Topochemical reduction of (layered) perovskite iron oxides with metal hydrides has so far yielded stoichiometric compositions with ordered oxygen defects with iron solely in FeO(4) square planar coordination. Using this method, we have successfully obtained a new oxygen-deficient perovskite, (Sr(1-x)Ba(x))FeO(2) (0.4 ≤ x ≤ 1.0), revealing that square planar coordination can coexist with other 3-6-fold coordination geometries. This BaFeO(2) structure is analogous to the LaNiO(2.5) structure in that one-dimensional octahedral chains are linked by planar units, but differs in that one of the octahedral chains contains a significant amount of oxygen vacancies and that all the iron ions are exclusively divalent in the high-spin state. M?ssbauer spectroscopy demonstrates, despite the presence of partial oxygen occupations and structural disorders, that the planar-coordinate Fe(2+) ions are bonded highly covalently, which accounts for the formation of the unique structure. At the same time, a rigid 3D Fe-O-Fe framework contributes to structural stabilization. Powder neutron diffraction measurements revealed a G-type magnetic order with a drastic decrease of the Néel temperature compared to that of SrFeO(2), presumably due to the effect of oxygen disorder/defects. We also performed La substitution at the Ba site and found that the oxygen vacancies act as a flexible sink to accommodate heterovalent doping without changing the Fe oxidation and spin state, demonstrating the robustness of this new structure against cation substitution.  相似文献

The Mo(10-x)V(x)O(y) solid-solution systems (0≤x≤10) were studied by electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy. The results show the existence of paramagnetic vanadyl VO(2+) species, whose concentration becomes maximal for Mo(5)V(5)O(y·). A quantitative analysis of the [VO(2+)] concentration as a function of the Mo/V ratio allows it to characterize the prevailing defect chemistry in the Mo(10-x)V(x)O(y) system. In this respect, the semi-conducting properties of Mo(10-x)V(x)O(y) are p-type in an interval of Mo(9)V(1)O(y)-Mo(5)V(5)O(y) and switch into n-type because of the conduction electrons in a composition range of Mo(5)V(5)O(y)-Mo(1)V(9)O(y). Highest catalytic activity is obtained when vanadium acts as an acceptor center and oxygen vacancies ν(··)(O) are formed for reasons of charge compensation. In addition to the surface, ν(··)(O) and VO(2+) centers in the bulk have to be considered too for heterogeneous catalysis.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline Ce(1-x)Fe(x)O(2-δ) (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.45) and Ce(0.65)Fe(0.33)Pd(0.02)O(2-δ) of ~4 nm sizes were synthesized by a sonochemical method using diethyletriamine (DETA) as a complexing agent. Compounds were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photo-electron spectroscopy (XPS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Ce(1-x)Fe(x)O(2-δ) (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.45) and Ce(0.65)Fe(0.33)Pd(0.02)O(2-δ) crystallize in fluorite structure where Fe is in +3, Ce is in +4 and Pd is in +2 oxidation state. Due to substitution of smaller Fe(3+) ion in CeO(2), lattice oxygen is activated and 33% Fe substituted CeO(2)i.e. Ce(0.67)Fe(0.33)O(1.835) reversibly releases 0.31[O] up to 600 °C which is higher or comparable to the oxygen storage capacity of CeO(2)-ZrO(2) based solid solutions (Catal. Today 2002, 74, 225-234). Due to interaction of redox potentials of Pd(2+/0)(0.89 V) and Fe(3+/2+) (0.77 V) with Ce(4+/3+) (1.61 V), Pd ion accelerates the electron transfer from Fe(2+) to Ce(4+) in Ce(0.65)Fe(0.33)Pd(0.02)O(1.815), making it a high oxygen storage material as well as a highly active catalyst for CO oxidation and water gas shift reaction. The activation energy for CO oxidation with Ce(0.65)Fe(0.33)Pd(0.02)O(1.815) is found to be as low as 38 kJ mol(-1). Ce(0.67)Fe(0.33)O(1.835) and Ce(0.65)Fe(0.33)Pd(0.02)O(1.815) have also shown high activity for the water gas shift reaction. CO conversion to CO(2) is 100% H(2) specific with these catalysts and conversion rate was found to be as high 27.2 μmoles g(-1) s(-1) and the activation energy was found to be 46.4 kJ mol(-1) for Ce(0.65)Fe(0.33)Pd(0.02)O(1.815).  相似文献

Porous spinel ferrites Mn(1-x)Zn(x)Fe(2)O(4) (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.8) are synthesized by a simple sol-gel method with egg white. All samples exhibit porous morphologies and large BET surface area (S(BET)). The substitution of Zn(2+) affects the magnetic properties of ferrites and the adsorption properties of methylene blue (MB) on ferrites, obviously. The saturation magnetization (Ms) of Mn(1-x)Zn(x)Fe(2)O(4) increases before x=0.4, and decreases with further increase of Zn(2+) substitution. This can be ascribed to the changes of the cationic distribution and the variation of spin arrangement in A-site and B-site of spinel structure. All samples show high adsorption capacity and the removal efficiencies of MB reach up to >90% within 3 h. The Zn(2+) substitution accelerates the adsorption rate and capacity of MB on Mn(1-x)Zn(x)Fe(2)O(4). The quickest adsorption occurred at x=0.2 and the largest adsorption capacity occurred at x=0.8.  相似文献

The kinetics and mechanism of the ligand substitution reaction between Fe(2)(OH)(2)(4+) and periodate ion has been studied. This process is unique among the reactions of the iron(iii) hydroxo dimer because the initial rate is second-order with respect to Fe(2)(OH)(2)(4+). The formation of a bi- and a tetranuclear complex, Fe(2)(OH)(2)(H(4)IO(6))(3+) and Fe(4)(OH)(4)(H(4)IO(6))(7+), is proposed. Comprehensive fitting of the kinetic data was used to show that the proposed model, which is very similar to earlier models used with other inorganic oxoanions, gives a reasonable interpretation of all observations. It is shown that the lifetime of Fe(2)(OH)(2)(H(4)IO(6))(3+) is relatively long and it can open a pathway to form oligomeric and less soluble products at higher initial concentrations. The speciation of aqueous periodate ion solution was also studied and it is proposed that the tetrahedral form, IO(4)(-), is less dominant over the octahedral form, H(4)IO(6)(-), than previously thought.  相似文献

Reaction between the Os(VI)-hydrazido complex, trans-[Os(VI)(tpy)(Cl)(2)(NN(CH(2))(4)O)](2+) (tpy = 2,2':6',2"-terpyridine and O(CH(2))(4)N(-) = morpholide), and a series of N- or O-bases gives as products the substituted Os(VI)-hydrazido complexes, trans-[Os(VI)(4'-RNtpy)(Cl)(2)(NN(CH(2))(4)O)](2+) or trans-[Os(VI)(4'-ROtpy)(Cl)(2)(NN(CH(2))(4)O)](2+) (RN(-) = anilide (PhNH(-)); S,S-diphenyl sulfilimide (Ph(2)S=N(-)); benzophenone imide (Ph(2)C=N(-)); piperidide ((CH(2))(5)N(-)); morpholide (O(CH(2))(4)N(-)); ethylamide (EtNH(-)); diethylamide (Et(2)N(-)); and tert-butylamide (t-BuNH(-)) and RO(-) = tert-butoxide (t-BuO(-)) and acetate (MeCO(2)(-)). The rate law for the formation of the morpholide-substituted complex is first order in trans-[Os(VI)(tpy)(Cl)(2)(NN(CH(2))(4)O)](2+) and second order in morpholine with k(morp)(25 degrees C, CH(3)CN) = (2.15 +/- 0.04) x 10(6) M(-)(2) s(-)(1). Possible mechanisms are proposed for substitution at the 4'-position of the tpy ligand by the added nucleophiles. The key features of the suggested mechanisms are the extraordinary electron withdrawing effect of Os(VI) on tpy and the ability of the metal to undergo intramolecular Os(VI) to Os(IV) electron transfer. These substituted Os(VI)-hydrazido complexes can be electrochemically reduced to the corresponding Os(V), Os(IV), and Os(III) forms. The Os-N bond length of 1.778(4) A and Os-N-N angle of 172.5(4) degrees in trans-[Os(VI)(4'-O(CH(2))(4)Ntpy)(Cl)(2)(NN(CH(2))(4)O)](2+) are consistent with sp-hybridization of the alpha-nitrogen of the hydrazido ligand and an Os-N triple bond. The extensive ring substitution chemistry implied for the Os(VI)-hydrazido complexes is discussed.  相似文献

A composite cathode material for lithium ion battery applications, Mo-doped LiFePO(4)/C, is obtained through a facile and fast microwave-assisted synthesis method. Rietveld analysis of LiFePO(4)-based structural models using synchrotron X-ray diffraction data shows that Mo-ions substitute onto the Fe sites and displace Fe-ions to the Li sites. Supervalent Mo(6+) doping can act to introduce Li ion vacancies due to the charge compensation effect and therefore facilitate lithium ion diffusion during charging/discharging. Transmission electron microscope images demonstrate that the pure and doped LiFePO(4) nanoparticles were uniformly covered by an approximately 5 nm thin layer of graphitic carbon. Amorphous carbon on the graphitic carbon-coated pure and doped LiFePO(4) particles forms a three-dimensional (3D) conductive carbon network, effectively improving the conductivity of these materials. The combined effects of Mo-doping and the 3D carbon network dramatically enhance the electrochemical performance of these LiFePO(4) cathodes. In particular, Mo-doped LiFePO(4)/C delivers a reversible capacity of 162 mA h g(-1) at a current of 0.5 C and shows enhanced capacity retention compared to that of undoped LiFePO(4)/C. Moreover, the electrode exhibits excellent rate capability, with an associated high discharge capacity and good electrochemical reversibility.  相似文献

Iron(III)-doped TiO(2) nanopowders, with controlled iron to titanium atomic ratios (R(Fe/Ti)) ranging from nominal 0 to 20%, were synthesized using oxidative pyrolysis of liquid-feed metallorganic precursors in a radiation-frequency (RF) thermal plasma. The valence of iron doped in the TiO(2), phase formation, defect structures, band gaps, and magnetic properties of the resultant nanopowders were systematically investigated using M?ssbauer spectroscopy, XRD, Raman spectroscopy, TEM/HRTEM, UV-vis spectroscopy, and measurements of magnetic properties. The iron doped in TiO(2) was trivalent (3+) in a high-spin state as determined by the isomer shift and quadrupole splitting from the M?ssbauer spectra. No other phases except anatase and rutile TiO(2) were identified in the resultant nanopowders. Interestingly, thermodynamically metastable anatase predominated in the undoped TiO(2) nanopowders, which can be explained from a kinetic point of view based on classical homogeneous nucleation theory. With iron doping, the formation of rutile was strongly promoted because rutile is more tolerant than anatase to the defects such as oxygen vacancies resulting from the substitution of Fe(3+) for Ti(4+) in TiO(2). The concentration of oxygen vacancies reached a maximum at R(Fe/Ti) = 2% above which excessive oxygen vacancies tended to concentrate. As a result of this concentration, an extended defect like crystallographic shear (CS) structure was established. With iron doping, red shift of the absorption edges occurred in addition to the d-d electron transition of iron in the visible light region. The as-prepared iron-doped TiO(2) nanopowders were paramagnetic in nature at room temperature.  相似文献

In the search for complexes modeling the [Fe(CN)(2)(CO)(cysteinate)(2)] cores of the active centers of [NiFe] hydrogenases, the complex (NEt(4))(2)[Fe(CN)(2)(CO)('S(3)')] (4) was found ('S(3)'(2-)=bis(2-mercaptophenyl)sulfide(2-)). Starting complex for the synthesis of 4 was [Fe(CO)(2)('S(3)')](2) (1). Complex 1 formed from [Fe(CO)(3)(PhCH=CHCOMe)] and neutral 'S(3)'-H(2). Reactions of 1 with PCy(3) or DPPE (1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane) yielded diastereoselectively [Fe(CO)(2)(PCy(3))('S(3)')] (2) and [Fe(CO)(dppe)('S(3)')] (3). The diastereoselective formation of 2 and 3 is rationalized by the trans influence of the 'S(3)'(2-) thiolate and thioether S atoms which act as pi donors and pi acceptors, respectively. The trans influence of the 'S(3)'(2-) sulfur donors also rationalizes the diastereoselective formation of the C(1) symmetrical anion of 4, when 1 is treated with four equivalents of NEt(4)CN. The molecular structures of 1, 3 x 0.5 C(7)H(8), and (AsPh(4))(2)[Fe(CN)(2)(CO)('S(3)')] x acetone (4 a x C(3)H(6)O) were determined by X-ray structure analyses. Complex 4 is the first complex that models the unusual 2:1 cyano/carbonyl and dithiolate coordination of the [NiFe] hydrogenase iron site. Complex 4 can be reversibly oxidized electrochemically; chemical oxidation of 4 by [Fe(Cp)(2)PF(6)], however, led to loss of the CO ligand and yielded only products, which could not be characterized. When dissolved in solvents of increasing proton activity (from CH(3)CN to buffered H(2)O), complex 4 exhibits drastic nu(CO) blue shifts of up to 44 cm(-1), and relatively small nu(CN) red shifts of approximately 10 cm(-1). The nu(CO) frequency of 4 in H(2)O (1973 cm(-1)) is higher than that of any hydrogenase state (1952 cm(-1)). In addition, the nu(CO) frequency shift of 4 in various solvents is larger than that of [NiFe] hydrogenase in its most reduced or oxidized state. These results demonstrate that complexes modeling properly the nu(CO) frequencies of [NiFe] hydrogenase probably need a [Ni(thiolate)(2)] unit. The results also demonstrate that the nu(CO) frequency of [Fe(CN)(2)(CO)(thiolate)(2)] complexes is more significantly shifted by changing the solvent than the nu(CO) frequency of [NiFe] hydrogenases by coupled-proton and electron-transfer reactions. The "iron-wheel" complex [Fe(6)[Fe('S(3)')(2)](6)] (6) resulting as a minor by-product from the recrystallization of 2 in boiling toluene could be characterized by X-ray structure analysis.  相似文献

The versatile N(2)S(2) tetradentate ligands (bme-daco)(2-), (bme-dach)(2-), and (ema)(4-) are known to accommodate many divalent transition-metal ions (M = Ni(II), Pd(II), Pt(II), Pb(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Cu(II), and Fe(II)) while maintaining reactivity at the S-thiolate sites of the respective N(2)S(2)M complexes. The vanadyl ion, of interest for its pharmacological possibilities and its spin-label reporter properties for bioinorganic studies, also shows an affinity for such mixed nitrogen/sulfur-donor environments. Thus, (V≡O)(2+) analogues of a well-characterized series of N(2)S(2)Ni complexes have been prepared as mimics of possible N(2)S(2)(V≡O) formed from in vivo binding sites of the tripeptide motif, Cys-X-Cys. The nucleophilicity of the S-thiolate in these systems is explored with alkylating agents. IR [ν(VO)], electronic spectral, and electron paramagnetic resonance measurements are presented. X-ray diffraction studies of (bme-daco)(V≡O), (bme-dach)(V≡O), and [Et(4)N](2)[(ema)(V≡O)] further characterize the vanadyl complexes. A comparison of the spectral properties with the product of vanadyl interaction with the CGC tripeptide, the biological analogue of the tetraanionic N(2)S(2) ligand, is given.  相似文献

A new series of cubane-type [VFe(3)S(4)](z)() clusters (z = 1+, 2+, 3+) has been prepared as possible precursor species for clusters related to those present in vanadium-containing nitrogenase. Treatment of [(HBpz(3))VFe(3)S(4)Cl(3)](2)(-) (2, z = 2+), protected from further reaction at the vanadium site by the tris(pyrazolyl)hydroborate ligand, with ferrocenium ion affords the oxidized cluster [(HBpz(3))VFe(3)S(4)Cl(3)](1)(-) (3, z = 3+). Reaction of 2 with Et(3)P results in chloride substitution to give [(HBpz(3))VFe(3)S(4)(PEt(3))(3)](1+) (4, z = 2+). Reaction of 4 with cobaltocene reduced the cluster with formation of the edge-bridged double-cubane [(HBpz(3))(2)V(2)Fe(6)S(8)(PEt(3))(4)] (5, z = 1+, 1+), which with excess chloride underwent ligand substitution to afford [(HBpz(3))(2)V(2)Fe(6)S(8)Cl(4)](4)(-) (6, z = 1+, 1+). X-ray structures of (Me(4)N)[3], [4](PF(6)), 5, and (Et(4)N)(4)[6] x 2MeCN are described. Cluster 5 is isostructural with previously reported [(Cl(4)cat)(2)(Et(3)P)(2)Mo(2)Fe(6)S(8)(PEt(3))(4)] and contains two VFe(3)S(4) cubanes connected across edges by a Fe(2)S(2) rhomb in which the bridging Fe-S distances are shorter than intracubane Fe-S distances. M?ssbauer (2-5), magnetic (2-5), and EPR (2, 4) data are reported and demonstrate an S = 3/2 ground state for 2 and 4 and a diamagnetic ground state for 3. Analysis of (57)Fe isomer shifts based on an empirical correlation between shift and oxidation state and appropriate reference shifts results in two conclusions. (i) The oxidation 2 --> 3 + e(-) results in a change in electron density localized largely or completely on the Fe(3) subcluster and associated sulfur atoms. (ii) The most appropriate charge distributions are [V(3+)Fe(3+)Fe(2+)(2)S(4)](2+) (Fe(2.33+)) for 1, 2, and 4 and [V(3+)Fe(3+)(2)Fe(2+)S(4)](3+) (Fe(2.67+)) for 3 and [V(2)Fe(6)S(8)(SEt)(9)](3+). Conclusion i applies to every MFe(3)S(4) cubane-type cluster thus far examined in different redox states at parity of cluster ligation. The formalistic charge distributions are regarded as the best current approximations to electron distributions in these delocalized species. The isomer shifts require that iron atoms are mixed-valence in each cluster.  相似文献

The iron mixed-valence complex (n-C(3)H(7))(4)N[Fe(II)Fe(III)(dto)(3)] exhibits a novel type of phase transition called charge-transfer phase transition (CTPT), where the thermally induced electron transfer between Fe(II) and Fe(III) occurs reversibly at ~120 K, in addition to the ferromagnetic phase transition at T(C) = 7 K. To investigate the mechanism of the CTPT, we have synthesized a series of magnetically diluted complexes (n-C(3)H(7))(4)N[Fe(II)(1-x)Zn(II)(x)Fe(III)(dto)(3)] (dto = C(2)O(2)S(2); x = 0-1), and carried out magnetic susceptibility and dielectric constant measurements and (57)Fe M?ssbauer spectroscopy. With increasing Zn(II) concentration (x), the CTPT is gradually suppressed and disappears at x ≈ 0.13. On the other hand, the ferromagnetic transition temperature (T(C)) is initially enhanced from 7 K to 12 K between x = 0.00 and 0.05, despite the nonmagnetic nature of Zn(II) ions, and then it decreases monotonically from 12 K to 3 K with increasing Zn(II) concentration. This anomalous dependence of T(C) on Zn(II) concentration is related to a change in the spin configuration of the ferromagnetic state caused by the partial suppression of the CTPT.  相似文献

The reduction of ClO(2) to ClO(2)(-) by aqueous iron(II) in 0.5 M HClO(4) proceeds by both outer-sphere (86%) and inner-sphere (14%) electron-transfer pathways. The second-order rate constant for the outer-sphere reaction is 1.3 x 10(6) M(-1) s(-1). The inner-sphere electron-transfer reaction takes place via the formation of FeClO(2)(2+) that is observed as an intermediate. The rate constant for the inner-sphere path (2.0 x 10(5) M(-1) s(-1)) is controlled by ClO(2) substitution of a coordinated water to give an inner-sphere complex between ClO(2) and Fe(II) that very rapidly transfers an electron to give (Fe(III)(ClO(2)(-))(H(2)O)(5)(2+))(IS). The composite activation parameters for the ClO(2)/Fe(aq)(2+) reaction (inner-sphere + outer-sphere) are the following: DeltaH(r)++ = 40 kJ mol(-1); DeltaS(r)++ = 1.7 J mol(-1) K(-1). The Fe(III)ClO(2)(2+) inner-sphere complex dissociates to give Fe(aq)(3+) and ClO(2)(-) (39.3 s(-1)). The activation parameters for the dissociation of this complex are the following: DeltaH(d)++= 76 kJ mol(-1); DeltaS(d)++= 32 J K(-1) mol(-1). The reaction of Fe(aq)(2+) with ClO(2)(-) is first order in each species with a second-order rate constant of k(ClO2)- = 2.0 x 10(3) M(-1) s(-1) that is five times larger than the rate constant for the Fe(aq)(2+) reaction with HClO(2) in H(2)SO(4) medium ([H(+)] = 0.01-0.13 M). The composite activation parameters for the Fe(aq)(2+)/Cl(III) reaction in H(2)SO(4) are DeltaH(Cl(III))++ = 41 kJ mol(-1) and DeltaS(Cl(III))++ = 48 J mol(-1) K(-1).  相似文献

The new cyano complexes of formulas PPh(4)[Fe(III)(bipy)(CN)(4)] x H(2)O (1), [[Fe(III)(bipy)(CN)(4)](2)M(II)(H(2)O)(4)] x 4H(2)O with M = Mn (2) and Zn (3), and [[Fe(III)(bipy)(CN)(4)](2)Zn(II)] x 2H(2)O (4) [bipy = 2,2'-bipyridine and PPh(4) = tetraphenylphosphonium cation] have been synthesized and structurally characterized. The structure of complex 1 is made up of mononuclear [Fe(bipy)(CN)(4)](-) anions, tetraphenyphosphonium cations, and water molecules of crystallization. The iron(III) is hexacoordinated with two nitrogen atoms of a chelating bipy and four carbon atoms of four terminal cyanide groups, building a distorted octahedron around the metal atom. The structure of complexes 2 and 3 consists of neutral centrosymmetric [[Fe(III)(bipy)(CN)(4)](2)M(II)(H(2)O)(4)] heterotrinuclear units and crystallization water molecules. The [Fe(bipy)(CN)(4)](-) entity of 1 is present in 2 and 3 acting as a monodentate ligand toward M(H(2)O)(4) units [M = Mn(II) (2) and Zn(II) (3)] through one cyanide group, the other three cyanides remaining terminal. Four water molecules and two cyanide nitrogen atoms from two [Fe(bipy)(CN)(4)](-) units in trans positions build a distorted octahedron surrounding Mn(II) (2) and Zn(II) (3). The structure of the [Fe(phen)(CN)(4)](-) complex ligand in 2 and 3 is close to that of the one in 1. The intramolecular Fe-M distances are 5.126(1) and 5.018(1) A in 2 and 3, respectively. 4 exhibits a neutral one-dimensional polymeric structure containing two types of [Fe(bipy)(CN)(4)](-) units acting as bismonodentate (Fe(1)) and trismonodentate (Fe(2)) ligands versus the divalent zinc cations through two cis-cyanide (Fe(1)) and three fac-cyanide (Fe(2)) groups. The environment of the iron atoms in 4 is distorted octahedral as in 1-3, whereas the zinc atom is pentacoordinated with five cyanide nitrogen atoms, describing a very distorted square pyramid. The iron-zinc separations across the single bridging cyanides are 5.013(1) and 5.142(1) A at Fe(1) and 5.028(1), 5.076(1), and 5.176(1) A at Fe(2). The magnetic properties of 1-3 have been investigated in the temperature range 2.0-300 K. 1 is a low-spin iron(III) complex with an important orbital contribution. The magnetic properties of 3 correspond to the sum of two magnetically isolated spin triplets, the antiferromagnetic coupling between the low-spin iron(III) centers through the -CN-Zn-NC- bridging skeleton (iron-iron separation larger than 10 A) being very weak. More interestingly, 2 exhibits a significant intramolecular antiferromagnetic interaction between the central spin sextet and peripheral spin doublets, leading to a low-lying spin quartet.  相似文献

Fluor-chlorellestadite solid solutions Ca(10)(SiO(4))(3)(SO(4))(3)Cl(2-x)F(x), serving as prototype crystalline matrices for the fixation of hazardous fly ash, were synthesized and characterized by powder X-ray and neutron diffraction (PXRD and PND), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The lattice parameters of the ellestadites vary linearly with composition and show the expected shrinkage of unit cell volume as fluorine (IR = 1.33 ?) displaces chlorine (IR = 1.81 ?). FTIR spectra indicate little or no OH(-) in the solid solutions. All compositions conform to P6(3)/m symmetry where F(-) is located at the 2a (0, 0, (1)/(4)) position, while Cl(-) is displaced out of the 6h Ca(2) triangle plane and occupies 4e (0, 0, z) split positions with z ranging from 0.336(3) to 0.4315(3). Si/S randomly occupy the 6h tetrahedral site. Ellestadites rich in Cl (x ≤ 1.2) show an overall deficiency in halogens (<2 atom per formula unit), particularly Cl as a result of CaCl(2) volatilization, with charge balance achieved by the creation of Ca vacancies (Ca(2+) + 2Cl(-) →□(Ca) + 2□(Cl)) leading to the formula Ca(10-y)(SiO(4))(3)(SO(4))(3)Cl(2-x-2y)F(x). For F-rich compositions the vacancies are found at Ca(2), while for Cl-rich ellestadites, vacancies are at Ca(1). It is likely the loss of CaCl(2) which leads tunnel anion vacancies promotes intertunnel positional disorder, preventing the formation of a P2(1)/b monoclinic dimorph, analogous to that reported for Ca(10)(PO(4))(6)Cl(2). Trends in structure with composition were analyzed using crystal-chemical parameters, whose systematic variations served to validate the quality of the Rietveld refinements.  相似文献

We have successfully applied electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) and (1)H NMR analyses to study ligand substitution reactions of mu-oxo ruthenium bipyridine dimers cis,cis-[(bpy)(2)(L)RuORu(L')(bpy)(2)](n+) (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine; L and L' = NH(3), H(2)O, and HO(-)) with solvent molecules, that is, acetonitrile, methanol, and acetone. The results clearly show that the ammine ligand is very stable and was not substituted by any solvents, while the aqua ligand was rapidly substituted by all the solvents. In acetonitrile and acetone solutions, the substitution reaction of the aqua ligand(s) competed with a deprotonation reaction from the ligand. The hydroxyl ligand was not substituted by acetonitrile or acetone, but it exchanged slowly with CH(3)O(-) in methanol. The substitution reaction of the aqua ligands in [(bpy)(2)(H(2)O)Ru(III)ORu(III)(H(2)O)(bpy)(2)](4+) was more rapid than that of the hydroxyl ligand in [(bpy)(2)(H(2)O)Ru(III)ORu(IV)(OH)(bpy)(2)](4+). In methanol, slow reduction of Ru(III) to Ru(II) was observed in all the mu-oxo dimers, and the Ru-O-Ru bridge was then cleaved to give mononuclear Ru(II) complexes.  相似文献

Complexation of VO(2+) ion with the most abundant class of human immunoglobulins, immunoglobulin G (IgG), was studied using EPR spectroscopy. Differently from the data in the literature which report no interaction of IgG with vanadium, in the binary system VO(2+)/IgG at least three sites with comparable strength were revealed. These sites, named 1, 2, and 3, seem to be not specific, and the most probable candidates for metal ion coordination are histidine-N, aspartate-O or glutamate-O, and serinate-O or threoninate-O. The mean value for the association constant of (VO)(x)IgG, with x = 3-4, is log β = 10.3 ± 1.0. Examination of the ternary systems formed by VO(2+) with IgG and human serum transferrin (hTf) and human serum albumin (HSA) allows one to find that the order of complexing strength is hTf ? HSA ≈ IgG. The behavior of the ternary systems with IgG and one insulin-enhancing agent, like [VO(6-mepic)(2)], cis-[VO(pic)(2)(H(2)O)], [VO(acac)(2)], and [VO(dhp)(2)], where 6-mepic, pic, acac, and dhp indicate the deprotonated forms of 6-methylpicolinic and picolinic acids, acetylacetone, and 1,2-dimethyl-3-hydroxy-4(1H)-pyridinone, is very similar to the corresponding systems with albumin. In particular, at the physiological pH value, VO(6-mepic)(IgG)(OH), cis-VO(pic)(2)(IgG), and cis-VO(dhp)(2)(IgG) are formed. In such species, IgG coordinates nonspecifically VO(2+) through an imidazole-N belonging to a histidine residue exposed on the protein surface. For cis-VO(dhp)(2)(IgG), log β is 25.6 ± 0.6, comparable with that of the analogous species cis-VO(dhp)(2)(HSA) and cis-VO(dhp)(2)(hTf). Finally, with these new values of log β, the predicted percent distribution of an insulin-enhancing VO(2+) agent between the high molecular mass (hTf, HSA, and IgG) and low molecular mass (lactate) components of the blood serum at physiological conditions is calculated.  相似文献

Interaction of the lacunary [alpha-XW(9)O(33)](9-) (X = As(III), Sb(III)) with Fe(3+) ions in acidic, aqueous medium leads to the formation of dimeric polyoxoanions, [Fe(4)(H(2)O)(10)(beta-XW(9)O(33))(2)](6-) (X = As(III), Sb(III)) in high yield. X-ray single-crystal analyses were carried out on Na(6)[Fe(4)(H(2)O)(10)(beta-AsW(9)O(33))(2)] x 32H(2)O, which crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group C2/m, with a = 20.2493(18) A, b = 15.2678(13) A, c = 16.0689(14) A, beta = 95.766(2) degrees, and Z = 2; Na(6)[Fe(4)(H(2)O)(10)(beta-SbW(9)O(33))(2)] x 32H(2)O is isomorphous with a = 20.1542(18) A, b = 15.2204(13) A, c = 16.1469(14) A, and beta = 95.795(2) degrees. The selenium and tellurium analogues are also reported, [Fe(4)(H(2)O)(10)(beta-XW(9)O(33))(2)](4-) (X = Se(IV), Te(IV)). They are synthesized from sodium tungstate and a source of the heteroatom as precursors. X-ray single-crystal analysis was carried out on Cs(4)[Fe(4)(H(2)O)(10)(beta-SeW(9)O(33))(2)] x 21H(2)O, which crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P macro 1, with a = 12.6648(10) A, b = 12.8247(10) A, c = 16.1588(13) A, alpha = 75.6540(10) degrees, beta = 87.9550(10) degrees, gamma = 64.3610(10) gamma, and Z = 1. All title polyanions consist of two (beta-XW(9)O(33)) units joined by a central pair and a peripheral pair of Fe(3+) ions leading to a structure with idealized C(2h) symmetry. It was also possible to synthesize the Cr(III) derivatives [Cr(4)(H(2)O)(10)(beta-XW(9)O(33))(2)](6-) (X = As(III), Sb(III)), the tungstoselenates(IV) [M(4)(H(2)O)(10)(beta-SeW(9)O(33))(2)]((16)(-)(4n)-) (M(n+) = Cr(3+), Mn(2+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), Zn(2+), Cd(2+), and Hg(2+)), and the tungstotellurates(IV) [M(4)(H(2)O)(10)(beta-TeW(9)O(33))(2)]((16-4n)-) (M(n+) = Cr(3+), Mn(2+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+), Cd(2+), and Hg(2+)), as determined by FTIR. The electrochemical properties of the iron-containing species were also studied. Cyclic voltammetry and controlled potential coulometry aided in distinguishing between Fe(3+) and W(6+) waves. By variation of pH and scan rate, it was possible to observe the stepwise reduction of the Fe(3+) centers.  相似文献

M?ssbauer spectroscopy and magnetization studies of YBaCo(4-x)Fe(x)O(7+δ) (x = 0-0.8) oxidized at 0.21 and 100 atm O(2), indicate an increasing role of penta-coordinated Co(3+) states when the oxygen content approaches 8-8.5 atoms per formula unit. Strong magnetic correlations are observed in YBaCo(4-x)Fe(x)O(8.5) from 2 K up to 55-70 K, whilst the average magnetic moment of Co(3+) is lower than that for δ ≤ 0.2, in correlation with the lower (57)Fe(3+) isomer shifts determined from M?ssbauer spectra. The hypothesis on dominant five-fold coordination of cobalt cations was validated by molecular dynamics modeling of YBaCo(4)O(8.5). The iron solubility limit in YBaCo(4-x)Fe(x)O(7+δ) corresponds to approximately x ≈ 0.7. The oxygen intercalation processes in YBaCo(4)O(7+δ) at 470-700 K, analyzed by X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetry and controlled-atmosphere dilatometry, lead to unusual volume expansion opposing to the cobalt cation radius variations. This behavior is associated with increasing cobalt coordination numbers and with rising local distortions and disorder in the crystal lattice on oxidation, predicted by the computer simulations. When the oxygen partial pressure increases from 4 × 10(-5) to 1 atm, the linear strain in YBaCo(4)O(7+δ) ceramics at 598 K is as high as 0.33%.  相似文献

The hydrothermal reaction of Th(NO3)4.xH2O with V2O5 and H6TeO6 at 200 degrees C under autogenously generated pressure results in the formation of Th(VO2)2(TeO6)(H2O)2 as a pure phase. The single-crystal X-ray data indicate that Th(VO2)2(TeO6)(H2O)2 possesses a three-dimensional structure constructed from ThO9 tricapped trigonal prisms, VO5 distorted square pyramids, VO4 distorted tetrahedra, and TeO6 distorted octahedra. Both of the vanadium polyhedra contain VO2+ vanadyl units with two short V=O bond distances. The tellurate octahedron is tetragonally distorted and utilizes all of its oxygen atoms to bond to adjacent metal centers, sharing edges with ThO9 and VO5 units, and corners with two ThO9, one VO5, and two VO4 polyhedra. Crystallographic data: Th(VO2)2(TeO6)(H2O)2, orthorhombic, space group Pbca, a = 12.6921(7), b = 11.5593(7), c = 13.0950(8) A, Z = 8 (T = 193 K). The UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectrum of Th(VO2)2(TeO6)(H2O)2 shows vanadyl-based charge-transfer absorption features. Th(VO2)2(TeO6)(H2O)2 decomposes primarily to Th(VO3)4 when heated at 600 degrees C in air.  相似文献
