The relation between the set of transformations of the quantum plane and the quantum universal enveloping algebra U q (u(2)) is investigated by constructing representations of the factor algebra U q (u(2))* . The noncommuting coordinates of , on which U q (2) * U q (2) acts, are realized as q-spinors with respect to each U q (u(2)) algebra. The representation matrices of U q (2) are constructed as polynomials in these spinor components. This construction allows a derivation of the commutation relations of the noncommuting coordinates of directly from properties of U q (u(2)). The generalization of these results to U q (u(n)) and is also discussed.  相似文献

An axiomatic theory is formulated which describes a class of yes-no experiments, involving a fixed basic source, a fixed basic detector, and various filters. It is assumed that all filters considered can be constructed from a setP of primitive filters by composition and stochastic selection. Two physically plausible axioms are formulated which allow us to define the concept of asystem in the present context (cf. Definition2.4). To each system we can attach anorder unit module ( ) (cf. Definition5.1) whereby ( ) is acomplete, separable order unit space. Two additional axioms are proposed which have the effect that the space ( ) becomes isomorphic to the order unit space underlying a JB-algebra, at least in the case where isfinite dimensional (cf. In this work we review the derivation of Dirac and Weinberg equations based on a principle of indistinguishability for the (j,0) and (0,j) irreducible representations (irreps) of the homogeneous Lorentz group (HLG). We generalize this principle and explore its consequences for other irreps containing j1. We rederive Ahluwalia–Kirchbach equation using this principle and conclude that it yields equations of motion for any representation containing spin j and lower spins. We also use the obtained generators of the HLG for a given representation to explore the possibility of the existence of first order equations for that representation. We show that, except for j= , there exists no Dirac-like equation for the (j,0)(0,j) representation nor for the ( , ) representation. We rederive Kemmer–Duffin–Petieau (KDP) equation for the (1,0)( , )(0,1) representation by this method and show that the (1, )( ,1) representation satisfies a Dirac-like equation which describes a multiplet of with masses m and m/2, respectively.  相似文献

We analyze the influence of thermal and frozen-in disorder on the flux line (FL) density close to the lower critical fieldH c1. Arguments which consider the steric repulsion of fluctuating FLs give with the roughness exponent of a single FL andd the space dimensionality. We show by a phenomenological scaling approach and a renormalization group treatment, that this is correct only fordd c =2/–1, i.e. for . Ford>d c the steric FL repulsion at scales more than some critical one is irrelevant and . For disordered superconductorsd c =2 and ford=2, 3. A Monte-Carlo analysis on production and decay of supersymmetric charginos at a future photon-collider is presented. A photon collider offers the possibility of a direct branching-ratio measurement. In this study, the process has been considered for a specific mSUGRA scenario. Various backgrounds and a parameterised detector simulation have been included. Lu has shown that any dynamical r-matrix for the pair ( , ) naturally induces a Poisson homogeneous structure on G/U. She also proved that if is complex simple, is its Cartan subalgebra and r is quasitriangular, then this correspondence is in fact one-to-one. In this Letter we find some general conditions under which the Lu correspondence is one-to-one. Then we apply this result to describe all triangular Poisson homogeneous structures on G/U for a simple complex group G and its reductive subgroup U containing a Cartan subgroup.  相似文献

An explicit construction in a manifestly Lorentz-invariant and cyclically symmetric form is given for a three-hadron (H) coupling through their respective (q ) constituents interacting via a quark triangle loop under the most general conditions of unequal mass kinematics atboth the elementary quark and composite-hadron levels. The only ansatz employed is that theHq vertex function H at each vertexi is a function of i , the relative momentumtransverse to the corresponding hadron momentumP i, an assumption which can be justified from several independent angles. The resulting structure , withD( ) being a model-independent function, has proved crucial for an explicit integration over the time-like component of the loop momentum, and thus provided an analytical, cyclically symmetric structure free of overlapping pole singularities. We prove the almost sure existence of a pure point spectrum for the two-dimensional Landau Hamiltonian with an unbounded Anderson-like random potential, provided that the magnetic field is sufficiently large. For these models, the probability distribution of the coupling constant is assumed to be absolutely continuous. The corresponding densityg has support equal to , and satisfies , for some > 0. This includes the case of Gaussian distributions. We show that the almost sure spectrum is , provided the magnetic field B0. We prove that for each positive integer n, there exists a field strength B n , such that for all B>B n , the almost sure spectrum is pure point at all energies except in intervals of width about each lower Landau level , for m < n. We also prove that for any B0, the integrated density of states is Lipschitz continuous away from the Landau energiesE n (B). This follows from a new Wegner estimate for the finite-area magnetic Hamiltonians with random potentials.  相似文献

We show that the inclusion of a term C abcd C abcd in the action can remove the recently described anisotropic singularity occurring on the hypersurface F () = 0 of scalar-tensor theories of gravity of the type
preserving, by construction, all of their isotropic solutions. We show that, in principle, a higher order term of this type can arise from considerations about the renormalizability of the semiclassical approach to the theory. Such result brings again into consideration the quintessential models recently proposed based in a conformally coupled scalar field with potential , that have been discharged as unrealistic precisely by their anisotropic instabilities on the hypersurface F () = 0.  相似文献

The pion photopair production cross section near nucleon resonances of spin 3/2 has been calculated in the-meson dominance model, including particle spin correlation; the expressions for the angular and energy distribution have been derived, as well as the invariantmass distribution for the system, together with an expression for the asymmetry coefficient arising from the linear polarization of the photon. These results are compared with measurements at-ray energies of 1, 2.8, and 4.7 GeV. A general class of Lorentzian metrics, , , with any Riemannian manifold, is introduced in order to generalize classical exact plane fronted waves. Here, we start a systematic study of their main geodesic properties: geodesic completeness, geodesic connectedness and multiplicity causal character of connecting geodesics. These results are independent of the possibility of a full integration of geodesic equations. Variational and geometrical techniques are applied systematically. In particular, we prove that the asymptotic behavior of H(x,u) with x at infinity determines many properties of geodesics. Essentially, a subquadratic growth of H ensures geodesic completeness and connectedness, while the critical situation appears when H(x,u) behaves in some direction as , as in the classical model of exact gravitational waves.  相似文献
