We construct complex surfaces with genus two fibrations over \mathbb P1{\mathbb P^1} having special fibres such that the minimum of the multiplicities of the components is ≥ 2 whereas the g.c.d is 1. We can then produce new examples of fibred surfaces without multiple fibres which are of “general type” according to the definition of Campana. We prove that these surfaces are of general type and simply connected; and we compute in some cases their invariants. Moreover, we extend the construction obtaining general type fibrations of any even genus on simply connected surfaces. All our examples are defined over number fields.  相似文献

We give new examples of algebraic elliptic surfaces and non-algebraic rigid analytic elliptic surfaces by means of logarithmic transformations. In the complex analytic case, it is known that all multiple fibers of elliptic surfaces are obtained by logarithmic transformations. Using rigid analytic geometry, we construct similar transformations of elliptic surfaces over complete non-Archimedean valuation base fields. These operations yield rigid analytic elliptic fibrations with multiple fibers. When the resulting surface admits an ample line bundle, we may algebraize the surface. In the positive characteristic case, we obtain new types of algebraic elliptic surfaces. We also obtain a non-algebraic rigid analytic surface the combination of whose invariants appears neither in the algebraic case nor in the complex analytic case.  相似文献

Four-folds with trivial canonical bundles are divided into six classes according to their holonomy group. We consider examples that are fibred by abelian surfaces over the projective plane. We construct such fibrations in five of the six classes, and prove that there is no such fibration in the sixth class. We classify all such fibrations whose generic fibre is the Jacobian of a genus two curve.  相似文献

This article presents several new constructions of infinite families of smooth 4-manifolds with the property that any two manifolds in the same family are homeomorphic. While the construction gives strong evidence that any two of these manifolds of are not diffeomorphic, they cannot be distinguished by Seiberg-Witten invariants. Whether these manifolds are, or are not, diffeomorphic seems to be a very difficult question to answer. For one of these constructions, each member of the family is symplectic with the further property that each contains nullhomologous tori with the property that infinitely many log transformations on these tori yield nonsymplectic 4-manifolds. This is detected by calculations of Seiberg-Witten invariants. The surgery in question can be performed on any 4-manifold which contains as a codimension 0 submanifold a punctured surface bundle over a punctured surface and a nontrivial loop in the base which has trivial monodromy. A starting point for another class of examples in this paper is a family of examples which show that the Parshin-Arakelov theorem for holomorphic Lefschetz fibrations is false in the symplectic category. Such families are constructed by means of knot surgery on ellipitic surfaces. It is shown that for a fixed homeomorphism type X (of a simply connected elliptic surface) and a fixed integer g?3, there are infinitely many genus g Lefschetz fibrations on nondiffeomorphic 4-manifolds, all homeomorphic to X.  相似文献

We construct noncomplex smooth 4-manifolds which admit genus-2 Lefschetz fibrations over . The fibrations are necessarily hyperelliptic, and the resulting 4-manifolds are not even homotopy equivalent to complex surfaces. Furthermore, these examples show that fiber sums of holomorphic Lefschetz fibrations do not necessarily admit complex structures.

The modular invariants of a family of curves are the degrees of the pullback of the corresponding divisors by the moduli map. The singularity indices were introduced by Xiao (1991) to classify singular fibers of hyperelliptic fibrations and to compute global invariants locally. In semistable case, the author shows that the modular invariants corresponding to the boundary divisor classes are just the singularity indices. As an application, the author shows that the formula of Xiao for relative Chern numbers is the same as that of Cornalba-Harris in semistable case.  相似文献

We introduce the notion of a pseudotoric structure on a symplectic manifold, generalizing the notion of a toric structure. We show that such a pseudotoric structure can exist on toric and nontoric symplectic manifolds. For the toric manifolds, it describes deformations of the standard toric Lagrangian fibrations; for the nontoric ones, it gives Lagrangian fibrations with singularities that are very close to the toric fibrations. We present examples of toric manifolds with different pseudotoric structures and prove that certain nontoric manifolds (smooth complex quadrics) have such structures. In the future, introducing this new structure can be useful for generalizing the geometric quantization and mirror symmetry methods that work well in the toric case to a broader class of Fano varieties.  相似文献

In this note we define fibrations of topological stacks and establish their main properties. When restricted to topological spaces, our notion of fibration coincides with the classical one. We prove various standard results about fibrations (long exact sequence for homotopy groups, Leray–Serre and Eilenberg–Moore spectral sequences, etc.). We prove various criteria for a morphism of topological stacks to be a fibration, and use these to produce examples of fibrations. We prove that every morphism of topological stacks factors through a fibration and construct the homotopy fiber of a morphism of topological stacks. As an immediate consequence of the machinery we develop, we also prove van Kampen?s theorem for fundamental groups of topological stacks.  相似文献

Summary Special points of spacelike and timelike 2-surfaces are defined by means of algebraic relations between the second order invariants of their immersion. Generic immersions are then defined and by means of direction fields constructed over the surface, the least number of such points is related to global properties of the surface. Moreover it is proved that every compact spacelike 2-surface has at least one point where the normal curvature is zero. Consequences are drawn for generic 2-spheres and trapped surfaces. We show that fiberwise stable vector bundles are preserved by relative Fourier–Mukai transforms between elliptic threefolds with relative Picard number one. Using these bundles we define new invariants of elliptic fibrations, and we relate the invariants of a space with those of a relative moduli space of stable sheaves on it. We define strong cofibrations and fibrations in suitably enriched categories using the relative homotopy extension resp. lifting property. We prove a general pairing result, which for topological spaces specializes to the well-known pushout-product theorem for cofibrations. Strong cofibrations and fibrations give rise to cofibration and fibration categories in the sense of homotopical algebra. We discuss various examples; in particular, we deduce that the category of chain complexes with chain equivalences and the category of categories with equivalences are symmetric monoidal proper closed model categories. We study here the O-dimension Chow group of some particular smooth varieties which are fibrations over curves (i.e. are equipped with a proper, surjective morphism over a smooth curve). We obtain finiteness results for fibrations, whose generic fibres are Severi-Brauer varieties of squarefree index, when the group field is a number field (or in some particular cases a finitely generated field over Q).  相似文献

We consider threefold del Pezzo fibrations over a curve germ whose central fiber is nonrational. Under the additional assumption that the singularities of the total space are at worst ordinary double points, we apply a suitable base change and show that there is a one-to-one correspondence between such fibrations and certain nonsingular del Pezzo fibrations equipped with a cyclic group action.

We consider a relative Fourier‐Mukai transform de.ned on elliptic fibrations over an arbitrary base scheme. This is used to construct relative Atiyah sheaves and generalize Atiyah and Tu's results about semistable sheaves over elliptic curves to the case of elliptic fibrations. We prove a result that can be applied to determine the finite-dimensional simple Poisson modules over a Poisson algebra and apply it to numerous examples. We give an explicit method to construct symplectic manifolds endowed with a compatible pseudo-metric. They appear as the total space of a special kind of fibrations that were studied in [1]. We show that the renormalized quantum invariants of links and graphs in the 3-sphere, derived from tensor categories in Geer et al. (2009) [14], lead to modified 6j-symbols and to new state sum 3-manifold invariants. We give examples of categories such that the associated standard Turaev–Viro 3-manifold invariants vanish but the secondary invariants may be non-zero. The categories in these examples are pivotal categories which are neither ribbon nor semi-simple and have an infinite number of simple objects.  相似文献

We study invariants of linear partial differential operators in two variables under gauge transformations. Using the Beals-Kartashova factorization, we construct a hierarchy of generalized invariants for operators of an arbitrary order. We study the properties of these invariants and give some examples.
