We observed the Raman spectra of carriers, positive polarons and bipolarons, generated in a poly(2,5-bis(3-tetradecylthiophen-2-yl)thieno[3,2-b]thiophene) (PBTTT-C14) film by FeCl3 vapor doping. Electrical conductivity and Raman measurements indicate that the dominant carriers in the conducting state were bipolarons. We identified positive polarons and bipolarons generated in an ionic-liquid-gated transistor (ILGT) fabricated with PBTTT-C14 as an active semiconductor and an ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl) imide [BMIM][TFSI] as a gate dielectric using Raman spectroscopy. The relationship between the source−drain current (ID) at a constant source−drain voltage (VD) and the gate voltage (VG) was measured. ID increased above −VG = 1.1 V and showed a maximum at −VG = 2.0 V. Positive polarons were formed at the initial stage of electrochemical doping (−VG = 0.8 V). As ID increased, positive bipolarons were formed. Above VG = −2.0 V, bipolarons were dominant. The charge density (n), the doping level (x), and the mobility of the bipolarons were calculated from the electrochemical measurements. The highest mobility (μ) of bipolarons was 0.72 cm2 V−1 s−1 at x = 110 mol%/repeating unit (−VG = 2.0 V), whereas the highest μ of polarons was 4.6 × 10−4 cm2 V−1 s−1 at x = 10 mol%.  相似文献

Poly(2,5-bis(3-alkylthiophen-2-yl)thieno[3,2-b]thiophene), PBTTT, is a semiconducting polymer that forms thin film transistors (TFTs) with high field effect mobility on silicon dioxide dielectrics that are treated with alkyltrichlorosilanes ( approximately 0.2 to 0.5 cm2/V s) but forms TFTs with poor mobility on bare silicon dioxide (<0.005 cm2/V s). The microstructure of spin-coated thin films of PBTTT on these surfaces was studied using synchrotron X-ray diffraction and atomic force microscopy. PBTTT crystallizes with lamellae of pi-stacked polymer chains on both surfaces. The crystalline domains are well-oriented relative to the substrate in the as-spun state and become highly oriented and more ordered with thermal annealing in the liquid crystalline mesophase. Although the X-ray scattering from PBTTT is nearly identical on both surfaces, atomic force microscopy showed that the domain size of the crystalline regions depends on the substrate surface. These results suggest that electrical transport in PBTTT films is strongly affected by the domain size of the crystalline regions and the disordered regions between them.  相似文献

We use a systematic approach that combines experimental X-ray diffraction (XRD) and computational modeling based on molecular mechanics and two-dimensional XRD simulations to develop a detailed model of the molecular-scale packing structure of poly(2,5-bis (3-tetradecylthiophene-2-yl)thieno[3,2-b]thiophene) (PBTTT-C(14)) films. Both uniaxially and biaxially aligned films are used in this comparison and lead to an improved understanding of the molecular-scale orientation and crystal structure. We then examine how individual polymer components (i.e., conjugated backbone and alkyl side chains) contribute to the complete diffraction pattern, and how modest changes to a particular component orientation (e.g., backbone or side-chain tilt) influence the diffraction pattern. The effects on the polymer crystal structure of varying the alkyl side-chain length from C(12) to C(14) and C(16) are also studied. The accurate determination of the three-dimensional polymer structure allows us to examine the PBTTT electronic band structure and intermolecular electronic couplings (transfer integrals) as a function of alkyl side-chain length. This combination of theoretical and experimental techniques proves to be an important tool to help establish the relationship between the structural and electronic properties of polymer thin films.  相似文献

A new conjugated polymer, PDTTTPD, comprising 2,5-di(thiophen-2-yl)thieno[3,2-b]thiophene and thieno[3,4-c]pyrrole-4,6-dione units, exhibits high crystallinity and excellent thermal stability. A device incorporating PDTTTPD and [6,6]-phenyl-C(71)-butyric acid methyl ester (1:1, w/w) exhibited a power conversion efficiency of 5.1%.  相似文献

A new straightforward synthesis of dinaphtho[2,3-b:2',3'-f]thieno[3,2-b]thiophene (DNTT) derivatives from readily available 2-methoxynaphthalenes is described. Thus, newly developed derivatives of DNTT showed very high field effect mobility in the vapor-processed field-effect transistors up to 8 cm(2) V(-1) s(-1).  相似文献

Reactions of 2,5-dimethoxytetrahydrofuran with 3-aminothieno[2,3-b]pyridines afford a number of substituted 3-(1H-pyrrol-1-yl)thieno[2,3-b]pyridines. The possibility of the reaction and the yield of the product are determined by the character of a substituent in position 2 of thieno[2,3-b]pyridine. The Curtius rearrangement of 2-acylazido-3(1H-pyrrol-1-yl)thieno[2,3-b]pyridines yields 4,5-dihydropyrido[3",2":4,5]thieno[2,3-e]pyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrazin-4-ones. The molecular and crystal structures of ethyl 4-methoxymethyl-6-methyl-3-(1H-pyrrol-1-yl)thieno[2,3-b]pyridine-2-carboxylate were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis.  相似文献

A thieno [3,2-b] thiophene-based planar liquid crystal molecule, C12-PTTT, which possesses the characteristics of an organic field-effect transistor (OFET), was synthesised and its mesomorphic properties were studied by polarising optical microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. A wide temperature range for a highly oriented smectic phase was observed. OFET devices made under various conditions, such as self-assembled monolayer treatment and alignment treatment, and with micro-channel structures, were fabricated to measure the electrical properties. Among different OFET device conditions, the best electric carrier mobility for C12-PTTT was 0.038 cm2?V?1?s?1.  相似文献

A series of the title compounds were prepared for evaluation as inhibitors of carbonic anhydrase II. Oxidation of 5-substituted thieno[2,3-b]thiophene-2-sulfonamides provided the first examples of thiophene[2,3-b]thiophene-2-sulfonarnide 6,6-dioxides. A series of planar beta-linked oligothiophenes based on thieno[3,2-b]thiophene and dithieno[3,2-b:2',3'-d]thiophene fused units were synthesized. The optical data indicate a blue shift of the absorption maximum in comparison to the alpha-linked analogues due to cross-conjugation between fused rings. The crystal structures of 3,3'-bi(thieno[3,2-b]thiophene) and 3,3';6',3"-ter(thieno-[3,2-b]thiophene) reveal edge-to-face pi-stacked dimer motifs, whereas the crystal structure of 3,3'-bis(dithieno[3,2-b:2',3'-d]thiophene) consists of face-to-face pi-stacked molecules. Enzymatic desymmetrization of the title compound 1 is reported using various commercially available lipases in hydrolysis and alcoholysis reactions or ester synthesis. In this area, lipase Amano AK (Pseudomonas sp.) proved to be the best lipase whatever the experimental conditions used. The monoacetate product 2 is indifferently obtained with more than 95% enantiomeric excess (ee) as the levorotatory enantiomer 2a or the dextrorotatory one 2b.  相似文献

Linear fused dithieno[2,3-b:3'2'-d]thiophene diimides (DTTDIs, 1-4) were synthesized. Physicochemical investigations suggested that these diimides might be used as potential n-channel organic semiconductors. Coupling the diazonium salt of 3-amino-2-cyano-4,6-dimethylthieno[2,3-b]pyridine 1 with malononitrile 2 gave 2-cyano-3-(hydrazonomalononitrile)-4,6-dimethylthieno[2,3-b]pyridine 3 which then reacted with hydrazine compounds 4a-4h to yield corresponding 2-cyano-3-(3,5-diamino-1-substituted-pyrazol-4-yl)azo-4,6-dimethylthieno[2,3-b]pyridines 5a-5h. The 2-cyano-3-(2-amino-5,7-disubstituted-pyrazolo-[1,5-a]pyrimidine-3-yl)azo-4,6-dimethylthieno[2,3-b]pyridines 7a-7f were obtained in good yield by the cyclocondensation reaction of 2-cyano-3-(3,5-diamino-pyrazol-4-yl)azo-4,6-dimethylthieno[2,3-b]pyridine 5a with the appropriate 1,3-diketones 6a-6f under acidic condition.  相似文献

Substituted 4-[(3-cyanopyridin-2-yl)thiomethyl]coumarins have been synthesized by the alkylation of 2-mercapto-4,6-dimethylnicotinonitrile with 4-chloromethylcoumarins. Substituted 4-(3-amino-thieno[2,3-b]pyridin-2-yl)coumarins have been obtained by a subsequent intramolecular condensation of the methylene and cyano groups. 6H-Chromeno[4,3-d]thieno[3,2-b:5,4-b']dipyridin-6-ones were isolated as a result of the interaction of these compounds with aldehydes, and their aminomethyl derivatives were synthesized.  相似文献
