拓扑超流态是一种奇异物质态,它的内部受能隙保护,而在其系统边缘却可以容纳无能隙的Majorana 费米子。由于该粒子满足非阿贝尔统计,并且受拓扑保护具有良好的稳定性,用它 们携带量子化的信息,可以用于拓扑量子计算的研究。近年来,理论工作预测了各类系统中可能 存在的拓扑超流态。我们首先介绍了在各类光晶格模型中的拓扑超流, 光晶格的超冷原子具有良 好的可控性与普适性,是实现拓扑超流的理想模型系统。接下来我们介绍了自旋轨道耦合调控下 的拓扑超流,自旋轨道耦合效应是诱导拓扑相的重要条件,并且人们已经在实验上合成了人工自 旋轨道耦合,这为实验上观测拓扑超流取得了突破性的进展。随着近年来实验技术的提高,曾经 难以在实验中观测的,被人们所忽略的拓扑Fulde-Ferrell-Larkin-Ovchinnikov (FFLO) 超流相也 成为了人们研究的热点,因此我们接下来介绍了拓扑的FFLO 超流。此外,我们还介绍了拓扑超 流其他方面的进展,包括孤子引诱的拓扑超流、三组分的拓扑超流、大陈数的拓扑超流以及拓扑 超流临界温度的提高。在实验中,如何检测与实现拓扑超流,是其研究的目的及意义所在,因 此我们在文章的最后介绍了拓扑超流的识别与实现。  相似文献

The gapless Weyl superfluid has been widely studied in the three-dimensional ultracold fermionic superfluid.In contrast to Weyl superfluid, there exists another kind of gapless superfluid with topologically protected nodal lines,which can be regarded as the superfluid counterpart of nodal line semimetal in the condensed matter physics, just as Weyl superfluid with Weyl semimetal. In this paper we study the ground states of the cold fermionic gases in cubic optical lattices with one-dimensional spin-orbit coupling and transverse Zeeman field and map out the topological phase diagram of the system. We demonstrate that in addition to a fully gapped topologically trivial phase, some different nodal line superfluid phases appear when the Zeeman field is adjusted. The presence of topologically stable nodal lines implies the dispersionless zero-energy flat band in a finite region of the surface Brillouin zone. Experimentally these nodal line superfluid states can be detected via the momentum-resolved radio-frequency spectroscopy. The nodal line topological superfluid provide fertile grounds for exploring exotic quantum matters in the context of ultracold atoms.  相似文献

We report on the creation of ultracold heteronuclear molecules assembled from fermionic 40K and bosonic 87Rb atoms in a 3D optical lattice. Molecules are produced at a heteronuclear Feshbach resonance on both the attractive and the repulsive sides of the resonance. We precisely determine the binding energy of the heteronuclear molecules from rf spectroscopy across the Feshbach resonance. We characterize the lifetime of the molecular sample as a function of magnetic field and measure lifetimes between 20 and 120 ms. The efficiency of molecule creation via rf association is measured and is found to decrease as expected for more deeply bound molecules.  相似文献

The effective theory for the hierarchical fractional quantum Hall (FQH) effect is proposed. We also derive the topological numbers K matrix and t vector and the general edge excitation from the effective theory. We provide a detailed study of the general structure of translationally invariant two-dimensional topological stabilizer quantum error correcting codes, including subsystem codes. We show that they can be understood in terms of the homology of string operators that carry a certain topological charge. In subsystem codes, two dual kinds of charges appear. We prove that two non-chiral codes are equivalent under local transformations iff they have isomorphic topological charges. Our approach emphasizes local properties over global ones.  相似文献

The properties of dynamical solitons (magnon droplets) in the classical, two-dimensional anisotropic Heisenberg model with easy-axis exchange anisotropy are studied. The solution of the Landau-Lifshitz equation in the continuum limit for the soliton with topological charge q = 1 is obtained numerically using a shooting method. We analized a wide range of the anisotropy parameter and our results are in good agreement with results obtained from spin dynamics simulations. The dependence of an internal precession frequency of the soliton on both the anisotropy parameter and the radius of the soliton is also investigated. Topological superconductors are foreseen as good candidates for the search of Majorana zero modes, where they appear as edge states and can be used for quantum computation. In this context, it becomes necessary to study the robustness and behavior of electron states in topological superconductors when a magnetic or non-magnetic impurity is present. The focus is on scattering resonances in the bands and on spin texture to know what the spin behavior of the electrons in the system will be. It is found that the scattering resonances appear outside the superconducting gap, thus providing evidence of topological robustness. Non-trivial and anisotropic spin textures related to the Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction are also found. The spin textures show a Ruderman–Kittel–Kasuya–Yosida interaction governed by Friedel oscillations. It is believed that the results are useful for further studies which consider many-point-impurity scattering or a more structured impurity potential with a finite range.  相似文献

We compute the genus one correction to the integrable hierarchy describing coupling to gravity of a 2D topological field theory. The bihamiltonian structure of the hierarchy is given by a classical W-algebra; we compute the central charge of this algebra. We also express the generating function of elliptic Gromov–Witten invariants via tau-function of the isomonodromy deformation problem arising in the theory of WDVV equations of associativity. We measure the expansion of an ultracold plasma across the field lines of a uniform magnetic field. We image the ion distribution by extracting the ions with a high-voltage pulse onto a position-sensitive detector. Early in the lifetime of the plasma (<20 micros), the size of the image is dominated by the time-of-flight Coulomb explosion of the dense ion cloud. For later times, we measure the 2D Gaussian width of the ion image, obtaining the transverse expansion velocity as a function of the magnetic field (up to 70 G). We observe that the expansion velocity scales as B(-1/2), explained by a nonlinear ambipolar diffusion model with anisotropic diffusion in two different directions.  相似文献

在粒子模拟的PIC(particle in cell)模式中,与场有关的物理量如电磁场等分配在固定的网格点上,而粒子则可在计算区域的任意位置上.设计了一个二维三分量的粒子模拟程序,并用它计算了空间物理中两种常见的物理现象:束流不稳定性和磁场重联.在束流不稳定性问题中,一束速度为Vb=10VA(VA为Alfvén速度)的等离子体在背景等离子中运动,通过波粒相互作用可激发沿磁场方向传播的Alfvén波.在磁场重联问题中,具有Harris形态的电流片可自发地引起磁场重联,并且By分量的磁场具有四极形分布.  相似文献

We describe a topological string theory which reproduces many aspects of the 1/N expansion of SU(N) Yang-Mills theory in two spacetime dimensions in the zero coupling (A= 0) limit. The string theory is a modified version of topological gravity coupled to a topological sigma model with spacetime as target. The derivation of the string theory relies on a new interpretation of Gross and Taylor's “Ω-1 points ”. We describe how inclusion of the area, coupling of chiral sectors, and Wilson loop expectation values can be incorporated in the topological string approach. We suppose that the doping of the 2D hard-core boson system away from half-filling may result in the formation of a multicenter topological defect such as charge order (CO) bubble domain(s) with Bose superfluid (BS) and extra bosons both localized in domain wall(s), or a topological CO + BS phase separation, rather than a uniform mixed CO + BS supersolid phase. Starting from the classical model, we predict the properties of the respective quantum system. The long-wavelength behavior of the system is believed to resemble that of granular superconductors, CDW materials, Wigner crystals, and multiskyrmion system akin in a quantum Hall ferromagnetic state of a 2D electron gas.  相似文献

We realize a two-dimensional kagome lattice for ultracold atoms by overlaying two commensurate triangular optical lattices generated by light at the wavelengths of 532 and 1064 nm. Stabilizing and tuning the relative position of the two lattices, we explore different lattice geometries including a kagome, a one-dimensional stripe, and a decorated triangular lattice. We characterize these geometries using Kapitza-Dirac diffraction and by analyzing the Bloch-state composition of a superfluid released suddenly from the lattice. The Bloch-state analysis also allows us to determine the ground-state distribution within the superlattice unit cell. The lattices implemented in this work offer a near-ideal realization of a paradigmatic model of many-body quantum physics, which can serve as a platform for future studies of geometric frustration.  相似文献

In this paper, by the use of the topological current theory, the topological structures and the dynamic processes in thin-film ferromagnetic systems are investigated directly from the viewpoint of topology. It is found that the topological charge of a thin-film ferromagnetic system can be changed by annihilation or creation processes of opposite polarized vortex–antivortex pairs taking place at space–time singularities of the normalized magnetization vector field of the system, the variation of the topological charge is integer and can further be expressed in terms of the Hopf indices and Brouwer degrees of the magnetization vector field around the singularities. Moreover, the change of the topological charge of the system is crucial to vortex core reversal processes in ferromagnetic thin films. With the help of the topological current theory and implicit function theorem, the processes of vortex merging, splitting as well as vortex core reversal are discussed in detail.  相似文献

Using a recently developed approach for treating the three-dimensional anisotropic scattering we find considerable influence of a nonresonant laser field with intensity I> or =10(5) W/cm(2) on the Cs-Cs ultracold collisions. Strong dependence on the laser wavelength lambda(L) is shown at the optical region as lambda(L) becomes shorter than the critical value lambda(0) approximately 3000 nm (of the atomic de Broglie wave lambda) defining the region lambda(0)< or =lambda of the s-wave domination in the absence of the external field. Dependence on the laser polarization is also essential. The found effect can be applicable for controlling atom-atom interactions at ultralow temperatures.  相似文献

Low temperature properties of a finite-size ideal Fermi gas trapped in a quartic potential are studied. The curves of the chemical potential and specific heat varying with the particle number and temperature are plotted. The results obtained here are based on the numerical calculation of the state sum without invoking the Thomas–Fermi approximation, so that the more detailed dependences of the chemical potential and specific heat on the particle number and temperature are revealed.  相似文献

The N-body problem in a tilted double well requires new features for macroscopic quantum superposition in ultracold atoms. In particular, one needs to go beyond the single-particle ground state in each well. We provide explicit criteria for when two energy levels are needed to describe the state space. For typical experimental parameters, two levels are indeed required for the creation of macroscopic superposition states. Furthermore, we show that a small tilt causes the collapse of such states. However, partial macroscopic superposition states reappear when the tilt can be compensated by atom-atom interactions.  相似文献

We present non‐equilibrium molecular dynamics simulation studies on the dynamic (complex) shear viscosity of a 2D many‐particle system interacting via a Yukawa (Debye‐Hückel) type inter‐particle potential.
