We study the sensitivity of Higgs production and decay processes to theSU(2) c symmetric couplingsO W andO UW . Remarkable results are obtained in the case of γγ→H and for certain ratios of Higgs decay widths. We also discuss and complete previous results on unitarity constraints for such couplings.  相似文献

The decays Higgs → Higgs + V (V = W, Z) are studied in the Weinberg-Salam model with two Higgs doublets and are shown to exceed the usual fermion decay mode with known fermions and the mode VV in a large region of Higgs masses and mixing angles. The construction of independentSU (3) tensors out of octets of fields is considered by investigating numerically invariantSU (3) tensors. A method of obtaining independent sets of these to any rank is discussed and also independent sets are explicitly displayed up to fifth rank. In this paper we consider the processes with real and virtual Higgs scalar H-boson in the presence of an external constant electromagnetic field. In a previous paper, we proposed the infinite sub-layer quark model, in which the proton and the neutron are made up of an infinite number of point-like (structure-less) quarks u and anti-quarks u CP at an infinite sub-layer level. In this paper, we propose that the dark matter is also made of an infinite number of quarks u and anti-quarks u CP . A pair of the ultimate quarks u and anti-quarks u CP would be produced in the first moments after the Big Bang and then remain as the dark matter for all time, stable against decay and subject only to the weak interaction and gravity. It is then shown that CP is violated in the doublet of u and u CP quarks to account for the asymmetry of the number of particles and anti-particles in the present universe. Furthermore, it is shown that the Higgs bosons are composed of u and u CP dark matter particles and give the masses to gauge bosons, quarks and leptons.  相似文献

The search for the Higgs boson was one of the most relevant issues of the final years of LEP running at high energies. An excess of 3σ beyond the background expectation has been found, consistent with the production of the Higgs boson with a mass near 115 GeV/c2. At the upgraded TeVatron and at LHC the search for the Higgs boson will continue. At TeVatron Higgs bosons can be detected with masses up to 180 GeV with an assumed total integrated luminosity of 20 fb—1. LHC has the potential to discover the Higgs boson in many different decay channels for Higgs masses up to 1 TeV. It will be possible to measure Higgs boson parameters, such as mass, width, and couplings to fermions and bosons. The results from Higgs searches at LEP2 and the possibilities for searches at hadron colliders will be reviewed.  相似文献

The Higgs Triplet Model (HTM) predicts the existences of the extra neutral scalars Hi(Hi = H, A) and the charged Higgs bosons (H± and H±±). In this work, we make a systematic investigation for the associated production of the singly-charged and neutral Higgs bosons via the processes: \(e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow H^{+}W^{-}H\) and \(e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow H^{+}W^{-}A\). From the numerical evaluations for the production cross sections and relevant phenomenological analysis we find that (i) the production rates of these processes can reach the level of several fb with reasonable parameter values; (ii) due to the large production rates and small backgrounds, the signals of these scalars might be detected via these processes at the future ILC experiments; and (iii) for the case of \(m_{H_{i}}> m_{H^{\pm }}> m_{H^{\pm \pm }}\), the cascade decay modes \(H_{i}\to H^{\pm }W^{\mp \ast }\) with \(H^{\pm }\to H^{\pm \pm }W^{\mp \ast }\) would lead to production of H++H?? accompanied by several virtual W bosons. Such characteristic feature can help us to distinguish the HTM from the Two-Higgs-Doublet Model (2HDM) and the Minimal Supersymmetric Model (MSSM).  相似文献

We show that the inclusion in the renormalization group equations of heavy colored Higgs scalars present in the grand unified model of SU(5) can affect the predictions of the model. If only the 24 and 5 of Higgs are present, the effects on the predictions are small. However, if a 45 of Higgs were present, it will lead to large uncertainties in the values of sin2θW and the lifetime of the proton due to unknown parameters in the Higgs potential; the uncertaity in the latter due to colored Higgs is a factor of 60. The effect on the b-quark mass prediction is also discussed.  相似文献

We construct a supersymmetric SU(5) model characterized by: (a) naturally massless doublet Higgs superfields; (b) the natural appearance of “light” coloured triplet Higgses of mass of the order 1010 GeV, and study proton decay as well as the generation of cosmic baryon asymmetry. We find that an appropriate choice of Higgs sector renders dimension-five operators kinematically irrelevant for the stability of the proton. Proton decay proceeds through Higgs boson exchange in terms of dimension-six operators mainly to v¯μK+,v+K0.  相似文献
