The potential method and Green's theorem are employed to construct various systems of hypersingular integral equations for the two-dimensional problem of diffraction of H-polarized electromagnetic waves by a dielectric cylinder of arbitrary cross-section with a longitudinally slotted metal coating. Their numerical solution is found by the method of mechanical quadratures using special interpolation formulas. The results are compared and directivity patterns are calculated for cylinders of elliptic and rectangular crosssection for various dimensions of the slots in the coating and plane-wave angles of incidence.Physics and Mechanics Institute, Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Summary The theory of diffraction of electromagnetic waves by an ultrasonic wave in a crystal is discussed above. Expressions are obtained for the diffraction field in the near and the far zones. In the near zone the system is shown to be describable by the scattering matrix S of a 2(N+1)-pole, thus enabling the matrix method of network theory to be used for in vestigating different kinds of cascade connection of such systems. The interaction of magnetic polarized electromagnetic wave with a resistive half-plane in magneto-ionic plasma is investigated. The method of transition boundary is used for the evaluation of the diffracted wave. The excitation of surface waves is examined in the medium and their diffracted fields are derived by using the diffraction theory for grazing incidence. The uniform field expressions are obtained with the aid of the uniform theory for evanescent waves. The behaviours of the derived scattered waves are studied numerically. 相似文献

This Letter treats the scattering of electromagnetic waves by an electrically charged spherical particle in near-field approximation. Particular attention is paid to the external intensity distribution at the outer edges of the particle. The difference between scattering by a charged sphere and an electrically neutral sphere is significant only when size parameters exceed unity. 相似文献
