A local characterization of Schwarzschild metrics is made by showing the space-time is locally a 2 by 2 warped product and admitting a static reference frame on its certain open subsets under some assumptions on the global analytic structure and stress-energy tensor of the space-time, such as, assuming the existence of solutions to certain partial differential equations and the existence of a radiation stress-energy tensor consistent with these solutions on the space-time.  相似文献

The semiclassical Einstein equations are solved to first order in epsilon = Planck's over 2pi/M2 for the case of a Reissner-Nordstr?m black hole perturbed by the vacuum stress energy of quantized free fields. Massless and massive fields of spin 0, 1/2, and 1 are considered. We show that in all physically realistic cases, macroscopic zero temperature black hole solutions do not exist. Any static zero temperature semiclassical black hole solutions must then be microscopic and isolated in the space of solutions; they do not join smoothly onto the classical extreme Reissner-Nordstr?m solution as epsilon-->0.  相似文献

We solve the condundrum on whether the molecules of the Reissner-Nordstr?m black hole interact through the Ruppeiner thermodynamic geometry, basing our study on the concept of the black hole molecule proposed in [Phys. Rev. Lett. 115 (2015) 111302] and choosing the appropriate extensive variables. Our results show that the Reissner-Nordstr?m black hole is indeed an interaction system that may be dominated by repulsive interaction. More importantly, with the help of a novel quantity, namely the thermal-charge density, we describe the fine micro-thermal structures of the Reissner-Nordstr?m black hole in detail. Three different phases are presented, namely the free, interactive, and balanced phases. The thermal-charge density plays a role similar to the order parameter, and the back hole undergoes a new phase transition between the free phase and interactive phase. The competition between the free phase and interactive phase exists, which leads to extreme behavior of the temperature of the Reissner-Nordstr?m black hole. For the extreme Reissner-Nordstr?m black hole, the entire system is completely in the interactive phase. More importantly, we provide the thermodynamic micro-mechanism for the formation of the naked singularity of the Reissner-Nordstr?m black hole.  相似文献

The backreaction equations for the linearized quantum fluctuations in an acoustic black hole are given. The solution near the horizon, obtained within a dimensional reduction, indicates that acoustic black holes, unlike Schwarzschild ones, get cooler as they radiate phonons. They show remarkable analogies with near-extremal Reissner-Nordstr?m black holes.  相似文献

In this study, the scattering of fermions by a class of Bardeen black holes is investigated. After obtaining the scattering modes by solving the Dirac equation in this geometry, we use the partial wave method to derive an analytical expression for the phase shifts that enter into the definitions of partial amplitudes that define the scattering cross sections and induced polarization. It is shown that, similar to Schwarzschild and Reissner-Nordstr?m black holes, the phenomena of glory and spiral scattering are present.  相似文献

The renormalization of a scalar field theory with a quartic self-coupling via adiabatic regularization in a Robertson-Walker spacetime is discussed. The adiabatic counterterms are presented in a way that is most conducive to numerical computations. A variation of the adiabatic regularization method is presented which leads to analytic approximations for the energy–momentum tensor of the quantum field and the quantum contribution to the effective mass of the mean field. Conservation of the energy–momentum tensor for the field is discussed and it is shown that the part of the energy–momentum tensor which depends only on the mean field is not conserved but the full renormalized energy–momentum tensor is conserved, as expected and required by the semiclassical Einstein's equation. It is also shown that if the analytic approximations are used the resulting approximate energy–momentum tensor is conserved. This allows a self-consistent backreaction calculation to be performed using the analytic approximations. The usefulness of the approximations is discussed.  相似文献

We construct finite mass, asymptotically flat black hole solutions in d=5 Einstein-Yang-Mills-Chern-Simons theory. Our results indicate the existence of a second order phase transition between Reissner-Nordstr?m solutions and the non-Abelian black holes which generically are thermodynamically preferred. Some of the non-Abelian configurations are also stable under linear, spherically symmetric perturbations.  相似文献

Hawking radiation from a black hole can be viewed as quantum tunneling of particles through the event horizon. Using this approach we provide a general framework for studying corrections to the entropy of black holes beyond semiclassical approximations. Applying the properties of exact differentials for three variables to the first law thermodynamics, we study charged rotating black holes and explicitly work out the corrections to entropy and horizon area for the Kerr–Newman and charged rotating BTZ black holes. It is shown that the results for other geometries like the Schwarzschild, Reissner-Nordström and anti-de Sitter–Schwarzschild spacetimes follow easily.  相似文献

We introduce the quasi-topological electromagnetism which is defined to be the squared norm of the topological 4-form F ∧ F. A salient property is that its energy-momentum tensor is of the isotropic perfect fluid with the pressure being precisely the opposite to its energy density. It can thus provide a model for dark energy. We study its application in both black hole physics and cosmology.The quasi-topological term has no effect on the purely electric or magnetic Reissner-Nordstr o¨m black holes, the dyonic solution is however completely modified. We find that the dyonic black holes can have four real horizons. For suitable parameters, the black hole can admit as many as three photon spheres, with one being stable. Another intriguing property is that although the quasitopological term breaks the electromagnetic duality, the symmetry emerges in the on-shell action in the Wheeler-De Witt patch. In cosmology, we demonstrate that the quasi-topological term alone is equivalent to a cosmological constant, but the model provides a mechanism for the dark energy to couple with other types of matter. We present a concrete example of the quasi-topological electromagnetism coupled to a scalar field that admits the standard FLRW cosmological solutions.  相似文献

A model of spherically symmetric SU(2) gauge theory is considered. The self-duality equations are written and it is shown that they are compatible with the Einstein-Yang-Mills equations. It is proven that the SU(2) gauge model is self-dual on a Schwarzschild space-time but not on a Reissner-Nordstr?m one. Recently, a generalized gravity theory was proposed by Harko et al. where the Lagrangian density is an arbitrary function of the Ricci scalar R and the trace of the stress-energy tensor T, known as F(R,T) gravity. In their derivation of the field equations, they have not considered conservation of the stress-energy tensor. In the present work, we have shown that a part of the arbitrary function f(R,T) can be determined if we take into account of the conservation of stress-energy tensor, although the form of the field equations remain similar. For homogeneous and isotropic model of the universe the field equations are solved and corresponding cosmological aspects has been discussed. Finally, we have studied the energy conditions in this modified gravity theory both generally and a particular case of perfect fluid with constant equation of state.  相似文献

We consider the quantization of the complete extension of the Schwarzschild space-time using spherically symmetric loop quantum gravity. We find an exact solution corresponding to the semiclassical theory. The singularity is eliminated but the space-time still contains a horizon. Although the solution is known partially numerically and therefore a proper global analysis is not possible, a global structure akin to a singularity-free Reissner-Nordstr?m space-time including a Cauchy horizon is suggested.  相似文献
