We analyze the mean-square (MS) stability properties of a newly introduced adaptive time-stepping stochastic Runge–Kutta method which relies on two local error estimators based on drift and diffusion terms of the equation [A. Foroush Bastani, S.M. Hosseini, A new adaptive Runge–Kutta method for stochastic differential equations, J. Comput. Appl. Math. 206 (2007) 631–644]. In the same spirit as [H. Lamba, T. Seaman, Mean-square stability properties of an adaptive time-stepping SDE solver, J. Comput. Appl. Math. 194 (2006) 245–254] and with applying our adaptive scheme to a standard linear multiplicative noise test problem, we show that the MS stability region of the adaptive method strictly contains that of the underlying stochastic differential equation. Some numerical experiments confirms the validity of the theoretical results.  相似文献

The objective of the present paper is to find new sufficient conditions for the existence of unique strong solutions to a class of (time-inhomogeneous) stochastic differential equations with random, non-Lipschitzian coefficients. We give an example to show that our conditions are indeed weaker than those relevant conditions existing in the literature. We also derive moment estimations for the maximum process of the solution. Finally, we present a sufficient condition to ensure the non confluence property of the solution of time-homogeneous SDE which, in one dimension, is nothing but stochastic monotone property of the solution.  相似文献

We introduce a mean-reverting SDE whose solution is naturally defined on the space of correlation matrices. This SDE can be seen as an extension of the well-known Wright–Fisher diffusion. We provide conditions that ensure weak and strong uniqueness of the SDE, and describe its ergodic limit. We also shed light on a useful connection with Wishart processes that makes understand how we get the full SDE. Then, we focus on the simulation of this diffusion and present discretization schemes that achieve a second-order weak convergence. Last, we give a possible application of these processes in finance and argue that they could easily replace and improve the standard assumption of a constant correlation.  相似文献

We study the rate of convergence of some recursive procedures based on some “exact” or “approximate” Euler schemes which converge to the invariant measure of an ergodic SDE driven by a Lévy process. The main interest of this work is to compare the rates induced by “exact” and “approximate” Euler schemes. In our main result, we show that replacing the small jumps by a Brownian component in the approximate case preserves the rate induced by the exact Euler scheme for a large class of Lévy processes.  相似文献

Summary Here we discuss the regularity of solutions of SDE's and obtain conditions under which a SDE on a complete Riemannian manifoldM has a global smooth solution flow, in particular improving the usual global Lipschitz hypothesis whenM=R n . There are also results on non-explosion of diffusions.Research supported by SERC grant GR/H67263  相似文献

Competitive Lotka-Volterra population dynamics with jumps   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
This paper considers competitive Lotka-Volterra population dynamics with jumps. The contributions of this paper are as follows. (a) We show that a stochastic differential equation (SDE) with jumps associated with the model has a unique global positive solution; (b) we discuss the uniform boundedness of the pth moment with p>0 and reveal the sample Lyapunov exponents; (c) using a variation-of-constants formula for a class of SDEs with jumps, we provide an explicit solution for one-dimensional competitive Lotka-Volterra population dynamics with jumps, and investigate the sample Lyapunov exponent for each component and the extinction of our n-dimensional model.  相似文献

We consider the Itô SDE with a non-degenerate diffusion coefficient and a measurable drift coefficient. Under the condition that the gradient of the diffusion coefficient and the divergences of the diffusion and drift coefficients are exponentially integrable with respect to the Gaussian measure, we show that the stochastic flow leaves the reference measure absolutely continuous.  相似文献

In [R. Buckdahn, B. Djehiche, J. Li, S. Peng, Mean-field backward stochastic differential equations. A limit approach. Ann. Probab. (2007) (in press). Available online: http://www.imstat.org/aop/future_papers.htm] the authors obtained mean-field Backward Stochastic Differential Equations (BSDE) associated with a mean-field Stochastic Differential Equation (SDE) in a natural way as a limit of a high dimensional system of forward and backward SDEs, corresponding to a large number of “particles” (or “agents”). The objective of the present paper is to deepen the investigation of such mean-field BSDEs by studying them in a more general framework, with general coefficient, and to discuss comparison results for them. In a second step we are interested in Partial Differential Equations (PDE) whose solutions can be stochastically interpreted in terms of mean-field BSDEs. For this we study a mean-field BSDE in a Markovian framework, associated with a McKean–Vlasov forward equation. By combining classical BSDE methods, in particular that of “backward semigroups” introduced by Peng [S. Peng, J. Yan, S. Peng, S. Fang, L. Wu (Eds.), in: BSDE and Stochastic Optimizations; Topics in Stochastic Analysis, Science Press, Beijing (1997) (Chapter 2) (in Chinese)], with specific arguments for mean-field BSDEs, we prove that this mean-field BSDE gives the viscosity solution of a nonlocal PDE. The uniqueness of this viscosity solution is obtained for the space of continuous functions with polynomial growth. With the help of an example it is shown that for the nonlocal PDEs associated with mean-field BSDEs one cannot expect to have uniqueness in a larger space of continuous functions.  相似文献

We generalise the current theory of optimal strong convergence rates for implicit Euler-based methods by allowing for Poisson-driven jumps in a stochastic differential equation (SDE). More precisely, we show that under one-sided Lipschitz and polynomial growth conditions on the drift coefficient and global Lipschitz conditions on the diffusion and jump coefficients, three variants of backward Euler converge with strong order of one half. The analysis exploits a relation between the backward and explicit Euler methods.  相似文献

Positive results are derived concerning the long time dynamics of numerical simulations of stochastic differential equation systems with Markovian switching. Euler–Maruyama discretizations are shown to capture almost sure and moment exponential stability for all sufficiently small timesteps under appropriate conditions.  相似文献

Extremal holomorphic diffusion processes are studied. We formulate a stochastic control problem for the extremal function of a set. We then characterize the extremal holomorphic diffusion processes as the optimal diffusion processes of the problem. By making use of SDE representation for the processes, we show that they move on an integral submanifold of the coefficients vector fields of the SDE passing through the starting point.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove the existence and uniqueness of the solution for a class of backward stochastic partial differential equations (BSPDEs, for short) driven by the Teugels martingales associated with a Lévy process satisfying some moment conditions and by an independent Brownian motion. An example is given to illustrate the theory.  相似文献

For ordinary differential systems, the study of A-stability for a numerical method reduces to the scalar case by means of a transformation that uncouples the linear test system as well as the difference system provided by the method. For stochastic differential equations (SDEs), mean-square stability (MS-stability) has been successfully proposed as the generalization of A-stability, and numerical MS-stability has been analyzed for one-dimensional equations. However, unlike the deterministic case, the extension of this analysis to multi-dimensional systems is not straightforward. In this paper we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the MS-stability of multi-dimensional systems with one Wiener noise. The criterion presented does not depend on any norm. Based on the Routh–Hurwitz theorem, we offer a particular criterion of MS-stability for two-dimensional systems in terms of their coefficients. In addition, a counterpart criterion of MS-stability is given for numerical schemes applied to multi-dimensional systems. The MS-stability behavior of a stochastic numerical method is determined by the comparison of its stability region with the stability region of the system. As an application, the numerical MS-stability of θθ-methods applied to bi-dimensional systems is investigated.  相似文献

Summary This paper is a sequel to Kendall (1987), which explained how the Itô formula for the radial part of Brownian motionX on a Riemannian manifold can be extended to hold for all time including those times a whichX visits the cut locus. This extension consists of the subtraction of a correction term, a continuous predictable non-decreasing processL which changes only whenX visits the cut locus. In this paper we derive a representation onL in terms of measures of local time ofX on the cut locus. In analytic terms we compute an expression for the singular part of the Laplacian of the Riemannian distance function. The work uses a relationship of the Riemannian distance function to convexity, first described by Wu (1979) and applied to radial parts of -martingales in Kendall (1993).The first author's research was supported by a visiting fellowship awarded by the UK Science and Engineering Council, by travel funds provided by a European Community SCIENCE initiative, by the Max-Planck-Institute of Bonn, and by a grant from NSA  相似文献

In this paper we study a stochastic partial differential equation (SPDE) with Hölder continuous coefficient driven by an α-stable colored noise. The pathwise uniqueness is proved by using a backward doubly stochastic differential equation backward (SDE) to take care of the Laplacian. The existence of solution is shown by considering the weak limit of a sequence of SDE system which is obtained by replacing the Laplacian operator in the SPDE by its discrete version. We also study an SDE system driven by Poisson random measures.  相似文献

A unified treatment is given of some results of H. Donnelly, P. Li and L. Schwartz concerning the behaviour of heat semigroups on open manifolds with given compactifications, on one hand, and the relationship with the behaviour at infinity of solutions of related stochastic differential equations on the other. A principal tool is the use of certain covers of the manifold: which also gives a non-explosion test. As a corollary we obtain known results about the behaviour of Brownian motions on a complete Riemannian manifold with Ricci curvature decaying at most quadratically in the distance function.  相似文献

Numerical schemes for initial value problems of stochastic differential equations (SDEs) are considered so as to derive the order conditions of ROW-type schemes in the weak sense. Rooted tree analysis, the well-known useful technique for the counterpart of the ordinary differential equation case, is extended to be applicable to the SDE case. In our analysis, the roots are bi-colored corresponding to the ordinary and stochastic differential terms, whereas the vertices have four kinds of label corresponding to the terms derived from the ROW-schemes. The analysis brings a transparent way for the weak order conditions of the scheme. An example is given for illustration.  相似文献

Applying the stochastic calculus of variations on frame bundles along tangent processes, we derive Bismut type formulae for the derivatives of diffusion semigroups on Riemannian manifold in both variables. We also obtain the Bismut formulae expressed in terms of the Ricci and torsion tensors for the connection with torsion.  相似文献

We consider non-linear stochastic functional differential equations (sfde's) on Euclidean space. We give sufficient conditions for the sfde to admit locally compact smooth cocycles on the underlying infinite-dimensional state space. Our construction is based on the theory of finite-dimensional stochastic flows and a non-linear variational technique. In Part II of this article, the above result will be used to prove a stable manifold theorem for non-linear sfde's.  相似文献

The goal of this paper is to generalize most of the moment formulae obtained in [12]. More precisely, we consider a general point process μ, and show that the quantities relevant to our problem are the so-called Papangelou intensities. When the Papangelou intensities of μ are well-defined, we show some general formulae to recover the moment of order n of the stochastic integral of the point process. We will use these extended results to introduce a divergence operator and study a random transformation of the point process.  相似文献
