Tunable 5-watts Ti:Al2O3laser oscillating with a quasi-continuous wave pumping

An investigation of the output characteristics of Ti !A12O3 laser pumped by the second harmornic generation from an acoustooptic Q -switched Nd:YAG laser is made. An average output power of 5 watts has been obtained when the pump power is 14. 5 watts. The slope efficiency is 55. 5%, and the quantum efficiency is approximately 80%.     

增益开关型Ti~(3+):Al_2O_3对激光器的时间特性研究

本文报道增益开关型Ti~(3+) :Al_2O_3激光器输出脉冲的时间特性;给出激光器在宽带输出及调谐工作状态下,输出脉冲的时间特性曲线.实验中获得最小的脉宽为1.2ns.在一定的实验条件下,脉冲宽度可在5～27.5ns范围内连续变化.在调谐状态下,用一输出耦合镜得到波长可调谐范围为730～850nm.用三块棱镜作调谐器,在中心波长780nm处,最大输出能量为4.7mJ,谱线宽度为0.13nm(FWHM).     

Tunable two-wavelength lasing of Ti: Al_2O_3 and its two-wave mixing in β-BaB_2O_4

A tunable Ti: sapphire laser with a symmetric two-channel dispersive resonator operated simultaneously at two wavelengths was obtained. The delay between λ_1 and λ_2 pulses did not exceed a few nanosecond. Independent tunable range of each output wavelength is 720-820nm, and the maximum wavelength difference was about 55nm. The competition and connectivity between two waves have been observed. The frequency suming and doubling of the two waves generated in BBO were also obtained.     

Amplification of spontaneous emission in Nd~(3 )-doped fiber pumped by Ti: Al_2O_3 tunable laser

Amplification of spontaneous emission(ASE) in 4m Nd~(3 )-doped fiber pumped by Ti : Al~2O_3 tunable laser is studied theoretically and experimentally. The output of 2.64mW from ASE source pumped at 833 nm is obtained and the experimental results of ASE source are compared with that of Nd~(3 )-doped fiber ring laser.

Theoretical and experimental investigations of quasi-continuous wave diode array side-pumped Yb＇YAG slab laser

An analytical model of quasi-continuous wave (quasi-CW) diode array side-pumped slab laser for Yb:YAG oscillator in long-pulse free-running has been developed based on the CW model. In this model we first introduce a new parameter, pump pulse width, and make the model available for use in the quasi-CW model. We also give an analytical equation of laser delay time to calculate the laser pulse width. A detailed model is also presented for a new structure laser design, taking account of the geometry of Yb:YAG slab. A quasi-CW diode array side-pumped Yb:YAG slab laser is investigated theoretically and experimentally. Experiments yield a quasi-CW output energy up to 20.36 mJ with the laser pulse width of 654.55 μs at 1049 nm when the diode arrays operate at 25 Hz and 1 ms pulse width. The crystal dimensions are 3 mm×8 mm×1 mm and the doping density is 10 at.%. The experimental results are in good agreement with the predictions of the theoretical model.     

倍频YAG泵浦脉冲钛宝石激光器设计与激光运转

用10ns倍频YAG激光泵浦实现了Ti~(3+):Al_2O_3激光运转,最大输出能量可达37mJ,能量转换效率40%,斜率效率59%,量子效率80%,泵浦阈值0.5～1.2J/cm~2,在662～938nm波长范围内实现了连续调谐.     

低重复率的Ti:Al2O3飞秒激光放大器研究

本文报道了重复频率为10Hz的Ti:Al₂O₃飞秒激光放大器的研究.基于脉冲啁啾放大技术和采用再生/多通放大装置,得到了能量为8mJ的放大光脉冲,在该放大系统中,激光脉冲获M净增益约8×10⁷.     

Tunable single-mode pulsed Ti3+:Sapphire laser injection-seeded by a continuous-wave Cr3+:LiSrAlF6 laser

Spectrally pure high-power tunable single-mode operation of a pulsed Ti³⁺:sapphire laser by a tunable injection-seeding is reported. The injection laser was a cw diode laser pumped, spectrally narrowed tunable Cr³⁺:LiSrAlF₆ (Cr³⁺:LiSAF) laser with a grating in the auxiliary cavity. Single-mode tunable operation of a pulsed Ti³⁺: sapphire ring oscillator was obtained at different wavelengths in the range between 818 nm and 848 nm with a typical linewidth of 0.006 cm^-1. To extend the applicability of this operation to a differential absorption lidar system, the single-mode Ti³⁺:sapphire oscillator output was amplified and a high energy output of 38 mJ was obtained with the same linewidth.

A Nd(3 )-doped fiber ring laser pumped by a CW Ti:sapphire tunable laser is reported. The characteristics of the system are studied for the first time at 77K and 300K. The results show a lower threshold and a higher slope efficiency at 77K than that at 300K. Applications of the Nd~(3 )-doped fiber ring laser in a multiplexing fiber sensor system and a fiber-ring-laser type temperature sensor are discussed.

Ｔｉ：Ａｌ２Ｏ３晶体中的顺磁中心Ｔｉ＾３＋由于强烈的晶格自旋耦合而使其电子自旋共振吸收只有在液拟温度附近才能看到，本实验在液氮温度附近记录到由许多强的的吸收峰迭加于Ｔｉ＾３＋宽吸收线所组成的电子自旋共振谱，这些吸吸收峰被认为是Ａｌ２Ｏ３基质中的Ｆｅ＾３＋，Ｍｎ＾２＋，Ｃｒ＾３＋，Ｍｏ＾３＋，Ｆｅ＾２＋，Ｃｏ＾２＋等杂质的共振吸收及Ｔｉ＾２＋３Ａ２ｇ基态的双量子跃迁造成的。

介绍掺钛蓝宝石激光器的一种新的倍频系统,利用色散棱镜对把不同频率的激光从窨色散开,然后利用透镜使这些光从不同方向入射到ＢＢＯ晶体上,这些方向恰 好是这些光的ＢＢＯ晶体上的相位匹配角,从而不需倍频晶体在掺钛蓝宝石激光器的可调谐范围内均实现角度相位匹配。     

低功率泵浦Ti：Al2O3自锁模激光器

本文报道了低功率泵浦的Ｔｉ：Ａｌ２Ｏ３激光器实现了稳定的自锁模运转，锁模脉冲宽度为１８０ｆｓ。分析了激光器的结构及工作特性。     

Optical Spectroscopic Study of Al 2 O 3 : Ti 3+ Under Hydrostatic Pressure

This work investigates the effect of hydrostatic pressure on the excitation, emission and lifetime of Ti 3+ - doped Al 2 O 3 in the 0-110 kbar range. The application of pressure induces band shifts that are correlated with the corresponding local structural changes undergone by the TiO 6 complex. The increase of the Stokes-shift and the reduction of the Jahn-Teller (JT) splittings under pressure are analysed in terms of a simple model based on linear electron-phonon couplings to the a_{1_{\rm g}} and the JT e g vibrational modes.     

利用微带谐振技术研究MgB2/Al2O3和YBa2Cu3O7-x/LaAlO3超导薄膜的微波性质

利用微带谐振技术研究了MgB2/A12O3和YBa2Cu3o7-X/LaAlO3(YBCO/LAO)超导薄膜的微波性质.一个颗粒尺寸模型被用来分析超导薄膜的穿透深度和表面电阻.结果表明,对于高质的YBCO/LAO,微波性质主要由颗粒决定.对于低质的MgB2/Al2O3,该薄膜的微波性质主要由颗粒边界决定.     

SrBi2Ta2O9/Bi4Ti3O12复合铁电薄膜的制备与特性研究

采用溶胶凝胶工艺在p-Si衬底上制备了SrBi2Ta2O9/Bi4Ti3O12复合铁电薄膜. 研究了SrBi2Ta2O9/Bi4Ti3O12复合薄膜的微观结构与生长行为、铁电性能和疲劳特性. 研究表明: Si衬底Bi4Ti3O12薄膜易于沿c轴择优生长,并有利于SrBi2Ta2O9/Bi4Ti3O12复合薄膜的生长.合理的SrBi2Ta2O9/Bi4Ti3O12厚度配比能获得较好的铁电性能和优良的抗疲劳特性,SrBi2Ta2O9/Bi4Ti3O12厚度配比为1∶3的复合薄膜的剩余极化强度和矫顽电场分别为8.1 μC/cm2 和 130 kV/cm,其无疲劳极化开关次数达1011以上.     

采用飞秒光纤激光同步泵浦的自启动锁模钛宝石激光研究

针对常规连续激光泵浦钛宝石激光振荡器不能自启动锁模的缺点,采用倍频飞秒光纤激光同步泵浦,通过调节振荡器腔长与泵浦腔长匹配,实现了飞秒钛宝石激光的自启动锁模。实验中采用3.4 W的倍频掺镱光纤激光同步泵浦钛宝石激光振荡器,获得了平均功率大于130 mW、重复频率75 MHz、光谱宽度大于47 nm、脉冲宽度17 fs的锁模脉冲输出,不仅能够稳定可靠地实现自启动锁模,解决了常规钛宝石激光振荡器锁模启动的困难,而且还具有同步输出1040,800,520 nm三束飞秒激光的特点,为进一步开展飞秒激光相干合成以及光参量放大等研究提供了优势基础。     

A 1.107 μm Yb3+-doped Phosphate Fiber Laser Pumped by a Ti:sapphire

Lasers and amplifiers in a single fiber have been developed rapidly, especially for optical fiber communication and various sensors, in the recent years. However, remarkable progress and achievement have been made mainly in silica fiber doped with rare earth elements. In this paper, we report the progress on the development of the Yb3+-doped phosphate fiber laser.     

Operation of Kerr-lens mode-locked Ti:sapphire laser in thenon-soliton regime

A Kerr-lens mode-locked Ti:sapphire laser operating in a non-soliton regime is demonstrated. Dispersive wave generation is observed as a result of third order dispersion in the vicinity of zero dispersion. The characteristics of the Ti:sapphire laser operating in a positive dispersion regime are presented, where the oscillator directly generates pulses with duration continuously tunable from 0.37~ps to 2.11~ps, and 36~fs pulses are achieved after extracavity compression. The oscillation is numerically simulated with an extended nonlinear Schr?dinger equation, and the simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental results.
