In this paper, we construct Shintani lifts from integral weight weakly holomorphic modular forms to half-integral weight weakly holomorphic modular forms. Although defined by different methods, these coincide with the classical Shintani lifts when restricted to the space of cusp forms. As a side effect, this gives the coefficients of the classical Shintani lifts as new cycle integrals. This yields new formulas for the L-values of Hecke eigenforms. When restricted to the space of weakly holomorphic modular forms orthogonal to cusp forms, the Shintani lifts introduce a definition of weakly holomorphic Hecke eigenforms. Along the way, auxiliary lifts are constructed from the space of harmonic weak Maass forms which yield a “fractional derivative” from the space of half-integral weight harmonic weak Maass forms to half-integral weight weakly holomorphic modular forms. This fractional derivative complements the usual ξ-operator introduced by Bruinier and Funke.  相似文献

Given a totally real field F and a prime integer p which is unramified in F, we construct p-adic families of overconvergent Hilbert modular forms (of non-necessarily parallel weight) as sections of, so called, overconvergent Hilbert modular sheaves. We prove that the classical Hilbert modular forms of integral weights are overconvergent in our sense. We compare our notion with Katz’s definition of p-adic Hilbert modular forms. For F = ?, we prove that our notion of (families of) overconvergent elliptic modular forms coincides with those of R. Coleman and V. Pilloni.  相似文献

In this paper, we set up Shimura and Shintani correspondences between Jacobi forms and modular forms of integral weight for arbitrary level and character, and generalize the Eichler-Zagier isomorphism between Jacobi forms and modular forms of half-integral weight to higher levels. Using this together with the known results, we get a strong multiplicity 1 theorem in certain cases for both Jacobi cusp newforms and half-integral weight cusp newforms. As a consequence, we get, among other results, the explicit Waldspurger theorem.

In this paper, we study Jacobi forms of half-integral index for any even integral positive definite lattice L (classical Jacobi forms from the book of Eichler and Zagier correspond to the lattice A 1=〈2〉). We construct Jacobi forms of singular (respectively, critical) weight in all dimensions n≥8 (respectively, n≥9). We give the Jacobi lifting for Jacobi forms of half-integral indices and we obtain an additive lifting construction of new reflective modular forms which are natural generalizations to O(2,n) (n=4, 5 and 6) of the Igusa modular form Δ 5.  相似文献

In this paper, we construct for arbitrary reductive group a full eigenvariety, which parameterizes all p-adic overconvergent cohomological eigenforms of the group in the sense of Ash–Stevens and Urban. We also see that the eigenvariety constructed by Eric Urban (2011) [10] is the union of those irreducible components of codimension zero in the eigenvariety we constructed, therefore we can formulate Urban?s conjectures.  相似文献

For ordinary modular forms, there are two constructions of a p-adic L-function attached to the non-unit root of the Hecke polynomial, which are conjectured but not known to coincide. We prove this conjecture for modular forms of CM type, by calculating the critical-slope L-function arising from Kato’s Euler system and comparing this with results of Bellaïche on the critical-slope L-function defined using overconvergent modular symbols.  相似文献

We give a proof of the irrationality of p-adic zeta-values ξp(κ) for p = 2, 3 and κ = 2,3.Such results were recently obtained by Calegari as an application of overconvergent p-adic modular forms. In this paper we present an approach using classical continued fractions discovered by Stieltjes. In addition we show the irrationality of some other p-adic L-series values, and values of the p-adic Hurwitz zeta-function.  相似文献

This article is the first in a series devoted to Kato’s Euler system arising from p-adic families of Beilinson elements in the K-theory of modular curves. It proves a p-adic Beilinson formula relating the syntomic regulator (in the sense of Coleman-de Shalit and Besser) of certain distinguished elements in the K-theory of modular curves to the special values at integer points ≥ 2 of the Mazur-Swinnerton-Dyer p-adic L-function attached to cusp forms of weight 2. When combined with the explicit relation between syntomic regulators and p-adic étale cohomology, this leads to an alternate proof of the main results of [Br2] and [Ge] which is independent of Kato’s explicit reciprocity law.  相似文献

The theory of “generalized modular forms,” initiated here, grows naturally out of questions inherent in rational conformal field theory. The latter physical theory studies q-series arising as trace functions (or partition functions), which generate a finite-dimensional SL(2,Z)-module. It is a natural step to investigate whether these q-series are in fact modular forms in the classical sense. As it turns out, the existence of the module does not, of itself, guarantee that this is so. Indeed, our Theorem 1 shows that such q-series of necessity behave like modular forms in every respect, with the important exception that the multiplier system need not be of absolute value one. The Supplement to Theorem 1 shows that such q-series are classical modular forms exactly when the scalars relating the q-series generators of the module have absolute value one. That is, the SL(2,Z)-module in question is unitary. (There is the further restriction that the associated representation is monomial.) We prove as well that there exist generalized modular forms which are not classical modular forms. (Hence, as asserted above, the q-series need not be classical modular forms.)Beyond Theorem 1 and its Supplement, which serve to relate our generalized modular forms to classical modular forms (and thus justify the name), this work develops a number of their fundamental properties. Among these are a basic result relating generalized modular forms to classical modular forms of weight 2 and so, as well, to abelian integrals. Further, we prove two general existence results and a complete characterization of weight k generalized modular forms in terms of generalized modular forms of weight 0 and classical modular forms of weight k.  相似文献

Imai considered the twisted Koecher-Maass series for Siegel cusp forms of degree?2, twisted by Maass cusp forms and Eisenstein series, and used them to prove the converse theorem for Siegel modular forms. They do not have Euler products, and it is not even known whether they converge absolutely for Re(s)>1. Hence the standard convexity arguments do not apply to give bounds. In this paper, we obtain the average version of the second moments of the twisted Koecher-Maass series, using Titchmarsh??s method of Mellin inversion. When the Siegel modular form is a Saito Kurokawa lift of some half integral weight modular form, a theorem of Duke and Imamoglu says that the twisted Koecher Maass series is the Rankin-Selberg L-function of the half-integral weight form and Maass form of weight?1/2. Hence as a corollary, we obtain the average version of the second moment result for the Rankin-Selberg L-functions attached to half integral weight forms.  相似文献

Let G be a connected reductive quasi-split algebraic group over a field L which is a finite extension of the p-adic numbers. We construct an exact sequence modelled on (the dual of) the BGG resolution involving locally analytic principal series representations for G(L). This leads to an exact sequence involving spaces of overconvergent p-adic automorphic forms for certain groups compact modulo centre at infinity.  相似文献

We prove that a Siegel cusp form of degree 2 for the full modular group is determined by its set of Fourier coefficients a(S) with 4 det(S) ranging over odd squarefree integers. As a key step to our result, we also prove that a classical cusp form of half-integral weight and level 4N, with N odd and squarefree, is determined by its set of Fourier coefficients a(d) with d ranging over odd squarefree integers, a result that was previously known only for Hecke eigenforms.  相似文献

Using the moduli theory of abelian varieties and a recent result of Böcherer-Nagaoka on lifting of the generalized Hasse invariant, we show congruences between the weights of Siegel modular forms with congruent Fourier expansions. This result implies that the weights of p-adic Siegel modular forms are well defined.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to show how differential characters of Abelian varieties (in the sense of [A. Buium, Differential characters of Abelian varieties over p-adic fields, Invent. Math. 122 (1995) 309-340]) can be used to construct differential modular forms of weight 0 and order 2 (in the sense of [A. Buium, Differential modular forms, Crelle J. 520 (2000) 95-167]) which are eigenvectors of Hecke operators. These differential modular forms will have “essentially the same” eigenvalues as certain classical complex eigenforms of weight 2 (and order 0).  相似文献

We show that certain p-adic Eisenstein series for quaternionic modular groups of degree 2 become “real” modular forms of level p in almost all cases. To prove this, we introduce a U(p) type operator. We also show that there exists a p-adic Eisenstein series of the above type that has transcendental coefficients. Former examples of p-adic Eisenstein series for Siegel and Hermitian modular groups are both rational (i.e., algebraic).  相似文献

We use a method of Buzzard to study p-adic families of Hilbert modular forms and modular forms over imaginary quadratic fields. In the case of Hilbert modular forms, we get local constancy of dimensions of spaces of fixed slope and varying weight. For imaginary quadratic fields we obtain bounds independent of the weight on the dimensions of such spaces.  相似文献

Using a p-adic monodromy theorem on the affine ordinary locus in the minimally compactified moduli scheme modulo powers of a prime p of abelian varieties, we extend Katz?s results on congruence and p-adic properties of elliptic modular forms to Siegel modular forms of higher degree.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the distribution of the coefficients a(n) of half-integral weight modular forms modulo odd integers M. As a consequence, we obtain improvements of indivisibility results for the central critical values of quadratic twists of L-functions associated with integral weight newforms established in Ono and Skinner (Fourier coefficients of half-integral weight modular forms modulo ?, Ann. of Math. 147 (1998) 453-470). Moreover, we find a simple criterion for proving cases of Newman's conjecture for the partition function.  相似文献

The theory of p-adic modular forms initiated by Serre, Dwork, and Katz (p-Adic Properties of Modular Schemes and Modular Forms, Lecture Notes in Mathematics, Vol. 350, Springer, Berlin, 1973) “lives” on the complement (in the p-adic completion of the appropriate modular curve) of the zero locus of the Eisenstein form Ep−1. On the other hand, most of the interesting phenomena in the theory of differential modular forms (J. Reine Angew. Math. (520) (2000) 95) take place on the complement of the zero locus of a fundamental differential modular form called fjet. We establish that the zero locus of the reduction modulo p for p not congruent to one modulo 12 of the Eisenstein form Ep−1 is not contained in the zero locus of the reduction modulo p of the differential modular form fjet implying that the theory of differential modular forms is applicable in certain situations not covered by the theory of p-adic modular forms.  相似文献

We address a question posed by Ono [Ken Ono, The Web of Modularity: Arithmetic of the Coefficients of Modular Forms and q-Series, CBMS Reg. Conf. Ser. Math., vol. 102, Amer. Math. Soc., Providence, RI, 2004, Problem 7.30], prove a general result for powers of an arbitrary prime, and provide an explanation for the appearance of higher congruence moduli for certain small primes. One of our results overlaps but does not coincide with a recent result of Jenkins [Paul Jenkins, p-Adic properties for traces of singular moduli, Int. J. Number Theory 1 (1) (2005) 103-107]. This result essentially coincides with a recent result of Edixhoven [Bas Edixhoven, On the p-adic geometry of traces of singular moduli, preprint, 2005, math.NT/0502213 v1], and we hope that the comparison of the methods, which are entirely different, may reveal a connection between the p-adic geometry and the arithmetic of half-integral weight Hecke operators.  相似文献
