Electronic Raman scattering has no sum rule in no and weak correlation, but the existence of sum rule has been proposed in strong correlation. The present Raman scattering disclosed that the first moment of the Raman susceptibility is proportional to the generalized moment of the optical conductivity in the metallic phase. The present experiment disclosed that a large amount of electronic states are incoherent states. The incoherent states are the relevant states for the superconductivity, because the gap opens in the incoherent states as well as the coherent states. 相似文献

Utilizing resonant inelastic x-ray scattering, we report a previously unobserved mode in the excitation spectrum of La2-xSrxCuO4 and Nd2CuO4 at 500 meV. The mode is peaked around the (pi, 0) point in reciprocal space and is observed to soften, and broaden, away from this point. Samples with x=0, 0.01, 0.05, and 0.17 were studied. The new mode is found to be rapidly suppressed with increasing Sr content and is absent at x=0.17, where it is replaced by a continuum of excitations. This mode is only observed when the incident x-ray polarization is normal to the CuO planes. 相似文献

In La2-xSrxCuO4 (LSCO) the spectral weight W=integralOmega0sigma(ab)1(omega,T)domega [where sigma(ab)1(omega,T) is the ab-plane conductivity] obeys the same law W=W0-BOmegaT2 as in a conventional metal such as gold, for any Omega up to the plasma edge. However, in LSCO BOmega points toward correlation effects and, unlike in gold, is related to an energy scale tT相似文献

We study the static magnetic correlations in lightly doped La2-xSrxCuO4 within the framework of a dipolar frustration model for a canted antiferromagnet. We show that the stability of the canted Néel state for x < 2% is due to the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya and XY anisotropies. For higher doping, the ground state is unstable towards a helicoidal magnetic phase, where the transverse components of the staggered magnetization rotate in a plane perpendicular to the orthorhombic b axis. Our theory reconciles, for the first time, the incommensurate peaks observed in elastic neutron scattering with Raman and magnetic susceptibility experiments in La2-xSrxCuO4 . 相似文献

We study long wavelength magnetic excitations in lightly doped La2-xSrxCuO4 (x=0.03) detwinned crystals. The lowest energy magnetic anisotropy induced gap can be understood in terms of the antisymmetric spin interaction inside the antiferromagnetic (AF) phase. The second magnetic resonance, analyzed in terms of in-plane spin anisotropy, shows unconventional behavior within the AF state; it led to the discovery of collective spin excitations pertaining to a field induced magnetically ordered state. This state persists in a 9 T field to more than 100 K above the Néel temperature in x=0.01. 相似文献

The in-plane magnetoresistance (MR) in La(2-x)SrxCuO4 films with 0.03< x <0.05 has been studied in the temperature range 1.6 to 100 K, and in magnetic fields up to 14 T, parallel and perpendicular to the CuO2 planes. The behavior of the MR is consistent with a predominant influence of interaction effects at high temperatures, switching gradually to a regime dominated by spin scattering at low T. Weak localization effects are absent. A positive orbital MR appears close to the boundary between the antiferromagnetic and the spin-glass phase, suggesting the onset of Maki-Thompson superconducting fluctuations deep inside the insulating phase. 相似文献

Inelastic light-scattering spectra of underdoped La2-xSrxCuO4 single crystals are presented which provide direct evidence of the formation of quasi-one-dimensional charged structures in the two-dimensional CuO2 planes. The stripes manifest themselves in a Drude-like peak at low energies and temperatures. The selection rules allow us to determine the orientation to be along the diagonals at x=0.02 and along the principal axes at x=0.10. The electron-lattice interaction determines the correlation length which turns out to be larger in compound classes with lower superconducting transition temperatures. Temperature is the only scale of the response at different doping levels demonstrating the importance of quantum critical behavior. 相似文献
