Formulas have been obtained in the Bethe—Born approximation for the excitation cross section of atoms by electrons in a constant electric field. The influence of the electric field is reduced to the accumulation of momentum by the incident electron and the variation of the electronic configuration of the atom. The collision cross section is in the form of two components d and d¦, which correspond to collisions with transfers of the momentum components to the perpendicular and parallel electric field. The angular dependence of the cross section is determined by the anisotropy coefficients tT and¦. The brightness waves of ZnS-Cu, Mn phosphor were investigated and it was found that their shape changes from that characteristic for copper-activated phosphors to that characteristic for manganese-activated phosphors as a function of the magnitude of the voltage applied, the length of the pulses and the temperature. In order to explain the results it is assumed that simultaneously with the mechanism of electroluminescence, accepted for ZnS-Cu (ionization of activators; recombination and radiation delayed in phase compared with voltage), there exists an immediate recombination of the Cu activators in the barriers, which is accompanied by radiation in phase with the voltage.

The applicability of Tiller's considerations on the production of dislocations is proved. The density of dislocations appearing during impurity microsegregation increases with increasing rate of growth as a consequence of the corresponding change in the effective distribution coefficient. The real value of C at the microsegregation boundaries is at least twice as great as the average value of the concentration of impurities in the crystal in question.

A recently developed formula [R. Bukowski and B. Jeziorski, Phys. Rev. A46 (1992) 5437]. has been applied to estimate the soft-photon Lamb shift contribution to the energies of the muonic molecules pp, dd, tt, pd, pt and dt. The corresponding corrections to the dissociation energies for the excited P states of dd and dt have been found to be almost identical and equal to 0.048 meV. The magnitude of this stabilizing effect is too small to affect seriously the formation rates predictions.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden die Kopfwellen untersucht, die beim Auffallen einer harmonischen Schall-Kugelwelle auf die Ebene Grenzfläche zwischen zwei flüssigen Medien entstehen. Vorausgesetzt wird, daß die Grenzfläche schwach ist, d. h. daß die Geschwindigkeit der Schallwellen im Medium mit der Erregungsquelle nur um weniges kleiner ist als die Geschwindigkeit der Schallwellen im Medium ohne die Quelle.

The first theoretical solution is given of the spinning impact of an imperfectly elastic sphere on a rigid, imperfectly rough plane. The method of solution is based on the general static theory of the impact of rough bodies, elaborated by one of the authors in 1952 [5]. The problem leads to a non-linear differential equation, which can be solved only by an approximate numerical method. The results of the theory are in good agreement with the experiments carried out in 1947 [4].

The paper gives the experimental results of the team-work study of coloured pure and Ca doped NaCl and KC1 crystals. The mechanism of the formation ofR centres by coagulation ofF centres and of the formation ofZ centres fromF centres, cation vacancies and Ca ions is discussed. An alternative model forZ 3 centres is proposed. The possible connections between physical and chemical behaviour are indicated.

The process of the propagation of excitation energy in perturbed dielectric crystals with a weak bond between the atoms having zero permanent dipole moment is studied. It is shown that on certain assumptions this process of propagation can be regarded as the motion of a Frenkel exciton in the electrostatic field of the defect. Frenkel's exciton can be characterized in this case as a neutral polarizable particle having induced dipole moment equal to the change in the induced dipole moment of the crystal during the excitation of one of its atoms.

Nuclear emulsions were used to study the energy spectrum and forward-backward asymmetry of neutrons from the Co59(p,n) reaction forE p 6·5 MeV. It was found that the decay of the compound nucleus makes a maximum contribution of 50% to the reaction yield. Energies of some excited states of the Ni59 nucleus were also determined.

The rocking curves of Ge (111), (220), (333) for CuK 1 radiation were measured by means of the triple-crystal diffractometer. Perfect silicon single crystals, cut parallel to the (111) plane were used in the monochromator part of the triple-crystal diffractometer. The results prove the suitability of such a monochromator for studying diffraction patterns.
