The effect of a magnetic field on phase transitions in the Heisenberg ferromagnet Cu(NH4)2Br4·2H2O is investigated. It is found that the singularity shift of the susceptibility χ(P, T) in a magnetic field is approximated by power functions with the indexes ω = 2.5 and ? = 0.58.  相似文献

The Curie-Weiss constant θ of the quasi b.c.c., S = 12, Heisenberg ferromagnets, (NH4)2 Cu Br4 · 2H2 O and Rb2 Cu Br4 · 2H2 O, have been derived from measurements of the susceptibility in the paramagnetic region (4.2 < T < 100 K) and of the high-field magnetization curves at T = 4.2 K (TTc ? 2.3). The Tcθ values obtained point to the presence of further neighbour interactions considerably stronger than previously assumed. The effective number of equivalently interacting magnetic neighbours is estimated to be at least seventeen.  相似文献

The magnetic susceptibility of the layered compounds (CH2)3(NH3)2FeCl2Br2 and (CH2)6(NH3)2FeCl2Br2 has been measured in the range 80 < T < 300 K. The results follow a Curie-Weiss behavior in the range 120 < T < 300 K but are field dependent for T < 120 K. The results are interpreted in terms of a two-dimensional antiferromagnetic interaction which is canted. A comparison with the corresponding pure chloride compounds is given.  相似文献

Structures of several premixed ethylene-oxygen-argon rich flat flames burning at 50 mbar have been established by using molecular beam mass spectrometry in order to investigate the effect of CO2, or NH3, or H2O addition on species concentration profiles. The aim of this study is to examine the eventual changes of profiles of detected hydrocarbon intermediates which could be considered as soot precursors (C2H2, C4H2, C5H4, C5H6, C6H2, C6H4, C6H6, C7H8, C6H6O, C8H6, C8H8, C9H8 and C10H8). The comparative study has been achieved on four flames with an equivalence ratio (f) of 2.50: one without any additive (F2.50), one with 15% of CO2 replacing the same quantity of argon (F2.50C), one with 3.3% of NH3 in partial replacement of argon (F2.50N) and one with 13% of H2O in replacement of the same quantity of argon (F2.50H). The four flat flames have similar final flame temperatures (1800 K).CO2, or NH3, or H2O addition to the fresh gas inlet causes a shift downstream of the flame front and thus flame inhibition. Endothermic processes CO2 + H = CO + OH and H2O + H = H2 + OH are responsible of the reduction of the hydrocarbon intermediates in the CO2 and H2O added flames through the supplementary formation of hydroxyl radicals. It has been demonstrated that such processes begin to play at the end of the flame front and becomes more efficient in the burnt gases region.The replacement of some Ar by NH3 is responsible only for a slight decrease of the maximum mole fraction of C2H2, but NH3 becomes much more efficient for C4H2 and C5 to C10 species. Moreover, the efficiency of NH3 as a reducing agent of C5 to C10 intermediates is larger than that of CO2 and H2O for equal quantities added.  相似文献

The magnetic phase diagram of the monoclinic antiferromagnet MnBr24H2O (obtained from differential magnetization measurements) is presented for temperatures down to T = 0.3 K, and for applied magnetic fields parallel to the crystallographic axes a', b and c. For Hc an unusual behaviour is observed below T ≈ 0.55 K where the antiferro-paramagnetic boundary apparently splits into three others. It is shown that our critical fields extrapolated to T = 0 are consistent with a recent theory proposed by Becerra and Ferreira.  相似文献

Using the 2,5-bis(2-pyridyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazole (bptd), we recently prepared [Cu2(bptd) (H2O) Cl4] and [Ni2(bptd)2 (H2O)4] Cl4, 3H2O in which the magnetic centres are connected through one diazine+one chloro and two diazine ligand bridges, respectively. These two compounds are the first examples that show null intramolecular magnetic interactions despite M-M distances close to 3.7 Å within perfectly planar edifices:Down to , [Cu2(bptd)Cl4(H2O)] is paramagnetic while, below Tt, half of the Cu2+ions interact, leading to residual paramagnetism of one Cu2+/f.u. Magnetic susceptibility measurements, EPR and pulsed EPR study indicate the original intermolecular nature of AF exchanges.[Ni2(bptd)2(H2O)4]Cl4·3H2O susceptibility obeys a Curie-law involving pure paramagnetism. Moreover, its EPR spectrum can be interpreted on the basis of virtual S=1 monomers. Below 70 K, Zero Field Splitting (D∼275 G) due to dipolar interactions without magnetic exchanges could be responsible for the LT spectra splitting. For both compounds, the thia role is suggested as partially responsible for the null-in-plane magnetic exchanges.  相似文献

The chemical preparation, the calorimetric studies and the crystal structure are given for two new organic sulfates NH3(CH2)5NH3SO4 1.5H2O (DAP-S) and NH3(CH2)9NH3SO4·H2O (DAN-S). DAP-S is monoclinic P21/n with unit cell dimensions: a=11.9330(2) Å; b=10.9290(2) Å; c=17.5260(2) Å; β=101.873(1)°; V=2236.77(6) Å3; and Z=8. Its atomic arrangement is described as inorganic layers of units and water molecules separated by organic chains. DAN-S is monoclinic P21/c with unit cell parameters: a=5.768(2) Å; b=25.890(10) Å; c=11.177(5) Å; β=115.70(4)°; V=1504.0(11) Å3 and Z=4. Its structure exhibits infinite chains, parallel to the [100] direction where the organic cations are interconnected. In both structures a network of strong and weak hydrogen bonds connects the different components in the building of the crystal.  相似文献

The copper NMR in a two-dimensional Heisenberg antiferromagnet Cu(HCOO)2 ·4H2O (TN = 17 K) was observed using a standard spin- echo method at liquid He temperatures. The field-dependence of the 63Cu NMR frequency was measured for H0 (? 56 kOe) | b-axis. The result was interpreted by taking into account a zero-point spin reduction of about 35% in addition to the rotation of the antiferromagnetic spin axis. The amount of the observed spin reduction is in good agreement with the prediction of spin-wave theory.  相似文献

Proton NMR relaxation times (T2, T1, T1? and T1D) are reported for hydrous tin oxide (SnO2·nH2O) and hydrous titania (TiO2·nH2O) in the temperature range 135 K<T<336 K at 60 and 20 MHz. The data show proton transport including exchange between three environments: (1) surface hydroxyl groups, (2) “acid solution” in micropores (diameter <100 Å) and (3) “acid solution” in macropores (diameter>1000 Å). The NMR behaviour has many features in common with that of adsorbed water systems. A consistent interpretation of both NMR and conductivity data is presented.  相似文献

An organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite (C4H9NH3)4Pb3I4Br6 was synthesized and studied by X-ray diffraction, Raman and infrared spectroscopies, optical transmission and photoluminescence. The title compound, abbreviated (C4)4Pb3I4Br6, crystallises in a periodic two-dimensional multilayer structure with P21/a space group. The structure is built up from alternating inorganic and organic layers. Each inorganic layer consists of three sheets of PbX6 (X=I, Br) octahedra. Raman and infrared spectra of the title compound were recorded in the 100-3500 and 400-4000 cm−1 frequency ranges, respectively. An assignment of the observed vibration modes is reported. Optical transmission measurements, performed on thin films of (C4)4Pb3I4Br6, revealed two absorption bands at 474 and 508 nm. Photoluminescence measurements have shown a green emission peak at 519 nm.  相似文献

Electron energy peak shifts and peak shapes were determined in the ionization of H2O, D2O, H2S and SO2 by Ne(3P2) and He(21S, 23S) metastable atoms. The shifts are large, especially in ionization of H2O and D2O into the ionic ground state and are probably mostly due to chemical interaction during the collision.In a previous paper the electron energy distribution curves for ionization of CO, HCl, HBr, N2O, NO2, CO2, COS and CS2 by helium, neon and argon metastables and the characteristics of this ionization were described1. In this paper the series of triatomic molecules was extended to the molecules H2O, D2O, H2S and SO2. Because all these molecules have considerable dipole moments it could be expected that the peak shifts might be enhanced as compared with other triatomic molecules.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of the ac susceptibility (χ) at constant applied magnetic field was investigated in the paramagnetic region of the quasi-2D ferromagnet (CH3NH3)2CuCl4. Above the Curie temperature (TC=8.85 K) a maximum in the χ(T,H) curves was observed at Tm(H). The temperature at the maximum increases with increasing applied field. This anomaly is related to short range fluctuations close the order transition. The behavior of Tm(H) is governed by the gap exponent of the scaling function (Δ=γ+β). We found Δ=2.2±0.1 in very good agreement with the previously known values of γ and β.  相似文献

Optical absorption spectra of Ni2+ in (NH4)2Mg(SO4)2·6H2O and Co2+ in Na2Zn(SO4)2·4H2O single crystals have been studied at room and liquid nitrogen temperatures. From the nature and position of the observed bands, a successful interpretation could be made assuming octahedral symmetry for both the ions in the crystals. The splitting observed for 3T1g(F) band in Ni2+ and 4T2g(F) band in Co2+ at liquid nitrogen temperature have been explained as due to spin-orbit interaction. The extra band observed at 16,325 cm-1 in the case of Ni2+ at low temperature has been interpreted to be the superposition of vibrational mode of SO2-4 radical on 3T1g(F) band. The observed band positions in both the crystals have been fitted with four parameters B, C, Dq and ζ.  相似文献

The spin-wave theory for the field-dependent bahaviour of the perpendicular susceptibility of intiferromagnets is tested with the aid of two widely different antiferromagnetic systems, (C2H5NH3)2 CuCl4 and CoBr2·6H2O. The first consists of ferromagnetic layers that are very weakly coupled antiferromagnet. magnetically, the second is an example of the 2-dimensional XY antiferromagnet. Consequently, these compounds serve as limiting cases, both of which are found to be excellently described by spin-wave theory.Interestingly, the experiment on CoBr2·6H2O yields a verification of the existence of zero-point spin deviations in antiferromagnets with planar anisotropy, and a prediction for the reduction of the perpendicular susceptibility at T = 0 caused by these deviations.  相似文献

A new compound, K4(SO4)(HSO4)2(H3AsO4) was synthesized from water solution of KHSO4/K3H(SO4)2/H3AsO4. This compound crystallizes in the triclinic system with space group P1¯ and cell parameters: a=8.9076(2) Å, b=10.1258(2) Å, c=10.6785(3) Å; α=72.5250(14)°, β=66.3990(13)°, γ=65.5159(13)°, V=792.74(3) Å3, Z=2 and ρcal=2.466 g cm−3. The refinement of 3760 observed reflections (I>2σ(I)) leads to R1=0.0394 and wR2=0.0755. The structure is characterized by SO42−, HSO4 and H3AsO4 tetrahedra connected by hydrogen bridge to form two types of dimer (H(16)S(3)O4?S(1)O42− and H(12)S(2)O4?H3AsO4). These dimers are interconnected along the [1¯ 1 0] direction by the hydrogen bonds O(3)-H(3)?O(6). They are also linked by the hydrogen bridge assured by the hydrogen atoms H(2), H(3) and H(4) of the H3AsO4 group to build the chain S(1)O4?H3AsO4 which are parallel to the “a” direction. The potassium cations are coordinated by eight oxygen atoms with K-O distance ranging from 2.678(2) to 3.354(2) Å.Crystals of K4(SO4)(HSO4)2(H3AsO4) undergo one endothermic peak at 436 K. This transition detected by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) is also analyzed by dielectric and conductivity measurements using the impedance spectroscopy techniques. The obtained results show that this transition is protonic by nature.  相似文献

Electron spin resonance has been observed in high purity single crystals of K2Pt(CN)4Br0.3·3.2H2O, (KCP), in the temperature range of 4.22–80 K. Two types of paramagnetic species are found to dominate the spectrum. One of these is an inhomogeneously broadened line showing no resolved hyperfine splitting and having g = 1.946 ± 0.003 and g⊥ = 2.340 ± 0.003. The second paramagnet is identified as a Cu2+ impurity center with g = 2.231 ± 0.003, g⊥ = 2.079 ± 0.002 and hyperfine tensor A = 467 MHz, A = 70 MHz.  相似文献

We investigated the temperature dependences of the line shape, spin-lattice relaxation time, T1, and spin-spin relaxation time, T2, of the 1H nuclei in (NH4)4LiH3(SO4)4 single crystals. On the basis of the data obtained, we were able to distinguish the “ammonium” and “hydrogen-bond” protons in the crystals. For both the ammonium and hydrogen-bond protons in (NH4)4LiH3(SO4)4, the curves of T1 and T2 versus temperature changed significantly near the ferroelastic and superionic phase transitions at TC (=232 K) and TS (=405 K), respectively. In particular, near TS, the 1H signal due to the hydrogen-bond protons abruptly narrowed and the T2 value for these protons abruptly increased, indicating that these protons play an important role in this superionic phase transition. The marked increase in the T2 of the hydrogen-bond protons above TS indicates that the breaking of O-H?O bonds and the formation of new H-bonds with HSO4- contribute significantly to the high-temperature conductivity of (NH4)4LiH3(SO4)4 crystals.  相似文献

The critical exponents β, γ, δ and the scaling function of ferromagnetic Cu(NH4)2Br4, 2H2O and CuRb2Br4, 2H2O have been determined. The experimental scaling function is close to the theoretical one of three-dimensional Heisenberg model and the scaling laws are approximately fullfilled. The measured susceptibilities agree well with theoretical results for slightly anisotropic Heisenberg ferromagnet. The predicted cross-over effect, well observed on the perpendicular susceptibility, allows to explain the low experimental value of γ.  相似文献

Magnetic and EPR data have been collected for complex [Cu(L-Arg)2](NO3)2·3H2O (Arg=arginine). Magnetic susceptibility χ in the temperature range 2-160 K, and a magnetization isotherm at T=2.29(1) K with magnetic fields between 0 and 9 T were measured. The observed variation of χT with T indicates predominant antiferromagnetic interactions between Cu(II) ions coupled in 1D chains along the b axis. Fitting a molecular field model to the susceptibility data allows to evaluate g=2.10(1) for the average g-factor and J=−0.42(6) cm−1 for the nearest neighbor exchange coupling (defined as Hex=-∑JijSi·Sj). This coupling is assigned to syn-anti equatorial-apical carboxylate bridges connecting Cu(II) ion neighbors at 5.682 Å, with a total bond length of 6.989 Å and is consistent with the magnetization isotherm results. It is discussed and compared with couplings observed in other compounds with similar exchange bridges. EPR spectra at 9.77 were obtained in powder samples and at 9.77 and at 34.1 GHz in the three orthogonal planes of single crystals. At both microwave frequencies, and for all magnetic field orientations a single signal arising from the collapse due to exchange interaction of resonances corresponding to two rotated Cu(II) sites is observed. From the EPR results the molecular g-tensors corresponding to the two copper sites in the unit cell were evaluated, allowing an estimated lower limit |J |>0.1 cm−1 for the exchange interaction between Cu(II) neighbors, consistent with the magnetic measurements. The observed angular variation of the line width is attributed to dipolar coupling between Cu(II) ions in the lattice.  相似文献
