Monolayers of 3,3′-dithiodipropionic acid (DTDPA) were prepared on a polycrystalline gold electrode through a self-assembly procedure to produce a gold 3,3′-dithiodipropionic acid self-assembled monolayer (AuDTDPA) modified electrode. The characterization of the AuDTDPA electrode was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and ac impedance using the [Fe(CN)6]3−/4− redox couple. The electrochemical behavior of DA on the modified electrode AuDTDPA was studied by cyclic and square-wave voltammetries, using phosphate buffer as supporting electrolyte. The oxidation peak current for DA increases linearly with concentration in the range of 0.35 × 10−5 to 3.4 × 10−5 mol L−1. The performance of the AuDTDPA modified electrode was evaluated for the electroanalytical determination of dopamine (DA) in a pharmaceutical formulation. The AuDTDPA modified electrode showed a stable behavior and the presence of surface-COOH groups avoided the passivation of the electrode surface during the dopamine oxidation.  相似文献

Electrochemically active hybrid coatings based on cationic films, didodecyldimethylammonium bromide (DDDMAB), and poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDADMAC) are prepared on glassy carbon electrode surface by cycling the film‐covered electrode repetitively in a pH 7 solution containing flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD), and anionic hexacyanometalate (HCM) complexes, Fe(CN)63? and Ru(CN)64?. Cyclic voltammetric features of hybrid coatings resemble that of electron transfer process of surface‐confined redox species. Electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM) was used to monitor the deposition of FAD on DDDMAB film. Cyclic voltammetric peak potentials of modified electrode were found to be shifted to more negative region with increasing pH of contacting solution with a slope value of 63.3mV per pH unit. The electrocatalytic behavior of FAD‐modified DDDMAB‐coated GCE and hybrid film electrodes was tested towards reduction of oxygen, S2O82?, SO52? and oxidation of SO32?. The application of FAD‐modified DDDMAB‐coated GCE for S2O82? estimation was demonstrated in amperometric mode. The sensitivity and detection limit (S/N=3) were 267.6 μA mM?1 and 2×10?6 M, respectively.  相似文献

Meldola′s blue was immobilized into a self-assembled decanethiol monolayer modified on a gold electrode to provide a biological membrane model for electron transport having a molecular gate. Cyclic voltammograms of ferricyanide at this modified electrode showed only its reduction current at potentials where Meldola′s blue was reduced, but not at the redox potential of ferricyanide itself and no reaction was observed for ferrocyanide, indicating the direction of electron flow was controlled through the functionalized monolayer. Similar electrochemical responses were also observed for both octacyanotungustate and octacyanomolybdate. The cathodic peak currents observed in metal cyanide solutions at the modified electrode decreased in the order of Fe(CN)63− > W(CN)83− > Mo(CN)83− at a given pH. From the analysis of the voltammograms using the microelectrode assembly model, the potential-dependent rectified electron flow was explained in terms of a gate function of Meldola′s blue in the monolayer, and the apparent electron transfer rate constant, k0app, and the apparent diffusion coefficient, Dapp, of metal cyanide ions in the monolayer were also estimated.  相似文献

The surface of a gold (Au) disk electrode was modified with a self‐assembled monomolecular layer of dithiobis(4‐butylamino‐m‐phenylboronic acid) (DTBA‐PBA) to prepare L ‐lactate‐sensitive electrodes. The DTBA‐PBA‐modified electrodes exhibited an attenuated cyclic voltammogram (CV) for the Fe(CN)63? ion in the presence of L ‐lactate, as a result of the formation of phenylboronate ester of L ‐lactate accompanied with the addition of OH? ion to the boron atom. In other words, the negatively charged DTBA‐PBA monolayer blocked the electrode surface from the access of the Fe(CN)63?/4? ions. Thus, the DTBA‐PBA monolayer‐modified Au electrode can be used for determining L ‐lactate on the basis of the change in redox current of Fe(CN)63?/4? ions. The calibration graph useful for determining 1–30 mM L ‐lactate was obtained.  相似文献

In this study, a grafted polymer (GP) with ZnO nanoparticles (GP/ZnO NPs) was attached on the surface of glassy carbon electrode (GCE), in order to produce a new modified electrode (GP/ZnO NPs-GCE). The gamma irradiation method was used to grafted polystyrene (polymer) with acrylonitrile (monomer), while slow evaporation process was used to prepare the new modified electrode. The cyclic voltammetry (CV) of K4[Fe(CN)6] was used to study the electrochemical properties GP/ZnO NPs-GCE. The peak separation (ΔEpa-c) was 500 mV between the redox peaks of Fe(II)/Fe(III) in an aqueous solution of 1 M KCl and the current ratio of redox current peaks (Ipa/Ipc) was ≈ 1 for the modified electrode. This indicated that the modified electrode has s good reversibility and conductivity, wherefore; it was applied in the voltammetric filed. It was found that the modified electrode GP/ZnO NPs-GCE have a reasonable solubility and stability at various pH medium. Additionally, the sensitivity of the electrochemical analysis by cyclic voltammetric (CV) method is extensively subjected to the pH medium and the scan rate (SR). A couple of redox current peaks of K4[Fe(CN)6] in KCl solution was observed with a reversible process: Fe3+/Fe2+. Finally a good diffusion coefficient of electroactive species (D) for the new modified electrode was found in this study by chronoamperometry method using Cottrell equation.  相似文献

A glassy carbon (GC) surface modified with monolayer of 4-bromophenyl was examined as voltammetric electrode for some redox systems. The modified electrode exhibited very slow electron transfer in comparison to the unmodified surface by factors which varied with the redox systems. However, after scanning the modified electrode in 0.1 M tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate (TBABF4) in acetonitrile from 0.4 to −1.1 V vs. Ag/AgCl for 20–25 cycles, the modified electrode showed much faster electron transfer kinetics, e.g., the results for Fe(CN)6 3−/4− were approaching those observed with unmodified surfaces. The effect is attributed to an apparently irreversible structural change in the 4-bromophenyl monolayer, which increases the rate of electron tunneling. The transition to the conducting state is associated with electron injection into the monolayer and causes a significant decrease in the calculated HOMO-LUMO gap for the monolayer molecule. Once the monolayer is switched to the conducting state, it supports rapid electron exchange with the redox system, but not with dopamine, which requires adsorption to the electrode surface. A conductive surface modified electrode may have useful properties for electroanalytical applications and possibly in electrocatalysis. Correspondence: Abbas A. Sulfur-bridged calixthiophene formed a self-assembled mono-molecular layer on polycrystalline gold, and it regulated an electrochemical electron transfer by the host–guest interaction between the cavity and reactants. 1,7,13,19,25-Tetrathia[1.5](2,5)thiophenophane (thiacalix[5]thiophene) perfectly passivated the gold electrode for relatively large reversible metal complexes: [Fe(CN)6]4−/3− and [IrCl6]3−/2−. However, for mono-atomic ions, such as silver and some of the halogen ions, the electrode behaved reversibly. For copper reduction, a large activation overpotential was observed to induce an initial copper reduction in the cavity.  相似文献

Mercaptoundecanoic acid (MUA) and glutathione (GSH) self‐assembled monolayers were prepared on gold‐ wire microelectrode. Cyclic voltammetry was used to investigate the influence of temperature on electrochemical behaviors of Fe(CN)63?/4? and Ru(NH3)63+/2+ at these SAMs modified electrodes in aqueous solution. It is found that temperature shows great influence on electron transfer (ET) and mass transport (MT) for the two SAMs modified electrodes and the influence of temperature depends on the charge properties of the redox couples and terminal groups of SAMs and the structure of the monolayer on gold surface. The temperature can greatly increase MT rate of Fe(CN)63?/4? at both MUA and GSH modified electrodes. However, the increased MT rate doesn't have any effect on the CV's for Fe(CN)63?/4? /MUA system. For Ru(NH3)63+/2+ , temperature can greatly improve the electrochemical reaction in both MUA and GSH modified electrodes, which is ascribed to temperature‐induced diffusion and convection and the electrostatic interaction between Ru(NH3)63+/2+ and negatively charged carboxyl groups on the electrode surface.  相似文献

The surface of a gold disk electrode, for the first time, was modified with a self-assembled monolayer of a synthesized compound, ethyl [(methythio)carbonothioyl] glycinate (ECTG), for construction of an electrode sensitive to riboflavin (vitamin B2). The electrochemical properties of the monolayer assembled on the gold disk were investigated by cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Under the optimized conditions, the voltammetric peak currents resulting from vitamin B2 (VB2) species were linear for VB2 concentrations in the range from 10–6 to 10–2 M. The effect of pH, type of buffer solution and scan rate on the response of the modified electrode was studied. The constructed electrochemical sensor responses very well to VB2 in the presence of most common vitamins. Finally, the performance of the Au–ECTG modified electrode was successfully tested for electrochemical detection of VB2 in a pharmaceutical sample.  相似文献

A carotenoid self-assembled monolayer was prepared by dipping a gold electrode into a solution of 4-thioxo-β,β-caroten-4-one in acetonitrile. Electrochemistry of the surface layer was investigated by cyclic voltammetry in an aqueous solution. No electrochemical reaction was detected in the potential region between 0.5 and −0.6 V vs. SCE. The anodic reaction of adsorbed carotenoid occurs at 0.8 V, whereas the irreversible anodic desorption proceeds at 1.4 V in 0.01 M HClO4. Formation of the surface layer resulted in a decrease of the charging current as well as in a strong inhibition of the electron transfer reaction for species such as Fe(CN)63−, Ru(NH3)63+, and dissolved oxygen. Prolonged voltage cycling in the O2 reduction range induced some changes in the surface layer characteristics that were tentatively accounted for by the cross-linking of adsorbed molecules under the effect of transient oxygen radicals.  相似文献

Carbon nanotube chemically modified electrode (CNT-CME) was prepared by growing carbon nanotube (CNT) in situ on the pretreated graphite electrode (GE) via the catalytic chemical vapor deposition. The pretreated GE was prepared by ultrasonic immersion method using Ni(NO3)2 as the catalyst. The CNT growing on the CNT-CME was characterized by transmission electron microscope and scanning electron microscope. The obtained electrode electrochemical performance was characterized by cyclic voltammetry with the Na2SO4 solution and [Fe(CN)6]3−/[Fe(CN)6]4− solution. The results showed that the obtained electrode has good current responsive sensitivity and good testing result accuracy, indicating that the obtained electrode may have great application in electrochemical testing field.  相似文献

A newly modified electrode was prepared by mechanical immobilization of copper hexacyanoferrate (CuHCF) on a graphite electrode. The modified electrode was characterized by cyclic voltammetric experiments. The effect of different background electrolytes, pHs and scan rates on the electrochemical behaviour of the electrode has been evaluated. In NH4Cl two reversible redox peaks were observed. The first redox peak corresponding to Cu+/Cu2+ is observed only in this medium. The second redox peak corresponds to the Fe(CN)6 4–/Fe(CN)6 3– couple. Both anodic peaks were used for catalytic oxidation of ascorbic acid. As the anodic current for catalytic oxidation was proportional to the amount of ascorbic acid, an analytical method was developed for the determination of ascorbic acid in commercial samples.  相似文献

Combinations of bilirubin oxidase and metal complexes: [W(CN)8]3−/4−, [Os(CN)6]3−/4− and [Mo(CN)8]3−/4− (the formal potentials, E0′(M), being 0.320, 0.448, and 0.584 V vs. Ag|AgCl, respectively, at pH 7.0), allowed bioelectrocatalytic reduction of O2 to water at their formal potentials near neutral pH. The O2 reduction current appeared even at the standard potential of the O2/H2O redox couple, E0′(O2/H2O), when [Mo(CN)8]3−/4− was used at pH 7.4, though the magnitude was small. The magnitude of the bioelectrocatalytic current systematically decreased with the decrease in the potential difference between E0′(O2/H2O) and E0′(M). A limiting current as large as 17 mA/cm2 of a projected electrode surface area was obtained at 0.25 V (−0.37 V vs. E0′(O2/H2O)) for the O2 reduction at pH 7.0 with a carbon felt electrode modified with electrostatically entrapped bilirubin oxidase and [W(CN)8]3−/4− at the electrode rotation rate of 4000 rpm.  相似文献

A selective DNA sensing with zeptomole detection level is developed based on coulometric measurement of gold nanoparticle (AuNPs)-mediated electron transfer (ET) across a self-assembled monolayer on the gold electrode. After immobilization of a thiolated hairpin-structured DNA probe, an alkanethiol monolayer was self-assembled on the resultant electrode to block [Fe(CN)6 ]-3-/4in a solution from accessing the electrode. In the presence of DNA target, hybridization between the DNA probe and the DNA target breaks the stem duplex of DNA probe. Consequently, stem moiety at the 3′-end of the DNA probes was removed from the electrode surface and made available for hybridization with the reporter DNA-AuNPs conjugates (reporter DNA-AuNPs). The thiolated reporter DNA matches the stem moiety at the 3′-end of the DNA probe. AuNPs were then enlarged by immersing the electrode in a growth solution containing HAuCl 4 and H2O2 after the reporter DNA-AuNPs bound onto the electrode surface. The enlarged AuNPs on the electrode restored the ET between the electrode and the [Fe(CN)6]3 -/4- , as a result, amplified signals were achieved for DNA target detection using the coulometric measurement of Fe(CN)6 3- electro-reduction by prolonging the electrolysis time. The quantities of ET on the DNA sensor increased with the increase in DNA target concentration through a linear range of 3.0 fM to 1.0 pM when electrolysis time was set to 300 s, and the detection limit was 1.0 fM. Correspondingly, thousands of DNA (zeptomole) copies were detected in 10L samples. Furthermore, the DNA sensor showed excellent differentiation ability for single-base mismatch.  相似文献

Voltammetric behavior of dopamine (DA) on a gold electrode modified with the self-assembled monolayer (SAM) of N-acetylcysteine has been investigated, and one pair of well-defined redox peaks of dopamine is obtained at the SAM modified gold electrode. The oxidation peak current increases linearly with the concentration of dopamine in the range of  mol l−1. The detection limit is 8.0×10−7 mol l−1. This method will be applicable to the determination of dopamine in injection of dopamine hydrochloride, and the good recovery of dopamine is obtained. Furthermore, The SAM modified gold electrode can resolve well the voltammetric responses of dopamine and ascorbic acid (AA), so it can also be applied to the determination of dopamine in the presence of ascorbic acid.  相似文献

In this paper, a carbon ionic liquid electrode (CILE) was fabricated using ionic liquid 1-hexylpyridinium hexafluorophosphate as modifier, which was further in situ electrodeposited with graphene (GR) and gold nanoparticles step by step to get an Au/GR nanocomposite modified CILE. Myoglobin (Mb) was further immobilized on the Au/GR/CILE surface with Nafion film to get the modified electrode denoted as Nafion/Mb/Au/GR/CILE. Cyclic voltammetric experiments indicated that a pair of well-defined quasi-reversible redox peaks appeared in pH 3.0 phosphate buffer solution with the formal potential (E 0′) located at ?0.197 V (vs. saturated calomel electrode), which was the typical characteristics of Mb heme Fe(III)/Fe(II) redox couples. Thus, the direct electron transfer rate between Mb and the modified electrode was promoted due to the high conductivity and increased surface area of Au/GR nanocomposite present on electrode surface. Based on the cyclic voltammetric data, the electrochemical parameters of Mb on the modified electrode were calculated. The Mb-modified electrode showed excellent electrocatalytic activities towards the reduction of trichloroacetic acid and H2O2 with wider linear range and lower detection limit. Using GR and Au nanoparticles modified CILE, a new third-generation electrochemical Mb biosensor was constructed with good stability and reproducibility.  相似文献

This article aims to demonstrate an electrochemically stable and reliable gold electrode‐electrolyte system to develop an insect odorant receptor (Drosophila melanogaster Or35a) based bioelectronic nose. Cyclic voltammograms (CVs) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) of bare gold electrodes, after modification with the self‐assembled monolayer (SAM) of 6‐mercaptohexanoic acid (MHA) and after immobilization with Or35a integrated into the lipid bilayers of liposomes were conducted in the presence of four different redox probes. Potassium ferri/ferrocyanide [Fe(CN)6]3?/[Fe (CN)6]4? and hydroquinone (H2Q) redox probes revealed variable and irreversible signals at the time scale of our measurements, with atomic force microscopy (AFM) images and x‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) results suggesting gold surface etching due to the presence of CN? ions in case of [Fe(CN)6]3?/[Fe (CN)6]4?. Although the hexaammineruthenium complex showed stable electrochemical behaviour at all stages of biosensor development, changes in CV and EIS readings after each surface modifications were insignificant. PBS buffer as a non‐Faradaic medium, was found to provide reliable systems for electrochemical probing of modified gold electrodes with Or35a/liposomes in aqueous media. Using this system, we have shown that this novel biosensor can detect its known odorant E2‐hexenal selectively compared to methyl salicylate down to femtomolar concentration.  相似文献
