Noise-induced coherence resonance, an effect akin to the well-known phenomenon of stochastic resonance, has been described recently for excitable systems driven by white noise. 为研究噪声在网络中的作用及对时空行为的影响, 通过电耦合、近邻连接的Morris-Lecar模型构建了同质可兴奋细胞网络. 单元振子的确定性行为表现为Ⅱ型兴奋性的静息. 在高斯白噪声的作用下, 网络会在较大的噪声强度范围产生螺旋波, 以及在某些较小的噪声强度范围产生杂乱的空间结构. 随着噪声强度的增加, 螺旋波的结构会在简单和复杂之间转换, 或与杂乱的空间结构交替出现. 通过空间结构函数及其信噪比的计算, 发现简单螺旋波的信噪比较大, 复杂螺旋波以及杂乱的时空结构的信噪比较小. 信噪比随着噪声强度的增加会出现多次极大值, 说明白噪声可以在可兴奋细胞网络中诱导多次空间相干共振. 研究结果提示现实的可兴奋系统能有多次机会选择不同强度的噪声加以合理利用.  相似文献

利用两种恒定电信号刺激介质不同区域来产生分布式电流, 外界分布式电流内化为跨膜电流后在介质中形成稳定的梯度力可抑制螺旋波的传播. 当螺旋波被消除后系统进一步演化为均匀态且对应的膜片电位采样序列逐渐趋于一个稳定值. 在考虑噪声情况下, 该方法仍然能消除螺旋波, 对其采样序列分析也验证了方法的可靠性. 关键词: 螺旋波 分布式电流 激发介质  相似文献

We propose a method for obtaining a signal leading to the activation of an excitable dynamic system for a signal energy close to minimal. The efficiency of this technique, which is based on recording and processing of noise samples preceding the activation was tested using the FitzHugh–Nagumo, Hodgkin–Huxley, and Luo–Rudy models as examples. It is shown that the proposed procedure gives good results when the noise intensity is smaller than or close to the system activation energy. The criteria of “low” and “high” intensities of fluctuations are proposed. The method of increasing the stability of the excitable system with respect to “low-intensity” noise by filtering or another way of suppression of the spectral components that make the main contribution to the energetically optimal activation signal is justified. The relation between eigenvalues of the linearized system of the Hamiltonian equations, which describe the optimal trajectories and the activation signal, and eigenvalues of the excitable system linearized near the initial equilibroum state is found.  相似文献

Spatial coherence resonance in a two-dimensional neuronal network induced by additive Gaussian coloured noise and parameter diversity is studied. We focus on the ability of additive Gaussian coloured noise and parameter diversity to extract a particular spatial frequency (wave number) of excitatory waves in the excitable medium of this network. We show that there exists an intermediate noise level of the coloured noise and a particular value of diversity, where a characteristic spatial frequency of the system comes forth. Hereby, it is verified that spatial coherence resonance occurs in the studied model. Furthermore, we show that the optimal noise intensity for spatial coherence resonance decays exponentially with respect to the noise correlation time. Some explanations of the observed nonlinear phenomena are also presented.  相似文献

Time-delayed feedback is exploited for controlling noise-induced motion in coherence resonance oscillators. Namely, under the proper choice of time delay, one can either increase or decrease the regularity of motion. It is shown that in an excitable system, delayed feedback can stabilize the frequency of oscillations against variation of noise strength. Also, for fixed noise intensity, the phenomenon of entrainment of the basic oscillation period by the delayed feedback occurs. This allows one to steer the time scales of noise-induced motion by changing the time delay.  相似文献

Experimental evidence of coherence resonance in an optical system is reported. We show that the regularity of the excitable pulses in the intensity of a laser diode with optical feedback increases when adding noise, up to an optimal value of the noise strength. Both phase and amplitude fluctuations of the pulses play a relevant role in the dynamics of the system. We introduce the joint entropy of the two variables to generalize the indicator of coherence, and we put in evidence the mechanism of destruction of the excitable orbit after the resonance.  相似文献

We study the effects of noise on excitable DS found on nonlinear Kerr cavities, showing that the system exhibits coherence resonance, characterized by a maximum degree of regularity for intermediate noise intensities. This behavior is observed for two different ways of applying noise: an additive white uncorrelated spatio-temporal noise and including fluctuations in the intensity of an addressing beam.  相似文献

Ion traps are a versatile tool to study nonequilibrium statistical physics, due to the tunability of dissipation and nonlinearity. We propose an experiment with a chain of ions, where dissipation is provided by laser heating and cooling, while nonlinearity is provided by trap anharmonicity and beam shaping. The dynamics are governed by an equation similar to the complex Ginzburg-Landau equation, except that the reactive nature of the coupling leads to qualitatively different behavior. The system has the unusual feature of being both oscillatory and excitable at the same time. The patterns are observable for realistic experimental parameters despite noise from spontaneous emission. Our scheme also allows controllable experiments with noise and quenched disorder.  相似文献

The paper considers an excitable Hodgkin-Huxley system subjected to a strong periodic forcing in the presence of random noise. The influence of the forcing frequency on the response of the system is examined in the realm of suprathreshold amplitudes. Our results confirm that the presence of noise has a detrimental effect on the neuronal response. Fluctuations can induce significant delays in the detection of an external signal. We demonstrate, however, that this negative influence may be minimized by a resonant activation effect: Both the mean escape time and its standard deviation exhibit a minimum as functions of the forcing frequency. The destructive influence of noise on the interspike interval can also be reduced. With driving signals in a certain frequency range, the system can show stable periodic spiking even for relatively large noise intensities. Outside this frequency range, noise of similar intensity destroys the regularity of the spike trains by suppressing the generation of some of the spikes.  相似文献

The dynamics of coupled excitable FitzHugh Nagumo systems under external noisy driving is studied. Different from most of previous work focusing on the noise-induced regularity in the framework of coherence resonance, here the average frequency (or firing rate) of coupled excitable elements is of much more concern. We find that (i) their frequencies first increase and then decrease with the increase of the coupling, and there is a clear crossover from a rush increase to a smooth increase with the increase of noise strength, and (ii) for nonidentical cases, all elements transit to an identical frequency simultaneously only after a certain coupling strength is achieved. These first-increase-thendecrease non-monotonic frequency behavior and isochronous frequency synchronization are believed to be two basic behaviors in coupled noisy excitable systems.  相似文献

We study effects of additive noise on a pacemaker driven excitable cellular array. We find that the subthreshold periodic pacemaker can largely enhance noise-induced synchrony in the array already at very small noise intensities. The phenomenon is tested for robustness against various diffusion coefficients and system sizes. Results are discussed in view of their biological importance.  相似文献

Pattern synchronization in a two-layer neuronal network is studied. For a single-layer network of Rulkov map neurons, there are three kinds of patterns induced by noise. Additive noise can induce ordered patterns at some intermediate noise intensities in a resonant way; however, for small and large noise intensities there exist excitable patterns and disordered patterns, respectively. For a neuronal network coupled by two single-layer networks with noise intensity differences between layers, we find that the two-layer network can achieve synchrony as the interlayer coupling strength increases. The synchronous states strongly depend on the interlayer coupling strength and the noise intensity difference between layers.  相似文献

Influence of small time-delays in coupling between noisy excitable systems on the coherence resonance and self-induced stochastic resonance is studied. Parameters of delayed coupled deterministic excitable units are chosen such that the system has only one attractor, namely the stationary state, for any value of the coupling and the time-lag. Addition of white noise induces qualitatively different types of coherent oscillations, and we analyzed the influence of coupling time-delay on the properties of these coherent oscillations. The main conclusion is that time-lag τ≥1, but still smaller than the refractory period, and sufficiently strong coupling drastically change signal to noise ratio in the quantitative and qualitative way. An interval of noise values implies quite large signal to noise ratio and different types of noise induced coherence are greatly enhanced. We also observed coincident spiking for small noise intensity and time-lag proportional to the inter-spike interval of the coherent spike trains. On the other hand, time-lags τ<1 and/or weak coupling induce negligible changes in the properties of the stochastic coherence.  相似文献

We study the propagation of periodic pulse trains in excitable media exposed to external spatio-temporal noise using the light-sensitive Belousov-Zhabotinsky reaction with the underlying Oregonator model as representative example. In the weak noise approximation we find noise-induced transitions in the dispersion relation of pulse trains. We discuss noise-enhanced propagation of pulse trains within a certain wave-length range caused by external noise of moderate strength.  相似文献

We show that front motion can be induced by noise in a spatially extended excitable system with a global constraint. Our model system is a semiconductor superlattice exhibiting complex dynamics of electron accumulation and depletion fronts. The presence of noise induces a global change in the dynamics of the system forcing stationary fronts to move through the entire device. We demonstrate the effect of coherence resonance in our model; i.e., there is an optimal level of noise at which the regularity of front motion is enhanced. Physical insight is provided by relating the space-time dynamics of the fronts with a phase-space analysis.  相似文献

In this Letter we extend the concept of stochastic resonance. We show that in forced excitable systems noise can be responsible for the appearance of recurrences presenting a robust topological organization inequivalent to the periodic orbits of the deterministic system. 研究加性Lévy噪声与周期外力对FitzHugh-Nagumo可激系统中螺旋波动力学行为的影响.螺旋波波头的运动随外力周期在一定范围内呈规则变化,该规则变化可用相应的傅立叶谱理解,维持该规则变化的是锁频行为.Lévy噪声序列中包含着小概率的大尺度噪声,螺旋波波头运动改变主要来自于它们的影响,本文指出Lévy噪声对波头运动的影响也依赖于外力周期的取值.在适当的参数取值下,Lévy噪声的存在也能导致螺旋波的消失,这为螺旋波的控制、消除提供了一种方法.分析了系统周期与外力周期的锁定行为,给出了不同噪声强度下的Arnold舌,指出随机共振行为的存在.  相似文献

Mean field approximation of a large collection of FitzHugh-Nagumo excitable neurons with noise and all-to-all coupling with explicit time-delays, modelled by N?1 stochastic delay-differential equations is derived. The resulting approximation contains only two deterministic delay-differential equations but provides excellent predictions concerning the stability and bifurcations of the averaged global variables of the exact large system.  相似文献
