This paper deals with the detection of a buried object beneath a rough surface in a two-dimensional configuration. A new method for detecting buried objects from wide-band, near-field, multi-static data is suggested. The so-called near-field configuration corresponds to a set of transmitters and receivers located along a line segment in the vicinity of the surface. The detection method proposed here is based on a correlation of the scattered fields from two sets of data associated with two transmitters. A theoretical study in the framework of a low-frequency approximation predicts an enhancement of the correlation peak resulting from cross-terms combining surface and target contributions, as confirmed by rigorous computations. The performance of the detector is tested with respect to both polarization and frequency through computation of the receiver operating characteristic curves. 相似文献

Abstract The scattered field of Gaussian beam scattering from arbitrarily shaped dielectric objects with rough surfaces is investigated for optical and infrared frequencies by using the plane wave spectrum method and the Kirchhoff approximation, and the formulae for the coherent and incoherent scattering cross sections are obtained theoretically based on geometrical optics and tangent plane approximations. The infrared laser scattering cross sections of a rough sphere are calculated at 1.06 μm, and the influence of the beam size is analysed numerically. It is shown that when the beam size is much larger than the size of the object, the results in this paper will be close to those of an incident plane wave. 相似文献

A quick and exact imaging method for one-dimensional layered rough surfaces is proposed in this paper to study the scattering characteristics of a layered medium that exists widely in nature.The boundary integral equations of layered rough surfaces are solved by using the propagation-inside-layer expansion combined with the forward and backward spectral acceleration method(PILE+FB-SA),and the back scattering data are obtained.Then,a conventional synthetic aperture radar(SAR) imaging procedure called back projection method is used to generate a two-dimensional(2D) image of the layered rough surfaces.Combined with the relative dielectric permittivity of realistic soil,the random rough surfaces with Gauss spectrum are used to simulate the layered medium with rough interfaces.Since the back scattering data are computed by using the fast numerical method,this method can be used to study layered rough surfaces with any parameter,which has a great application value in the detection and remote sensing areas. 相似文献

Two-photon laser-induced fluorescence measurements of transition frequencies and lifetimes of laser-excited Na atoms are presented as a function of distance (2-3nm) to metal surfaces of different roughness. We characterized the surface roughness by fitting a Gaussian height-height correlation function to force microscopic data. An unusually small red shift of the Na transition frequency of a few hundred megahertz was observed. In the framework of a quantum-mechanical linear optical response formalism we fitted the lifetime and the frequency shift data simultaneously to obtain effective parameters of a selvedge dielectric function. In that way we are able to take into account both surface roughness and nonlocality, which in turn result in the observed small frequency shifts. 相似文献

本文提出了基于Walsh-Hadamard变换的单像素成像方案, 并从理论分析、模拟仿真和实验验证三方面分别验证了该方案的可行性. 实验上实现了350-900 nm波段对 距离500 m和5000 m自然目标的128×128 像素成像, 成像速度0.5帧/秒. 研究并讨论了单像素相机方案与计算量子成像方案的差异与共性, 在此基础上分析了基于Walsh-Hadamard变换的单像素成像方案的优势与局限性. 研究表明本方案同时适用于单像素相机和计算量子成像. 由于单像素成像适用于应用在如红外热成像、微波成像等波段, 因此在阵列探测器灵敏度或工艺达不到要求时存在优势. 本文所提出的方案使得单像素成像技术向实际应用迈进了一步. 相似文献

The ensemble-averaged field scattered by a smooth, bounded, elastic object near a penetrable surface with small-scale random roughness is formulated. The formulation consists of combining a perturbative solution for modeling propagation through the rough surface with a transition (T-) matrix solution for scattering by the object near a planar surface. All media bounding the rough surface are assumed to be fluids. By applying the results to a spherical steel shell buried within a rough sediment bottom, it is demonstrated that the ensemble-averaged "incoherent" intensity backscattered by buried objects illuminated with shallow-grazing-angle acoustic sources can be well enhanced at high frequencies over field predictions based on scattering models where all environmental surfaces are planar. However, this intensity must compete with the incoherent intensity scattered back from the interface itself, which can defeat detection attempts. The averaged "coherent" component of the field maintains the strong evanescent spectral decay exhibited by flat interface predictions of shallow-angle measurements but with small deviations. Nevertheless, bistatic calculations of the coherent field suggest useful strategies for improving long-range detection and identification of buried objects. 相似文献

The growth of objects with rough surfaces is a common phenomenon. We describe several models used in the study of the temporal evolution of fluctuating interfaces and then we explain the dynamical scaling in this class of growth models with self-affine surfaces. The recent progress in this field is reviewed. Much emphasis is put on roughness properties and in particular on a possible kinetic roughening transition — a nonequilibrium analog of the thermal roughening transition. Single pixel imaging is a novel imaging technique, and it becomes a focus of research in recent years due to its advantages such as high lateral resolution and high robustness to noise. Imaging speed is one of the critical shortcomings, which limits the further development and applications of this technique. In this paper, we focus on the issues of imaging efficiency of a single pixel imaging system. We propose semi-continuous wavelet transform(SCWT) protocol and introduce the protocol into the single pixel imaging system. The proposed protocol is something between continuous wavelet transform and discrete wavelet transform, which allows the usage of those smooth(usually non-orthogonal, and they have advantages in representing smooth signals compressively, which can improve the imaging speed of single pixel imaging) wavelets and with limited numbers of measurements. The proposed imaging scheme is studied, and verified by simulations and experiments. Furthermore, a comparison between our proposed scheme and existing imaging schemes are given. According to the results, the proposed SCWT scheme is proved to be effective in reconstructing a image compressively. 相似文献

Effect of spatial dispersion on the classical field enhancement factors near a rough surface is studied in detail for two different types of the material medium - (i) metallic medium in hydrodynamic approximation, (ii) excitonic medium in the effective mass approximation. A general perturbation approach based on Ewald-Oseen extinction theorem is used to obtain fields to different orders in the surface roughness parameter. 微生物细胞的傅里叶变换近红外光谱(Fourier transform near infrared spectroscopy,FT-NIR)反映了细胞成分的分子振动信息,具有的高度特异性,为寻求一种基于FT-NIR的微生物快速鉴定方法提供了可能。文章通过采集1株酵母和5株细菌标准菌株的近红外漫反射光谱,采用主成分分析法对光谱数据进行了分析,构建了基于FT-NIR的微生物快速鉴定模型。分析结果表明:①光谱鉴别指数Dy1y2值范围为1.61±1.05~10.97±6.65,重现性良好;②建立的基于线性判别分析模型的鉴定准确率为100%,基于人工神经网络模型的预测结果平均相对误差为5.75%,预测准确率高。研究结果证实该方法可以实现基于FT-NIR结合多元数学统计方法的微生物快速鉴定,并具有广阔的产业应用前景。 相似文献

When solving scattering or emissivity problems for rough surfaces, the shadowing effect is often taken into account. Furthermore, for rough surfaces with large root mean square slope, surface reflections of the incidence or emission ray should not be neglected, especially at large observation angles. In this paper, a model of the monostatic statistical illumination function for one-dimensional rough surfaces with single surface reflection is developed, which is based on the Smith illumination function. A Monte Carlo ray-tracing algorithm is used to evaluate the accuracy of the present model. It is shown that, when neglecting the correlation between heights and slopes of the surface, the present model agrees quite well with the Monte Carlo result. Moreover, the result is improved if the correlation between heights and slopes is taken into account. For practical purposes, an empirical factor is introduced to improve the performance of the uncorrelated first-order illumination function to avoid computing the correlated one, which takes a long computation time. Besides, the first-order illumination function is significant at large observation angles, which could be promising to overcome problems in models of surface infrared emissivity where underestimation occurs compared with experimental measurements. 相似文献

Wetting states and processes attract plenty of interest of scientific and industrial societies. Air entrainment, i.e.,wetting failure, on smooth plate in wetting process has been investigated carefully before. Liquid bath entries of "rough"silicon wafers are studied experimentally in the present work, and the air entrainment condition is analyzed specially with the lubrication theory. The roughness effects on the moving contact lines are therefore explored. The contact line pinning is found to be the main reason for the dynamically enhanced hydrophobicity of rough surface, which implies an effective microscopic contact angle of θ_e = θ_Y + 90° where θY is the Young's contact angle of the material. Our results suggest that the solid surfaces can be considered as hydrophobic ones for a wide range of dynamic process, since they are normally rough. The work can also be considered as a starting point for investigating the high-speed advancing of moving contact line on rough surfaces. 相似文献

An increase in Raman intensity of surface phonon polaritons has been observed in free-standing thin slabs (thickness ~ 7 μm) of single- crystal ZnTe with rough surfaces by a conventional Raman-scattering technique at room temperature. The samples with various root-mean- square roughness heights have been prepared by making use of final polishing powders with different mean-grit sizes, and the surface roughness has been confirmed by measuring the intensities of the diffuse scattering of the laser light. The increase of the Raman intensity is proportional to the mean-square height of the surface roughness, and the shift of the dispersion relation is also proportional to it. The frequency shift is explained by a perturbation theory of the surface-roughness-induced scattering. 相似文献

A time domain method for calculating the acoustic impulse response of impenetrable, rough, two-dimensional (2D) surfaces is presented. The method is based on an extension of the wedge assemblage (WA) method to 2D surfaces and objects. Like the WA method for one-dimensional (1D) surfaces, the approach for 2D surfaces uses Biot's and Tolstoy's exact solution for the impulse response of an infinite impenetrable wedge [J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 29, 381-391 (1957)] as its fundamental building block. The validity of the WA method for backscattering from 2D sea surfaces is assessed through comparisons with calculations based on Milder's operator expansion (OE) method [J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 89, 529-541 (1991)]. Average intensities for backscattering from 2D fully developed seas (20 m/s wind speed) were computed by the WA and OE methods using 50 surface realizations and compared at 11 frequencies between 100 and 200 Hz. A single, moderately low grazing angle of incidence (20 degrees) and several scattered grazing angles (90 degrees, 45 degrees, 20 degrees , and 10 ) were considered. Excellent overall agreement between the two models was obtained. The utility of the WA method as a tool to describe the physics of the scattering process is also discussed. 相似文献
