A novel dinuclear platinum(II) complex, [Pt(2)-N,N'-bis(2-dimethylaminoethyl oxamide)Cl(4)], showing peculiar structural features, has been prepared and characterized. X-ray diffraction data reveal that the two platinum ions are simultaneously bound to the N,N'-bis(2-dimethylaminoethyl) oxamide ligand, on opposite sides. The coordination environment of both platinum centers is square planar, with identical NOCl(2) donor sets. The complex is poorly soluble within a physiological buffer but moderately soluble in DMSO. Preliminary in vitro studies point out that this dinuclear platinum complex exhibits significant growth-inhibiting properties on a panel of cultured human tumor cell lines, although less pronounced than those of cisplatin.  相似文献

A new benzimidazole-based diamide ligand-N,N'-bis(alanine-2-benzimidazolyl) hexanediamide (ABHA) has been synthesized and utilized to prepare Cu(II) complexes of general composition [Cu(ABHA)X2].nH2O,where X is an exogenous anionic ligand (X=Cl-,NO3-). Low temperature EPR spectra has been obtained that shows gparallel>gperpendicular>2.0024, indicating a tetragonal geometry in the solution state. The complexes display a quasi-reversible redox wave due to the Cu(II)/Cu(I) reduction process. E1/2 values shift anodically as NO3-相似文献

New osmium(II)-arene complexes [(η6-C6H6)OsCl(C5H4N-2-CH=N-C6H5X)](PF6) (X = p-flouro (1), p-chloro (2), p-methyl (3)) were synthesized by reaction of the corresponding bidentate N,N′-ligands with the osmium-arene precursor [(η6-C6H6)Os(μ-Cl)Cl]2 in a 2:1 ratio. These complexes were characterized by UV–Vis, IR, 1H, 13C NMR spectroscopy, and elemental analysis and, for compound 1, a single crystal X-ray structure was also obtained. The complexes were investigated for antiproliferative activity in vitro against MCF-7 (human breast adenocarcinoma), Caco-2 (human epithelial colorectal adenocarcinoma), and HepG2 (human hepatocellular carcinoma) tumor cell lines. To test their selectivity, the non-tumor HEK293 (human embryonic kidney) cell line was used. The compounds were selective toward the tumor cell lines when compared to the known anticancer drug 5-fluorouracil which displayed low selectivity. The compounds were substantially more active against Caco-2 than 5-fluorouracil. They also showed moderate activity against the other two tumor cell lines. In addition, the antimicrobial activity of complex 2 was explored against a panel of antimicrobial-susceptible and -resistant Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. Complex 2 showed anti-mycobacterial activity against Mycobacterium smegmatis and bactericidal activity against drug-resistant Enterococcus faecalis and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 43300.  相似文献

A thiosemicarbazone Cu(II) complex anchored to a polystyrene framework has been synthesized and characterized by analytical and spectroscopic techniques. The complex was found to be a highly active catalyst for the oxidation of various organic substrates including alkenes and alcohols using H2O2 as oxidant. The reaction conditions were optimized with respect to temperature, solvent, oxidant, catalyst amount, and substrate to peroxide ratio. The heterogeneous catalyst was reused five times without significant loss of activity. A comparison between the catalytic activities of this polymer-supported Cu(II) complex and its homogeneous analogue was carried out.  相似文献

Azole compounds have attracted commercial interest due to their high bactericidal and plant‐growth‐regulating activities. Uniconazole [or 1‐(4‐chlorophenyl)‐4,4‐dimethyl‐2‐(1H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐1‐yl)pent‐1‐en‐3‐ol] is a highly active 1,2,4‐triazole fungicide and plant‐growth regulator with low toxicity. The pharmacological and toxicological properties of many drugs are modified by the formation of their metal complexes. Therefore, there is much interest in exploiting the coordination chemistry of triazole pesticides and their potential application in agriculture. However, reports of complexes of uniconazole are rare. A new cobalt(II) complex of uniconazole, namely dichloridotetrakis[1‐(4‐chlorophenyl)‐4,4‐dimethyl‐2‐(1H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐1‐yl‐κN4)pent‐1‐en‐3‐ol]cobalt(II), [CoCl2(C15H18ClN3O)4], was synthesized and structurally characterized by element analysis, IR spectrometry and X‐ray single‐crystal diffraction. The crystal structural analysis shows that the CoII atom is located on the inversion centre and is coordinated by four uniconazole and two chloride ligands, forming a distorted octahedral geometry. The hydroxy groups of an uniconazole ligands of adjacent molecules form hydrogen bonds with the axial chloride ligands, resulting in one‐dimensional chains parallel to the a axis. The complex was analysed for its antifungal activity by the mycelial growth rate method. It was revealed that the antifungal effect of the title complex is more pronounced than the effect of fungicide uniconazole for Botryosphaeria ribis, Wheat gibberellic and Grape anthracnose.  相似文献

A manganese(II) complex of 4-(4-methylphenyl)-3,5-bis(2-pyridyl)-4H-1,2,4-triazole (MBPT) was synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography. [Mn(MBPT)2(H2O)2](ClO4)2?·?4H2O is a divalent mononuclear manganese(II) complex with manganese coordinated to four nitrogens from two triazole ligands and two oxygens from two water molecules in a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. The complex and ligand were tested in vitro for their antibacterial activities. The title complex showed a wide range of bactericidal activities.  相似文献

New platinum complexes have been synthesized by the reaction of Na2PtCl4 with 2-acetylpyridine-4-cyclohexyl-thiosemicarbazone, HAc4CyclHexyl (1). The new complexes [Pt(Ac4CyclHexyl)Cl] (2) and [Pt(Ac4CyclHexyl)2] (3) have been characterized by elemental analyses and spectroscopic studies. The crystal structure of the complex [Pt(Ac4CyclHexyl)Cl] · DMF has been solved by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The anion of Ac4CyclHexyl coordinates in a planar conformation to the central platinum(II) through the pyridyl N, azomethine N and thiolato S atoms. The crystal packing is determined by double intermolecular hydrogen interactions, π–π, Pt–C and Pt–π contacts. The cytotoxic activities of 13 have been evaluated for antiproliferative activity in vitro against the cells of three human cancer cell lines: MCF-7 (human breast cancer cell line), T24 (bladder cancer cell line), A-549 (non-small cell lung carcinoma) and a mouse L-929 (a fibroblast-like cell line cloned from strain L). The compounds 13 display IC50 values in a μM range better than that of the antitumor drug cisplatin and are considered as agents with potential antitumor activity candidates for further stages of screening in vitro and/or in vivo.  相似文献

The preparation, spectroscopic properties, and catalase-like activity of the dimanganese(II) complex [Mn2L(OAc)(H2O)2](H2O)2 (H3L: 2,6-bis[(prolin-1-yl)methyl]4-t-butylphenol) are reported. The title compound was a suitable catalyst for the disproportionation of H2O2 into water and dioxygen under ambient conditions. Kinetic measurements resulted in the bimolecular rate law of d[O2]/dt = k[H2O2][Mn2L(OAc)(H2O)2](H2O)2].  相似文献

A new pendant armed Schiff base macrocyclic complex of [CdL]2+, was prepared via cyclocondensation of 2,6-bis(2- formylphenoxymethyl)pyridine with branched hexaamine in the presence of Cd(II) ion. The ligand was 23-membered oxaazamacrocycle having two 2-aminoethyl pendant arms [L: 3,28-dioxa-14,17-bis(aminoethyl)-11,14,17,20,34- pentaazatetracyclo[34.3.1] tetratriacontane-1(34), 4, 6, 8, 10, 20, 22, 24, 26, 30, 32-undecaene]. The complex was investigated by IR, 1H NMR, microanalysis and MALDI mass spectroscopy. The structure of the complex was verified by ab initio HF-MO calculations using a standard 3-21G* basis set. This article introduces an unusual seven-membered chelate ring and shows that by its using, the Cd-N bonds lengths within the macrocycle would be longer and also Cd(II)-pendant amine bonds lengths would be shorter.  相似文献

Metal complexes are recently being hybridized with different moieties to discover new drugs due to their advantageous attributes. Among the metals, copper is a good one to synthesize a metal complex due to its being endogenous, redox and DNA cleavage potential, reported anti-cancer efficacies and selective permeability for cancer cells. In this study, first we synthesized a new copper (II) complex and determined its toxic doses on NIH/3T3 normal fibroblast cells, SPC212 mesothelioma and DU145 prostate cancer cells. Then, we ascertained anti-proliferative, apoptotic, morphological, oxidative and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress inducing effects of these newly synthesized compounds on DU145 prostate cancer cells. A novel Copper(II)/1-(4-(trifluoromethyl)benzyl)-1H-benzimidazole/2,2′-bipyridyl complex was synthesized and mainly characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Anti-proliferative effect of copper(II) complex was gauged by MTT. Oxidative and ER stress were evaluated by ELISA and Western blot. The morphological effect was examined by microscope analysis. Besides, immunocytochemistry of Bax, a pro-apoptotic protein and PCNA, a proliferation marker protein was performed. As a result, the inhibitory effect of newly synthesized substance was superior to the chemicals from which it was synthesized. Its IC50s against DU145 were 37.0, 21.1 and 10.0 µM for 24, 48 and 72 h-treatments, respectively. Oxidative and ER stress increased after treatment. In microscopy, we observed apoptotic hallmarks like nuclear condensation, cellular shrinkage and membrane blebbings. In immunochemistry, increased Bax and decreased PCNA were apparent. Copper(II) complex with its relatively low IC50 can also be tested on other cancer and normal cell lines.  相似文献

Three new Ru(II) complexes, [Ru(dmb)2(ipad)](ClO4)2 (dmb = 4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine, ipad = 2-(anthracene-9,10-dione-2-yl) imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline, 1), [Ru(dmp)2(ipad)](ClO4)2 (dmp = 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline, 2), and [Ru(dip)2(ipad)](ClO4)2 (dip = 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline, 3), have been synthesized and characterized. The three Ru(II) complexes intercalate with the base pairs of DNA. The in vitro antiproliferative activities and apoptosis-inducing characteristics of these complexes were investigated. The complexes exhibited cytotoxicity against various human cancer cell lines. BEL-7402 cells displayed the highest sensitivity to 1, accounted for by the greatest cellular uptake. Complex 1 was shown to accumulate preferentially in the nuclei of BEL-7402 cells and cause DNA damage and induce apoptosis, which involved cell cycle arrest and reactive oxygen species generation.  相似文献

A new cobalt(II) complex, [Co(C3H4N2)(C8H8O5)(H2O)2]·2H2O, of demethylcantharate(7-oxabicyclo[2,2,1]heptane-2,3-dicarboxylate, C8H8O5) with imidazole has been synthesized from cobalt chloride, demethylcantharidin (NCTD) and imidazole. The complex was characterized by elemental analysis, IR, and X-ray single crystal diffraction. The complex crystallized in the monoclinic crystal system and P21/m space group with a?=?0.634790(10)?nm, b?=?0.963030(10)?nm, c?=?1.221770(10)?nm, α?=?90°, β?=?95.9700(10)°, γ?=?90°, V?=?0.742844(15)?nm3, Mr ?=?383.22, Dc ?=?1.713?g?cm?3, Z?=?2, F(0?0?0)?=?398, μ?=?1.206?mm?1, the final R?=?0.0291, and wR?=?0.0837 [I?>?2σ(I?)]. The interaction of the complex with deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) was studied by electronic absorption spectra, fluorescence spectra, and viscosity measurements, which indicate that the complex binds to calf thymus DNA through a partially intercalative mode. The binding constant K b for the complex was 2.62?×?104?L?mol?1. The antiproliferation activity test showed that the complex has high antiproliferative ability against human hepatoma cells SMMC7721 (with IC50 being 42.8?±?0.9?µmol?L?1) and human lung cancer cells A549 (with IC50 being 65.1?±?3.2?µmol?L?1). The inhibition rates of the complex are much higher than those of NCTD.  相似文献

A supported Ni(II) complex has been synthesized and characterized by FTIR, UV–vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and scanning electron microscopy. Its catalytic activity was evaluated for alkyne–azide coupling and benzothiazole synthesis. These reactions were found to require mild conditions, reaction times, and most importantly, could be carried out in aqueous medium. The catalyst could be easily recovered and reused five times without significant decrease in its activity. Leaching tests indicated that the catalyst is truly heterogeneous. The nickel complex was tested for its inhibition of germination of MTU 7029 seeds. Rice (MTU 7029, Oryza sativa) is a staple crop in southeast Asia.  相似文献

A new Ni(II) complex, namely [Ni2(OAc)L]·ClO4·H2O, was synthesized by [2 + 2] cyclo-condensation between 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol and N,N-bis(3-aminopropyl)-4-methoxybenzylamine (amba) in the presence of nickel(II) and characterized by spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and X-ray single crystal diffraction. The interactions of the complex with DNA have been measured by spectroscopy and viscosity measurements. Absorption spectroscopic investigation reveals intercalative binding of the Ni(II) complex with DNA, with a binding constant of 2.6 × 104 M−1. Fluorescence spectroscopy shows that the Ni(II) complex can displace ethidium bromide and bind to DNA, with a quenching constant of 7.57 × 103 M−1. The appearance of increased CD bands near 245 and 275 nm gives evidence for effective complex DNA binding. The agarose gel electrophoresis studies show that the complex displays effective DNA cleavage activity in the absence of any external agents.  相似文献

A manganese(II) complex of 2,4,6-tris(2-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine (tptz) has been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analyses, IR, and UV–Vis spectroscopic techniques. Oxidation of alcohols to their corresponding aldehydes and ketones was conducted by this catalyst using oxone (2KHSO5·KHSO4·K2SO4) as an oxidant under biphasic reaction conditions (CH2Cl2/H2O) and tetra-n-butylammonium bromide as phase transfer agent under air at room temperature. Easy preparation, mild reaction conditions, high yields of the products, short reaction times, no further oxidation to the corresponding carboxylic acids, high selectivity and inexpensive reagents make this catalytic system a useful oxidation method for aliphatic and benzylic alcohols.  相似文献

A novel proton transfer compound (H2Ppz)(HDipic)2 (I) obtained from 2-(piperazin-1-yl)ethanol (Ppz) and pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid (H2Dipic) and its Cu(II) complex (H2Ppz)[Cu(Dipic)2] · 6H2O (II) have been prepared and characterized by elemental, spectral (1H and 13C NMR, IR and Uv-Vis) and thermal analyses. Magnetic measurement and single crystal X-ray diffraction methods have also been applied for compound II. The molecular structure of II consists of one 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)piperazine-1,4-diium cation, one bis(pyridinium-2,6-dicarboxylate)Cu(II) anion and six uncoordinated water molecules. In complex II, the copper ion coordinates to two oxygen and one nitrogen atoms of two pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate molecules forming an octahedral conformation. Furthermore, the synthesised compounds (I and II) were screened for their antimicrobial activities against Gram (?) (Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and Gram (+) (Staphylococcusaureus and Bacillus cereus). The results were reported, discussed and compared with the corresponding starting materials (H2Dipic and Ppz).  相似文献
