The one-loop NLO radiative corrections (RC) to the observables in polarized DIS using assumption that a quark is an essential massive particle are considered. If compared with classical QCD formulae the obtained results are identical for the unpolarized and different for polarized sum rules, that can be explained as the influence of the finite quark mass effects on NLO QCD corrections. The explicit expression for one-loop NLO QCD contribution to the structure function g 2 is presented.  相似文献

The spin structure of the nucleon can play a key testing ground for the Quantum Chromo-Dynamics(QCD) at wide kinematic ranges from smaller to large four momentum transfer Q 2. It is far more challenging to understand the QCD at small Q 2 region due to the non-perturbative nature. Jefferson Lab has been one of the major experimental facilities for the spin structure with its polarized electron beams and various polarized targets. A few QCD sum rules have been compared with the measured spin structure functions g 1 and g 2 at low Q 2 and the most surprising results have been obtained for the spin polarizabilities, γ 0 and δ LT .  相似文献

Relying on the hard scattering formalism we estimate cross sections and spin asymmetries for large-pt jet production from two-photon processes in collisions of electrons and positrons of definite helicity states. We use distribution functions of polarized partons in polarized electrons obtained in a modified leading logarithmic approximation as well as spin-dependent parton cross sections according to lowest-order QCD calculations. Detecting at least one forward or backward hadronic jet, topologies of jets can be observed different from the 2 large pt production.  相似文献

We examine the target mass effects in spin-dependent deep inelastic electroproduction within the framework of Wilson's operator product expansion. Simple analytic expressions for the Nachtmann moments of polarized structure functions g1 and g2 are obtained and their Q2 evolutions are considered in QCD. The Bjorken and Burkhardt-Cottingham sum rules including target mass effects are derived and the QCD g2 corrections are discussed.  相似文献

A realistic phenomenological model combining parton/QCD ideas with lower energy SU(6) constraints is proposed for the shape and evolution of the leading spin-dependent structure function Gep(x, Q2) in polarized electroproduction. Close's broken-SU(6) ansatz is used to relate appropriately defined polarized quark-parton distribution densities to unpolarized ones at the matching momentum scale Q2 = Q02. The differences between spin and helicity distribution densities as well as the complications due to perturbative QCD and parton kT (with related target-mass) effects are taken into account. Evolution to higher (>10 GeV2) values of Q2 (where target-mass effects can be neglected) yields experimentally testable numerical predictions that are presented through various plots. The value of Q0 is self-consistently determined to be about 0.5 GeV.  相似文献

Relations between the structure functions g1 and g2 of polarized DIS are derived in the leading perturbative QCD approximation, starting with the sum rules for twist-3 parton correlation functions which follow from gauge invariance and the equation of motion of the quark fields. For the first moments they coincide with the approximate relations proposed earlier by Wandzura and Wilczek as well as Bukhvostov, Kuraev and Lipatov.  相似文献

We analyse inclusive photoproduction of polarized 3P1 quarkonium in the framework of QCD. To separate non-perturbative and perturbative parts in the density matrix of the produced quarkonium we use a method, which is equivalent to the diagrammatic expansion widely used in analyzing deeply inelastic scattering. A systematic expansion in a small velocity v, with which a heavy quark moves inside the quarkonium in its rest frame, is performed for the non-perturbative parts, and they are expressed as matrix elements in non-relativistic QCD. At the leading order of v there are four matrix elements representing non-perturbative physics. The perturbative parts are calculated at the leading order of coupling constants. Some numerical results, especially numerical results for HERA, are given.  相似文献

The interplay between QED and QCD corrections to the longitudinal polarization asymmetry,A LR, ine + e ?, annihilation is studied. It is found that measurements with hadronic final states will be well suited for precision tests of the standard model. QCD corrections to the asymmetry are particularly small on top of theZ 0, with the leading terms induced by quark mass effects. The influence of initial state radiation inA LR is essentially accounted for by a slight shift in beam energy. Initial/final state QED bremsstrahlung interference (QED boxes) is studied in detail and its influence onA LR is found to be negligibly small, especially close to the top of theZ 0 peak. A comment on the importance of helicity nonconservation for polarized beams in the presence of photon emission is also included.  相似文献

We study inclusive χ cJ production with definite polarizations in polarized proton-proton collisions at \(\sqrt s \) = 200 and 500 GeV at RHIC by using non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) color-octet mechanism. We present results of rapidity distribution of χ c0, χ c1 and χ c2 production with specific polarizations in polarized p–p collisions at RHIC within the PHENIX detector acceptance range. We also present the corresponding results for the spin asymmetries.  相似文献

We explore the possibility to extract Δ(G(x) from a comparison of experimental data on the longitudinal spin-spin asymmetry A LL in diffractive scattering of the heavy photon on the proton with calculations performed in perturbative QCD (pQCD). The data could be obtained at the HERA collider in scattering of polarized leptons off polarized protons. We have found a kinematic region where contributions to A LL from soft processes are suppressed to guarantee an applicability of pQCD, hence the pQCD prediction can be reliably compared with data in this kinematic region.  相似文献

The single-spin and double-spin asymmetries in pp→(γ*, Z)+X processes induced by collisions of polarized protons are investigated on the basis of QCD and electroweak interaction by using the method of helicity amplitudes. Analytic expressions for the single-spin (A L) and double-spin (A LL) asymmetries are obtained, and their dependence on the dilepton transverse momentum is investigated at three values of the dilepton invariant mass. The results obtained in this study make it possible to explore the spin structure of the proton.  相似文献

We make predictions for spin asymmetries in the production of gauge bosons, such as Z0, Wsu± and γ, at large pT from the collision of longitudinally polarized hadrons using QCD perturbation theory and the electroweak gauge model in the framework of a hard scattering model. Asymmetries typically at the 20% and 4% level are predicted for the weak bosons and photon, respectively. Experimental tests should be possible in the near future, e.g., at Fermilab, ISABELLE and colliding SPS.  相似文献

We study the phenomenon of duality in hard exclusive reactions to which QCD factorization applies. Considering “two-photon”-like processes in the scalar φ E 3 model and also two-hadron (pion) production from the collisions of a real (transversely polarized) and a highly-virtual, longitudinally polarized photon in QCD, we identify two regimes of factorization, each of them associated with a distinct nonperturbative mechanism. One mechanism involves twist-3 Generalized Distribution Amplitudes, whereas the other one employs leading-twist Transition Distribution Amplitudes. In the case of the scalar φ E 3 model, we find duality in that kinematical region where the two mechanisms overlap. In the QCD case, the appearance of duality is sensitive to the particular nonperturbative model applied and can, therefore, be used as an additional adjudicator.  相似文献

It is demonstrated that the infrared renormalon calculus indicates that the QCD theoretical expressions for the Gross-Llewellyn Smith sum rule and for the Bjorken polarized and unpolarized ones contain an identical negative twist-4 1/Q2 correction. This observation is supported by the consideration of the results of calculations of the corresponding twist-4 matrix elements. Together with the indication of the similarity of the perturbative QCD contributions to these three sum rules, this observation leads to simple new theoretical relations between the Gross-Llewellyn Smith and Bjorken polarized and unpolarized sum rules in the energy region Q2 ≥ 1 GeV2. The validity of this relation is checked using concrete experimental data for the Gross-Llewellyn Smith and Bjorken polarized sum rules.  相似文献

Parity-violating pion-proton scattering is strongly dominated by so-called penguin operators. These operators are due to the presence of the neutral current, and their strength is further enhanced by the QCD renormalization effects. Without such contributions the elastic asymmetry (Al) would be an order of magnitude smaller (up to 150 MeV of the pion laboratory kinetic energy). Possible contributions from the resonance poles (?-meson, (12+)1-reson) have been also included. Thus pion scattering on the polarized proton can test the commonly-used effective QCD renormalized weak hamiltonian.  相似文献

The relation between the light-cone expansion and the QCD improved parton model formalism for polarized deep inelastic muon-production is discussed in detail. The regulator dependence of the relevant quantities is explicity studied at the two-loop level for the first moment ofg 1 P . It is shown that the anomalous gluon component is well defined if the quark term is specified as a conserved quantity that does not evolve inQ 2. The behaviour of the first moment ofg 1 P at the threshold for heavy quark production is also discussed.  相似文献

We present extended analysis of the polarized Bjorken sum rule using the four-loop expression for the coefficient function C Bjs) available now and the recent low Q 2-data from the Jefferson Lab and COMPASS experiments. We demonstrate that the perturbative series for the function C Bj gives a hint to its asymptotic nature manifesting itself in the region Q 2 ? 1 GeV2. It is confirmed by the considered integral model for the perturbative QCD correction. We analyze values of higher-twist terms extracted from the mentioned data and discuss the interplay between higher orders perturbative and higher-twist contributions. We extend our consideration to the Gross-Llewellyn Smith sum rule and investigate the relation between higher twist coefficients in these two sum rules.  相似文献

We show that the minimal Gaussian model of nonlocal vacuum quark and quark-gluon condensates in QCD violates the transverse character of the correlator of two vector currents. We suggest the improved Gaussian model of the nonperturbative QCD vacuum, which respects QCD equations of motion and minimizes the revealed gauge-invariance breakdown. We obtain the refined values of pion distribution amplitude (DA) conformal moments 〈ξ2N π (N = 1, ..., 5) using the improved QCD vacuum model, including the inverse moment 〈x ?1π, being inaccessible if one uses the standard QCD SR. We construct the allowed region for Gegenbauer coefficients a 2 and a 4 of the pion DA for two values of the QCD vacuum nonlocality parameter, λ q 2 = 0.4 and 0.5 GeV2.  相似文献

We present a next-to-leading order computation in QCD of one-jet and two-jet cross sections in polarized hadronic collisions. Our results are obtained in the framework of a general formalism that deals with soft and collinear singularities using the subtraction method. We construct a Monte Carlo programme that generates events at the partonic level. We use this code to give phenomenological predictions for pp collisions at √S = 500 GeV, relevant for the spin physics programme at RHIC. The possibility of using jet data to constrain the poorly known polarized parton densities is examined.  相似文献

An effective action for QCD at one-loop order, which is real, manifestly Lorentz and gauge invariant and which depends on an infinite family of gauge invariants (tr(F μν F μν), tr(F μν F μν F F ),...), is obtained. Moreover, anAnsatz for a vacuum configuration is made, whose corresponding vacuum energy density is lower than the one for the SavvidyAnsatz. Both the cases of pure QCD and of QCD with massless fermions are considered.  相似文献
