We study low temperature reactivity of methylamine (CH3NH2) and carbon dioxide (CO2) mixed within different ratios, using FTIR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. We report experimental evidence that the methylammonium methylcarbamate [CH3NH3(+)][C3NHCO2(-)] and methylcarbamic acid (CH3NHCOOH) are formed when the initial mixture CH3NH2:CO2 is warmed up to temperatures above 40 K. An excess of CH3NH2 favors the carbamate formation while an excess of CO2 leads to a mixture of both methylammonium methylcarbamate and methylcarbamic acid. Quantum calculations show that methylcarbamic acid molecules are associated into centrosymmetric dimers. Above 230 K, the carbamate breaks down into CH3NH2 and CH3NHCOOH, then this latter dissociates into CH3NH2 and CO2. After 260 K, it remains on the substrate a solid residue made of a well-organized structure coming from the association between the remaining methylcarbamic acid dimers. This study shows that amines can react at low temperature in interstellar ices rich in carbon dioxide which are a privileged place of complex molecules formation, before being later released into "hot core" regions.  相似文献

We have theoretically investigated how the low-energy conformers of the neutral and the zwitterionic forms of glycine as well as methylcarbamic acid are stabilized by the presence water. The MP2/6-311++G(d,p) method was utilized to conduct calculations on glycine and methylcarbamic acid in both isolated clusters and in clusters embedded in the conductor-like polarizable continuum model (C-PCM), where the clusters explicitly contain between one and ten water molecules. The neutral forms of glycine and methylcarbamic acid were found to have similar hydration energies, whereas the neutral methylcarbamic acid was determined to be approximately 32 kJ mol(-1) more stable than the neutral glycine in the isolated clusters and 30 kJ mol(-1) more stable in the C-PCM embedded clusters. Both the number and strength of the hydrogen bonding interactions between water and the zwitterions drive the stability. This lowers the relative energy of the glycine zwitterion from 50 kJ mol(-1) above neutral glycine, when there are two water molecules in the clusters to 11 kJ mol(-1) below for the clusters containing ten water molecules. For the methylcarbamic acid clusters with two water molecules, the zwitterion is 51 kJ mol(-1) higher in energy than the neutral form, but it remains 13 kJ mol(-1) above the neutral methylcarbamic acid in the clusters containing ten water molecules. When the bulk water environment is simulated by the C-PCM calculations, we find both the methylcarbamic acid and glycine zwitterionic forms have similar energies at 20 kJ mol(-1) above the neutral methylcarbamic acid energy and 10 kJ mol(-1) lower than the neutral glycine energy. Although neither methylcarbamic acid nor glycine have been detected in the interstellar medium yet, our findings indicate that methylcarbamic acid is the more stable product from methylamine and carbon dioxide reactions in a water ice. This suggests that methylcarbamic acid likely plays a role in the intermediate steps if glycine is formed in the interstellar medium.  相似文献

Preparations of the first metal complexes of triethynylphosphine (TEP) are described. They are of the type fac-Re(bpy)(CO)(3)(TEP)(+) (1) and cis,trans-[Re(bpy)(CO)(2)(TEP)L](n)(+) (CH(3)CN, n = 1, complex 2; Cl, n = 0, complex 3), where bpy is 2,2'-bipyridine. Complex 1 displays unusual photochemical behavior compared to analogous fac-[Re(bpy)(CO)(3)(PR(3))](+) complexes in that it emits from a state that has pi-pi* character but undergoes competitive photosubstitution of both TEP and CO. Density functional theory (DFT)/time-dependent DFT calculations predict that the lowest emitting state should, in fact, have pi-pi* character.  相似文献

Copper-, manganese-, and zinc-based ionic liquids (Cu{NH(2)CH(2)CH(2)OH}(6)[CH(3)(CH(2))(3)CH(C(2)H(5))CO(2)](2) (2), Cu{NH(CH(2)CH(2)OH)(2)}(6)[CH(3)(CH(2))(3)CH(C(2)H(5))CO(2)](2) (3A), Cu{NH(CH(2)CH(2)OH)(2)}(6)[CF(3)SO(3)](2) (3B), Cu{NH(CH(2)CH(2)OH)(2)}(6)[(CF(3)SO(2))(2)N](2) (3C), Mn{NH(CH(2)CH(2)OH)(2)}(6)[CF(3)SO(3)](2) (4), and Zn{NH(2)CH(2)CH(2)OH}(6)[CF(3)SO(3)](2) (5)) are synthesized in a single-step reaction. Infrared data suggest that ethanolamine preferentially coordinates to the metal center through the amine group in 2 and the hydroxyl group in 5. In addition, diethanolamine coordinates through the amine group in 3A, 3C, and 4 and the hydroxyl group in 3B. The compounds are viscous (>1000 cP) at room temperature, but two (3C and 4) display specific conductivities that are reasonably high for ionic liquids (>20 mS cm(-1)). All of the compounds display a glass transition (T(g)) below -50 °C. The cyclic voltammograms (CVs) of 2, 3A, 3B, and 3C display a single quasi-reversible wave associated with Cu(II)/Cu(I) reduction and re-oxidation while 5 shows a wave attributed to Zn(II)/Zn(0) reduction and stripping (re-oxidation). Compound 4 is the first in this new family of transition metal-based ionic liquids (MetILs) to display reversible Mn(II)/Mn(III) oxidation and re-reduction at 50 mV s(-1) using a glassy carbon working electrode.  相似文献

We have theoretically investigated the low energy conformers of neutral glycine (NH(2)CH(2)COOH) and its isomer methylcarbamic acid (CH(3)NHCOOH) in the gas phase. A total of 16 different levels of the theory, including CCSD(T), MP2 and B3LYP methods with various Pople and Dunning type basis sets with and without polarization and diffuse functions were used. We found eight low energy glycine conformers, where the heavy atoms in three have a planar backbone, and four low energy methylcarbamic acid conformers all with non-planar backbones. Interestingly at all levels of theory, we found that the most stable methylcarbamic acid conformer is significantly lower in energy than the lowest energy glycine conformer. The MP2 level and single point CCSD(T) calculations show the lowest energy methylcarbamic acid conformer to be between 31 to 37 kJ mol(-1) lower in energy than the lowest energy glycine conformer. These calculations suggest that methylcarbamic acid might serve as a precursor to glycine formation in the Interstellar Medium (ISM). We also report the theoretical harmonic vibrational frequencies, infrared intensities, moment of inertia, rotational constants and dipole moments for all of the conformers. In order to understand how glycine or methylcarbamic acid might be formed in the ISM, larger calculations which model glycine or its isomer interacting with several surrounding molecules, such as water, are needed. We demonstrate that B3LYP method should provide a reliable and computationally practical approach to modeling these larger systems.  相似文献

α-Carboxylate radical anions are potential reactive intermediates in the free radical oxidation of biological molecules (e.g., fatty acids, peptides and proteins). We have synthesised well-defined α-carboxylate radical anions in the gas phase by UV laser photolysis of halogenated precursors in an ion-trap mass spectrometer. Reactions of isolated acetate (˙CH(2)CO(2)(-)) and 1-carboxylatobutyl (CH(3)CH(2)CH(2)˙CHCO(2)(-)) radical anions with dioxygen yield carbonate (CO(3)˙(-)) radical anions and this chemistry is shown to be a hallmark of oxidation in simple and alkyl-substituted cross-conjugated species. Previous solution phase studies have shown that C(α)-radicals in peptides, formed from free radical damage, combine with dioxygen to form peroxyl radicals that subsequently decompose into imine and keto acid products. Here, we demonstrate that a novel alternative pathway exists for two α-carboxylate C(α)-radical anions: the acetylglycinate radical anion (CH(3)C(O)NH˙CHCO(2)(-)) and the model peptide radical anion, YGGFG˙(-). Reaction of these radical anions with dioxygen results in concerted loss of carbon dioxide and hydroxyl radical. The reaction of the acetylglycinate radical anion with dioxygen reveals a two-stage process involving a slow, followed by a fast kinetic regime. Computational modelling suggests the reversible formation of the C(α) peroxyl radical facilitates proton transfer from the amide to the carboxylate group, a process reminiscent of, but distinctive from, classical proton-transfer catalysis. Interestingly, inclusion of this isomerization step in the RRKM/ME modelling of a G3SX level potential energy surface enables recapitulation of the experimentally observed two-stage kinetics.  相似文献

The photoionization and photodissociation of L-valine are studied by tunable synchrotron vacuum ultraviolet photoionization mass spectrometry at the photon energy of 13 eV. The ionization energy of L-valine and the appearance energies of major fragments are measured by the photoionization efficiency spectrum in the photon energy range of 8-11 eV. Possible formation pathways of the major fragments, NH(2)CHC(OH)(2)(+) (m/z=75), NH(2)(CH(3))(2)(CH)(2)(+) (m/z=72) and NH(2)CHCO(+) (m/z=57), are discussed in detail with the theoretical calculations at the B3LYP/6-31++G (d, p) level. Hydrogen migration is considered as the key way for the formation of NH(2)CHC(OH)(2)(+) (m/z=75) and NH(2)CHCO(+) (m/z=57). Furthermore, other fragments, NH(2)CHCOOH(+) (m/z=74), (CH(3))(2)(CH)(2)(+) (m/z=56), C(4)H(7)(+) (m/z=55), NH(2)CHOH(+) (m/z=46), NH(2)CH(2)(+) (m/z=30) and m/z=18, species are also briefly described.  相似文献

Uranium and uranium dioxide carbonyl cations produced by laser vaporization are studied with mass-selected ion infrared spectroscopy in the C-O stretching region. Dissociation patterns, spectra, and quantum chemical calculations establish that the fully coordinated ions are U(CO)(8)(+) and UO(2)(CO)(5)(+), with D(4d) square antiprism and D(5h) pentagonal bipyramid structures. Back-bonding in U(CO)(8)(+) causes a red-shifted CO stretch, but back-donation is inefficient for UO(2)(CO)(5)(+), producing a blue-shifted CO stretch characteristic of nonclassical carbonyls.  相似文献

Allenes, though expected to be linear, are found to be bent in many examples, especially in the case of cyclic allenes. The bending of allene is attributed to the weakening of π-bond strength across the allene. However, tetrakis(dimethylamino)allene {((CH(3))N)(2)C═C═C(N(CH(3))(2))}, which is characterized by push-push interactions, has been shown to be linear, thus leading to doubts of the current understanding of the bent allenes. In this article, we report the ab initio MO/DFT, NBO based electronic structure analysis of R(2)C═C═CR(2) (R = H, NH(2)) with a gradual increase in the number of amino substituents. The results indicate that the allenic π-bond strength and bending potential decrease, with an increase in the amino substitution. Molecular orbital analysis provides necessary clues regarding the delicate balance between orthogonality of the π orbitals and the p orbitals on the central carbon, which dictates the bending potential of the allenes. The dilemma of to bend or not to bend is a unique feature of tetraaminoallenes (NH(2))(2)C═C═C(NH(2))(2) in comparison to isoelectronic heteroallenes (NH(2))(2)C═N═C(NH(2))(2)(+) and (NH(2))(2)C═B═C(NH(2))(2)(-).  相似文献

Argon matrix infrared spectra of the complexes formed between formohydroxamic acid (HCONHOH) and carbon monoxide have been recorded. The experimental results indicate formation of three isomeric complexes. In two complexes the NH or OH groups of formohydroxamic acid are attached to the carbon atom of the CO molecule and in the third complex the NH group interacts with the oxygen atom of CO. The formohydroxamic acid complex with two CO molecules is also trapped in the matrix. One of the two CO molecules interacts with the NH group and the second one with the OH group of HCONHOH, in both cases the site of interaction is the carbon atom of CO. Theoretical studies of the structure and spectral characteristics of the complexes were carried out on the DFT(B3LYP)/6-311++G(2d,2p) level. The calculated vibrational frequencies for the complexes present in the matrices are in good agreement with the experimental data. The calculations show also an additional potential energy minimum corresponding to the complex in which the OH group of formohydroxamic acid is attached to the oxygen atom of carbon monoxide.  相似文献

The pharmacologically active [Ru(CO)(3)Cl(glycinate)] is shown to be in equilibrium with [Ru(CO)(2)(CO(2)H)Cl(glycinate)](-) (isomers) at around pH 3.1 which then at physiological pH reacts with more base to give [Ru(CO)(2)(CO(2))Cl(glycinate)](2-) (isomers) or [Ru(CO)(2)(CO(2)H)(OH)(glycinate)](-) (isomers). The ease with which [Ru(CO)(3)Cl(glycinate)] reacts with hydroxide results in it producing a solution in water with a pH of around 2 to 2.5 depending on concentration and making its solutions more acidic than those of acetic acid at comparable concentrations. Acidification of [Ru(CO)(3)Cl(glycinate)] with HCl gives [Ru(CO)(3)Cl(2)(NH(2)CH(2)CO(2)H)]. The crystal structures of [Ru(CO)(3)Cl(glycinate)] and [Ru(CO)(3)Cl(2)(NH(2)CH(2)CO(2)Me)] are reported.  相似文献

The sI type methane clathrate hydrate lattice is formed during the process of nucleation where methane gas molecules are encapsulated in the form of dodecahedron (5(12)CH(4)) and tetrakaidecahedron (5(12)6(2)CH(4)) water cages. The characterization of change in the vibrational modes which occur on the encapsulation of CH(4) in these cages plays a key role in understanding the formation of these cages and subsequent growth to form the hydrate lattice. In this present work, we have chosen the density functional theory (DFT) using the dispersion corrected B97-D functional to characterize the Raman frequency vibrational modes of CH(4) and surrounding water molecules in these cages. The symmetric and asymmetric C-H stretch in the 5(12)CH(4) cage is found to shift to higher frequency due to dispersion interaction of the encapsulated CH(4) molecule with the water molecules of the cages. However, the symmetric and asymmetric O-H stretch of water molecules in 5(12)CH(4) and 5(12)6(2)CH(4) cages are shifted towards lower frequency due to hydrogen bonding, and interactions with the encapsulated CH(4) molecules. The CH(4) bending modes in the 5(12)CH(4) and 5(12)6(2)CH(4) cages are blueshifted, though the magnitude of the shifts is lower compared to modes in the high frequency region which suggests bending modes are less affected on encapsulation of CH(4). The low frequency librational modes which are collective motion of the water molecules and CH(4) in these cages show a broad range of frequencies which suggests that these modes largely contribute to the formation of the hydrate lattice.  相似文献

The hydridoirida-β-diketone [IrHCl{(PPh(2)(o-C(6)H(4)CO))(2)H}] (1) reacts with benzylamine (C(6)H(5)CH(2)NH(2)) to give the hydridoirida-β-ketoimine [IrHCl{(PPh(2)(o-C(6)H(4)CO))(PPh(2)(o-C(6)H(4)CNCH(2)C(6)H(5)))H}] (2), stabilized by an intramolecular hydrogen bond. 2 reacts with water to undergo hydrolysis and amine coordination giving hydridodiacylamino [IrH(PPh(2)(o-C(6)H(4)CO))(2)(C(6)H(5)CH(2)NH(2))] (3). Cyclohexylamine or dimethylamine lead to hydridodiacylamino [IrH(PPh(2)(o-C(6)H(4)CO))(2)L] (4-5). In chlorinated solvents hydridodiacylamino complexes undergo exchange of hydride by chloride to afford [IrCl(PPh(2)(o-C(6)H(4)CO))(2)L] (6-9). The reaction of 1 with hydrazine (H(2)NNH(2)) gives hydridoirida-β-ketoimine [IrHCl{(PPh(2)(o-C(6)H(4)CO))(PPh(2)(o-C(6)H(4)CNNH(2)))H}] (10), fluxional in solution with values for ΔH(?) of 2.5 ± 0.3 kcal mol(-1) and for ΔS(?) of -32.9 ± 3 eu. A hydrolysis/imination sequence can be responsible for fluxionality. 2-Aminopyridines (RHNC(5)H(3)R'N) react with 1 to afford cis-[IrCl(PPh(2)(o-C(6)H(4)CO))(PPh(2)(o-C(6)H(4)CHNRC(5)H(3)R'N))] (R = R' = H (11), R = CH(3), R' = H (12), R = H, R' = CH(3) (13)) containing new terdentate PCN ligands in a facial disposition and cis phosphorus atoms as kinetic products. The formation of 11-13 requires imination of the hydroxycarbene moiety of 1, coordination of the nitrogen atom of pyridine to iridium, and iridium to carbon hydrogen transfer. In refluxing methanol, complexes 11-13 isomerize to afford the thermodynamic products 14-16 with trans phosphorus atoms. Chloride abstraction from complexes [IrCl(PPh(2)(o-C(6)H(4)CO))(PPh(2)(o-C(6)H(4)CHNRC(5)H(4)N))] (R = H or CH(3)) leads to decarbonylation of the acylphosphine chelating group to afford cationic complexes [Ir(CO)(PPh(2)(o-C(6)H(4)))(PPh(2)(o-C(6)H(4)CHNRC(5)H(4)N))]A, 17 (R = H, A = ClO(4)) and 18 (R = CH(3), A = BF(4)) as a cis/trans = 4:1 mixture of isomers. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis was performed on 6, 9, 13, and 14.  相似文献

We report on the interaction of carbon monoxide with cationic gold clusters in the gas phase. Successive adsorption of CO molecules on the Au(n)(+) clusters proceeds until a cluster size specific saturation coverage is reached. Structural information for the bare gold clusters is obtained by comparing the saturation stoichiometry with the number of available equivalent sites presented by candidate structures of Au(n)(+). Our findings are in agreement with the planar structures of the Au(n)(+) cluster cations with n < or = 7 that are suggested by ion mobility experiments [Gilb, S.; Weis, P.; Furche, F.; Ahlrichs, R.; Kappes, M. M. J. Chem. Phys. 2001, 116, 4094]. By inference we also establish the structure of the saturated Au(n)(CO)(m)(+) complexes. In certain cases we find evidence suggesting that successive adsorption of CO can distort the metal cluster framework. In addition, the vibrational spectra of the Au(n)(CO)(m)(+) complexes in both the CO stretching region and in the region of the Au-C stretch and the Au-C-O bend are measured using infrared photodepletion spectroscopy. The spectra further aid in the structure determination of Au(n)(+), provide information on the structure of the Au(n)(+)-CO complexes, and can be compared with spectra of CO adsorbates on deposited clusters or surfaces.  相似文献

The N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) precursor, 1-(2-aminoethyl)-3-methylimidazolium nitrate, [NH(2)(CH(2))(2)imMe)]NO(3) ([3][NO(3)]) reacted with Ag(2)CO(3) in dimethyl sulfoxide readily yielding a Ag(I)-(NHC-NH(2)) complex presenting limited stability in solution. The in situ carbene transfer reaction of the latter with [Au(tht)Cl] afforded the first example of a dinuclear gold(I) complex [Au(2)(NH(2)(CH(2))(2)imMe)(2)][NO(3)](2) ([5][NO(3)](2)) bearing a primary amino-functionalized NHC ligand. The complex has been characterized by NMR, mass spectrometry, X-ray crystallography and cyclic voltammetry; the electrochemical behaviour and photophysical properties of [5][NO(3)](2) have been also investigated and the experimental data have been compared with density functional theory (DFT) and Time Dependent (TDDFT) calculations. Single-crystal structural studies showed that the Au(I)-carbene compound contains dinuclear (AuL)(2) cations in which pairs of gold(I) centres are linked by a pair of bridging ligands, with a Au···Au aurophilic contact of 3.2332(17) ? that is maintained in solution as documented by the DFT calculations. Complex [5][NO(3)](2) is photoluminescent in solution at room temperature and the high energy emission peak at 410 nm is remarkably shifted with respect to the absorption band centered at 260 nm.  相似文献

Experiments using infrared excitation of either the intramolecular symmetric N-H stretch (ν(NH,S)) or the intramolecular antisymmetric N-H stretch (ν(NH,A)) of the ammonia dimer ((NH(3))(2)) in combination with velocity-map ion imaging provide new information on the dissociation energy of the dimer and on the energy disposal in its dissociation. Ion imaging using resonance enhanced multiphoton ionization to probe individual rovibrational states of one of the ammonia monomer fragments provides recoil speed distributions. Analyzing these distributions for different product states gives a dissociation energy of D(0) = 660 ± 20 cm(-1) for the dimer. Fitting the distributions shows that rotations are excited up to their energetic limit and determines the correlation of the fragment vibrations. The fragments NH(3)(ν(2) = 3(+)) and NH(3)(ν(2) = 2(+)) have a vibrational ground-state partner NH(3)(ν = 0), but NH(3)(ν(2) = 1(+)) appears in partnership with another fragment in ν(2) = 1. This propensity is consistent with the idea of minimizing the momentum gap between the initial and final states by depositing a substantial fraction of the available energy into internal excitation.  相似文献

Four heterobimetallic U(vi)/M(ii) (M = Mn, Co, Cd) carboxyphosphonates have been synthesized. M(2)[(UO(2))(6)(PO(3)CH(2)CO(2))(3)O(3)(OH)(H(2)O)(2)]·16H(2)O (M = Mn(ii), Co(ii), and Cd(ii)) adopt cubic three-dimensional network structures with large cavities approximately 16 ? in diameter that are filled with co-crystallized water molecules. [Cd(3)(UO(2))(6)(PO(3)CH(2)CO(2))(6)(H(2)O)(13)]·6H(2)O forms a rhombohedral channel structure with hydrated Cd(ii) within the channels. The cubic compound (Co) displays differential gas absorption with a surface area for CO(2) uptake of 40 m(2) g(-1) at 273 K, and no uptake of N(2) at 77 K.  相似文献

The cationic ruthenium hydride complex [(PCy(3))(2)(CO)(CH(3)CN)(2)RuH](+)BF(4)(-) was found to be a highly effective catalyst for the C-H bond activation reaction of arylamines and terminal alkynes. The regioselective catalytic synthesis of substituted quinoline and quinoxaline derivatives was achieved from the ortho-C-H bond activation reaction of arylamines and terminal alkynes by using the catalyst Ru(3)(CO)(12)/HBF(4).OEt(2). The normal isotope effect (k(CH)/k(CD) = 2.5) was observed for the reaction of C(6)H(5)NH(2) and C(6)D(5)NH(2) with propyne. A highly negative Hammett value (rho = -4.4) was obtained from the correlation of the relative rates from a series of meta-substituted anilines, m-XC(6)H(4)NH(2), with sigma(p) in the presence of Ru(3)(CO)(12)/HBF(4).OEt(2) (3 mol % Ru, 1:3 molar ratio). The deuterium labeling studies from the reactions of both indoline and acyclic arylamines with DCCPh showed that the alkyne C-H bond activation step is reversible. The crossover experiment from the reaction of 1-(2-amino-1-phenyl)pyrrole with DCCPh and HCCC(6)H(4)-p-OMe led to preferential deuterium incorporation to the phenyl-substituted quinoline product. A mechanism involving rate-determining ortho-C-H bond activation and intramolecular C-N bond formation steps via an unsaturated cationic ruthenium acetylide complex has been proposed.  相似文献

Temperature-dependent gas-phase reaction kinetics measurements and equilibrium thermodynamics under multicollision conditions in conjunction with ab initio DFT calculations were employed to determine the binding energies of carbon monoxide to triatomic silver-gold binary cluster cations and anions. The binding energies of the first CO molecule to the trimer clusters increase with increasing gold content and with changing charge from negative to positive. Thus, the reactivity of the binary clusters can be sensitively tuned by varying charge state and composition. Also, multiple CO adsorption on the clusters was investigated. The maximum number of adsorbed CO molecules was found to strongly depend on cluster charge and composition as well. Most interestingly, the cationic carbonyl complex Au(3)(CO)(4)(+) is formed at cryogenic temperature, whereas for the anion, only two CO molecules are adsorbed, leading to Au(3)(CO)(2)(-). All other trimer clusters adsorb three CO molecules in the case of the cations and are completely inert to CO in our experiment in the case of the anions.  相似文献
