Design of fuzzy logic controllers based on generalized T-operators   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Since Zadeh first proposed the basic principle of fuzzy logic controllers in 1968, the and operators have been popular in the design of fuzzy logic controllers. In this paper, the general concept of T-operators is introduced into the conventional design methods for fuzzy logic controllers so that a general and flexible methodology for the design of these fuzzy logic controllers is available. Then, by computer simulations, studies are made so as to determine the relations between the various T-operators and the performance of a fuzzy logic controller. It is concluded that the performance of the fuzzy logic controller for a given class of plants very much depends upon the choice of the T-operators.  相似文献

Fuzzy logic has been utilized at several hierarchical levels of a typical robotic control system. Four broad levels of application may be identified - task design, system monitoring (including self-tuning and self-organization), information filtering and preprocessing, and in-loop direct control. Even though the need for fuzzy logic is felt mostly at upper levels of the control system, the present applications are mainly concentrated within the lowest level, perhaps driven by convenience rather than necessity. This paper surveys several applications of fuzzy logic in the control of robotic manipulators. Applications are grouped into four hierarchical categories, broadly corresponding to an existing architecture of a robotic control system. Such a classification can be beneficial in ascertaining the appropriateness of fuzzy logic for the specific control task.  相似文献

The problem of stabilization for wireless networked control system (NCS) with packet dropout and time delay is studied in this article. The impulsive control law for the NCS is defined with time delay and impulse. Using a switching model, the network‐induced imperfections can be treated as three switching subsystems. Therein, in the case of packet dropout, the control law use the previous state via the first‐order hold. The impulsive control law is designed using the switched system approach and the average dwell time method. The obtained sufficient conditions which can guarantee the exponential stability of switched system are in the form of linear matrix inequalities. Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) is used in Photovoltaic (PV) systems to maximize its output power. A new MPPT system has been suggested for PV‐DC motor pump system by designing two PI controllers. The first one is used to reach MPPT by monitoring the voltage and current of the PV array and adjusting the duty cycle of the DC/DC converter. The second PI controller is designed for speed control of DC series motor by setting the voltage fed to the DC series motor through another DC/DC converter. The suggested design problem of MPPT and speed controller is formulated as an optimization task which is solved by Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) to search for optimal parameters of PI controllers. Simulation results have shown the validity of the developed technique in delivering MPPT to DC series motor pump system under atmospheric conditions and tracking the reference speed of motor. Moreover, the performance of the ABC algorithm is compared with Genetic Algorithm for various disturbances to prove its robustness. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A real-coded genetic algorithm (GA) applied to the system identification and control for a class of nonlinear systems is proposed in this paper. It is well known that GA is a globally optimal method motivated from natural evolutionary concepts. For solving a given optimization problem, there are two different kinds of GA operations: binary coding and real coding. In general, a real-coded GA is more suitable and convenient to deal with most practical engineering applications. In this paper, in the beginning we attempt to utilize a real-coded GA to identify the unknown system which its structure is assumed to be known previously. Next, according to the estimated system model an optimal off-line PID controller is optimally solved by also using the real-coded GA. Two simulated examples are finally given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

The objective of this paper is to investigate the effectiveness of using fuzzy logic in a complex decision-making capacity, and in particular, for the prioritisation of kidney transplant recipients. Fuzzy logic is an extension to Boolean logic allowing an element to have degrees of true and false as opposed to being either 100% true or 100% false. Thus, it can account for the ‘shades of grey’ found in many real-world situations. In this paper, two fuzzy logic models are developed demonstrating its effectiveness as a model for vastly improving the current prioritisation system used in the UK and abroad. The first model converts an element of the current kidney transplant prioritisation system used in the UK into fuzzy logic. The result is an improvement to the current system and a demonstration of fuzzy logic as an effective decision-making approach. The second model offers an alternative prioritisation system to overcome the limitations of the current system both in the UK and abroad, as brought up by research reviewed in this paper. The current UK transplant prioritisation system, adapted in the first model, uses objective criteria (age of recipient, waiting time, etc) as inputs into the decision-making process. This alternative model takes advantage of the facility for infinitely varying inputs into fuzzy logic and a system is developed that can handle subjective (humanistic) criteria (pain level, quality of life, etc) that are key to arriving at such important decisions. Furthermore, the model is highly flexible allowing any number of criteria to be used and the individual characteristics of each criterion to be altered. The result is a model that utilises the scope of fuzzy logic's flexibility, usability and effectiveness in the field of decision-making and a transplant prioritisation method vastly superior to the original system, which is constrained by its use of only objective criteria. The ‘humanistic’ model demonstrates the ability of fuzzy logic to consider subjective and complex criteria. However, the criteria used are not intended to be exhaustive. It is simply a template to which medical professionals can apply limitless additional criteria. The model is produced as an alternative to any current national system. However, the model can also be used by individual hospitals to decide initially whether a patient should be placed on the transplant or surgery waiting list. The model can be further adapted and used for the transplant of other organs or similar decisions in medicine. Concurrently with the research and work carried out to develop the two models the investigation focused on the constraints of the current systems used in the UK and the US and the seemingly impossible dilemmas experienced by those having to make the prioritisation decisions. By removing the parameters of objective-only inputs the ‘humanistic’ model eradicates the previous limitations on decision-making.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The single input single output (SISO) system with known strong interference is widely used in various occasions. Due to its strong interference, the control accuracy is hard to guarantee. To solve this problem, an improved generalized predictive control (IGPC) algorithm is developed. The IGPC firstly builds the difference equation CARIMA (Controlled Auto-Regressive Integrated Moving-Average) model of the SISO system and then treats the system as a two input single output (TISO) system and calculates its predictive vector, then transforms it into a SISO system and uses the TISO system predictive vector to calculate the SISO system control increment. A new parameter called phase coefficient is added to inhibit the control lag. Simulations are performed to make the comparison among the traditional GPC, PID control, velocity synchronization control (VSC), fuzzy adaptive PID control (FAPID), model-based robust PID control (BPID) and the IGPC. Results show that IGPC has best performance compared to the others. Finally, experiments are developed which proved that the IGPC algorithm has a higher accuracy in the SISO system with known strong interference than that of VSC.  相似文献

An approach for the development of fuzzy point-to-point control laws for second-order mechanical systems is presented. Asymptotic stability of the resulting closed-loop system is proved using Lyapunov stability theory. Closed-loop performance and robustness are quantified in terms of the parameters of membership functions. As opposed to most existing fuzzy control laws, the closed-loop stability of the proposed controller does not depend on the knowledge of the entire dynamics. Moreover, the approach does not require the plant to be open-loop stable. The proposed approach is demonstrated on design and simulation study of a fuzzy controller for a two-link robotic arm.  相似文献

With the stricter limitations on both fuel consumption and air pollution, the advantages of a hybrid electric vehicle are becoming more evident than ever. In the present study, an energy management system for a hybrid electric vehicle is developed. Because the plant under consideration is nonlinear, multi-domain, time-varying, has multiple uncertainties and, in addition, the designed control strategy must be able to obey the driver's commands and achieve the par-internship for a new generation of vehicle regulations, the fuzzy logic approach is chosen. A feed-forward hybrid vehicle simulation model is used to demonstrate the validity and the convenience of the current approach and its results have been compared with the other parallel hybrid electric vehicle control strategies. Simulation results show considerable improvement in the efficiency of the internal combustion engine and, consequently, fuel consumption and acceleration performances.  相似文献

This paper shows how to model a problem to find optimal number of replenishments in the fixed-order quantity system as a basic problem of optimal control of the discrete system. The decision environment is deterministic and the time horizon is finite. A discrete system consists of the law of dynamics, control domain and performance criterion. It is primarily a simulation model of the inventory dynamics, but the performance criterion enables various order strategies to be compared. The dynamics of state variables depends on the inflow and outflow rates. This paper explicitly defines flow regulators for the four patterns of the inventory: discrete inflow – continuous/discrete outflow and continuous inflow – continuous/discrete outflow. It has been discussed how to use suggested model for variants of the fixed-order quantity system as the scenarios of the model. To find the optimal process, the simulation-based optimization is used.  相似文献

We study the Neumann boundary stabilization problem of a coupled transport-diffusion system in the case where the observation is done at the boundary. In the recent paper of Sano and Nakagiri [H. Sano, S. Nakagiri, Stabilization of a coupled transport-diffusion system with boundary input, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 363 (2010) 57-72], we treated the stabilization problem for the case with Neumann boundary control and distributed observation. The novelty of this paper is the formulation of the boundary observation equation in a Hilbert space. We have an interesting result of its being expressed by using an -bounded operator with . Moreover, it is shown that a reduced-order model with a finite-dimensional state variable is controllable and observable. This means that one can always construct a finite-dimensional stabilizing controller for the original infinite-dimensional system by using a residual mode filter (RMF) approach.  相似文献

The 1D Cauchy problem for the Zakharov system is shown to be locally well-posed for low regularity Schrödinger data and wave data under certain assumptions on the parameters k,l and 1<p?2, where , generalizing the results for p=2 by Ginibre, Tsutsumi and Velo. Especially we are able to improve the results from the scaling point of view, and also allow suitable k<0, l<−1/2, i.e. data u0L2 and (n0,n1)∉H−1/2×H−3/2, which was excluded in the case p=2.  相似文献

Conventional adaptive boundary element method cannot be universally applied to solve many more problems than the subject it discussed, and different error estimation formulas need to be designed for varied problems. This paper put forward a new error analysis method based on the fuzzy logic system, which is able to make error estimation effectively using human expert experience, and solve the two classical elasticity problems in conjunction with the H-R adaptive boundary element method. Numerical examples have illustrated the effectiveness, superiority and potential of a fuzzy logic approach in the adaptive boundary element method.  相似文献

We consider a control system described by two ordinary nonlinear differential equations subject to a control constraint given by a multivalued mapping with closed nonconvex values, which depends on the phase variables. One of the equations contains the subdifferential of the indicator function of a closed convex set depending on the unknown phase variable. The equation containing the subdifferential describes an input-output relation of hysteresis type.Along with the original control constraint, we also consider the convexified control constraint and the constraint consisting of the extremal points of the convexified control constraint.We prove the existence of solutions of our control system with various control constraints and establish certain relationships between corresponding solution sets.  相似文献

A promising area of research in fuzzy control is the model-based fuzzy controller. At the heart of this approach is a fuzzy relational model of the process to be controlled. Since this model is identified directly from process input-output data it is likely that ‘holes’ will be present in the identified relational model. These holes are real problems when the model is incorporated into a model-based controller since the model will be unable to make any predictions whatsoever if the system drifts into an unknown region. The present work deals with the completeness of the fuzzy relational model which forms the core of the controller. This work proposes a scheme of post-processing to ‘fiil in’ the fuzzy relational model once it has been built and thereby improve its applicability for on-line control. A comparative study of the post-processed model and conventional relational model is presented for Box-Jenkins data identification system and a real-time, highly non-linear application of pH control identification.  相似文献

This article proposed a new control strategy based on Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy model for deceasing the power system oscillation. This controller is based on the parallel distributed compensation structure, the stability of the whole closed‐loop model is provided using a general Lyapunov‐Krasovski functional. Also, in this article, a new objective function has been considered to test the proposed Fuzzy Power System Stabilizer in different load conditions which increase the system damping after the system undergoes a disturbance. So, for testing the effectiveness of the proposed controller, the damping factor, damping ratio, and a combination of the damping factor and damping ratio were analyzed and compared with the proposed objective function. The effectiveness of the proposed strategy has been used over 16 machine 68 bus power system. Application of fuzzy control to a road tunnel ventilation system   总被引:8,自引:0,他引:8  
This paper deals with the serious problems of ventilation system in a large road tunnel. Higher visibility and lower concentration of carbon monoxide are the key issues concerning the ventilation system. Prior to designing the fuzzy control model, a configuration layout of the ventilation system including sensing, control and traffic prediction as well is conceptually constructed. Based on the layout that offers assignments of sensors and control elements, a fuzzy logic control model is developed. Membership functions of sensor errors and control increments are physically submitted in order to set up the fuzzy logic rules. Timing and spacing filtering in terms of weighting approaches is employed in the fuzzy logic rules. A dynamic equation describing the concentration of air pollution is also given so as to cooperate with the fuzzy logic rules and to play roles in the computer simulation. The result of computer simulation involving five cases indicates that a multi-level scheme is able to solve the engineering problems.  相似文献
