, we derive an EPR steering inequality, which serves to check EPR steerability of the maximally entangled states.  相似文献

We present a family of tripartite entangled states that, in an asymptotical sense, can be reversibly converted into Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) states, shared by parties B and C, and tripartite Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) states. Thus we show that a bipartite and a genuine tripartite entanglement can be reversibly combined in a tripartite state. For such states the corresponding fractions of GHZ and EPR states represent a complete quantification of their (asymptotical) entanglement resources. More generally, we show that AB, AC, and BC EPR entanglement and GHZ entanglement can be reversibly combined in a single tripartite state. Finally, we generalize this result to any number of parties.  相似文献

提出基于腔QED技术的多用户间的多原子W态和GHZ态量子信道的建立方案.在量子网络的空闲时段,各个用户和量子交换机共享EPR对.量子交换机通过原子和腔场的相互作用将两个EPR对制备成W态,再与另一个EPR对进行纠缠交换,经过直接测量后为用户建立三原子W态量子信道;同时讨论了四用户间的W态量子信道的建立方案.量子交换机对三个EPR对进行纠缠交换,将三个原子同时与腔场作用,经过直接测量后为用户建立三原子GHZ态量子信道;并将此方法推广到N个用户间的GHZ态量子信道的建立. 关键词: 腔QED 量子信道 量子交换机 纠缠交换  相似文献

An intense comb-shaped Raman spectra were obtained from a two-dimensional nonlinear x(2) photonic crystal - a hexagonally poled LiTaO3 crystal with lattice parameter 9 micros. The lowest Raman shift was down to 2 cm^-1 and the order of anti-stokes and stokes signals both achieved 11. The novel Raman spectra were mediated first by intense phonon-polariton fields, which were driven through the quasi-phase-matched coupling between the incident dual-beam both from an optical parametric oscillation laser, and further amplified greatly also by such quasi-phasematched nonlinear optical process. The dependence of the Raman spectra character on the wavelength and intensity of incident beams were studied in detail, which accordingly revealed information of the inelastic scattering and the elementary excitation in the nonlinear medium. These results on the other hand suggest technological importance for developing a novel Raman laser with the multi-wavelength output and a tunable frequency interval and for possible applications in quantum optics.  相似文献

One-photon and two-photon superposition states are the fundamental quantum states, which have shown interesting features, such as squeezing and anti-bunching. In this paper we discuss the quantum teleportation of such quantum states with the continuous-wave EPR states. Fidelity as a function of EPR correlation is obtained. This paper has investigated quantum teleportation of even and odd coherent states in terms of the EPR entanglement states for continuous variables. It discusses the relationship between the fidelity and the entanglement of EPR states, which is characterized by the degree of squeezing and the gain of classical channels. It shows that the quality of teleporting quantum states also depends on the characteristics of the states themselves. The properties of teleporting even and odd coherent states at different intensities are investigated. The difference of teleporting two such kinds of quantum states are analysed based on the quantum distance function.  相似文献

We describe a protocol for generation of remote multi-photon entanglement using Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) photon pairs via entanglement swapping. According to the requests of users, Quantum Switch (QS) can prepare three-photon W entangled states or Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) states based on independent, spatially separated EPR pairs among three distant users. Only Bell states measurement (BSM) is needed utilizing a CPHASE gate and PAs. This protocol can also generate remote N-photon GHZ entangled states.  相似文献

The triplet states of deoxybenzoin (DOB) and benzophenone (BP) molecules in randomly methylated β-cyclodextrin (CD) cavity are studied by time-resolved (TR) and pulse electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). The observed TR EPR spectrum of DOB in β-CD at 30 K is close to the spectrum measured in polar solvent trifluoroethanol, revealing strong hydration by water molecules. At the same time, TR EPR spectrum of BP in β-CD corresponds to nonpolar surrounding of the CO-group. The electron spin relaxation times T 1 and T 2 of triplet BP at 30 K measured by pulse EPR are found to be different in β-CD compared to nonpolar toluene glass. The observed increase of T 2 by up to a factor of four in β-CD is caused by the lower vibration amplitude of CO-bond of BP due to the confinement in β-CD. The influence of β-CD with covalently attached nitroxide on the triplet states of DOB and BP is principally different: the excited triplet states could not be observed by TR EPR due to the efficient quenching of the excited states by nitroxide.  相似文献

A scheme for probabilistic controlled teleportation of a triplet W state using combined non-maximally entangled channel of two Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) states and one Creenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (CHZ) state is proposed. In this scheme, an (m + 2)-qubit CHZ state serves not only as the control parameter but also as the quantum channel. The m control qubits are shared by m supervisors. With the aid of local operations and individual measurements, including Bell-state measurement, Von Neumann measurement, and mutual classical communication etc., Bob can faithfully reconstruct the original state by performing relevant unitary transformations. The total probability of successful teleportation is only dependent on channel coefficients of EPR states and GHZ, independent of the number of supervisor m. This protocol can also be extended to probabilistic controlled teleportation of an arbitrary N-qubit state using combined non-maximally entangled channel of N- 1 EPR states and one (m + 2)-qubit GHZ.  相似文献

In undoped and Ce 3+ -doped LaCl 3 EPR has been detected in the X-ray luminescence (XL-EPR) in K-band (25 v GHz) at 1.5 v K. Two excited triplet states with different EPR parameters and spectral shapes could be separated, both triplet states have been attributed to "out-of-plane" self-trapped excitons (STE) in LaCl 3 . No EPR signals of V K centres (self-trapped holes) could be detected in undoped or Ce 3+ -doped LaCl 3 after X-irradiation at low temperatures. X-irradiation of undoped LaCl 3 creates also an EPR spectrum which can be tentatively attributed to F-type defects. The scintillation mechanism is discussed.  相似文献

Electron paramagnetic resonance searches of thermally excited multiplet states in macerals, exinite, vitrinite, and inertinite of Polish medium-rank coal (85.6 wt% C), were performed. Numerical analysis of lineshape indicates a multicomponent structure of the EPR spectra of macerals heated at 300 degrees and 650 degrees C. EPR spectra of exinite and vitrinite are a superposition of broad Gauss, broad Lorentz (Lorentz 1), and narrow Lorentz (Lorentz 3) lines. Two narrow Lorentz (Lorentz 2 and Lorentz 3) lines were observed in the resonance absorption curves of inertinite. The influence of the measuring temperature (100-300 K) on the EPR lines of the macerals was also studied. The experimentally obtained temperature dependence of the EPR line intensities were fitted by the theoretical functions characteristic for paramagnetic centers with ground doublet state (S = 12) and paramagnetic centers with thermally excited triplet (S = 1) and quadruplet (S = 32) states. Thermally excited multiplet states were found in exinite and vitrinite. Both paramagnetic centers with doublet ground state (S = 12) and paramagnetic centers with thermally excited states, probably quadruplet states (S = 32), exist in the group of paramagnetic centers of exinite and vitrinite with the broad Lorentz 1 lines. Intensities (I) of the broad Gauss and the narrow Lorentz 3 lines of exinite and vitrinite changes with temperature according to the Curie law (I = C/T). The existence of thermally excited multiplet states was not stated for inertinite. The two groups of paramagnetic centers of inertinite with Lorentz 2 and Lorentz 3 lines obey the Curie law. The line shape analysis of electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectra for low-dimensional solids are calculated. A comparison is carried out between the experimental EPR results of polyaniline samples and theoretical calculation. The dimension evolution of the samples from nonconducting to conducting states is obtained. It is found that the dimensional properties determined by EPR are in good accordance with those obtained using previous ellipsometric methods.  相似文献

Steering is a form of quantum nonlocality that is intimately related to the famous Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) paradox that ignited the ongoing discussion of quantum correlations. Within the hierarchy of nonlocal correlations appearing in nature, EPR steering occupies an intermediate position between Bell nonlocality and entanglement. In continuous variable systems, EPR steering correlations have been observed by violation of Reid's EPR inequality, which is based on inferred variances of complementary observables. Here we propose and experimentally test a new criterion based on entropy functions, and show that it is more powerful than the variance inequality for identifying EPR steering. Using the entropic criterion our experimental results show EPR steering, while the variance criterion does not. Our results open up the possibility of observing this type of nonlocality in a wider variety of quantum states.  相似文献

We describe a protocol for distilling maximally entangled bipartite states between random pairs of parties from those sharing a tripartite W state |W=(1/sqrt[3])(|100+|010+|001)(ABC), and show that the total distillation rate E(t)(infinity) [the total number of Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) pairs distilled per W, irrespective of who shares them] may be done at a higher rate than EPR distillation between specified pairs of parties. Specifically, the optimal rate for distillation to specified parties has been previously shown to be 0.92 EPR pairs per W, while our protocol can asymptotically distill 1 EPR pair per W between random pairs of parties, which we conjecture to be optimal. We thus demonstrate a tradeoff between overall distillation rate and final distribution of EPR pairs. We further show that there exist states with fixed lower-bounded E(t)(infinity), but arbitrarily small distillable entanglement for specified parties.  相似文献

This paper reports on the results of complex investigations of photoexcited states of ammonium tetraphenylborate, which are characterized by self-sensitized luminescence. It has been established that the excitation by UV light at 77 K leads to the formation of stable triplet states due to the capture of electrons on electron traps. The EPR and luminescence excitation spectra exhibit the formation of a set of triplet states with different distances between electrons and holes. The performed investigations give grounds to affirm that, in bulk samples, cations in the structure of ammonium tetraphenylborate are electron traps. When the size of the ammonium tetraphenylborate sample is changed to 6 and 3 nm, the capture of excited electrons on sorbed oxygen molecules becomes dominant. In this case, the appearance of the spectrum of O2 anion radicals has been detected by the EPR method. The proposed interpretation of the observed effects has been confirmed by the thermoluminescence data on the recombination of electron-hole pairs, which correlate with a change in the intensity of the EPR spectra during annealing.  相似文献

Quantum teleportation of one- and two-photon superposition states based on EPR entanglement of continuous-wave two-mode squeezed state is discussed. The fidelities of teleportation axe deduced for two different input quantum states. The dependence of the fidelity on the parameters of EPR entanglement and the gain of the classical channels are shown numerically. Comparing with the teleportation of Fock state and coherent state, it is pointed out that for given EPR entanglement and classical gain, the higher the nonclassicality of the input state, the lower the accessible fidelity of teleportation.  相似文献
