The mixing of octupole-vibrational bands in the 160Dy nucleus is analyzed within a phenomenological model that involves Coriolis coupling. The energies of levels in the bands, the reduced probabilities for E1 transitions from the octupole-vibrational bands to the ground-state and γ bands, and the ratios of the reduced probabilities for these transitions to the neighboring levels of the ground-state band are calculated. Satisfactory agreement with available experimental data is reached.  相似文献

The yrast states of148Dy and149Dy have been studied by γ-ray and conversion electron measurements in (α, xn) and (16O,xn) reactions on enriched152Gd and135Ce targets. Level schemes to above 4 MeV for the two nuclei are reported. The πh 2 11/2 spectrum identified in148Dy and the πh 11/2 effective chargee eff=1.52±0.05e, derived from the measuredE2 transition rate between the (πh 2 11/2) 10+ and 8+ states, are discussed and compared with results for other two-particle nuclei. The yrast cascades in148Dy and149Dy continue above the (πh 2 11/2) 10+ and πh 2 11/2 vf 7/2) 27/2? states by ~ 1 MeVE1 transitions de-exciting the lowest members of octupole multiplets built on these states. The energy shifts for the observed members of the πh 2 11/2 × 3? multiplet are analyzed in terms of twoparticle-phonon exchange coupling using an empirical coupling strength extracted from the one valence particle nucleus147Tb. The dominantvf 7/2×3? character of low-lying 13/2+ isomers in149Dy and otherN=83 nuclei is emphasized.  相似文献

The data on high-spin rotational states in155Dy,157Dy,159Dy and161Dy are discussed within a model where a particle is coupled to a rotor with a variable moment of inertia. In this model there is often a definite improvement in the quality and stability of the fits to levels in the positive-parity band below spin 25/2 when the moment of inertia of the core exhibits a linear dependence on the square of the rotational angular velocity as compared to the situation where a linear dependence onI(I+1) is assumed. In the improved fits the empirical matrix elements of the Coriolis force exhibit a smooth and significant increase with decreasing moment of inertia. The rotational energies above spin 25/2 in the positive-parity band and above 19/2 in the 11/2? [505] band are understood within the present theoretical model if the moment of inertia increases more rapidly than the linear trend established at lower spin. In the 11/2? [505] band this increase follows rather closely the behaviour in the even nuclei whereas in the positive-parity band the curves are quite flat even beyond the point where the moment of inertia in the even nuclei exhibits a discontinuous or back-bending behaviour. The significance of this observation is discussed in the light of existing theories on nuclear moments of inertia.  相似文献

Using nuclear fusion reactions of40Ar ions with112Cd,114Sn and116Sn and subsequentγ-ray spectroscopy, the probability ratios of positron emission and electron capture,β +/EC k andβ +/(EC+β +), are determined for individualβ-transitions in the decay of147m ,148m ,149m Tb,148Dy and150m ,152m Ho. From comparison with theoretical ratios the followingQ EC values, given in keV, are derived:147m Tb, 4.620(60);148m Tb, 5.730(30);149m Tb, 3.610(50);148Dy, 2.680(30);150m Ho, 6.625(120) and152m Ho, 6.470(80). The present decay-energy data are compared with earlier measurements and the new information obtained for the mass surface around146Gd is discussed.  相似文献

We considered the characteristic features of SU(3) partial dynamical symmetry in the interacting boson model framework to show the relevance of such intermediate symmetry structure in the nuclear spectroscopy of the 160Dy nucleus. The predictions of SU(3)-PDS for the energy spectrum and the transition probabilities were compared with the most recent experimental data and an acceptable degree of agreement was achieved.  相似文献

The positive-parity energy levels in the157Dy nucleus are analysed by means of the core-quasiparticle coupling model. The decoupled rotational band structure of the spectrum is reproduced by the theory. The collective components of the157Dy levels are shown. High-spin level schemes of the N = 80 isotones 146Dy, 147Ho and 148Er have been investigated by in-beam γ-ray spectroscopic methods using the NORDBALL Compton-suppressed multidetector array including proton and neutron selection. The projectile-target system 58Ni + 92Mo at 260 MeV beam energy has been used to produce the neutron-deficient N = 80 isotones. The previously known schemes have been extended to considerably higher spin and exitation energy, up to I = 23?, E x≈ 8.9 MeV in 146Dy, I = 53/2?, E x≈ 8.7 MeV in 147Ho and I = 23?, E x≈ 9.6 MeV in 148Er. The hyperfine structure of 161Dy and 163Dy for five transitions hasbeen measured with a tunable dye laser and a thermal velocity atomic beam. Values for the magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole coupling constants have been determined for the relevant excited states. The fusion reactions 48Ca + 154Sm and 16O + 186W leading to the same compound nucleus 202Pb are studied within the framework of an improved isospin dependent quantum molecular dynamics model. The entrance channel mass asymmetry dependence of compound nucleus formation is found by analyzing the shell correction energies, Coulomb barriers and fusion cross sections. The calculated fusion cross sections agree quantitatively with the experimental data. We conclude that the compound nucleus formation is favorable for the system with larger mass asymmetry.  相似文献

Coulomb excitation measurements with 16O and 4He projectiles have been performed on 160Dy, 162Dy, and 164Dy. The ground-state rotational bands up through the 8+ member were observed in the 16O experiments. The measured excitation probabilities yield B(E2; II ?2) values which are generally in agreement with the rotational predictions except for the 6+ → 4+ values. In each nucleus, probabilities for exciting the 2+, 4+, and 6+ members of the γ-vibrational band were measured and compared with calculated results. The B (E2; 0+ → 2+γ) values were measured in experiments involving 4He ions. The Kπ = 2? octupole band was observed in each nucleus in addition to 1? bands in 160Dy and 162Dy. Excitation probabilities were analyzed in an attempt to extract B(E3) values.  相似文献

With the velocity filter SHIP at the heavy ion accelerator UNILAC the energy dependence of the evaporation residues production in the reaction40Ar+164Dy was investigated. The results show a much smaller shift of the (204Po, xn) excitation functions with respect to theoretical predictions than has been reported by other authors.  相似文献

In the frame of a soluble coupled channels model we compare the exact lifetimeτ of a resonant state with two approximate estimates for thisτ. The exactτ value is related to the exact total widthΓ byτ=?Γ ?1. The first approximate method has been derived by Fermi. It consists in a first order perturbation calculation ofΓ. The second one is Smith's time-delay method which leads to a direct relation betweenτ and the behaviour of theS-matrix along the real energy axis.
