In the first part we introduce the A-caloric approximation lemma, a parabolic analogue of the harmonic approximation lemma of De Giorgi [Sem. Scuola Normale Superiore Pisa (1960–1961); Lectures in Math., ETH Zürich, Birkhäuser, Basel, 1996] in the version of Simon. This allows to prove optimal partial regularity results for solutions in an elementary way, under minimal and natural assumptions. In the second part we provide estimates for the parabolic Hausdorff dimension of the singular sets of solutions; the proof makes use of parabolic fractional Sobolev spaces.  相似文献

The multigrid -cycle algorithm using the Richardson relaxation scheme as the smoother is studied in this paper. For second-order elliptic boundary value problems, the contraction number of the -cycle algorithm is shown to improve uniformly with the increase of the number of smoothing steps, without assuming full elliptic regularity. As a consequence, the -cycle convergence result of Braess and Hackbusch is generalized to problems without full elliptic regularity.

In this work, we study the existence and regularity of solutions for some partial functional integrodifferential equations in Banach spaces. We suppose that the undelayed part admits a resolvent operator in the sense given by Grimmer in [R. Grimmer, Resolvent operators for integral equations in a Banach space, Transaction of American Mathematical Society 273 (1982) 333–349]. The delayed part is assumed to be locally Lipschitz. Here we examine the partial regularity of minimizers of a functional used for image restoration in BV space. This functional is a combination of a regularized p-Laplacian for the part of the image with small gradient and a total variation functional for the part with large gradient. This model was originally introduced in Chambolle and Lions using the Laplacian. Due to the singular nature of the p-Laplacian we study a regularized p-Laplacian. We show that where the gradient is small, the regularized p-Laplacian smooths the image u, in the sense that uC1,α for some 0<α<1. This functional thus anisotropically smooths the image where the gradient is small and preserves edges via total variation where the gradient is large.  相似文献
