Potential energy surfaces for the (HFH)1 system that asymptotically lead to H1 + HF(1Σ+) or to H(2Sg) + HF+(2Π)) fragments are compared over a wide range of relative geometries by using the results of ab initio calculations via the CEPA method and DIM model calculations. Recent molecular beam experiments on H+ + HF suggest negligible vibrational excitation, strong rotational excitation and do not detect any charge-transfer effect. Analysis of the relative shapes of the surfaces as functions of all coordinates involved shows structural reasons for the experimental behaviour and suggests qualitative dynamical arguments for excluding the possibility of temporary charge-transfer intermediates.  相似文献

Steric effect in the energy transfer reaction of N(2)(A(3)Σ(u)(+)) + NO(X(2)Π) → NO(A(2)Σ(+)) + N(2)(X(1)Σ(g)(+)) has been studied under crossed beam conditions at a collision energy of ~0.07 eV by using an aligned N(2)(A(3)Σ(u)(+)) beam prepared by a magnetic hexapole. The emission intensity of NO(A(2)Σ(+)) has been measured as a function of the magnetic orientation field direction (i.e., alignment of N(2)(A(3)Σ(u)(+))) in the collision frame. A significant alignment effect on the energy transfer probability is observed. The shape of the steric opacity function turns out to be most reactive at the oblique configuration of N(2)(A(3)Σ(u)(+)) with an orientation angle of γ(v(R)) ~ 45° with respect to the relative velocity vector (v(R)), which has a good correlation with the spatial distribution of the 2pπ(g)* molecular orbital of N(2)(A(3)Σ(u)(+)). We propose the electron exchange mechanism in which the energy transfer probability is dominantly controlled by the orbital overlap between N(2)(2pπ(g)*) and NO(6σ).  相似文献

The quantum numbers of the vibrational levels for the 4Π state which perturb the νB = 14 and 17 levels of the B 2Σ+ state are assigned by an analysis of the vibrational dependence of the B 2Σ+4Π perturbation constants. The vibrational levels involved in the B 2Σ+4Π perturbation, (νB, νΠ) = (9, 1), (12, 4), (14, 7), (17, 12), and (18, 14), are consistent with the results of our recent ab initio calculation.  相似文献

利用SAC/SAC-CI方法,使用D95++、6-311++g及cc-PVTZ等基组,对BH分子的基态(X 1Σ+)、第一简并激发态(A 1Π)及第二激发态(B 1Σ+)的平衡结构和谐振频率进行了优化计算. 通过对三个基组计算结果的比较,得出了cc-PVTZ基组为三个基组中的最优基组的结论;使用cc-PVTZ基组,利用SAC的GSUM(group sum of operators)方法对基态(X 1Σ+), SAC-CI的GSUM方法对激发态(A 1ΠB 1Σ+)进行单点能扫描计算, 用正规方程组拟合Murrell-Sorbie函数,得到了相应电子态的完整势能函数;从得到的势能函数计算了与基态(X 1Σ+)、第一简并的激发态(A 1Π)和第二激发态(X 1Σ+)相对应的光谱常数(Be、αe、ωe 和ωeχe),结果与实验数据较为一致. 其中基态、第一激发态与实验数据吻合得较好.  相似文献

Resonance Raman spectra of CS2 are presented at excitation wavelengths of 204 and 200 nm. Both spectra show activity in the symmetric (ν1) stretch and bending (ν2) modes consistent with a bent, symmetrically stretched 1B2(1Σu+) upper state. In addition, these spectra show activity of the transition involving two quanta in the asymmetric (ν3) stretch as well as progressions in ν1 and ν2 based upon this asymmetric mode overtone.  相似文献

By using a supersonic mixing reaction chamber, the direct production of electronically excited NF(b 1Σ+) becomes feasible in the F-F2-NH3 system, for which a reaction mechanism is proposed. The quenching rate constants of NF(b 1Σ+) by DF and NH3 are calculated as kDF = (5.0 ± 2.2) × 10−13 and kNH3 = (2.8 ± 0.5) × 10−13 cm3/molecules. The maximum population of NF(b 1Σ+) in the supersonic flowfield is estimated to be on the order of 1013 molecules/cm3.  相似文献

The molecular constants of the A1Σ+ and X1Σ+ states of the KH and KD molecules have been determined using mass relations correspondent to a normal isotope shift. For the calculation we have used data of the laser-induced fluorescence spectrum by the Ar+ 4881 Å exciting line photographed in our laboratory, as well as previous data presented by other authors. From the spectroscopic terms, quantum-mechanical PMO-RKR-van der Waals hybrid potentials have been generated. Numerical calculations for the A1Σ+ and X1Σ+ states of the KH and KD species are comapred with quantum-mechanical values obtained by numerical solution of the radial Schrödinger equation. Vibrational wavefunctions appropriate to the potential curves yield values of Eυ and Bυ which are in close agreement with the experimental results. The probability distribution functions and Franck-Condon factors for the A1Σ+ ↔ X1Σ+ band system have also been determined. It is observed that the anomalous behaviour of the A state is clearly revealed with a changed anharmonicity for the lowest vibrational levels.  相似文献

We present the spin-orbit (SO) and Renner-Teller (RT) quantum dynamics of the spin-forbidden quenching O((1)D) + N(2)(X(1)Σ(g)(+)) → O((3)P) + N(2)(X(1)Σ(g)(+)) on the N(2)O X(1)A', ?(3)A", and b(3)A' coupled PESs. We use the permutation-inversion symmetry, propagate coupled-channel (CC) real wavepackets, and compute initial-state-resolved probabilities and cross sections σ(j(0)) for the ground vibrational and the first two rotational states of N(2), j(0) = 0 and 1. Labeling symmetry angular states by j and K, we report selection rules for j and for the minimum K value associated with any electronic state, showing that ?(3)A" is uncoupled in the centrifugal-sudden (CS) approximation at j(0) = 0. The dynamics is resonance-dominated, the probabilities are larger at low K, σ(j(0)) decrease with the collision energy and increase with j(0), and the CS σ(0) is lower than the CC one. The nonadiabatic interactions play different roles on the quenching dynamics, because the X(1)A'-b(3)A' SO effects are those most important while the ?(3)A"-b(3)A' RT ones are negligible.  相似文献

The electric dipole moment of the excited B1+ (υ′ = 0) state of MgO produced in a gas-phase reaction of Mg(1S) atoms and N2O is measured using the technique of Stark quantum-beat spectroscopy. It is shown to be |μυ′=0| = 5.94(24) D. The lifetime of the excited B1+ (υ′ = 0) state is determined as τ = 22.5(1.5) ns. Using laser excitation spectroscopy and by direct observation of the P(1) line splitting at high electric field strengths in the B1+−X1+ (0,0) system the ground state electric dipole moment is measured yielding |μυ=0| = 6.2(6) D. Furthermore an electric-field-induced Q branch is observed.  相似文献

In the present study we investigate the role played by the hyperfine structure of manganese in the cooling and magnetic trapping of MnH((7)Σ(+)). The effect of the hyperfine structure of Mn on the relaxation of the magnetically trappable maximally stretched low-field seeking state of MnH((7)Σ(+)) in collisions with (3)He is deduced from comparison between the results of the present approach and our previous nuclear spin free calculations. We show that our previous results are unchanged at the temperature of the buffer gas cooling experiment but find a new resonance at very low collision energy. The role played by the different contributions to the hyperfine diatomic Hamiltonian considered in this work as well as the effect of an applied magnetic field on this resonance are also analyzed.  相似文献

The vibrational and rotational molecular constants have been determined for the A1Σ+  X1Σ+ system of the isotopic potassium hydrides: KH and KD. From these experimental term values, isotopically combined PMO-RKR-van der Waals potentials are constructed, which are checked by direct integration of radial Schrödinger equation. As an additional check on the accuracy of the potentials, the wavefunctions were used to compute Bν, Dν, Hν and Lν values. The agreement between the calculated and experimental results is quite satisfactory. Franck-Condon overlap integrals and probability density distributions have been calculated. The anomalous behaviour of the A1Σ+ state may be observed in the probability density functions of the lowest vibrational levels.  相似文献

The spin-coupled VB theory is applied to the dipole moment function μ(R) of LiH(X1Σ+). A series of calculations is reported (1, 78, 127 and 188 spatial configurations) which demonstrates the rapid convergence of this property onto that given by accurate MO CI wavefunctions. The binding is essentially due to the exchange interaction between a heavily deformed Li valence orbital and an almost unchanged H(1s) function. The observed deformation of the Li(2s) orbital is due largely to acquisition of H(1s) character, and not to hydridisation.  相似文献

SeS radicals generated in a fast flow system were excited to their b0+, ν' = 0 vibronic state by absorption of Raman-shifted dye laser pulses at 1280 nm. From time-resolved measurements of the b0+ → X10+ fluorescence as a function of added gas pressure, the radiative lifetime of the b0+ = 0 state (τ0 = 400 ± 100 μs) and quenching rate constants for H2, D2, N2, CO, O2, and CO2 were deduced. Quenching of SeS(b0+, ν'= 0) by O2 is attributed to the near-resonant electronic- to-electronic energy-transfer process (1), SeS(b0+, ν'1 = 0) + O2(X3Σg, ν″1 = 0) ⇌ SeS(X10+, ν″f = 0) + O2(a1Δg, ν'f = 0)−77 cm−1, for which (k1 = (1.4±0.3) × 10−12 cm3 s−1 was obtained. On the assumption of detailed balancing, k−1 was calculated to be (3.0 ± 0.7) × 10−12cm3 s−1.  相似文献

Lifetimes of NF b 1Σ+ (2.33 ms) and a 1Δ (2.85 s) in solid argon have been determined by pulsed laser excitation of the b state. The integrated (0,0) band intensities of the b→X, b→a, and a→X transitions are 1.00, 2.9±0.6, and 2.7±0.6, in relative units. It is concluded that cascading from b 1Σ+ to a 1Δ is purely radiative within these error limits. While the b→X and a→X transition rates compare favorably with gas-phase data and theoretical calculations, the b→a transition rate is enhanced by four orders of magnitude in the matrix.  相似文献

The methane (CH(4)) hydrogen abstraction reaction by linear butadiynyl radical C(4)H (CCCCH) has been investigated by direct ab initio dynamics over a wide temperature range of 100-3000 K, theoretically. The potential energy surfaces (PESs) have been constructed at the CCSD(T)/aug-cc-pVTZ//BB1K/6-311G(d,p) levels of theory. Two different hydrogen abstraction channels by C(1) and C(4) of C(4)H (C(1)C(2)C(3)C(4)H) have been considered. The results indicate that the C(1) position of C(4)H is a more reactive site. The electron transfer behaviors of two possible channels are also analyzed by quasi-restricted orbital (QRO) in detail. The rate constants calculated by canonical variational transition-state theory (CVT) with the small-curvature tunneling correction (SCT) are in excellent agreement with available experimental values. The normal and three-parameter expressions of Arrhenius rate constants are also provided within 100-3000 K. It is expected to be helpful for further studies on the reaction dynamics behaviors over a wide temperature range where no experimental data is available so far.  相似文献

We report direct doubly differential (quantum state and angle-resolved) scattering measurements involving short-lived electronically excited molecules using crossed molecular beams. In our experiment, supersonic beams of nitric oxide and argon atoms collide at 90°. In the crossing region, NO molecules are excited to the A(2)Σ(+)state by a pulsed nanosecond laser, undergo rotationally inelastic collisions with Ar atoms, and are then detected 400 ns later (approximately twice the radiative lifetime of the A(2)Σ(+)state) by 1 + 1(') multiphoton ionization via the E(2)Σ(+) state. The velocity distributions of the scattered molecules are recorded using velocity-mapped ion imaging. The resulting images provide a direct measurement of the state-to-state differential scattering cross sections. These results demonstrate that sufficient scattering events occur during the short lifetimes typical of molecular excited states (~200 ns, in this case) to allow spectroscopically detected quantum-state-resolved measurements of products of excited-state collisions.  相似文献

From the spectroscopic experimental data available in the literature we have determined the mass-reduced Dunham coefficients for the A1Σ+X1Σ+ system of the isotopic species CsH and CsD. Based upon these results, for both ground and excited states of cesium hydride and deuteride we report new hybrid rotationless potential energy curves (PMO-RKR-van der Waals) up to the dissociation. As a consistency check on the accuracy of the potentials the eigenvalues were calculated by direct numerical integration of the radial Schrödinger equation and found to agree within the rms error 0.39 cm−1 (X1Σ+) and 0.41 cm−1 (A1Σ+) with the experimental vibrational energies. From the wavefunctions, the rotational constants Bυ, centrifugal distortion terms Dυ, Hυ and Lυ, Franck—Condon factors, and probability density distributions were obtained. The probability density distributions for the lowest vibrational levels of the A1Σ+ show an anharmonicity associated with the anomalous behavior of that state.  相似文献
