The problem of bending waves localized near the free edge of a transversely isotropic plate is investigated using the Ambartsumian higher-order plate theory which takes account of the transverse shears generated by flexural deformation. Unlike the first-order Reissner-Mindlin theory, which also takes account of transverse shears, Ambartsumian's analysis does not demand that plane normal cross-sections remain plane during bending. Within this analysis the existence of localized bending waves in transversely isotropic plates is established, and solutions of the dispersion equation obtained for different values of the elastic parameters.The analysis of frequencies of localized bending waves shows that for thick plates the effect of anisotropy can be considerable. For the particular case of vibrations of a narrow plate, from the long wave approximation a new beam vibration equation of the Timoshenko type is obtained for a transversally isotropic plate.  相似文献

在压电网络复合板机电耦合波动方程基础上,首先对在其中传播的弯曲波的波动特性进行了分析,发现压电网络复合板中同时存在两种不同频散特性的弯曲波,电感电阻并联型压电网络复合板中存在的两种弯曲波的频散曲线具有频率转向现象;在频率转向区,弯曲波的衰减常数或达到最大或迅速增大这一结论为压电网络复合板的减振降噪设计提供了参考。对压电网络复合板中的能量分析给出了这一结论的机理:即在频率转向区板中的机械能与电能能够进行最大的能量交换;在波动分析的基础上对压电网络复合板的隔声特性进行了分析,发现压电网络复合板隔声曲线上的低谷随外界电感值的变化能够发生移动或者消失,最后结合压电网络复合板的波动频散特性对复合板的隔声机理进行了分析,为设计压电网络复合板的隔声性能提供了理论参考。   相似文献

The nonlinear dynamic response and active vibration control of the piezoelectric functionally graded plate are analyzed in this paper. Based on higher-order shear plate theory and elastic piezoelectric theory, the nonlinear geometric and constitutive relations of the piezoelectric functionally graded plate are established, and then the nonlinear motion equations of the piezoelectric functionally graded plate are obtained through Hamilton's variational principle. The nonlinear active vibration control of the structure is carried out with adoption of the negative velocity feedback control algorithm. By applying finite difference method, the whole problem is solved by using iterative method synthetically. In numerical examples, the effects of mechanical load, electric load, the volume fraction and the geometric parameters on the dynamic response and vibration control of the piezoelectric FGM plate are investigated.  相似文献

This paper is a study of the dynamic response of an infinitely long thick strip plate subjected to an impulsive load. The plate is simply supported along the edges and resting on an elastic foundation. The problem is studied on the basis of a plate theory in which the effects of rotatory inertias and shear deformations are retained. Governing equations are solved by applying the methods of the Laplace transform with respect to time and the Fourier transform with respect to a longitudinal space variable. Dynamic coefficients (maximum dynamic displacement/static displacement, maximum dynamic bending moment/static bending moment) are calculated numerically for plates subjected to a step line load and shown graphically for various values of the parameters included.  相似文献

Free vibration of a flexible plate floating on the free surface of a perfect incompressible finite-depth heavy liquid are studied. The problem is solved in the shallow water approximation. Conditions for the existence of discrete frequencies below the waveguide cutoff frequency and associated localized (nonpropagating) liquid vibration modes in the plate-liquid system are determined.  相似文献

考虑了压电传感器(PZT)与板之间的耦合作用,从理论上研究了单个压电传感器激发时产生单模式兰姆波的频率调节方法,实验给出了模式选择在兰姆波结构健康监测中的应用. 在板材、板厚以及PZT尺寸一定的情况下,从理论上能够预测到作为频率函数的各兰姆波模式的幅值变化. 根据某特定兰姆波模式的幅值最大而其他模式幅值相对最小时所对应的频率,即可识别出该兰姆波模式优化的激发频率. 数值仿真验证了理论的有效性以及单模式兰姆波选择的可能性. 在不同的激发频率下,分别激发了优化的A0 模式,优化的S0模式以及共存的A0和S0模 关键词: 兰姆波 压电传感器 激发频率 结构健康监测  相似文献

In this paper, the existence theorem of localized shear horizontal acoustic waves in a piezoelectric plate with two semi-infinite same/different coatings is established. Some properties of the waves in the waveguide structures are also discussed. Free vibration analysis of annular moderately thick plates integrated with piezoelectric layers is investigated in this study for different combinations of soft simply supported, hard simply supported and clamped boundary conditions at the inner and outer edges of the annular plate on the basis of the Levinson plate theory (LPT). The distribution of electric potential along the thickness direction in the piezoelectric layer is assumed as a sinusoidal function so that the Maxwell static electricity equation is approximately satisfied. The differential equations of motion are solved analytically for various boundary conditions of the plate. In this study the closed-form solution for characteristic equations, displacement components of the plate and electric potential are derived for the first time in the literature. To demonstrate the accuracy of the present solution, comparison studies is first carried out with the available data in the literature and then natural frequencies of the piezoelectric coupled annular plate are presented for different thickness-radius ratios, inner-outer radius ratios, thickness of piezoelectric, material of piezoelectric and boundary conditions. Present analytical model provides design reference for piezoelectric material application, such as sensors, actuators and ultrasonic motors.  相似文献

Using the finite element method (FEM), we investigate the existence of absolute band gaps and localized modes associated with a guide in thin films of phononic crystals. Two different structures based on two-dimensional (2D) phononic crystals are considered, namely a free standing plate and a plate deposited on a silicon substrate. The 2D phononic crystal is constituted by a square array of cylindrical holes drilled in an active piezoelectric PZT5A matrix. We demonstrate the existence of absolute band gap in the band structure of the phononic crystal plate and, then, the possibility of guided modes inside a linear defect created by removing one row of air holes. In the case of the supported plate, we show the existence of an absolute forbidden band in the plate modes when the thickness of the substrate significantly exceeds the plate thickness.  相似文献

The interaction (hybridization) of different types of acoustic waves of zero and higher orders propagating in lithium niobate piezoelectric plates is theoretically investigated. Different crystallographic orientations of the plates and different directions of wave propagation in them are considered. It is shown that, for an electrically free plate with the propagation direction along any of the crystallographic axes, the dispersion curves have intersection points and hybridization is absent. However, when the propagation direction slightly changes or when one of the plate surfaces is short-circuited, the dispersion curves separate and the waves become coupled. A quantitative coefficient characterizing the degree of wave hybridization with allowance for both mechanical and electric coupling is introduced. It is shown that the dependence of this coefficient on the product of the plate thickness by the wave frequency determines the extent of separation of the dispersion curves of interacting waves. The phenomenon under study is of both fundamental and practical interest, for example, in connection with the problem of an efficient excitation of nonpiezoactive acoustic waves in piezoelectric plates.  相似文献

For beam bending in transversely isotropic piezoelectric media, the reciprocal theorem and the general solution of piezoelasticity are applied in a novel way to obtain the appropriate stress and mixed boundary conditions accurate to all orders for the beam of general edge geometry and loadings. By generalizing the method developed by Gregory and Wan, a set of necessary conditions on the edge-data for the existence of a rapidly decaying solution is established. The prescribed edge-data of the beam must satisfy these conditions in order that they could generate a decaying state within the beam. When stress and mixed conditions are imposed on the beam edge, these decaying state conditions for the case of bending deformation of piezoelectric beam are derived explicitly. They are then used for the correct formulation of boundary conditions for the beam theory solution (or the interior solution). Besides, an analytical solution of elastic beam is formulated to verify validity of our boundary conditions. For the stress data, our boundary conditions coincide with those obtained in conventional forms of beam theories. More importantly, the appropriate boundary conditions with two sets of mixed edge-data are obtained for the first time.  相似文献

研究脉冲热能沉积薄板中,由于板厚方向的温度梯度和空间径向温度Gauss分布状态,所产生的辐射热能引起的弯曲运动效应。文章从非耦合的经典的Bernoulli—Euler理论出发,得到热弯曲动力学方程,求解初值问题,利用Laplace变换和Hankel变换,针对短脉冲和连续热辐射进行了分析,并给出热弹性弯曲波的数值计算结果。与文献[8]的实验结果比较,二者是相符的。  相似文献

Reflection of zero-order normal acoustic waves excited in a thin piezoelectric plate from a set of conducting strips of a finite thickness is studied both theoretically and experimentally. The analysis shows that the effects produced by the short-circuiting of the plate surface and by the elastic load on the impedance ratio of adjacent plate segments are in opposition to each other. These effects can be commensurable, and, hence, for each wave type, there is a certain value of the strip thickness at which the reflection coefficient becomes equal to zero. The experimental results obtained for a shear horizontal normal wave (an SH 0 wave) propagating in a lithium niobate plate are in good agreement with the theory and justify the use of the equivalent-circuit model in analyzing the properties of reflectors of the type under study.  相似文献

Abstract

The Lamb wave dispersion in a PZT/Metal/PZT sandwich plate is investigated by employing the exact linear equations of electro-elastic waves in piezoelectric materials within the scope of the plane-strain state. It is assumed that at the interfaces between the piezoelectric face layers and metal core layer, shear-spring and normal-spring type imperfect conditions are satisfied. The degree of this imperfectness is estimated through the corresponding shear-spring and normal-spring type parameters which appear in the contact condition characterizing the transverse and normal displacements’ discontinuity. The corresponding dispersion equation is derived, and as a result of the numerical solution to this equation, the dispersion curves are constructed for the first and second lowest modes in the cases where the material of the face layers is PZT and the material of the middle layer is Steel (St). Consequently, for the PZT/St/PZT sandwich plate, the study of the influence of the problem parameters such as the piezoelectric and dielectric constants, layer thickness ratios, non-dimensional shear-spring, and normal-spring type parameters, is carried out. In particular, it is established that the imperfectness of the contact between the layers of the plate causes a decrease in the values of the wave propagation velocity.  相似文献

In this paper, surface effects on the dispersion characteristics of elastic waves propagating in an infinite piezoelectric nanoplate are investigated by using the surface piezoelectricity model. Based on the surface piezoelectric constitutive theory, the presence of surface stresses and surface electric displacements exerting on the boundary conditions of the piezoelectric nanoplate is taken into account in the modified mechanical and electric equilibrium relations. The partial wave technique is employed to obtain the general solutions of governing equations, and the dispersion relations with surface effects are expressed in an explicit closed form. The impacts of surface piezoelectricity, residual surface stress and plate thickness on the propagation properties of elastic waves are analyzed in detail. Numerical results show that the dispersion behaviors in piezoelectric nanoplates are size-dependent, and there exists a critical plate thickness above which the surface effects may vanish.  相似文献

For plate bending and stretching problems in piezoelectric materials, the reciprocal theorem and the general solution of piezoelasticity are applied in a novel way to obtain the appropriate mixed boundary conditions accurate to all order. A decay analysis technique is used to establish necessary conditions that the prescribed data on the edge of the plate must satisfy in order that it should generate a decaying state within the plate. For the case of axisymmetric bending and stretching of a circular plate, these decaying state conditions are obtained explicitly for the first time when the mixed conditions are imposed on the plate edge. They are then used for the correct formulation of boundary conditions for the interior solution. In systems with rotational symmetry, bending modes occur in doubly-degenerate pairs with two independent vibration modes for each repeated natural frequency. In circular plates, the standing waves of two such degenerate bending modes can be superposed with a 1/4 period separation in time to yield a traveling wave response. This is the principle of a traveling wave ultrasonic motor (TWUM), in which a traveling bending wave in a stator drives the rotor through a friction contact. The stator contains teeth to increase the speed at the contact region, and these affect the rotational symmetry of the plate. When systems with rotational symmetry are modified either in their geometry, or by spatially varying their properties or boundary conditions, some mode-pairs split into singlet modes having distinct frequencies. In addition, coupling between some pairs of distinct unperturbed modes also causes quasi-degeneracies in the perturbed modes, which leads their frequency curves to approach and veer away in some regions of the parameter space. This paper discusses the effects of tooth geometry on the behavior of plate modes under free vibration. It investigates mode splitting and quasi-degeneracies and derives analytic expressions to predict these phenomena, using variational methods and a degenerate perturbation scheme for the solution to the plate’s discrete eigenvalue problem; these expressions are confirmed by solving the discrete eigenvalue problem of the plate with teeth.  相似文献
