Results are presented onK + p elastic scattering and on the reactionK + pK + pπ+π? at 70 GeV/c. For the elastic channel, we measured the total ((2.29±0.04)mb) and differentialdσ/dt cross sections. The reactionK + pK + pπ+π? has a total cross section of (470±23) μb and is shown to be dominated by diffractive dissociation processes. The contributions of the quasi-two-body channels $$K^ + p \to K*^0 (890)\Delta ^{ + + } (1,236)$$ and $$K^ + p \to K*^0 (1,430)\Delta ^{ + + } (1,236)$$ and of the Double-Pomeron Exchange (DPE) processes are estimated.  相似文献

Results are presented on π+p and K+p elastic scattering at 250 GeV/c, the highest momentum so far reached for positive meson beams. The experiment (NA22) was performed with the european hybrid spectrometer. The π+p elastic cross section stays constant with energy while the K+p cross section increases.  相似文献

We report on a study of ρ0, ρ+, ω, \(\bar K^{*0} (892)\) andK *0 (892) inclusive production in π+ p interactions at 250 GeV/c, for ρ+, \(\bar K^{*0} (892)\) for the first time in a π+ p experiment. The data are compared withK + p data in the same experiment, with results of other experiments and with quark-parton models. Interesting differences are found between ρ+,0 and ω production.  相似文献

The reactions π+ p→π+(K + K ? π+ π? p andppp(K + K ? π+ π?)p where the (K + K ? π+ π?) system is centrally produced have been studied at 85 GeV/c. 48% of the final state proceeds through single or double vector meson resonant production i.e.,K *0(890) (37%), ? (4%),ρ 0 (7%). Evidence is found for associatedK *0 (890) \(\bar K\) *o (890) production (6.4±1.1%) with a cross section ten times higher than that found for associated ? ? production in the same experiment.  相似文献

The paper presents the results on differential cross sections for elastic scattering of 7+-, K+-mesons and protons on protons in the 4-momentum transfer squared range 0·08 ¦t¦ 1·0 (GeV/c)2 and incident particle momentum of 29 and 43 GeV/c for pions and kaons and 29, 43, 50 and 65 GeV/c for protons. The measurements were taken with the spectrometer Sigma, installed in the positive beam of the IHEP accelerator.Presented by F. A. We have investigated the properties of off-shell \(\bar K\) K and \(\bar p\) p annihilations into pions by using the interactionsK ? p → Λ + pions at 4.2 GeV/c. The properties considered are multiplicities, hadronic temperatures and angular distributions. These properties appear more akin to those of \(\bar p\) p annihilations in flight than to that of \(\bar p\) p annihilation at rest despite the fact that the annihilation energy is small.  相似文献

Meson-nucleon quasi-elastic scattering is studied with (semi) inclusive production of a central hadron cluster. The dominant mechanism of central cluster production is double pomeron exchange. The cross section is (39±5±8) b and (24±6±3) b for pion and kaon induced reactions, respectively. An estimate of the pomeron-pomeron total cross section pp is extracted in the interval . While pp=0.45±0.10mb is obtained in thef 2(1270) region, an almost constant cross section with an average of pp=0.16±0.02mb is observed outside thef 2 region.Partially supported by grants from CPBP 01.06 and 01.09  相似文献

The reactions \(K^ - Be \to {}^(\bar K^) *^0 (890)X,\pi ^ - Be \to {}^(\bar K^) *^0 (890)X\) , have been studied in a 175 GeV unseparated hadron beam in the kinematic range 0<x F <1.0 andp T 2 <5 GeV2. Integrated cross-sections and the dependence of the cross-sections on the longitudinal and transverse momentum are presented, together with quark counting rules predictions. The nuclear dependence ofK ? fragmentation intoK *0(890) with respect to Feynmanx is investigated from hydrogen to beryllium.  相似文献

Results from a high statistics study of the reaction Kp→Kπ+n are presented. These results are based on data obtained with an 11 GeV/c beam using the LASS spectrometer at SLAC. The mass dependence of the spherical harmonic moments provides clear evidence for the production of the complete leading orbitally excited K1 series up through JP = 5. These moments are used to perform an energy independent partial wave analysis of the Kπ+ system from threshold to 2.6 GeV/c2 using a t-dependent parametrization of the production amplitudes. The amplitudes corroborate the leading K1(892), K21(1430), K31(1780), K41(2060), and K51(2380) resonances observed directly in the moments, and also provide new evidence for underlying states. The 0+ amplitude contains the K01(1350) and a second 0+K1(1950) at higher mass. The 1K1(1790) seen earlier two and three-body analyses is confirmed, and evidence is provided for suppressed Kπ+ decay mode of a second 1 state, the K1(1410), which has been seen in earlier three-body analyses.  相似文献

A triple Regge analysis is performedof inclusive production in the proton fragmentation region ofK ++X and ++X at 250 GeV/c. Slope and intercept of the leading strange meson trajectory are determined. We present a study of the inclusive production ofK *(892) and ∑t+-(1385)+cc at 3.6 GeV/c from \(\bar p\) p interactions. The sensitivity of the exposure is 35.4 events/μb. Longitudinal and transverse momentum distributions are presented. The indirect production ofK s 0 from parentK * and that of Λ's from parent Σ(1385) are studied. The shape of thex distribution of Λ's for \(p\xrightarrow{{\bar p}}\Lambda \) are calculated from \(p\xrightarrow{p}\Lambda \) and \(p\xrightarrow{{\pi ^ - }}\Lambda \) and compared with the experimental distributions. The difference of antiparticle production cross-section ofK s 0 in the central region is compared with the expectation from Mueller-Regge formalism.  相似文献

The mechanism of the reaction 3He + p → p + p + d is studied by making use of the ITEP 80 cm liquid-hydrogen bubble chamber exposed to a beam of 5 GeV/c 3He nuclei. The reaction cross section is equal to 20.6 ± 0.3 mb. The phase-space regions associated with quasifree scattering (QFS) and final-state interactions (FSI) are selected. Angular, mass and momentum distributions of the reaction products are obtained in the entire kinematically allowed range. The experimental data in the QFS region are compared with theoretical calculations based on the simplest pole-diagram approximation. The 3He and deuteron wave functions (WF) correspond to the realistic RSC potential. The D-wave components of these WF are taken into account. The absolute value of the cross section and shape of the distributions are described as a whole reasonably well within the frame of the model considered in the kinematical region where FSI may be neglected. But at large spectator momenta there is an essential disagreement. The possible reasons for this are discussed.  相似文献

The isospin symmetry-breaking (ISB) decay f 1(1285) → π+π?π0 has been studied at the VES facility. The branching ratio is measured: $\frac{{BR\left( {f_1 \to \pi ^ + \pi ^ - \pi ^0 } \right)}} {{BR\left( {f_1 \to \eta \pi ^ + \pi ^ - } \right)}} = 0.86 \pm 0.16_{ - 0.20}^{ + 0.70} \%Low-energy resonances in 31P(p, α 28Si and 35Cl(p, α)32S were studied directly in order to gain a better understanding of reaction cycling in the Si-Ar region in novae. New resonance strengths at E c.m. = 600 and 622 keV in 31P(p, α)28Si were measured (ωγ p, α = (2.2#x00B1;0.7) × 10?2 eV and ωγ p, α = (0.99±0.08) eV, respectively) as well as the E c.m. = 610 keV resonance in 35Cl(p, α)32S [ωγ p, α = (1.2±0.2) × 10?2 eV], the lowest energy that any resonance in this reaction has been observed, directly or indirectly. The strengths of these resonances were found to be lower than previously determined, resulting in even weaker cycling in the Si-Ar region.  相似文献

Inclusive production of ?0,K (892), andf is studied in \(\bar p\) p interactions at 12 GeV/c. The inclusive cross sections for ?0,K (892), andf are found to be 6.7±0.3 mb, 1.0±0.2 mb, and 1.4±0.3 mb, respectively. The differential cross sections are presented as a function of c.m. rapidity, Feynmanx and square of the transverse momentump T 2 . Comparison with the correspondingpp data shows some interesting differences which can be attributed to the \(\bar p\) p annihilation. The results are compared with the predictions of the quark fusion model.  相似文献

Evaluation of fully integrated double pion electroproduction cross sections of protons was carried out at 1.4 < W < 2.0 GeV, 5 < Q 2 < 12 GeV2. The cross-section evaluation was obtained from an approach based on extrapolation of the double pion component of inclusive structure functions F 1 and F 2 from photon virtualities Q 2 < 5 GeV2 towards 5 < Q 2 < 12 GeV2. Q 2-parameterization compatible with restrictions from the Operator Product Expansion was used to conduct the extrapolation. The results will be used to extract double pion electroproduction cross sections of protons in future experiments with the new CLAS12 detector.  相似文献

The reactions γp → K+ Σ± π? were studied with the SAPHIR detector using a tagged photon beam at the electron stretcher facility ELSA in Bonn. The decays Σ ? ? and Σ + +, 0 were fully reconstructed. Reaction cross-sections were measured as a function of the photon energy from threshold up to 2.6 GeV with considerably improved statistics compared to a previous bubble chamber measurement. The cross-sections rise monotonically with increasing photon energy. The two-particle mass distributions of Σ ± π ? and K + π ? show substantial production of resonant states.  相似文献

The diffractive reaction p + N → [∑+ K 0] + N induced by 70-GeV protons is investigated at the SPHINX facility. The measured mass spectrum of the ∑+ K 0 system originating from this reaction shows a resonance structure with a mass of M=1995±18 MeV and a width of Γ=90±32 MeV. The cross section for the formation of this structure is found to be σ=182±38 nb per target nucleon. These data comply well with the results that we obtained previously in studying the reaction p + N → [∑0 K +] + N, where we observed the formation of the X(2000) → ∑0 K + state, a candidate for an exotic baryon with hidden strangeness. The measured ratio R of the two branching fractions, R = Br[X(2000) → ∑+ K 0]/Br[X(2000) → ∑0 K +] = 1.91 ± 0.38, is consistent with the value of R=2 expected for an isospin-1/2 baryon.  相似文献
